Forty Eight- The True Power

A shining light surrounded Chi, causing her to glow. The power she gave off was so incredible, that the others had to shield their eyes and steady themselves so they wouldn't get knocked over.

Yami's eyes were wide as she watched in shock as Chi's power radiated and the waves shook to where she was standing. Her eyes narrowed as she glared at the young woman who was responsible for all of it.

"You," Yami hissed with clinched teeth. "You're responsible for all of this, aren't you?"

Chi, although short like he other two Pans, stood straight and as tall as she could. "I'm not the one who destroyed timelines. I'm only paying you back what you owe."

Yami was shaking, and she laughed as if she found something about the situation hysterical. "I- I took you in!" She spat towards Chi.

Chi's dark eyes narrowed on the older woman. "You killed almost everyone I love on my wedding day," she sneered. "You tried to make me believe I was the one responsible for their deaths!"

Pan felt a chill run down her spine. Chi was the blood bride from her nightmares. She could only imagine how that horrible day must have went through her eyes...

"But I didn't take everything from you, did I?" Yami bellowed angrily, her magic becoming wild as her emotions. Chi was remarkably powerful and Yami wondered how in the world she was able to keep it a secret for so long?! "Where's your amulet, hm?" Yami raised a dark eyebrow. "Did you honestly think you could continue hiding him in that make believe world you made for him in that pendant? I know just how strong he is, you know!"

A slight confusion ran through the other Saiyans. Him...? Who was Yami talking about?

Chi's jaw tightened as she glared at Yami. "You bitch..." her voice was low and angry. "After all you done, I was still going to spar your life, because although you tried so hard to ruin them, my morals are still good. But you just had to drag my son into it, didn't you?" Her brow twitched, and it was obvious by the power radiating from her that she was pissed.

LP who was leaning against T for support, gasped. Chi had a kid...? She hadn't even known! But the more she thought about it, the more she could see the signs were all there. That night Chi was screaming just months after she arrived, that was her giving birth, wasn't it? She always did have that pendant hanging around her neck, holding it gently as she hummed...

"It all makes sense now," Vegeta was the one to murmur. "A Saiyan cannot possibly live without its mate, unless it's with child."

Chi looked back at the group, her eyes lingering on Trunks for just a second longer before she looked back at Yami.

"I bet it's with that stupid wolf, isn't it?" Yami clenched her teeth in anger. "I'll get him, just like I got you. Just you wait, Chi-"

"My name," Chi began darkly, a vein beginning to pop from her forehead. "IS PAN!"

With that, she flew over to Yami and the battle began. It was a clash of hot, angry power like no other. LP watched in wonder as they fought. Yami, although weakened, did look as if she was holding up her own against Chi... Then again, LP was almost positive that Chi wasn't using her full strength.

Lightening flashed across the sky and the thunder hadn't stopped rumbling. The buildings were being torn into as the enchantress threw their blasts and each other threw them.

Chi kicked Yami in the gut, sending her whirling back and the older woman screamed as she curled up on the ground. Her pale hands were shaking, her green veins popping out as wrinkles began to form on them.

Chi landed in front of her her eyes set on the witch. "You and I both know how this will end."

Yami spat at her weakly, her hand sliding behind her to form the last bit of magic she could produce. "After everything I did to help you both..."

Chi rolled her eyes in annoyance. That was the thing about Yami, she couldn't see her own mistakes. "You and I both know you did what you did for your own gain."

Chi held open her palm as what looked like a white fire began to shine in it. It was time for Yami to be gone for good so things could finally be back to how they were suppose to be.

"Wait," Yami lifted her head to look at Chi, and she could see how the woman had aged so much in just the last few minutes. Now that her magic was deteriorating, she was turning into the old hag she had been before she received it. She smirked, her once bright teen a dingy yellow and laughed as she threw her hand out, all the magic she could possibly control and threw it straight towards Pan.

"No!" Chi screamed, flinging her arm to send Yami crushing against a nearby building.

LP's eyes widened as she saw it coming, but she was too weak to move! Trunks saw it coming as if in slow motion, and he quickly pushed her behind him. He had to protect her and their child!

He closed his eyes, waiting for the impact... But it never came...

Hearing a few grunts and gasps of everyone else, Trunks opened his eyes to see a young teen, no older than probably thirteen standing in front of him. He had dark blue hair that came down messily around his pierced ears. He had a tanned skin, a sharp nose, and wide coal black eyes. He smirked as he held the angry roaring power between his hands. Although the energy from it made the boy's hair fly and the ground shake, it seemed to have been no problem for him...

Pan let out a shaky breath, as Trunks wrapped his arms around her tightly. He wasn't sure who the boy was or where he came from, but he was grateful for him at the moment... He had saved him and Pan and their child.

The boy suppressed Yami's magic as if it were nothing, turning it into a medal ball the size of the baseball. He threw it between his hands a few times before chunking it into space. It whizzed as it flew and once it went beyond he atmosphere, it disintegrated.

"Uh..." Gohan glanced at the young boy who turned to face Trunks and Pan.

Pan blinked at him, having the strangest feeling that she knew who he was for some reason...

LP couldn't help but feel like she knew who he was too...

"Are you two okay?" He asked walking up to them. "I saw her throwing it towards you two and I couldn't just let you get hurt..."

"I'm fine," Pan told him gently. "Thank you for saving us..."

Trunks cleared his throat, "Who-"

"ATLAS!"

The boy's eyes widened as he gulped and slowly he turned towards the yell. It was Chi, and she wasn't happy. She marched straight up to him, her hands on her hips as her eyebrows furrowed angrily.

"Just what are you doing here?!" She demanded towards him angrily. "It's dangerous!"

"But Mom!" He began, causing the group to be a little more than shocked.

Pan's hand flew to her stomach, and she could still feel her baby's steady ki. That young boy standing in front of her... The one who saved her and Trunks... That was her son? He was so handsome..! She felt herself tearing up.

"I wanted to help!" Atlas continued with a pout. "She was about to hurt you and Dad!"

Chi let out a huff as she rubbed the bridge of her nose. "I could have stopped it in time, you didn't need to throw yourself out in front of it like that! And you're suppose to be thirteen years in the future, why are you here? What have I told you about time-jumping? You are going to be so grounded when you get back!" She told him sternly.

Atlas gasped at her, "You're not even in that time yet!"

"Doesn't matter, I know," she told him seriously. "Gosh..." she placed a hand on her forehead. "You about gave me a heart attack!" She let out a small sigh as she looked at his frowning face. "But... you did do one heck of a job suppressing it and sending it away."

Atlas beamed at the comment. "I am sorry for scaring you, Mom... I just wanted to help."

"Well it's not over yet," Chi told him, placing a hand on his shoulder. Although he was thirteen, he was almost her height.

She pointed to the wall she had crushed Yami in and the witch had managed to free her self. She was stumbling, as she walked closer towards them, and she looked older than the hills now. Her back was hunched, her hair a snowy white. Her skin had age spots dotted all over it and many of her teeth were missing.

Chi let out a small sigh and shook her head. "Do you want to do the honors?" She glanced at Atlas.

"Can I really?!" He asked in excitement. "Really, Mom?!" He asked again, his dark eyes wide.

"Well, you did come all this way..." she told him with a small grin. "But," she grabbed his shoulder as he started to take a few steps in front of her. "Don't over do it."

"Yes ma'am," he nodded and as she let go, he stepped up.

"You..." Yami's nastily voice sneered towards Atlas. "You're power... it's you... the boy..." she gasped and stuttered. "Your power... Like no other... Your power..." she began muttering.

Chi just shook her head and crossed her arms. "You're not getting my son, you bitch," she declared. "Atlas, now!"

He nodded, and raised spread his hands before clapping them together loudly. As they spread to his sides again, the air shifted and tiny specs of glitter began to float in the air. It took a few seconds but as they flowed brighter the Saiyans realized that they weren't specs of glitter... They were tiny stars!

Atlas raised his right arm slowly as the tiny stars began to orbit around him. His fingers formed that of a hand gun and the stars began to spin faster, clashing together to form a dazzling orb radiating of power. It floated to the tip of Atlas' finger and he lowered his arm, pointing the orb straight at a snarling Yami.

"May the stars judge you rightfully," Atlas spoke loudly. He bent his thumb, and as if pulling the trigger, the orb shot towards Yami.

They watched as it exploded, and brilliant magic became colors of blue, purples, and pinks surrounded her as she screamed in anguish. Her screams faded as the the colors turned to smoke, and when it disappeared, Yami wasn't there either.

"They deemed her as guilty," Atlas looked back at Chi.

"Yes, they did," she nodded. She wasn't sure where the magic took Yami, to hell possibly, that's where she deserved to go anyways. Or maybe they just sent her to death. Either way, Chi knew for a certainty that she was now gone. "You did amazing," she told Atlas with a smile.

"Just wait until I tell you that I'm the one that took Yami down," he grinned.

"You're going to be in even more trouble," Chi gave him a side glare.

"Is she really gone?" Goten spoke up. "Like that was it? Just poof and she's gone?"

Chi gave a nod, "he called on the stars, or our magic you could even call it, to judge Yami. She's not here so they judged her as evil, they're punishment for that is either hell or death. Either way, she's gone now."

"But wait..." LP spoke up. "How old is he?" She glanced at Atlas. "How is he so powerful...?" She whispered. "That was... the four corners spell, wasn't it?" She was completely shocked. She thought only mature and very experienced enchanters could do that.

Chi smiled, reaching up to stroke her future son's cheek lovingly. "He's thirteen, and it wasn't the four corners spell... It was the star judgment spell... It's stronger because it doesn't just call our ancestors but our magic, itself... Why he is so strong, I honestly don't know," Chi admitted with a soft shrug. "He was born on a night of the planet alignments so that a could be why. He also has a strong dose of enchanter and Saiyan in him so strong genes could be another reason. That, or he's just rotten," she pinched Atlas' cheeks and laughed at his frown.

"If Yami is gone, then where is everyone?" Bulla glanced around. They were still in West City, and other than them, there wasn't a soul in sight.

"Yami didn't take anyone, I did," Chi admitted. "I took them somewhere safe before she showed up so no one would be harmed. Don't worry, I can fix it... Everyone hold on," she smiled softly.

Atlas wrapped an arm around her waist as she wrapped one around his and held her palm up. A shining light escaped, causing the city to glow brightly. The shadows that Yami had brought hissed and disappeared in a smoke as the light touched them. Within seconds, the buildings that had been crumbling, were built up and people were walking on the streets as if nothing had happened!

The Saiyans gasped as the people walked right passed them, not even seeing them. Suddenly, there was a small shift in the air and a tug in their guts similar to Instant Transmisson. Within seconds, they disappeared from West City and they were on an island hundred of miles away from it.

It had been morning when the mess had started, but now the sun was setting. There was no way that much time had actually passed, so it must have been Chi.

A loud, low howl from above caused everyone to glance up to a rocky edge where a large wolf stood. His fur was like moonlight and his eyes the color of blood.

"Nobu..." LP gasped in awe. Although she had never seen him in his celestial wolf form, she just knew it was him!

Chi let out a small breath as Nobu began to jump down from the ledge and Atlas smiled and placed a hand on her back, giving her a small nudge.

"Go..." he told her.

As Nobu's feet touched he ground, Chi took off running towards him as fast as she could.

Atlas turned back to see Pan's confused expression, and when their eyes met, he smiled at her. She felt her stomach do a little flip... Her sweet boy... She couldn't help but smile back.

"MAMA!" A toddler's voice rung out through the air, and everyone saw a messy head of dark blue hair shoot out from around the wolf's neck. He beamed at Chi, and shot up and flew to her!

"Oh!" Chi caught him effortlessly and hugged him close to her chest. He giggled as she peppered his face with loving kisses.

"I kept it safe," he told her, leaning back to show her the sapphire pendant she had always kept close.

"You did," she nodded at him proudly.

"Nobu-san!" The teen Atlas ran up to the excited wolf. Nobu licked his face happily before nuzzling him.

"Thank you so much, Nobu..." Chi told him sincerely. "I can't possibly ever repay you what I owe for keeping Atlas safe, but maybe this will do... Nobu," she called loudly, a sweet smile on her face. "Your work for my family is done. Your punishment is over. Return home..."

There was a wave through the air as Nobu stood up on his hind legs and howled happily. His fur shined brightly and even though he was in wolf form, you could see the smile on his face. His eyes met LP's and she sent him a happy smile. Although Yami had been a nightmare, Nobu had been so sweet... She was glad he was finally free.

Nobu wasted no time, and turned, running off into the sky towards the stars. Little Atlas giggled and waved, "bye bye Nobu-san!" He did a small, howl to try to imitate Nobu, but it came out more like a puppy yelp.

"Okay you," Chi looked at teen Atlas. "Time for you to get back too before you cause me grey hairs."

He grinned, "alright, alright. Just one thing, Mom," he leaned in closer to her. "Try not to ground me for too long, okay?"

"I'll think about it," Chi said with an amused grin.

He turned to face Pan and Trunks and his eyes softened. His eyes glanced down to Pan's stomach where he could feel his own ki coming from. His eyes met theirs again and he grinned, "I'll see you two very soon," he promised them.

With that, he turned and took off running on the sand. In a split second he morphed into a wolf- much like Nobu had been! But his fur was dark like the night, with streaks of dark blue in it. He turned back to their shocked faces before he howled loudly, just as Nobu had done and disappeared.

Little Atlas, following in the older's footsteps howled again, but in the middle of it he hiccuped... which turned him into a wolf pup.

Chi sighed as Pan's eyes widened. Her son... could turn into a wolf... What...?!

"Seriously, Atlas?" Chi whined, "it took me forever to turn you back last time!"

His simple response was to yelp, his tail wagging happily as he licked her face.

Chi turned to see everyone's shocked expressions and gave a small grin. "As you can see, we'll have our hands full," she told Trunks and Pan. "He's a animagus, meaning he can morph into an animal at will... Being around Nobu was quite an influence on him," she let out a small laugh. "He picked it up quickly, but since he's so young it's hard for him to control. No worries, he doesn't turn into a wolf for the first time until he's two."

"He must be pretty powerful to do that," Goku spoke up with a small smile. "I thought you guys had to be twenty?" He raised a dark eyebrow.

"Most enchanters do... It seems Atlas," Chi looked down at her son with a fond smile. "Like I mentioned earlier is quite powerful... I guess he's is an exception."

"Thank you," LP told her. "For all that you did for me back then."

"Of course," Chi nodded. "I'm sorry I wasn't around much. I had to keep him safe..."

"I understand," LP assured her, resting her head on T. She really did owe Chi for a lot. If it weren't for her, she never would have escaped from Yami, she never would have met her Trunks...

"So... What are you going to do now?" Gohan asked Chi gently. It was strange, there were three Pan's and only one was his from this time, and yet he felt the urge to protect them all.

"We," Chi spoke, glancing down at the puppy who was playing with her finger. "Have a timeline to go back to. Yami might have killed you all in my time, but she didn't destroy earth, Piccolo or Dende... I have a Namek to ask a favor of," she smiled. She would be seeing her family again soon, she just knew it and she couldn't wait!

"Be safe," Pan told her gently.

Chi nodded, "And you too, all of you," she smiled, glancing at the group. "Be at peace now... No more bad dreams," she told Pan with a smile.

She turned, walking away from the group and they watched as she disappeared from sight, going back to the time she belonged in.

"What a waste," Vegeta grumbled. "We didn't even get to fight anything."

"Daddy, that's a good thing," Bulla pouted up at him.

Goku gave a small nod, "I have to say, it is a bummer that we couldn't do anything..."

Gohan let out a gentle chuckle, "let's just head back, shall we? Chi must have sped up time, cause it's getting dark. I'm sure the others are curious as to what's happening."

Pan glanced up at Trunks and their eyes met. "Home?" She asked him.

He gave a nod and kisses her forehead, "home..."
