A/N: Took a while, but I was finally able to finish the pre-FF1 Tran drama. Hope you enjoy. Golden era is coming to end... :(
Trini and NinaD: If you have made it this far in my story and have anymore questions just PM me since you're kinda behind. I loved your passionate response to their break-up, even if you weren't happy with the course the story has taken. In a nutshell their in love, and just don't give a fuck. Dom's a macho dude with some misogynistic tendencies, but that's why he loves Letty because she fights him every step of the way. He's never cheated on her or betrayed her trust. I think you're overlooking the fact that they understand and worship one another. It's pretty mutual. Letty just enjoys playing hard to get. It's part of their usual banter. He does respect her and would do anything for her, but he likes being in control and so they find themselves in a constant power struggle. Also, 'feeling some type of way' is a very common expression. I use it on the regs. Urban dictionary it if the context clues weren't enough. Lol, keep reviewing even if you hate it!
"What the fuck is Lance doing?" Letty asked the team over their walkie-talkies. They were pulling off their first heist, and Tran and his crew were playing defensive security on their Honda Fireblades. She found them rather annoying because they were not giving her the space she needed to drive properly, though it did not hamper her ability to execute the task at hand.
"Ignore them. You know the plan." Dom told her assertively. Letty could not explain why, but Dom's commanding voice would always arouse her no matter what they were doing, especially when the stakes were so high.
"Tell them to back off, we're nearing the shipment and it's getting too crowded." Leon agreed.
"Everything's clear on the scanner." Jessie informed them as they came up behind the truck. With all the new money coming in they had been able to invest in a police scanner through a local contact in the neighborhood. It proved to be useful not only for heists, but races too.
"Alright guys it's go time." Dom announced as they zoomed past the trucker to get slightly ahead of him. Vince placed his helmet on and prepared his metal spear. When he made his way up and out the sunroof, he aimed and shot it at the passenger window in hopes of avoiding any real harm to the driver. Letty and Leon flanked on their sides as Vince climbed his way up as they continued to go full speed. However unlike when they practiced their stunt days before, the driver swerved unexpectedly causing Vince to almost fly off the truck's grill.
"We gotta distract him to give V more time!" Letty yelled out.
"I'm gonna try to get him hooked up to the second harness." Jessie said climbing out of the car window. Due to the fact that Vince had not completely detached himself from Dom's Honda, Letty sped up past all of them and began driving erratically in hopes of distracting the driver. Tran's crew was beginning to get nervous and considering the small time window Johnny ordered that they shoot at the driver's door.
"What the fuck are you doing? Are you crazy?" Dom yelled at Johnny.
"You're taking too long Torreto."
"We're still in the clear! One of your bullets could have hit someone on my team, or killed the driver!"
"Hurry the fuck up then."
"You need to cool it. You're gonna blow it for everybody." Dom growled at him angrily. Vince had made his way into the truck while it's terrified driver attempted to defend himself, but he kept losing control of his eighteen-wheeler. Vince was able to pull a cloth dabbed in chloroform from out of his pocket and onto the trucker's face until he passed out. He grabbed hold of the wheel while simultaneously opening the passenger door for Jessie who had been hanging on the side of the truck after having safely hooked Vince up to his harness. They pulled over, and quickly dragged the trucker out. They laid him by the side of the road as he lay unconscious to everything that was happening around him.
"Alright, alright let's go!" Johnny persisted.
"Hold on!" Dom roared at him. Letty ran out of her Civic and placed $100 in the trucker's back pocket. "Call Mia. Tell her he's off exit six." Letty nodded in response.
"You've got to be kidding me." Johnny complained.
"No, you've got to be kidding me!" Dom countered.
"Alright we're set to go." Vince yelled from above them.
"I ain't through with you Johnny!" Dom told Tran before heading to his car. They dropped off the shipment at an empty warehouse in LA. The team unloaded the supplies together. When Dom saw Johnny hop off of his bike he found himself in mid-sprint. "I could fucking kill you for pulling that shit, Tran!" Dom barked as he pulled him by the shirt aggressively.
"Calm down Torreto." Johnny told him smoothly as Dom felt cold metal against his scalp. "We wouldn't want a tragic ending to such a thrilling night." Letty pulled out her Colt piece and aimed it at Lance.
"Now just hold the fuck up! I know you ain't pulling this shit right now because if you are you're just about to piss me the fuck off." Lance smirked, Johnny and a few of their guys laughed.
"Let relax! I got this." Dom told her without turning his head.
"Nah, 'cause you see I don't play this shit. This isn't a fucking game. Lance I'm going to give you five seconds to put down that gun."
"She has some balls on her doesn't she?" Johnny noted.
"Nah baby, I got tits. They're way more powerful than anything you motherfuckers are packing between your legs. One..." She began to count.
"What are you going to do? Kill all of us?" Lance asked ridiculingly.
"Two..." Letty continued. By this point in her countdown everyone had weapons out.
"She has pretty good aim." Dom informed them.
"Three...I think you mean perfect aim." Letty said angrily, and shot a bullet right in-between Johnny's legs.
"What the fuck?" Johnny exclaimed momentarily losing his cool.
"Papi you don't want to know what will happen if I get to five. Four..." Johnny signaled at Lance to put down his gun; which they all did, except for her. Dom turned around and head-butted Lance with so much force he fell to the ground.
"Well that wasn't very nice." Johnny said mockingly.
"This business between us," Dom motioned with his hand. "is over!"
"Are you sure about that? You're really going pass up all this money? Torreto, I know you better than that."
"Nah, you're giving us our cut, or someone will end-up dead. I promise you it won't be one of mine."
"That's a pretty big promise to make."
"Trust me Johnny. I'll deliver." Johnny looked at Dom angrily. All traces of amusement had left his face.
"Seeing as how this partnership seems to be coming to an end, maybe we should just stay away from each other for a little while."
"I stay away. You stay away." Dom confirmed taciturnly.
"Let me not catch you in Chinatown or anywhere near my sister." Letty angrily shot one round into Tran's bike. The bullet landed directly in the center of his transmission.
"Oops." She said sweetly with a small shrug.
"Did I hit a nerve?" Johnny asked provokingly before his face adopted an nefarious glare. "You need to learn to control your bitch Torreto!"
"Tran who the fuck do you think you're talking to, disrespecting my girl like that! You trying to have me fuck you up? I was trying to end this nicely. Don't make this shit personal."
"She owes me a new bike." Johnny leaned to the side to look Letty square in the eye to assert his anger once more. "You owe me a new bike."
"We'll see about that." She answered menacingly.
"Let's go." Johnny told his crew as he mounted one of their bikes, forcing two of them to share one of the others. "We'll work out the details of our new arrangement tomorrow." They took off in warped speed. Letty did not drop her gun until they were out of sight.
"Yo that was crazy dog! Tran is on some shit." Leon voiced.
"I knew he'd find a way to fuck shit up. At least we got rid of him now. We can do this on our own like we wanted to." Vince said out loud.
"Yea, but time's moving quick. We have to abandon this truck and hide the Civics." Jessie warned. Dom and Letty had not said a word. They were too busy angrily glaring at each other while having a silent conversation.
"Good idea Jess." Vince said almost nervously. "I'll dump the truck, but follow me so that you can drive me back to my Maxima."
"Yea, bro let's do that." Leon had been watching the couple quietly before Vince gave him a small shove to get him moving. They walked away to the other side of the lot and left Dom and Letty to themselves.
"Shit's about to go down, isn't it?" Leon asked Vince.
"Most definitely."
"I hate it when mommy and daddy fight." Jessie complained and they all had a quiet laugh.
"They're so fucking complicated; it's unreal."
"You got that right. They'll be alright though." Vince assured them.
"I don't know man. They look pretty pissed." Leon commented before getting into his Honda Civic. Vince gave him a knowing smile.
"What the fuck was that?" Dom roared at Letty once he looked up and saw the boys were out of earshot.
"You need to watch who you talk to like that." She responded evenly.
"What the fuck was that?" He yelled less aggressively.
"Stepping up." Letty said harshly. "No one told you to lose you're cool man."
"No one told you to start a fucking shootout."
"I didn't."
"You didn't? Are you fucking kidding me?"
"I shot two warning shots."
"You shot one warning shot, and the other was bullshit."
"He had it coming. It was an ugly bike anyway."
"Nah, you need to listen up Let. This isn't a game."
"Who's playing?"
"You need to start taking this more seriously."
"I could say the same thing to you. I at least kept my cool."
"What cool? You call breaking out a gun keeping your cool? You were reckless!"
"So were you, and Lance drew first. It's kill or be killed. You know that. "
"We had a deal. I only bought you that piece for emergencies. Everyone on our team had my back. You didn't have to do that. Don't do shit like that! You made yourself a target!"
"Don't talk to me like I'm some damsel in distress. I'm not Mia who's always depending on your protection. I kept my end of the deal. It was an emergency. No one is going to put a gun to your head and get away with it. He's lucky he still had limbs to leave here with."
"What if Johnny would have shot you, or one of his crew members for pulling that shit?"
"I would have shot Lance and died for a good cause."
"And what about me, huh?"
"You'd live, and probably go fuck some nameless slut." Letty spat back clearly still reeling from Johnny's comment about Stacy.
"Don't do that. I hate when you do that! You always act like I have no feelings for you and shit. Don't undermine that I love you. God! What the fuck is wrong with you? Don't pull this shit again." He told her menacingly.
"Then don't put yourself in that position again." She countered.
"I mean it. I'll pull you the fuck out of our next job."
"We both know that's not happening without you giving up on all the plans you got."
"Fuck the plans. I swear to God-"
"Save it." Letty cut him off. She went to open the passenger door of the last remaining Civic in the lot, but he pushed her into it's door before she could climb in.
"You think I'm playing with you?" Dom asked angrily.
"I just don't feel like listening to anymore bullshit Dominic."
"Bullshit? Bullshit!" He muttered harshly.
"Yes. That's exactly what this is. I would like to go home now and shower." She informed him coldly. "Your bark is giving me a headache. We both know you have no real bite."
"I don't bite?" Dom asked aggressively pulling her by the hair.
"Just like a Chihuahua." Letty answered her eyes piercing at his as Dom's face neared hers.
"You need to shut the fuck up." He warned seriously.
"What are you gonna do about it?" She challenged lightly slapping him across the face. Dom gripped her and placed an aggressive kiss on her lips. She wordlessly clung to him as he pulled at her clothing.
"You're so fucking stupid. Don't do that shit to me." He pleaded into their kiss. She wordlessly met him with just as much intensity as he had given her. Dom had pushed her jeans down and held her up against the car. As he made his way inside her Letty devoured his mouth with her own. She could never voice just how scared she had been to have come so close to losing the love of her life only moments before. "Promise me you won't do it again." He grunted out.
"No..." She defied though she kissed him ferociously.
"Letty promise me!" He commanded as he thrust into her with more vigor.
"No…Ungh…"
"God damn it!" He bellowed out nearing the ends of his restraints. "Why won't you do this for me?"
"Because I love you!" Letty moaned out. "I love you so much! Ung! I'd never let anyone hurt you baby."
"Fuck!" Dom exclaimed. Her words had brought him to his brink. After parting from their passionate kiss Dom was finally able to gather his breathing enough to say, "Fuck baby, I love you too."
