Sighing deeply as she slumped herself down onto her couch, Felicity began flicking through the different TV channels attempting to find something to quench her boredom but absolutely nothing was reaching out to her.

Moaning in protest at the movement, she felt her phone go off with an incoming call so reached out to the coffee table.

"What?"

"Well hi to you too Liz, please make an attempt to control your obvious excitement….look can you do me a favour?" Thea replied over the phone, frowning at the sound of the Oliver in the background…wait, was he whining?

"Um…Thea, is that Oliver in the background?" shifting herself up into a seated position on the cushions, Felicity concentrated more on the call Thea was currently in the progress of making.

"….urgh fine, fine yes it's Oliver, he's got a bad cold from god knows where which is, granted, hitting him quite hard but, for the love of God, he just will not shut up. He keeps whining about this and that and Liz it's driving me to insanity, literally I swear if I have to keep putting up with him for any long, I'm going to commit suicide…so for the love of God, Liz, I'm begging you here, PLEASE HELP ME and come take care of him. You're always able to somehow get him to shut up so maybe you can handle him for today?"

Listening to Thea's ramble was probably the highlight to Felicity's day, laughter bubbled in her throat and thus causing Felicity to smother her laughs with her hand, keeping her phone at a distance from her so Thea didn't hear her hopefully silent laughter.

"Thea…Thea, Th-Thea! Alright, alright you can stop talking now I don't mind taking care of Oliver for the day okay. Huh, maybe my rambling is contagious"

"Gee you think? URGH OLIVER…SHUT UP! Liz please can you get over here as soon as you can"

"I'll be there in 20, promise" Felicity laughed, hanging up the call.

Turns out Thea was definitely being thrown in the deep end as the second Felicity's hands touched their apartment door the door in question swung open and Thea drug her into the wide expanse of rooms.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you I owe you so much that I'm taking you out for lunch next week…have I ever told you how much I love you?" Thea once again rambled, linking her own arm through Felicity's right one and holding her body flush against her side.

"Uh huh, so where is he then?"

Rolling her eyes at the younger Queen, Felicity decided to move onto the actual task at hand.

"…THEA…" came an all too familiar voice from upstairs, yep with a whining edge to it, making Felicity clap a hand atop her mouth to keep the short burst of laughter at bay, if he could hear himself right now…God she'd make it a viral vine video for all the world to see.

Listening to the younger woman beside her groan and bury her face in Felicity's shoulder, she began to move them both towards the stairs and to her brother.

"Hey Ollie, I'm just letting you know that I'm going to be off somewhere, attending to something in the city so Felicity's going to be looking after you for the rest of today alright?" standing in the doorway, Thea spoke in gentle terms to her brother before dashing off downstairs and out their apartment without waiting for Oliver's response, leaving Felicity standing there alone staring after the brunette.

"Fliss…citeee"

Taking the chance present to truly look at him, Felicity ran her gaze over Oliver.

He laid buried beneath multiple covers that were half on half off the rest of his body, his legs sticking out at the bottom of his bed, making her smirk at the thought of what his reaction would be if he realised just how much of a kid he made himself look.

Crossing over to his bed and sitting at the side, Felicity laid out her hand over his forehead as that was the only skin- apart from his legs- actually showing and ignoring the sound of him almost purring at her touch on his skin.

"Sheesh, you're burning hot Oliver…I'll go get you a cloth or something to try and cool you off" when she rose to leave, Oliver's hand shot up and out from beneath his duvet and gripped her wrist, keeping her hand against his face.

"…no…just stay, you're nice and cold" it was then that she primarily realised that she was probably still cold from the freezing weather outside, "…mmmm…." before she even had time to react, Oliver's hand travelled from her wrist to her waist and tugged her down so she now laid on top of him and enabling him to curl up around her figure.

"Oliver, what are you doing?" knowing it was a rather stupid question to ask right then, it was obvious what he was doing, but she really couldn't help it.

"Mmm…my ice pack, nice and cold…" he murmured into the skin of her neck, rearranging them both so she was buried beneath the covers alongside him with his head resting on her shoulder, left arm thrown over her stomach.

Felicity felt her heart pound in her chest when his hand slipped beneath her t-shirt and splayed itself across her ribs, the sheer contrast between the temperatures of both of their skin spiking at her nerves.

"So I take it I'm sleeping over?" not helping herself any further when he burrowed all the more deeper, altering their positions, draping his leg over both of hers that peeked out at the bed's end.

"…please do…"

"Well I'm glad I came here in jeans and shirt, one of my skirts of dresses would definitely make this a little too awkward for my taste" Felicity muttered to herself, Oliver completely oblivious the amount of distance they had left between them. His head being on her shoulder caused the only amount of distance between them in that moment.

The response of his light and even breathing in her ear was enough to tell her that Oliver was out for the count and most likely didn't have any intention of awakening for some time if by the tightness he was holding her was anything to go by.

Trailing her eyes over the decoration on the ceiling of the room, Felicity glanced down at the man still using her as his own personal pillow, her once cold skin now typical body temperature as the body beside her had stolen all of the coolness. His chest rose and fell with every breath he took and she knew he was in a deep and peaceful slumber that he normally faced many troubles experiencing in his 'line of work' as Diggle usually called it.

'Alright, he should be deeply asleep right now so you can simply slip out and go to sleep on the couch, avoiding any awkward moments in the significant future when Oliver realises what happened tonight and closes himself off as usual' the voice in her mind whispered, providing an escape plan along with advice on what to do next, she didn't need to be a genius to know that Oliver will definitely close himself off to any trace of emotion after tonight, so why not just avoid making it any worse altogether- or make it any harder for her to erase this moment from her mind.

Untangling their legs from each other's, Felicity shifted herself to simply slip out from beneath his head. Abruptly the arm draped over her stomach tightened as it scrambled to grab at her shirt, stopping her from moving further away.

Turning her eyes back to his face she was instead met by a pair of red puffy eyes staring up at her as if to say that if she left, the monsters beneath the bed would return.

"….Flisste don't leave, stay…please…." his whine caught her ear, making her freeze on her spot, glancing between both the man trying to hold onto her and the door which held a more likely future of avoidance, her brain whirred away trying to choose between which path to take.

Deeply sighing, knowing she was mostly certainly going to be regretting this decision in the possible future, Felicity slumped back against the pillows, raising her arm in invitation for Oliver to return to his original position, an invitation he wasted little to no time in accepting.

"You're lucky you're going to be too sick to remember this" the words escaping her mouth before her brain caught up.

"…nuh uh…I won't forget….never could forget sleeping with you…platonically…" the voice of wording wasn't lost on her but the insinuation made her cheeks burn red.

Tangling his legs with her own once again, his hand found its way to her ribcage again, fusing the rest of his body into her side.

Watching as Oliver closed his eyes and drifted off into oblivion once again, Felicity subconsciously began to run her fingers through his hair as if providing a means of comfort even if he wasn't conscious to feel it.

Coming to terms with the knowledge that she's going to have to be putting up with staying in his bed a little longer than she had originally wanted- not that she wanted to originally be in his bed, because who wouldn't want to sleep with Oliver Queen, he's gorgeous and all with the package deal of amazing abs and a bonus of a salmon ladder, she just meant it by comforting him through his illness and all.

Moving the two of them further down the bed, Felicity leaned her head back into the overwhelming comfort of Oliver's pillows before she too closed her eyes to drift off into her own oblivion.

The feeling of Oliver's hand on her bare skin though caused some quite non-platonic activities in her brain between the two of them, which never on this Earth will be shared.

If only she knew how wrong she was on that.
