Liz walked into the hospital room to see Haylie fully dressed, impatiently pacing the room. "Let's go," Haylie said once she saw Liz.

Liz shook her head, "I've called Red to let him know I want to meet and I didn't tell him you'd be with me but I want you to know that I'm doing this for you, not him."

"Liz, I told you he probably has a good reason for not telling you," Haylie defended him.

Liz looked down, the sadness evident in her body language, "He said he'd never lie to me but not telling me huge details like the fact that he's behind my fake love story is a lie by omission and manipulative."

"Let's save his life so you can kick his ass," Haylie said with a smile as she walked out of the room, letting Liz follow her.

The ride to the meet location was silent until Liz asked a question, "Why would he hire Tom but then tell me he was dangerous?"

Haylie only had theories to give her but she owed Liz that much, "From what I gathered when we met his handler, he was fine until Berlin offered more and they flipped his mission."

Liz shook her head, "But what would Berlin want with me?"

Haylie didn't have anything to give her now, "I wish I knew and we can't even ask him because Red killed him," she explained.

Liz nodded, knowing Red's style either kill them or use them for himself. They pulled up on the curb next to a warehouse, "Do you want to wait?"

"No," Haylie said, firmly, "He needs to know I'm not giving up on us."

Liz nodded as they got out of the car where Red was standing there, "Why did you bring her? You aren't even giving up the fulcrum are you?" he shouted, his tone filled with frustration.

Haylie didn't speak as she stood there waiting for the right moment.

Liz spoke instead, "I know about Tom. I don't want anything to do with you anymore and the only reason I came here today was to give you this so you didn't have to leave Haylie. Don't try to charm your way back into my life, I'm done," she yelled, her anger boiling over.

Red placed the case on the hood of the car, "Lizzie, let me explain. You don't know everything."

Liz didn't respond as she got back in the car, slamming the door.

Haylie looked at him, her lower lip trembling, "I can't believe you're going to leave me."

Red looked at Liz in the car, pain across his face as he took in her words. He then looked to Haylie the same pain, present, "I have no choice and I wish you'd listen to me just once. I love you," he said, softly as he turned away from here.

That's when Haylie heard the shot fire and saw Red about to fall back but she ran behind him to brace his fall.

Dembe and Liz were at her side instantly as she pulled him behind the front of the SUV, cradling his head in her lap. She took off her jacket and held it to the wound as Liz and Dembe fired shots into the air at the unknown target.

"Please stay with me," Haylie whispered, looking down at Red's face which was contorted in pain.
