Now that this author's note is up, that means that the first chapter of my next story is also up, so go and check it out! For those who are new to fan fiction and are unsure on how to find my new story, just click on my username, and it will bring you to my page. If you scroll to the very bottom of the page, you will find a selection of stories that I have written. Click on Drowning in Secrets (I know, another cheesy name) and you will be brought to the very first chapter of that story. Or, you could go to Facebook page (Drowning Series), and there will be a link posted to the first chapter of my new story. I really would just post a link on this page, but last time I tried it, fanfiction didn't want to cooperate with me. Fanfiction is touchy with links, so I never bother. Well, onwards to my rambling!
I want to thank you all for reading my stories for as long as you have been! I'd like to say a special thank you to Call Me Bessie and DragonfireOfHope for their reviews!
Whether you're new to the series, or have been reading along all this time, I'm tickled that you have taken the time to read a story that has been playing out in my head for several years now. When I first started this series, I was writing only for myself. I never had people that willingly read my stories before. I used to write an original series (nonfanfic related) when I was much younger, but I would have to ask people to read it. Which is sad. So I was pretty excited to start sharing my work with you guys. I was ecstatic when I received my very first reviews, and believe me, I still am!
I hope you all tag along to read the next and final part of the Drowning Series. At this point in time, I'm planning that it will be the last one, but I also can't tell the future. Unless if I wake up in the middle of the night with a genius idea that will keep the series moving forward, this is going to be the last one. This story was a total of 406 pages long (officially finished on January 16, 2016). I know, it wasn't as long as my first story, but oh well. Strangely, I have a larger word count for this story rather than the first one.
I was originally never going to make this series into a trilogy. If you had asked me even just a few months ago, I would've been confident that this was only going to be a two-parter. Why? Because I wanted to rake up as many reviews as possible. You see, some fanfictions get published if they reach enough reviews. It has happened, and I knew that it wasn't likely for me to get handed a publishing deal, but I at least wanted to try. However, when I discovered that a fanfiction needs on average 25 thousand reviews for just one story, I decided that my chances were very improbable. So instead of making Drowning in Illusions one ridiculously long story, I decided 'Oh, what the hell?' and decided to break it up into a couple of stories. Because lets face it; I don't think anyone can make it to 25 thousand reviews for one story, considering that even the very most popular POTO fanfic's have only made it to about 2 or 3 thousand. I would be pretty excited if someone made it to 25 thousand reviews. Gosh, if I had made it to that, I'd probably have a heart attack.
Besides, it'd look strange to have Drowning in the Music that only had 45 chapters, and then have Drowning in Illusions with over a hundred. Cause that's what it would've ended up like. Really disproportionate. But this next story will be really meaty; a lot for me to cover! And ohh boy, the ideas I have for it! I feel wicked and evil. It's going to be a crazy ride, folks! Meanwhile, please read and review! Thank you all very much for your support.
