It was moments like this, watching Peyton lying on their hotel bed with Malaki curled into her side that made Joe forget all the stress that came with Wrestlemania, all the fans that booed him each night, all the stuff that was written about him. None of it mattered, not compared to this; his family. With the biggest night in his wrestling career only days away, he was taking every spare second he had to relax with his family.

Making his way across the hotel bedroom after his shower, Joe quickly put some shorts on before joining Peyton and Malaki on the bed.

"How long do we get with you this morning?" Peyton asked sitting up, sitting Malaki in between her legs as she stretched them out on the bed.

"I've got a bunch of media in a few hours. What've you got planned for the day?"

"Do a little shopping and then Roddy and Michelle arrive this afternoon."

"Let me guess, more shoes?"

"You know me so well," Peyton smiled. "I saw this gorgeous pair the other day."

"Tip for the future, Mali. Never get in between a woman and her shoes, especially if it's 5inch heels like your mom likes wearing."

"Aww you have learnt something. Clever daddy."

"Dada."

Peyton and Joe instantly stared at each other and then down at Malaki. "Oh my god, did he just?"

"He just said 'dada'"

"Can you say it again, say dada?" Joe beamed, picking his son up. "Say dada."

Peyton moved to the other end of the bed with Joe, both of them now smiling at their son. "Say dada." But the little boy just smiled at them drawling.

Both parents were still beaming though, Peyton turning to Joe with tears in her eyes. "I can't believe he actually just said his first word."

"You're such a clever little boy." Joe kissed Malaki's cheek before kissing Peyton's. The couple spending the next hour trying to get Malaki to say dada again. As well as Peyton seeing if he would say mama.

"Hi Joe," Stephanie smiled, but Peyton noticed the older woman's smile seemed a little off. "Paul and I wanted to speak to you about tonight."

"Sure." Joe looked at his parents and Peyton before going off with Stephanie and Paul.

"Your match with Brock tonight, there's going to be a different ending."

Joe's face fell, he knew what this meant. "He's retaining the title."

"No Brock won't be retaining tonight," Paul started.

"So I'm still winning the title? What's changing at the end then?"

"We know you've been working really hard and been under a lot of pressure since you returned, but neither you nor Brock will be walking out as Champion tonight. Vince wants something different, something new for people to talk about, he wants Colby to cash in the Money in the Bank contract tonight."

"C-Colby's going to be the new champion? Have you spoken to him yet?"

"We wanted to speak to you first, Joe. Then you, Brock and Colby can discuss the end of the match."

Joe was too shocked, too frustrated to say anything else. After Stephanie and Paul left, he tightly gripped the ends of one of the production crates he was standing by.

Peyton placed a hand tentatively on Joe's forearm as he gripped the edge of one of the production crates, his head down as he took deep breaths. She hated seeing him like this. She wished she could take away all his frustration and anger and hurt away. Joe didn't react to Peyton's touch, his eyes still on the crate, his breathing still heavy.

"Hey, it's going to be okay," Peyton said softly. "I know that it sucks and you're frustrated, everything you've done leading up to tonight match. But it's going to be okay. There'll be more chances in the future.

Now Joe looked at her, moving his arm away from her touch. But he still remained quiet. He knew she was right, everything she was saying, but it didn't make him any less frustrated.

"Don't push me away Joe, please."

"I should go find Brock and Colby, go through tonight again." Joe said as he started to walk away.

Peyton wasn't about to let go Joe walk away, not yet. She knew he was hurting, she wasn't about to let his bad mood deter her. She loved him and she was going to support him, no matter what. Just like he had always supported her. Moving quickly, Peyton stood in front of Joe, effectively stopping him. Before he had chance to say or do anything though, Peyton was leaning up, gripping his shoulders as she captured his lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her body into his as they kissed in the corridor.

"I love you. Malaki and I love you no matter what, champion or not. Nothing is going to change between us because you're not winning tonight, I'm not with you based on your status in this company. You're allowed to be frustrated with creative decisions, with last minute changes but don't take them out on the people that love and support you."

Joe cupped Peyton's head, leaning down so their foreheads were together. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to take it out on you." Joe wrapped his arms around Peyton, holding her close to him. "Everything I've worked for since I came back, it was all leading up to tonight…and then two hours before the show they change their just like that. And Colby, he's my friend and I'm happy for him but at the same time I'm so annoyed and envious. This was supposed to be my night, with all my family-"

"It still is your night babe. Okay, you're not winning anymore and that really sucks but you're still in the main event and I know you're going to put on one hell of a show and all your family is going to be cheering you on. You could be on the pre-show and we'd still all be here cheering you on. Right now it might not seem it, but this has been a really darn great week. Our first Wrestlemania as a family, you main eventing but even more important than that. Two days ago our baby said his first word and that's something we're both never going to forget. That's what's important and what we should take from this week."

"Well damn, you give some good motivational speeches. You're right though, Mali's first word is the best thing to happen this week." Joe smiled down at Peyton, feeling better about things now he had been reminded what was important. Knowing he wasn't winning anymore still hurt, but he had just been reminded how much he still had to be thankful for. "I'm lucky to have you…especially when you kiss me down empty corridors as a way of making me listen to you," he grinned down at her, rubbing his hands up and down her back.

"I have my ways."

"We should explore these ways some more." Joe pressed his lips to Peyton's neck, Peyton tilting her head to the side, exposing her neck more for Joe, whose hands were now on her hips. Before she knew it, Joe had lifted her onto the crate so they were more level. "Much better," he smirked before crashing his lips down on Peyton's as he stood in between her legs.

Peyton ran her fingers through Joe's loose hair, biting down on his bottom lip. One of Joe's hands cupped Peyton's head as they made out, his other hand slowly making his way up her thigh, pushing the material of her nude Elena embellished polka dot bodycon dress further up her thigh.

"Yo guys, before you two start making baby number 2, your dad's been looking for you." Jey Uso informed the couple, grinning at the pair.

"You've always had such great timing," Joe replied sarcastically.

"Better me than the Total Divas cameras, they're not that far away. I'm sure the fans would love to see you and your baby momma."

"I'm sure we'd break the internet." Joe helped Peyton down from the crate, one of his hands resting on the bottom of her back as they continued talking to his cousin.

"And some hearts," Peyton added. "Right, you better go find your dad. I'll see you later babe."

"Where are you going?"

"I wanted to talk to AJ, Nick told me last night about her leaving. I'll see you soon," Peyton kissed Joe's cheek before leaving.

"Hey," Peyton smiled as AJ sat having her make-up done for the show. "I hope you weren't planning on leaving without saying bye to me, because you know I'd track you down," Peyton winked.

"Leave without saying bye to the woman that came up with some of the best storylines that really made my career, and is now apparently Liam Neeson."

"Made my career here too. And watching you mount Kane will always be one of my fondest memories of this company."

"Along with the memories of being on the road with that Samoan god of yours, and the rest of the Shield. Like that's every fangirls dream," AJ winked while the make-up artist finished up working on her.

"While I have some amazing memories from travelling with the Shield, you mounting Kane is still like top three. Always will be. So what are you going to do now?"

"Sleep," AJ chuckled. "Properly spend time with Phil. I have some other plans but they're my main two for now. I'll always love wrestling, but I can't do it here anymore. Some people just make it too hard and I'm just not happy here anymore."

"I understand that. You've dealt with a lot here the last year. People are assholes. You've gotta do what's best for you. Don't be a stranger though."

With her make-up now compete, AJ stood up from her seat and hugged Peyton. "Like I could stay away forever from that handsome little guy of yours."

"And here it was thinking it would be me you missed," Peyton mock joked.

"I will, but you make really cute babies that I want to kidnap."

"Living up to your crazy persona," Peyton winked. "I should get back to Mali, you want to come see him?"

"Like you need to ask," AJ beamed.

While Peyton thought she was bad, at times, watching some of the matches when they involved people she cared about, she was nowhere near as bad as Patricia. Watching Jon in the ladder match for the Intercontinental championship with Nick, Barrett, Daniel Bryan, R-Truth, Luke Harper and Stardust, Patricia was straight up covering her eyes at points when any of the men in the match collided with a ladder. Watching the show backstage with Joe, Patricia, Sika, Roddy and Michelle; Peyton and Joe couldn't help but chuckle at some of Patricia's reactions. While Joe's sisters, brother and the Uso's dad, Rikishi watched the show ringside, Peyton stayed backstage with the others. Peyton was happy to bring Malaki to some of the events, including the biggest PPV of the year, but she didn't think it was a good idea for Malaki to actually be ringside at such a young age with how loud the events got and knowing he would soon be asleep.

"Look Mali, it's uncle Nick and Jon on the monitor. Yeah, shall we clap for them?" With Malaki in her lap, the baby excitedly smiling at the mention of Jon and Nick as Joe and Peyton pointing to them on the monitor, Peyton took his small hands in hers, gently clapping her son's hands together which excited the little boy further, even if he didn't understand what was going on.

"I think nanny needs some hugs right now," Joe added watching Patricia cover her eyes again. "Or maybe a game of peekaboo, you're covering your eyes enough," Joe grinned at his mom.

"Don't think I won't beat your ass myself before your match with Brock," Patricia was quick to reply.

Peyton stifled a laugh. "Yeah, you going to go to nanny for a bit?" Peyton spoke to Malaki as she passed her son over to Patricia who was more than happy to take her grandson for a bit.

With Malaki asleep in his car seat next to her chair, Peyton winced a few times watching the match, from Brock splitting his head open early on to watching Joe being suplexed several time. While Patricia had resorted to covering her eyes. When Brock F5'd Joe again but was unable to follow up on it, leaving both men laying on the mat in the ring, Peyton knew this was it. She knew Colby was about to run out and cash in his Money In the Bank contract and win the WWE Word Heavyweight championship.

As the main event match came to its unexpected outcome, a lot of the crowd not expecting Seth to leave as the WWE World Heavyweight champion, Peyton started to get up from her seat knowing Joe would need her when he got backstage. She knew Patricia and Roddy would be behind her with Malaki.

As soon as Joe got through the curtain, Peyton was there wrapping her arm around his torso, holding him as close to her as she could. She didn't care about how sweaty he was, none of that mattered. Joe clung to Peyton, the couple remaining silent for a moment.

Peyton finally tilted her head back to look up at Joe, placing a hand on his face, she stroked his sweaty cheek. "I'm so proud of you, you were amazing out there."

Joe just held her tighter, needing her support at that moment.

Poor Joe :( Next chapter is a much nicer one for everyone involved...Joe finally wifes Peyton up lol

Only a few more chapters of this story left :( It's kinda become my baby but everything has to end eventually. Maybe there'll be a sequel in the future, if I get any ideas that. Would you guys be up for a sequel?
