(The Wannabe in the Weeds)

Thank you for reviewing my story. It lets me know you're still interested.

This story is being told from Booth's point of view.

I don't own Bones.

Oooooooooooooooooooo

I was shot. It's not like this is the first time this has ever happened to me; but, still, I was shot. I was in the hospital for four days before Cullen had me taken out to a safe house in Hampton. I didn't really want to do it; but, he talked me into it. He really wants to get his hands on Paul Stamos and it looks like my funeral is the only way that's going to happen. The guys a terrorist and he's responsible for the deaths of a lot of American and British soldiers. I tried to kill him once; but, luck was on his side and he got away. He'd threatened to kill me; but, he never came back to the states and so he was out of my reach. Cullen thought he might be vindictive enough to want to see my dead body.

I don't think this is making sense so maybe I better start at the beginning.

A maintenance worker was mowing the grass on the side of a county road when he found a body. He ran over it with his mowing machine. As soon as he'd heard the mower hit something, he'd stopped it and looked to see what he'd hit. As soon as he saw the body he'd called the Sheriff's Office and they called me. The body was chopped up and a real mess. They decided to let my people deal with it.

When I got there I found out that the weeds were really bad and something kept making me sneeze. I guess it's a good thing I live in an apartment. I don't have to cut grass. Bones said she couldn't figure out how I could be a sniper and have grass allergies. I had to remind her that most of my Army career was in the deserts of the world. I was in Kosovo; but, that was in the fall and the winter. I wasn't there in the spring. Probably a good thing too.

The body was a male and Bones said every bone in his body was broken. The body had been there for at least a week. Cam wasn't sure if it was a body dump or not. The body was in really bad shape. Of course, being run over by a mower didn't help. I asked the driver of the mower if he'd seen the body before he hit it; but, he said the grass was eight feet tall. I told him he had to be mowing pretty fast and he admitted that he had been. He said he had internet date. I've seen how those have worked out for Bones, so, I can't imagine that guy was going to be any luckier.

While I was talking to the driver, Bones asked the driver if he'd seen the head. I guess it wasn't attached to the body. Since it was in pretty bad shape I hadn't really taken a close look. Cam said she'd found brains; so, the guys head had to be around somewhere. Bones used her flashlight and looked under the mower and found it. That was pretty nasty. I mean while we were looking at the head one his eyeballs fell out. I'm glad I hadn't eaten dinner yet.

I had the body sent to the Jeffersonian. The squints found out our victim was named Tommy Sour. I thought my name was weird.

The victim had been reported missing two weeks ago. We went out to Tommy Sour's place. He lived in a duplex. We found his neighbor, Adam Matthews home. The guy was an artist and he worked at home. He did sculptures. They weren't very good as far as I could tell. Matthews said that he'd reported Tommy missing when he noticed that Tommy's alarm clock kept going off. He tried to get the cops to turn off the alarm; but, they didn't. He said it was really annoying and I agreed with him.

I let Matthews know that Tommy was dead. I asked him if he'd noticed anything odd about Tommy's behavior; but, Matthews said he didn't really know Tommy. The only reason he'd reported Tommy missing was because Tommy's mail was piling up and the alarm clock alarm was driving him crazy. I asked him if he'd seen strange faces hanging around and he mentioned a woman named Fat Pam. Bones didn't like him calling the woman Fat Pam; but, Matthews said that's what Tommy called her. Tommy worked at Valera Wellness Gym and he was her personal trainer. Cam had told me that she thought the victim worked out and I guess this proved her right.

Matthews said that Tommy wasn't a nice guy.

Matthews said that Pam started following Tommy around, waiting outside for him to come home, stuff like that. He said that about a month ago, Pam showed up in the middle of the night, banging on Tommy's door. I asked if Pam was angry; but, Matthews said that Pam was wearing a teddy and heels; so she definitely wasn't angry.

I kind of asked if Tommy and Pam were getting it on by using gestures. I don't like to just come out and say stuff like that in front of Bones. I don't know why I bother though. She came right out and asked Matthews if Pam and Tommy had sexual intercourse. Subtlety Is not one of Bones' things. Matthews didn't think they were.

He wanted me to go next door to turn off the alarm; but, I didn't have a key to Tommy's place and I didn't feel like breaking the door down.

Bones and me went over to Valera Wellness Gym to see if we could get any more info on Tommy. While we were driving over there, Bones started fussing about how vain a lot of people are. She really hated Matthews calling Pam, Fat Pam. Bones believes in exercise; but she hates it when people go overboard and try to change how they look. When we got there I pointed out to her that the people there looked like they were just trying to get healthy.

There was a beautiful woman working out on one of the machines and I kind of stared at her. Bones accused me of ogling her; but, I wasn't doing that. Well, I was doing that; but, so what. I told Bones I was just admiring the woman's work routine; but, I don't think Bones believed me. I don't really see anything wrong with looking. It's not like I asked her for a date or something. I was working. I know where the line is. The woman was pretty though.

The manager of the gym, Jason Berman noticed us and introduced himself. I told him we were there because of Tommy Sour. I let him know that Tommy was dead. Jason said that he'd been trying to call Tommy; but, Tommy hadn't returned any of his calls. Tommy being dead explained why. He didn't seem to be upset about Tommy being dead and I mentioned that to him. Jason said that Tommy was his most popular trainer and he'd been dealing with a lot of angry clients since Tommy disappeared. He said since I was FBI he was assuming that Tommy had been murdered. I didn't confirm or deny it.

I asked Jason if he knew a woman named Pam; but, the name didn't ring a bell. Of course, when I said Fat Pam, it did. He said her name was Pam Nunan. Jason said that she booked two hour sessions and paid in cash. He called her the perfect client. You'd think he wouldn't call his perfect client Fat; but, what do I know. Jason said that Pam fell in love with Tommy and Tommy freaked out about it. I guess Pam would rub against him and she even invited him on a cruise. Jason gave me Pam's address.

That woman I'd been looking at earlier caught my attention again and Bones didn't like it. Hey, I have eyes and I'm going to use them. I'm not dead. It's not like I'm dating Bones; so, I don't know why she was giving me grief about it.

I called Pam Nunan and asked her to come in for an interview. I told her it was about Tommy and she brought a photo album full of pictures of Tommy. I noticed that the pictures were taken from a distance and Pam said it was because he was shy.

Bones asked her if Tommy was her personal trainer and Pam said he was more than that. Pam said Tommy was a real sweetheart. Bones wanted to know if Tommy shared his affection and Pam kind of attacked Bones. I guess Pam thought Bones didn't think Tommy could be interested in her because of how she looked so she called Bones a scarecrow. Bones didn't like that at all. Bones knows she's beautiful; but, I guess she worries about her looks like we all do and she asked me if I thought she looked like a scarecrow. I ignored Bones and I told Pam she looked good to me. I didn't want her to think that Bones was being mean to her when she wasn't. Pam was a little overweight; but, I didn't think she looked bad. I guess that reassured Pam and she thanked me. Then Pam called Bones scrawny. Bones shouldn't have let Pam get to her like that. I mean Bones really is beautiful and if someone says that she isn't their lying, Bones should know that without me having to tell her that.

I asked them if we could just talk about Tommy. Pam said that Tommy had asked her to marry her. Pam said that whatever we thought he'd done, he didn't do it. Bones said we were more worried about what Pam had done. I let Pam know that Tommy was dead. She didn't cry which I found kind of odd.

I moved her into an interrogation room and asked Sweets to come down to observe. I'm using him as a profiler and I wanted to get his insight into what he thought about Pam. The kid knows his stuff.

Bones and Sweets watched Pam in the observation room. Bones later told me that she saw Pam eating a snack and Sweets said that Pam had body issues. Bones said she told Sweets that it was an interesting observation; but, Sweets called her on it and said that Bones was just pretending to be interested. Bones told me that he was correct. They had kind of a disagreement and Bones insisted that Sweets observe Pam and not her. They really don't get along too well.

I kept Pam waiting for about an hour. If you make a suspect wait you can usually make them nervous or impatient. That can put them off their guard.

I noticed that Pam's snack was sorted on a napkin; so, I mentioned it. She said she'd got bored. I told Pam that I believed that she loved Tommy; but, I didn't think Tommy loved her back. I told her that I thought she'd been stalking Tommy and he'd been avoiding her.

Pam asked me if Tommy didn't love her then why did he give her a Christmas present. She showed me a bracelet with the word Pam centered in it. I asked her what she'd given him before he gave her the bracelet. She told me that she'd given him a thousand dollar gift certificate to the Music Center. That seemed pretty generous to me and I said so.

Pam told me that Tommy had a beautiful voice and he wanted to be a professional singer. She said she wanted to support him. She told me Tommy was hers. She then asked me when Tommy had been found. I told her last night and that he'd been dead for two weeks. She told me she'd been in Florida for the last month and she'd got back two days ago. She'd been planning her wedding with her parents. I asked her to write down her parent's number so I could confirm her story. She finally cried and asked me who was going to love her now that Tommy was dead. I felt sorry for her and I patted her shoulder. I shouldn't have; but, I did.

I went back to my office and called her parents and they confirmed Pam's story. Sweets and Bones came back to my office to talk to me about Pam. Sweets said that he thought that Pam was dangerous. I agreed with him. Of course, I really didn't. I was just yanking his chain. She bought presents for him and took pictures of him which didn't exactly make her dangerous. It was stalkerish; but, still she didn't kill him. She was just obsessed and I guess Tommy was her fiancé. There wasn't anything to prove that she was lying about him and her. Sweets wanted me to be careful around her. He thought she was unstable.

Cam had done a toxicology test on Tommy and found out that he'd been smoking marijuana before he died and he had a case of E. Coli. His srain of E. Coli had been traced to the Checker Box in Alexandria, Virginia. I guess he'd eaten some raw honey and it made him sick.

I drove over to the Checker Box that evening to see if anyone remembered Tommy being there. It's an Improv place. Bones agreed to meet me there after she took care of some stuff at the Lab. I thought she'd never get there. I heard so many show tunes I wanted to throw up. I told Bones that I thought I'd start shooting; but, she just ignored me. She thought the guy signing when she came in was a good singer. I didn't.

Before she got there, I talked to some of the people there and they told me that Mon. and Tues. were Open Mic Night. While I was talking to Bones someone sitting nearby asked me to keep it down. They thought they were hearing good music. I thought they were full of it. Bones didn't know what Open Mic Night was so I had to explain it to her. I guess she doesn't go to clubs very much. Bones told me that the E. Coli tests proved that Tommy had been at the Checker Box just before he died.

Some new guy was singing on stage and Bones told me she thought he was good. Her taste in music can be off. I should know. I've seen her CD collection. Some guy was annoyed at Bones and me for talking and threatened to get the manager. I showed him my badge and told him to point the manager out to me. I needed to talk to him anyway.

We talked to the manager about Tommy. I told him that we believed Tommy was murdered. Bones wanted to know if Jerry Lincoln was a friend of Tommy's. He didn't say he was. He did say that Tommy was good for business and that Tommy showed up for every Open Mic. Lincoln said since he hadn't seen Tommy in a while he had thought that Tommy might have got a paying gig. I asked if there was anything different about Tommy's final appearance and the manager said no. Lincoln said that everyone loved Tommy. I mentioned Kelly Clarkson; but, that just confused Bones. She didn't know who Clarkson was. I forget that Bones doesn't watch TV like normal people. The only reason she has a TV now is because I bugged her into buying one. We use it to watch old movies some time.

I asked Lincoln if Tommy had any enemies and he said that he did. The guy that was singing while I was talking to Lincoln didn't get along with Tommy. He told me that a talent scout was at the Checker Box the night that Tommy was there and that Tommy stole Chris's song. I guess Chris Calabasa didn't take that too well and he ended up signing Piano man. You know that had to piss off Chris. Lincoln said that Chris and Tommy got into a shoving match and he made them go outside. He said that was the last time he'd seen Tommy.

When Chris finished singing, Bones and me talked to him. He told us that Tommy was a jerk and he'd bring in some of the people he trained from the gym to cheer for him. He said then they'd talk when anyone else tried to sing. Bones started to talk squinty and I had to cut her off. She was just confusing Chris. I asked him if he thought Tommy was any good. He didn't really answer the question. He did say that Tommy had someone tape his performance and then posted it on MySpace. I told him I knew about the argument he'd had with Tommy. He said Tommy had stole his song that he'd been saving for Scout Night. I asked him if it made him angry and he said he didn't kill Tommy. He said they went outside, he vented and then Tommy took off. Chris said he then came back inside and introduced himself to the talent scout there that night. He pointed out that the Talent Scout was back again.

I asked Bones to stay back and I went to the back of the restaurant to talk to the talent scout. I asked the guy what label he was with and he told me he was an independent. I asked him why he was sitting in the back. I know most scouts sit up front so they don't miss anything. He asked me why I cared. I distracted him and asked him what he was drinking. The idiot looked at his drink and I grabbed his notebook. The notebook was full of doodles. It was bullshit. Mitch, the so called talent scout wasn't who he said he was. The manager showed up and I asked him and Mitch to step outside to talk to me. Bones came outside with us.

I asked Mitch why he was impersonating a talent scout. He tried to pretend he didn't know what I was talking about and I threatened to arrest him for fraud. That got his attention. He panicked and looked at Lincoln. I told him I was onto his scam. Let people think a talent scout was there, more singers, more booze is sold, more money for him. Seemed like fraud to me.

I told Lincoln that Tommy figured out what was going on and confronted him. Lincoln panicked at little and denied that Tommy or anyone else knew that Mitch was a plant. I told them if they pulled that scam again, I'd arrest them for conspiracy, fraud and misrepresentation. They got it. I told them to not leave town because they were murder suspects. I didn't really think they had anything to do with Tommy's death; but, I really didn't like them. They were using people and I didn't like that one bit.

Bones and I drove back to DC and went to the Diner for something to eat. I told her that I thought it was pretty obnoxious that those wanna be stars weren't even young. Half of them were over 30. They didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of being a star as far as I was concerned.

Bones said that standing out in a crowd was innate. She brought up how I was the best sniper in the Army; but, I didn't see her point. That was my job. Those guys looking for stardom couldn't be compared to the important job I had. She should have been able to see that. She just said that whoever is the best has the status and the power. You know for someone who hates psychology, she sure uses it a lot. She kind of surprised me when she said I have power and prestige because I'm a superb agent. She doesn't compliment me very often so when she does it kind of sticks in my mind. Of course, she had to ruin it by saying that since she's the best in her field she needs to work with the best. I told her that sometimes I think she thinks she's better than me. I started to think I should have kept my mouth shut; but, she told me that she is more intelligent in certain areas and she admired my expertise. Wow, two compliments in one day. That was a first. I was flattered so I told her that I admire her expertise. She has that whole science thing going for her and she really is a genius. Of course, she didn't stop there. She had to bring up that she's a bestselling author, like I don't know that. She said that gave her elevated status. God, you know I really like Bones; but, sometimes she can be very egotistical. She said right or wrong, society gives her the elevated status. She said society should elevate scholars and teachers. I thought that was fine; but, I wanted to know if she thought cops should be elevated too. She said they're important.

While I was talking to Bones, Pam Nunan called me on my cell. I asked her how she got my cell number and she told me that dispatch patched her through. She'd told them she was my mother. That worried me. I plan to talk to my office and dispatch about that.

Anyways, she said she wanted to meet me. I told her Bones and me could meet her; but, she said she wanted to meet me alone in my office. I don't know why flags didn't wave for me on this. I don't know what I was thinking, maybe I wasn't, I don't know. Maybe I'd put her in the safe category and thought she was harmless. I should know better.

Bones wanted to know why I was meeting Pam alone and I told her it was probably because she made Pam uncomfortable. I told her it was probably because Bones is a well adjusted woman. Of course, she had to mention that she was a bestselling author again. I think she obsesses about that sometimes or maybe she wants to remind me how successful she is. I'm not sure; but, it gets old after awhile.

I met Pam in my office and it didn't go like I expected it to go. She was fixated on the stuff in my office and she wanted to know if I was dating Bones. I don't know why I answered her questions. I mean I guess I was being polite and all I can say was my bat radar was broken. She saw a picture of Parker and wanted to know if I was married. She was making me uncomfortable; but, not uncomfortable enough I guess. Then she gave me socks. I really tried to steer the conversation towards Tommy Sours; but, all she had to say was she was confident I'd find the killer and that Tommy wouldn't expect her to grieve forever. Then she kind of came on to me. I told her it was inappropriate; but, she just ignored what I said and left. I should have been worried about her; but, I guess I just put her down as flighty or maybe pathetic. I really don't know what I was thinking. I guess even though she was acting weird I thought of her as harmless.

Bones had gone back to the Lab and I decided to go over there and see if they had any more clues for me. When I got there, Bones and Sweets were watching a video of Tommy on her computer. Sweets had found the video on Tommy's MySpace page. I thought Tommy sounded ok; but, he seemed to be trying too hard to me and I mentioned it. Sweets said something squinty and I interpreted it to mean that Tommy was showing off. I don't know why Sweets can't use plain English. Sweets said Tommy was like a one hit wonder. Sweets and Bones started arguing about psychological stuff so I put a chair between them to separate them. They're like kids sometimes and they really don't get along. I told them they were giving me a headache.

Bones wanted to know how my interview with Pam went. I was trying to figure out how to answer that when Sweets butted in and acted surprised that I'd seen her again. I told them that she gave me a pair of socks and Bones thought it was funny. I told her it wasn't funny and Sweets agreed with me. Sweets told me that Pam was manipulating me and I said I was going to mail the socks back.

Bones noticed an announcement on Tommy's MySpace page that he was getting ready to release a CD.

Bones told us that up until she was 13 she wanted to be the next Cindy Lauper. She said her mother said she sang just as well as Cindy Lauper. Sweets just told her that mothers do that; but, Bones wasn't buying. She said it wasn't flattery. Sweets thought it was funny. I just thought that was downright cute. I told her to go ahead and sing; but, she refused to do it. She said she had to have music and the right atmosphere. She said she needed frivolity. I called her a Diva.

Sweets glanced at Tommy's video and noticed that Tommy was singing to a woman in the video. He then pointed out the guy sitting next to the woman and said he looked angry. Bones mentioned the guy played a guitar and that gave her an idea as to how Tommy died.

Bones set up an experiment at the Lab and had me, the squints and Sweets there to show us how she thought Tommy died. She used a block of cheese and cut it with a guitar string. She said that the string could definitely be the murder weapon. I had a funny thought and really couldn't let it go. I had to say it. I said "Because it cut the cheese". She didn't get it; but, I thought it was funny. Sweets thought it was funny too. Bones wasn't amused. Oh well.

Bones set up a re-enactment using Hodgins as the guitar player and Zach as Tommy. They're always using Zach as the victim. I don't think he likes it that much. They had Hodgins attack Zach from behind using a rope. I pointed out that Tommy was a big guy; but, Cam said nothing shows that Tommy fought back. I thought about it for a second and reminded them that Tommy was high when he died. Being toasted would have dulled his reflexes.

I had the guitar player, Dax brought in for questioning. I told him that Tommy was strangled and that I knew he didn't like Tommy singing to his girl. He told me his girl was in Texas. I showed him a picture showing the anger on his face while Tommy was singing to the girl. Dax said that Helen performed with him and that she was married to someone else. I asked him why he was angry then and he told me he'd introduced Tommy to his personal trainer, Jason Bergman, the guy who ran the Velera Wellness Gym. Dax said that Tommy and Jason got a loan to open up their own place and when they got the loan, Tommy stole the money. $50,000. Tommy used the money to produce his own CD. I called the bank that gave them the loan and found out that Jason was on the hook for the full amount of the loan.

Bones and me went over to the gym to talk to Jason; but, he wasn't there. Some guy told us that he hadn't come into work and no one knew where he was. I put a BOLO out for Jason, wanted for first degree murder.

The State Police found Jason and I arranged to have him brought back to D.C. When he got there, Bones and me interrogated him. Jason told us that he'd decided to quit his job and move. Bones told him that we knew about the business loan. Jason pointed out that with Tommy dead he was responsible for the whole loan so he wouldn't have had a reason to kill him. He told us that he thought he could escape the loan by going off the grid. He didn't have any family so he thought that would work out. I told him that I thought he'd snapped and killed Tommy because he ruined it for him; so, he'd ruin it for Tommy. Bones asked Jason if he used wire at his gym or in his chiropractic practice; but, the guy asked for a lawyer.

Hodgins decided to barge into my interrogation room with some news. I really didn't like that. He had no right to do that and I let him know that. He just ignored me and told Bones he had found some evidence and he knew Bones wanted it ASAP. I had to ask what it was because, God forbid he should use the non-scientific name. Jason told me it was clay. Jason said he had nothing to do with clay. Hodgins butted into my business and said that Jason was going to be cleared. That just pissed me off. He was in my interrogation room, just taking over. The interrogation room belongs to me, not the squints. Hodgins just ignored me. He told Bones that some clay matching the clay he'd found had been delivered to the duplex that Tommy lived in. The guy that lived next door to Tommy was an artist.

I got a warrant for Adam Matthew's apartment. Matthews told me that he'd reported Tommy missing so why would he kill him. I told him to cover his ass. Bones found some wire and tested it for blood. The guy was acting innocent to the end by telling us that we could see there wasn't any blood on it. Bones swabbed the wire and found blood. I arrested Matthews for murder and then he just blurts out he didn't mean to kill Tommy. He said that the walls were thin and that Tommy was very noisy. He'd sing at the top of his lungs day and night. Bones wanted to know if that gave him the right to strangle Tommy into silence. Matthews said he'd just meant to scare Tommy. He said Tommy was bigger than him; so, he didn't think he could kill him. I let Matthews know that Tommy was stoned and couldn't fight back. He said Tommy was taking the trash out, singing at the top of his lungs and he'd just thought he'd scare him with the wire. He said he pulled the wire and Tommy fell down dead and then there was finally quiet. Unbelievable.

I decided to give a Bones a gift. I arranged for Bones to sing at the Checker Box with a pianist. I didn't tell her that though because I knew she wouldn't meet me there if I told her why we were going to meet at the Checker Box. She said she could sing as good as Cindy Lauper and I wanted to hear if she really could.

I got Angie, Hodgins, Sweets and Cam to meet me there; so, Bones would have some friendly faces to sing to besides mine. When she got there, Bones wanted to know what was going on and why we were there. I told her that she had a live audience to sing to, that I had the music and the frivolity that she had told me she needed in order to sing; but, she tried to balk. The pianist started playing "Girls Want To Have Fun" and everyone started trying to encourage Bones to get up on the stage to sing. Sweets managed to talk her into singing so she went up on stage to sing. I could see that she was getting into it and had a happy look on her face. She pulled her jacket off, threw it down and started to sing.

She really can sing. She's really good too. Her mother hadn't lied. I thought I'd play around and I took my lighter out of my pocket and lit it. I kind of waved it around like they do at concerts and everyone seemed to think it was funny.

Bones was really singing well and we were having a good time when I heard a voice yell out my name in the back of the room. I was shocked. Pam Nunan was standing there with a gun in her hand. She had it pointed at Bones. I tried to pull my gun to get a shot at her; but, I couldn't get my gun out fast enough. I guess I stepped into the path of the bullet Pam fired. I don't know if that was an accident or on purpose; but, it didn't matter. I was shot instead of Bones. That's what's important. Bones didn't get hurt. Thank God.

When Pam shot me, I fell down. My legs couldn't hold me up. Bones jumped off the stage and later I found out that Pam tried to shoot her and Bones grabbed my gun and killed Pam. I don't really remember a lot after being shot. The look on Bones' face made me really afraid. I thought I might be dying. I could see Bones holding her hands against my chest and she was saying something; but, I couldn't feel her hands and I didn't understand what she said. I just passed out after awhile.

Cullen said that I'd lost a lot of blood by the time I got to the hospital. They got me into surgery right away; but, I had to have blood transfusions. When Cullen had heard that I'd been shot he rushed to the hospital and took over. He told the surgeon to say I was dead. He has this plan in his head to capture Paul Stamos and I'm the bait. When I woke up, he told me that the announcement of my death had already been made. I didn't want to go along with it; but, he said since everyone thought I was dead anyways it wouldn't matter if they had to wait a few days to find out that it wasn't true. I panicked and told him that there was no way they could tell Pops and Parker that I was dead. I wouldn't allow that to happen. Cullen told me to make out a list and they'd call those people to make sure that they knew it was a trick. I had to keep the list short; but, that was ok with me. I told Cullen that he had to tell Pops, Parker, Rebecca, Caroline and Bones that I was alive. That's a pretty short list.

As soon as I was stable, they moved me to a safe house in Hampton. They won't let me call anyone which I think is bullshit. Pops and Bones are going to yell at me for sure for going along with this. I'll just make sure they understand that it's part of my job.

I told Cullen that there is no way that I want Pops or Parker at the fake funeral Cullen has planned. He agrees. I told him that Bones probably won't come to the funeral either. She doesn't like stuff like that and a fake funeral would just bore her to tears. When I see her, she'll probably bore me with details about the shooting and the hospital; but, that's ok. I just don't want her to be mad at me because I let Cullen talk me into this. She doesn't really like Cullen anyways. I'll be glad when this over. I can't believe they won't at least let me talk to Bones. She's my partner. She knows how to keep a secret. I can just hear her now. She is so going to be so mad at me for not calling her. She likes to know where I am. Yeah, she is definitely going to be mad at me.

Ooooooooooo

CBH – Poor Dad, I really hate to read about him getting hurt. I bet Mom was frantic until Dad came out of surgery. They both fall apart when either one of them are sick or get hurt.

It must have been really boring hanging around the safe house and not being able to talk to his family. I bet Mom was angry for not being able to talk to Dad. Dad is right. Mom likes to know where he is. Of course, Dad likes to know where Mom is all of the time; so, I guess they're even.
