I hope everyone had a happy holiday! I've been writing like crazy getting new ideas for different stories. My ideas for this story have already been made into a list. I'll have to see what fits into the story line though. Have a good one.
Beth POV
Thanksgiving was awesome. There was pie, turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, salad, pasta salad, pie, cookies, soda, Hors d'oeuvre , and pie รก la mode. Pie is awesome, it's amazing, it's one of the only reasons I love Thanksgiving if not the only reason. I mean there's Pumpkin everything, Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Cake, Pumpkin Bread, Starbucks even has a Pumpkin Spiced Latte and Frappuccino. Then there's Apple Pie, Berry Pie, Mud Pie, and my favorite Marion Berry Pie. So much pie, you have to love Thanksgiving. Then after Thanksgiving you get awesome lefts over's. If you're a fan of friends than you know about Ross' leftover thanksgiving sandwich. It's amazing. But alas the holiday is over and school is still running.
"Tired?" I turned my head to look at Mark as I closed my locker.
"Yeah, I think it's just that Hanukah and Christmas is so close and I know our vacation is almost here," I said whining a bit. Mark laughed as we walked to our science class.
"You ready for this weekend?" he asked and I shook my head as we entered the class. Logan was already sitting at our lab table.
"No, I'm sure Quinn has a room all nice and painted for me though," I said. Mark laughed as we sat down.
Yup this weekend I am sleeping over Quinn's house. It's going to be really weird. I'm so used to noise and little feet running all over the place. It'll just be me and Quinn. Possibly, Puck too, but I'm not sure yet. I'm a little nervous for it, but my mom thinks it's good for me and Quinn. A step in the right direction or whatever. I looked at the clock and tried to concentrate. I mean when the bell rings and after Glee Club I'm not going home, I'm going with Quinn.
"Stop looking at the clock," Logan hissed at me. I glared at her and concentrated on taking notes again. I copied some off of Mark.
I concentrated on the activity and lecture a much as possible. I was still zoning out though. It's not my absence seizures. Those have become minimal. I barely have them since my surgery and brain slash head is nicely healed. I can walk like I used to and I stutter from time to time, very rarely though. Usually, just when I am trying to say things quickly.
I turned my head and looked at the clock. I sighed, going back to the work book to answer a few more questions. After four I decided that since everyone was putting things away I could too. As soon as I was done putting away my textbook, workbook, and things in my backpack the bell rang.
I walked with Logan to our lockers while Mark went to his. We all ended up meeting outside of the Choir room. Glee was just rehearsal for sectionals in two weeks before our holiday break. We are doing a couple old songs because that's the theme. Classic's like the 80's, 70's, 60's, and 50's. Mom wants to through in a 90's song that she insist is a classic, but it probably isn't.
The song's we are singing are: We've Got Tonight by Bob Seger from 1978, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen from 1975, and Footloose by Kenny Logins from 1984. We've got Tonight is a duet with Nick Ross and Emma Krav singing, they're seniors. Bohemian Rhapsody and Footloose is everyone. The dance is pretty hard. I know Marley, Unique, and Ryder are having a bit of trouble with the Footloose dance. There's a kid named Jake who seems to get every dance we work on down. It's like it's easy for him. He reminds me of Puck sometimes, his on again off again girlfriend Kitty is what I imagine Quinn was like in high school. Kitty idolizes Quinn, I wonder if she knew Quinn got pregnant in high school.
"Okay that was good, we'll see you on Monday, have a wonderful weekend," My mom said. I sighed and closed my eyes.
"I wonder if it's possible for a person's feet to fall off," Ryder said and I laughed.
"I feel the same way," I said as I changed my shoes. "So you nervous or anything?" Ryder knows I'm adopted and that Quinn is my mom. So does Marley and Unique. They don't care.
"A little," I said. Jake smiled.
"It'll be fine, just act like you whenever you guys are around each other outside of school," Ryder said. I started to laugh.
"Yeah, I think I'm worse outside of school than I am in school," I said as I got up.
"Well, try to be nice," Ryder said and walked away waving bye.
I saw Quinn and went to my mom. I hugged her and told her to tell Leo that I will miss him. I also told her she cannot make any crepes or French Toast for breakfast while I'm not there. She can also not make any amazing dinner that I like while I'm not present. It wouldn't be fair. I hugged my mom before I walked towards Quinn. We went to her classroom really quick and she picked up some things before we headed to her car. Its red, a red Honda.
Quinn's house was yellow, with a red door and white railings and shutters. I'm sure f it were sunny it would be really bright inside. Her kitchen was small, but really nice. Her Dining room was small too. Her living room a bit big and looked super comfy. Fire place, and a nice tv. Quinn led me down the hall and showed me her room and her master bathroom. We them went upstairs. There were two rooms. One was a guest bedroom and it looked like any other square bedroom. There was another bathroom and then the next bedroom she opened and I realized it was mine. There was a window that had a view of the street, it was white and blue. It was really nice, it was like an attic room.
"I remember your mom telling me you had a thing for attic styled bedrooms. I figured you'd like this one," Quinn said. I nodded and thanked her. She let me put my things away and relax a bit. After a few minutes Quinn called me down and we left the house.
"So we have to go to the store and pick some things up. I didn't get a chance to yesterday and on Sunday Puck is coming over for brunch," Quinn said as she drove. "How does Pizza sound for tonight?"
"Okay, what do we need to pick up?" I asked.
"Baking supplies. We are making cookies. I've been wanting to make some, but decided to wait to make them with you," she said. I nodded, not really sure what to say. "You now puck and I used to bake together when I was pregnant. Cupcakes, Cakes, cookies, even pies. He helped me make cupcakes once for a bake sale in the schools Cooking Class. We made a mess, we threw flower on each other, I cracked an egg on him, just this big mess. But the cupcakes were good and they kept selling out."
"Yeah because you put weed in them," I said. Quinn looked at me shocked as she parked the car in the lot.
"He told you," she said and I nodded. "I didn't know he put weed in them until after. I had had one too, before I knew I was even pregnant with you. He's so lucky it didn't' do anything to you. I would have killed him."
I laughed as we walked towards the grocery store. Quinn grabbed a cart and we looked around. We grabbed brown sugar, butter, chocolate chips, milk, some pasta, apples, and bananas. Quinn has the rest of the ingredients needed for cookies at her house. I took the first bag from the clerk as Quinn paid.
"Can I go look at the red box movies?" I asked and Quinn nodded.
QUINN POV
Beth walked towards the left exit. I shook my head as I saw her take a bite out of a granny smith apple.
"You have a wonderful daughter," I heard. I turned to the lady behind me and I smiled.
"She can be a handful sometimes," I said as I finished paying. "Thank you," I said to the clerk while I grabbed my other bag of groceries and the receipt. I waived bye to the lady behind me with a smile.
Walking out of the store I turned and looked for Beth. I sighed and figured she might just be next to the car or trying to scare me.
"Beth, Beth come on this isn't funny," I said. I walked towards the left towards the redbox machine.
Instead of finding Beth I found our groceries on the floor. The milk was opened and spilled. I looked around for a second starting to panic. I found the apple that Beth had bitten. I walked towards it and saw the trees that separated the customer parking from employee parking.
"Beth," I said. What if she fell and hurt her head? Or had a seizure? Or what if she's just chasing a stray puppy? God I'll kill her if she's chasing a stray puppy. I walked through the trees. "Beth!"
I felt like someone was behind me. I turned around and got hit in the face. I stumbled back dropping my groceries and purse. I fought the person. I was pushed up against a van and my head hit it hard twice. I pushed my arm away and punched the person. I was punched again in the face and then slammed against the van. I felt dizzy, heavy almost. I was dragged and a door opened. I was tossed inside and I fell against hard metal. I looked around, but it was just white.
However on the other side there was a black blanket. On that blanket was a body. I felt my eyes get heavy and I reached out my hand to grab Beth's as my eyes closed.
