I stood upon a hill with all my men. I had a face of determination along with everyone else there. This was the moment we had all been waiting for. We have lost many wolves to this one wolf. He has caused trouble everywhere he has been. He has killed my family and friends and has almost killed me, twice! But today will be different, today we had an advantage. We knew the land which we fight upon, we had the upper paw. We will finally defeat our greatest enemy. Jordan will die along with the demon that possess him.
I looked down into a valley with wolves as many as mine if not more. All of them snarling viciously up at us. All with the same intentions as us, to kill the enemy. We all wanted to spill one another's blood, to see the other die. In front of all those wolves sitting with a smile on his face was Jordan. He looked up directly at me he didn't seem shocked to see me, but that's because he knows of Guardian. He knew I would live he just didn't know when we would meet again. Well that day was today and I was ready to rip him limb by limb and rid him from the world of the living and cast him down to the deepest parts of hell.
"Humphrey, you're a hard wolf to kill You know that." He said. "I've been told that. But no need to go into that. We all know why we are here. There will be no running away this time, one of us will not be alive by the end of this day. After this day a victor will stand and the war will be over." I shouted down to him. I got howls of excitement from my pack. I saw him chuckle,"Humphrey, there's something you must know. The war is never over, it's been going on for ever, and no one can stop it, not unless either him or I die." He said now referring to his Demond side and also Guardian. "Well then it looks like I'll have to send you back into hell." I said to him. "Or let it be you back to your parodies, Attack. Aim to kill, there will be no survivors." He yelled. And with that they charged at us. I just told my pack to hold their ground, it was all apart of the plan.
They came closer and closer. 50 yards, 35 yards, 15 yards. "Fall back." I called out. And we did just as I said. We took off in a full sprint away from them into the forrest. I heard Jordan faintly say stop in a panicked voice but it seemed I was the only one who heard it. I smiled, this was going to work. We would led then right to where we wanted them.
I made a sharp turn away from everyone else to see if my plan went the way I wanted it. I snuck away from everyone and went back to the edge of the tree line. that's where I saw the last of the wolfs from Jordan's pack coming into the forrest. I smiled , this was perfect they were far enough away from the others as not to raise suspicions. When they got to a certain distance in the forest wolves suddenly jumped down from trees at them. They didn't even see it coming, they were all killed within seconds. That was about forty five wolves killed. That now made it 150 wolves to about 100. They just got more of an upper hand. But that wasn't the end of the surprise attacks. From the hill to their destination I set up a ton if little traps. From ambushes to wolves in bushes secretly killing a random wolf. This would be perfect.
I, along with the wolves who had already done their jobs, slowly jogged behind others in front of us. Seeing one by one wolves disappearing into bushes or getting dropped on by wolves from trees. By the time we made it to the next place in my plan we had killed about twenty more wolves. Now we had all of Jordan's wolves in a field, which would be a bad thing for them. When they got their the day started to darken from the sun setting. The day was late and night would soon approach us.
All of Jordan's wolves stood in the field confused as to where everyone went. It seemed as if everyone just disappeared. Then from around them howls and barks could be heard intimidating them further. I could see the fear in their eyes, they knew that they were going to die, but I am a passionate wolf. I walked out from the forest into the sight of all the wolves. They backed up in fear at the sight of me. I looked at them, my face showing no signs of any emotion. "My fellow wolves," I started hoping I could get them to see reason. "I know why you do this. You do if because I rejected you from my pack in your time of need, or I made your pack flee from your home. And for that I am truly sorry." I told them. I could see that they were shocked by my words. I was apologizing to them even though they put me and my pack through Hell. "And for that, I give you a choice. Either you can die here today and never return to your families. Or, I can put you and your families on probation in my pack. And maybe through time you can become a member." I said to them. Again they were speechless and shocked by my words. "Now the wolves who would like to live, step forward." At first, no one stepped forward. But it only takes one to start a chain reaction. One wolf stepped forward and moved towards me. "Mike, what are you doing. Your betraying your pack." A wolf called out to this Mike person. "No this was never my pack." He snapped. "This pack shouldn't even be considered a pack. Life in it is torture, my family would have been better of as lone wolves had Jordan not said he would kill anyone who left." He shouted. "Maybe I can have a seconded chance to better myself in this pack." He said while continuing to walk towards me.
He walked over to me with his head hung low. "Mike." I said. He looked up me with eyes of misery and that to seek out a new life. "You are a brave wolf, you are welcome in my pack with open paws." I said, I then motioned for a wolf, who happened to be Garth, to come out and take him. As they were leaving I told Garth to make Mike feel like he's apart of the pack. He nodded his head and led Mike away.
After that more wolves stepped out from the group to join Mike. Id say about thirty wolves, including Mike, came over to join the pack. Now there were only about fifty wolves who had stayed loyal to Jordan. I turned around not wanting to see what was about to take place. "Kill them." I said as I walked away to go and find Jordan. They nodded and charged at them. I soon herd howls of pain but those soon faded as I walked farther away.
My next mission was to track Jordan. 'He's about a half a mile east of you. He's running fast so I would hurry and catch him.' I heard Guardian say. 'Thanks for the info.' I said taking off to the east. I had a lot of ground to cover to catch up with him. This was it, this was the final moments, this is where I would end it all and bring peace to my pack and any other pack affected by him and his wrath.
As I ran I was joined by wolves. To my left I saw David, Andy, and Smitty. And on my right was McCabe, Nikolai, and Kate. I smiled knowing that my friends and family were by my side at this crucial part of all of our life's. "Know where your going?" McCabe questioned. "Just keep running this way and we will be sure to see him soon." I told them. They nodded and we continued to run.
We ran for an hour in a full sprint with intentions on killing our worst enemy. And I could tell we were getting close, the scent was stronger and by the looks of his paw prints he was getting tired. And my hunch was correct because we soon saw a figure out in the distance and as we ran faster and faster the figure turned into the shape of a wolf and soon I could tell it was Jordan. He looked back and saw his. His face had a panicked expression on it. He knew that today one of us would die but not without a fight.
We got right next to him before I jumped in front of him and cut him off. He slid to a stop and tried to back of but only bumped into McCabe. He looked all around him and saw he was surrounded. He looked around in a panic, but then he soon calmed down. "Accepted your fate?" I asked him. "Even the stupidest of wolves know when they are defeated. But I guess I saw this coming. But I will not fall without a fight." He daughter getting in a fighting stance. "I didn't think you wouldn't." I said starting to circle him. I made it clear that I had to fight him alone much to everyones disappoint, they didn't want me to get hurt severely again. But this was my fight, I needed to do it by myself. "Looks like this is the final stand, one last battle, winner takes all." I said. "It seems that way doesn't it. But there is something you must know Humphrey. You can not kill evil, I will always be there even when I'm gone." He said. I don't know what was about what he said but I knew that he was telling the truth.
"Enough of this talk, let's get this done and over with." He said. "With pleasure." And with that he lunged at me, but you should know never to attack me first. I dipped my shoulder and grabbed him in mid air. I then did a barrel roll throwing Jordan into a tree. "That all you got." I mocked. He just got up and cracked his neck,"Not even close." He said running towards me. I ran at him as well and when we almost collided I slid to the ground as he jumped. While skidding on the ground I stuck up my paw let it cut into his chest. When he landed he clung onto his chest wincing in pain. "I though you'd put up more of a fight." he just looked at me, but something about this wasn't right. But I just ignored the feeling and charged full speed at him. He looked down waiting for the blow as if he knew he was already defeated. Which with what he did, he was. I lunged at him forcing him to fly back with me landing on his chest. "Any last words?" I asked. He smiled,"I'll be back!" He said. I just snarled and brought my mouth around his neck and clamped down on it, and with a twist I snapped his neck.
I looked down at the lifeless below me. Finally, after so long he was dead. Our worst enemy, dead by my paws. I looked back to everyone. They had smiles on their faces. I let a little smile creep up on my face. I got off the body and walked back over to everyone. "It's finally over, after so long." I said looking up at them having a smile on my face,"He's gone." "Let's go home." Kate said as we all agreed with her.
After I had killed Jordan we all went back to the pack and told them of the great news. And to say that they celebrated would have been an understatement. They seemed to celebrate all night. No one was not celebrating. This was a big thing to all of us, mostly towards me and my family. This was the best days of our life's. This was the day that our life's took a turn for greatness, at least for awhile that is because greatness can't last forever.
The day after I killed Jordan was the day we decided we would depart. Families back home would be waiting for us to return, and they would all be relived because we had a record breaking no deaths in this battle. It was amazing, the most important battle seemed to be the easiest out of all our other ones but that was because we were prepared.
It had seemed that my prediction about David and Jamie was correct because when we where about to depart they admitted their feeling towards one another. They didn't know what to do since they both lived in different packs far away from each other. But with no hesitation Mark and I both said she could come to my pack. I would love to have her there and her father wanted her to be happy and also be safe. And he knew my pack was the safest place to be. After getting permission from me and her father she happily obliged.
It had also seemed that while I was away McCabe and Nicolai had become mates with Abby and Natalia. I wasn't that surprised about that. I knew it would have happened eventually. I was happy for both of them and, unlike mine, their weddings went off without a problem. Which is good.
The traveling back to the pack took us about three days. It was pretty far from where we were so it was understandable that it took us that long. Especially with the big group that we had.
On the third day we had made it back to the pack and we were greeted with howls of celebration from the pack. They cheered for two things. One, that we had defeated our biggest enemy without a single death on our side, and two I had returned. It was great to finally be back home. I was historical with happiness.
The group of wolves that came from Jordan's pack seemed to feel like they didn't belong there. I smiled and walked over to them and have them a few words of encouragement. After I did they seemed to be fine. I told them where they could go to go and get dens and that's exactly what they did. The wolves out of that group and they're families had now become apart of the pack and very one would have to get used to it.
After a of the celebration and stuff I ran as quickly as I could back to my den. I stopped just before the entrance of the den. Kate had already gone ahead so she could prepare him for me. I took a deep breath and walked in. In the den stood Kate and below her was a tannish grayish pup with eyes that mixed blue and amber. He was beautiful. "Mommy, who is this?" He questioned. "This honey," she started. "Is your father!" She said. His eyes became wide as he looked over to me. "Da- daddy?" He asked. "Yes son, it's me." I told him with tears present in both our eyes. I then opened my arms and he came running over to me. "I missed you so much, never leave ever again." he said. I chuckled. "Don't worry pup, I won't leave you. Not ever again.
