Smiling, Kurt pulls something out of his pockets and shows it to Blaine.
"What's that?"
Kurt hands two tickets over to him and this one reads out what is written there.
"Two flights to Paris?"
He stares at him in disbelieve, but Kurt shows him another ticket, still smiling.
"A room reservation for this weekend?"
Slowly, Kurt's smile fades while he watches Blaine's furious expression.
"You must be kidding."
Disappointed, Kurt drops his gaze.
"Kurt, that's too expensive! You should better save your money for your driver license."
With a sigh, he looks up.
You're not my mum! Stop sounding like her!
"Kurt, seriously. I don't get why you would spend so much money ..."
Blaine watches how Kurt sits on his bed and writes something.
Of course, Blaine is touched by this cute gesture, but they go both to school and don't have much money.
Maybe I just wanted to spend some time with my boyfriend in the city of love.
Blaine smirks and sits down next to him.
"Sure ... but you should've asked me before booking the tickets. I would've talked it out of you."
Kurt lays his head on Blaine's shoulder.
That's why I didn't ask you.
Blaine laughs and lets his head sink upon Kurt's.
It's Friday afternoon. The week was quite peaceful. The lawyer means that they will win the case against Max. Kurt touches Blaine more often and he doesn't shrink back when they awake and are entwined, but he still acts strange and sort of withdrawn. Blaine can't explain it, he just feels that something is wrong.
This Wednesday, Kurt received some tablets for his stomach, which should achieve that he doesn't have to barf every meal and in fact they help. Kurt ate a sandwich this morning and it's still in his stomach.
A success?
Slowly, Blaine puts his hand on Kurt's back and starts to stroke him.
"That's a damn expensive gift ... I don't know how I could ever accept it ..."
I will definitely take the flight. If you're not interested I could ask Michelle. I'm sure she wouldn't spurn me.
Kurt hears how Blaine laughs and feels how he grips his waist and pulls him closer. Slowly, Kurt lowers his head and smiles. Somehow, his touch is arousing but - for one single moment – he is forced to see another face and he hates himself for that.
"Don't you dare go with someone else to Paris," Blaine whispers and brings his head to Kurt's, soliciting himself. Kurt agrees and kisses him.
Kurt sits on the balcony, watching the lights of the City of love. They took the flight this evening and arrived at Paris tonight. They'll spend the whole Saturday here and on Sunday, they will fly back.
Actually, they wanted to walk through the city's streets, but they were both so tired that they decided to go to bed. Somehow, Kurt couldn't fall asleep. He sleeps very fitfully since Wednesday, since he got that message.
Kurt stretches his right leg, which reaches the balcony's grid and tucks his left one. He tilts his head back and feels the cold metal.
This room is just beautiful, and from the cute small balcony, he can see the Eiffel Tower.
He turns his head to the right and watches the night. Suddenly, he feels something cold on his cheeks and realizes that he cries, so he turns his head to the left, to look at Blaine who is sleeping in the big beautiful bed.
Since a few days, Kurt feels more and more how this special spot in his stomach aches.
It's like – now that he knows what it is - it got worse. That's actually impossible, but maybe it's just the fact that he has to think less about 'that guy' and more about the end of his life.
It could also be that he didn't realize how bad it really was, because he had other pains. Other sorrows, while everything he thinks about now is focused on that new problem.
I feel so horrible.
Thinking about that everything I ever wanted won't be within reach.
Then Blaine turns his body with his face to Kurt, like he heard what this one was thinking.
He looks to his sleeping boyfriend.
Well, everything except of one thing ...
Sighingly, Kurt averts his gaze again and watches people walking there, passing him, laughing like nothing happened.
Like this wouldn't be the end of the world.
Kurt hears a low moan of Blaine and gives all his attention to him again.
Slowly, this one slides his hand over the sheets, searching for Kurt. He clenches a fist and opens his eyes.
"Kuuurt," he whispers, too tired to move.
Kurt averts his gaze and wipes his tears away.
"What you're doing there?"
Kurt swallows and tucks both legs now, he contracts his brows and starts to question the whole trip.
I wanted to spend every minute with him.
But it hurts. I can't handle his presence, I should've broken up with him.
Would be better for both of us.
Should've tried to play Satine in our own Moulin Rouge.
What was it? Send him away? Hurt him to save him?
That's what I should have done.
Suddenly, he feels a hand on his arm.
"Bad dream again?"
Kurt nods his head without hesitation, trying to not worry him. Blaine rubs his eyes and scans his boyfriend. Kurt doesn't tremble and his eyes aren't widened from fear. His eyes are indeed swollen and red so he must have cried, but not because of a bad dream.
"What is bothering you? Still not better with your stomach? Thought the medicine helps."
Kurt sighs and closes his eyes.
So many questions, not a single answer that I can give you.
"Kurt," his voice sounds a bit wobbly - he knows that Blaine is close to get angry again and Kurt expected him to stand up and yell at him, but in fact, he feels how Blaine also sits down next to him, touching his left side.
"I feel so exhausted," Blaine starts and Kurt opens his eyes again.
"Why is it that whenever we experience something nice, something bad follows?"
Kurt guides his head to him, he stopped crying and scans Blaine's face.
His eyelashes.
His lips.
His eyebrows ...
"Seriously," he continues and looks straight ahead.
"Remember our first meeting! You slapped me ... twice I guess. Our date, we kiss ... your dad slaps you. We come together, trying to -" he drops his head and starts so grin, so does Kurt, knowing what he's aiming at.
"... and you pass out. My parents chuck me out, we are happy, then I start to be a silly idiot and be jealous and -"
He tucks his legs and buries his face in his hands, so that Kurt feels bad for him and starts to stroke his knee.
"And I break up with you, you want to kill yourself ... somehow we get back together ... We were together for a week again, before that shit happened? Right?"
Kurt needs a moment to get what Blaine means and nods his head while Blaine turns his face to him.
"But do you wanna know something? From now on," Blaine reaches out his hand and Kurt takes it, feeling his warm strength.
"... we won't let something bad happen again."
Kurt swallows and drops his head, feeling how tears start to find their ways out of his eyes.
"Honey," Blaine mumbles and lays his hand on Kurt's neck.
"Please let me know what the matter is ..."
Kurt raises his head and bends to Blaine, starting to kiss him. First slow, then more and more wildly.
Blaine pulls his hands away and wants to support himself on the ground, but Kurt is too unbridled and presses against him, so that they both fall.
"Kurt," Blaine says and averts his gaze, to be safe from his boyfriend's kisses but this one just goes on, kissing his neck.
"Stop that shit ..."
Blaine sits up and pushes Kurt away, gingerly. He looks at Kurt with puckered brows.
"What's wrong with you?"
Kurt looks to the ground, like he would be thinking about an answer, but in fact he just raises his head again and slides closer, leaning forward.
"I'm frightened when you look at me like this," he mumbles and feels how his boyfriend starts to slide his fingers under his shirt.
"Stop that," he screams and grips his hand.
"I'm serious."
But Kurt seems to not listen and wants to kiss him again, so that Blaine shoves him away, not gingerly at all this time.
"What do you think you're doing? That's not you Kurt! I thought you got that I don't want you to pretend you want something, because you assume that I want it."
Kurt stands up and walks to his notebook, while Blaine starts to realize that he yelled at him again.
"Sorry, I -"
But Kurt turns around and shows him a note.
I don't pretend anything. I want sex with you!
Blaine sighs, crosses his arms and looks at his boyfriend.
"You don't."
Kurt nods his head.
"You don't."
Slowly, Blaine walks to him and kisses his cheek.
"I know you and there's nothing wrong with taking some time to feel comfortable again."
Blaine sees how Kurt starts to cry and writes something down again.
I want to want – so much.
Blaine swallows, starts to smile and takes Kurt's hands.
"There'll be a time when you want that again, but it's not today."
Suddenly, Kurt drops his head and feels how his boyfriend squeezes his hands a bit more.
"You don't need to be in a rush. We have all time in the world."
Kurt raises his gaze and looks into these beautiful brown eyes, then the picture fades, because of his tears.
"Honey," Blaine starts to hug him and is surprised as Kurt responds that eagerly to his touch. He presses his arms around Blaine's back and lays his head upon his shoulder, sobbing relentlessly.
"Everything's okay," he hears Blaine's voice whispering in his ear and strengthens his grip.
Blaine's body is warm and strong and this one has no idea how wrong he is.
All time in the world ...
He feels how Blaine starts to move his hands on his back in soothing circles.
"I'm here."
You're here.
But for how much longer?
And Blaine doesn't know why, but somehow Kurt cries even more.
