Good morning! Back again with another short drabble for those who are still around. I can no longer access my old laptop's files and have lost all of my prior stories that weren't just little unrelated drabbles. However, that is not to say I will not be continuing my old stories. I will, but it will take some time to reread them and then pick up fresh where I left off with not direction. Don't worry though, I'll do my best!

Also, don't hesitate to give me some prompt ideas or tell me if there's anything you'd like to see!

Time was such an elusive concept to the thieving ninja of Wutai. What could it measure but frames of events, the turn of Gaia, the breaths taken from one point to another? Time meant nothing.

It couldn't measure how often she felt her eyes sting between the moment they found the crimson gunslinger's dirge chain, to the first drop of rain that splattered on the debris-filled sidewalk, to the last swig of bitter alcohol as she swallowed down her pain and prayed to Leviathan that she would see him again.

She never even got to say goodbye.

How long between Cid patting her back pityingly and Reeve turning to hide his uncertain expression? She knew what they all were thinking- poor, lovesick fool of a girl who fell for the wild card of the group. Poor, foolish Yuffie. Poor fool. She knew. No one had to say it.

How long until she felt her wounded heart crack deeper and splinter into little shards that carried memories of him?

They said a week. He was gone a week before he returned. But time was just a human concept, and Yuffie could only measure the moment he was gone, to the moment he held her close and whispered his apologies into her ear in little moments of defiance, knowing that her gunslinger would always return. No matter how much time it took.

Hope you enjoyed! I would really love some reviews letting me know if they like what I've been writing lately /: I feel like I've changed so much since I left (Okay, I have changed a lot since I left) and I don't know if it translates well in my writing. Your guidance and direction would be very much appreciated!
