Hunter tried to console him, rubbing his back gently and looking at him apologetically, only to have him storm from the room to Stephanie's office right up the hallway. What Shawn didn't realize was, Stephanie was keeping her husband carefully in line, using power plays and strategies beyond the Cerebral Assassin. Hunter would never get to marry Shawn, because she wouldn't let him.

Hunter granted the vacation. Sheamus and Reigns made the trip to Reign's home, exchanging somber glances the entire flight over. They called ahead as they landed, since the time of their landing was just after dinner, Roman figured he would speak to his father alone. He would tell him in private, not before the entire family as his cousin did before him.

Reigns landed and handed his bags to Sheamus, who took them and walked out of the airport with Roman.

"Ya don't have ta do this," he murmured, looking at Reigns with sorrow. A sad smile crossed Reign's face and he replied, "Yes, I do." and stepped into the taxi. Sheamus reluctantly took off in a separate taxi, headed for a hotel near the airport to book a room for the two of them.

Reigns arrived at his family's house with the same sad smile on his face. He greeted everyone, as several of his cousins and uncles tousled in the yard together. It would be the last he saw any of them, he was sure of this. His hand clutched the flash drive hanging from his wrist on a bracelet, holding a few of the video journals he had copied there as his love slept the night before. He greeted everyone politely, hugging his mother for just a moment longer as he struggled to keep back tears. He asked respectfully to meet with his father, privately, and glanced over his shoulder one final time at his mother's face before heading in.

Sheamus arrived at the hotel and set the bags down, wearing an expression of deep worry. He had no real friends to speak of that weren't already at work in Smackdown. He glanced at the clock, then decided to call his friend, Drew MacIntyre. He understood Sheamus more than anyone on the roster, except Reigns. He would know if he was worrying just a bit too much.

Sika headed into his office, followed by his somber-faced son. Reigns stood before him with his arms crossed, trying to find the best way to say things, when Sika jarred him from his thoughts with an expectant, "Well?"

Reigns let out a sigh as he decided to just dive in. He sat before his father and told him everything, starting at the beginning. Sika's face remained passive throughout Reign's explanations.

"I'm not asking you to accept me, I'm not coming out of the closet, this is just a big moment for me, a big decision, and I wanted my family to be there for the wedding. I didn't think it was appropriate to belt it ot before everyone, but I wanted to show you respect and ask you the best way possible." Reigns handed his father the flash drive and dropped his eyes to the floor with a sigh. Sika stood and uttered a terse. "I see. Go back, wherever you are staying, and wait for me to call you." Reigns jumped to his feet, leaving the room and closing the door quietly, leaving the house quickly, giving quick goodbyes before rushing away.

Sheamus sat on the bed chatting with Drew as he assured him that he was indeed overreacting. Sheamus bid his old friend a quick goodbye after promising to calm down. Sheamus couldn't do much, except wait for Reigns to return.

Sheamus didn't wait long, as Reigns trotted in with a blank expression, showering and changing into some boxers before collapsing into the bed and Sheamus's waiting arms. He curled into his chest and sobbed inconsolably as Sheamus looked down at his love and shed a few tears of his own. He murmured, "It's okay, luv. It'll be okay." more to assure himself than Reigns. The truth was, he had no idea if they would be okay.

Sika sat down at his desk carrying the flash drive his son had prepared for him. He played the first video, which was Sheamus telling the story from the beginning as he saw it. Sika smiled softly at the reverent tone Sheamus used when he spoke of Reigns. it reminded him of his wife's tone at times. Reigns had included videos from the months that passed, each time, the two signed on with their titles on their shoulders.

Reigns didn't know the full story behind his cousin's eventual isolation. His cousin had already told Sika that he was coming out with or without the family, because it would help his career. He cared nothing for the family. In a fit of rage, Sika had ordered the family not to speak to him again. He later saw the error of his ways, but he had already ordered the family not to bury him, and he would not go back on his declarations. Roman's cousin had been impulsive and selfish. Roman, on the other hand, had considered the family, traditions, and his own culture. Sika felt his heart swell as his son glanced over at Sheamus with pure love shining from his eyes, only to see that love purely returned.
