The sun was almost at the highest peak when Rabbitstrike noticed the cave. They had been walking through the entire night and went slower then she would have thought with Dew dragging them slowly.
"Rabbitstrike." Bugeye replied as he saw her. Then he noticed the crowd of cats behind her and gasped.
"Bugeye, get all the cats to gather at the Leader's Perch." She told him. Bugeye nodded and started to yowl orders at cats. Rabbitstrike went into the cave and leaped onto the rock, her hind legs slipped but she made it on. Below, her Clanmates, old and new gathered.
"We have new rules!" Rabbitstrike began. She had been thinking about this speech all night. "Firstly, we have new cats that shall join us to rise to be a powerful Clan." Below her, the cats cheered. "Next, names. No more wimpy names, for all of us!" She growled. "Now, when I call you up, if you are able to leap onto the top of this rock, then you will say your new name and will be a full cat of this Clan." She waved her tail to show the rock. "If you miss, I will give you a new name of my choice." Below her a few cats gulped.
"Let us begin." She said. She stepped foward. "From now on, I shall no longer be Rabbitstrike, but I shall be known as Storm, I shall get revenge on every cat like a unstoppable Storm!" Storm yowled. "Next up is Bugeye!" Bugeye looked confident as he bunched up his haunches and leaped onto the rock without effort.
"I am not Bugeye any longer!" He took a deep, long breath. "I am Chaos, for my birth clan drove me out and I shall not leave until I raise untimate chaos between the Clans!" Chaos then jumped down from the rock and stood to the side.
"Brownheart!" Storm called. Brownheart looked more nervous as he jumped toward the rock, he barely was able to drag himself on and was shaking as he looked down at the cats.
"I am no longer called by Brownheart, I shall be known as Rip, no longer will my red pelt be ashamed by being called brown, I ripped off that name and will rip anyone who still calls me that!" Rip finished with a flourish of his tail and jumped off the rock. Storm smiled, this was going better then she thought.

"Fireflame!" At the sound of her name, Storm's sister slowly walked up and leaped onto the rock her eyes filled with confusion.
"I am no longer Fireflame, but I am Flame, a raging fire." She said slowly and jumped off before any cat could react. Storm felt outraged. Keeping part of her warrior name and for hardly any reason! She tried to keep calm as she adressed the next cat.

"Goldenkit!" At the sound of her name Goldenkit scrambled over and wiggled her butt in the air, she leaped for the rock but hardly made it half way. Storm nearly laughed as she attempted over and over again to make it up.
"Goldenkit shall no longer be called that way. She shall be known as Shine until she is able to reach the rock." Storm called. Shine looked dissapointed and walked over to the side.

"Stride!" She called to the rouge. He looked suprised at being called up.
"But I don't have a weird name." Stride protested.

"But you must be loyal to this Clan by soul." Storm told him. Stride nodded and walked over to the rock and leaped on, making it perfectly with strong back legs.
"I am Stride, no longer a stray, but a part of Storm's Clan. I give up my life for it." Storm nodded, pleased with his presentation as he jumped off the rock.
"Dew!" She called. Dew looked up panting.
"I can-can't." She heaved. She looked very frail.
"Fine then, you shall be known as Flea until you get better." Storm snarled, angry that the queen didn't at least try. Stride looked upset but didn't speak up.

"Tan cats!" She called the she-cat and tom looked thrilled as they both raced up the rock.
The tom leaped onto the rock first, he had strong haunches to pull himself up and address the cats"I shall be known as Slither, I will creep past my enemies quietly and then strike." He said, green eyes flashing. His sister looked up with her sky blue eyes and tried leaping up as well. Her hind paws grasped the side of the rock and she landed hard in the dust. After a few more attempts Storm spoke for her.

"She shall be known as Drift until she can reach the rock." Slither leaped down and put his tail on his sister's shoulder in apology.
"Now the kits!" Storm jumped down from the rock and examined the three they collected from the city. They were laying in a bundle in the corner. Two toms and a she-cat.

The she-cat was smaller then the others and was all black.
"This shall be known as Bird until she reaches a time to reach the rock!" Storm announced lifting her from the box and gave her to Flea.
"Flea shall raise all of these kits!" She said. Flea barely nodded, her eyes seemed to distant to care. She looked down at the two toms. One was pure white and the other white speckled with black. She grabbed the all white one a hoisted him into the air.
"This shall be known as Clear." She then layed the kit near Flea. She grabbed the speckled one.
"This shall be known as Blizzard until they are able to reach the Perch." She gave the last bundle to Flea and jumped back on the rock.

"Now, everyone go hunt, but the kits, I want the prey-pile full!" Storm called. The cats had not had good hunting when she was gone because all that was in the prey-pile was a portion of a snake.

"Excuse me, does Flea have to hunt?" Stride asked.
"Of course, she can catch less prey but still must earn her share." Storm replied. Stride looked upset at this before leaving.

"Now Shine, and Drift. Come here." Storm becomed the young she-cats. Slither looked at her with confusion before padding out of the den. Both cats walked over to her.

"Yes Storm?" Shine mewed stopping near her.

"Now you two are going to train your skills because you guys are old enough to do somthing. But to weak to climb." Storm told them before padding over to where a twisted partly side-ways tree stood, the kits followed obidently.

"Now both of you climb to the top of the tree." She ordered pointing her tail at the tree. Drift immediatly launched herself as high as she could on the tree and using one paw after another she started to climb up, the cracks didn't seem to slow her as the tree started showing it's weak support. "Shine, climb!" Storm ordered, coldness edged her tone. Shine took a deep breath before trying to jump and clinging her claws into the dead and weak bark.
Storm smiled as she watched both young cats climbing determinaly up the dead tree, not at all stopping from the creaking and threats of the tree falling. "Climb higher! Higher! Higher!" She encouraged knowing she couldn't let them feel praise. Finally she watched as Drift and Shine stood at the tip of the dead tree looking at her. Both of them looked scared as the tree rocked back and forth.

"Now, leap down!" She ordered, both cats looked at each other before leaping down landing heavily onto the stone ground. They were in a heap and panting. Drift got a huge splinter but was hiding the pain while Shine ended up with several scratches.

"Good job both of you. Now do it all again." She laughed wickedly. Whipping these cats into shape would be easy.

Storm awoke in the Dark Forest feeling great confidence for his praise.

Lionclaw nodded respectfully to her as she got to her paws and padded over to him.

"Good job. Now I have to tell you that Redspirit is trying to find you." He meowed switching subjects off the task she just completed. She felt dissapointed, he didn't say more on how to improve but she pricked her ears in intrest.

"Redspirit?"
"That's what I just said." Lionclaw growled dryly.

"But...But why?" Storm stammered confused, last time she seemed content on staying.

"Like I know, I can't read minds!" He snarled. But you can nearly do everything else! Rabbitstrike had to hold her tongue to keep from blurting it out.

"I'm just saying that Redspirit is wondering around like a lost kit in snow. She's heading this way only she's far way off."

"I cannot leave the clan again!" Storm immediatly got what Lionclaw was trying to tell her. Lionclaw tipped his head.
"Why not?"

"Because you made me leave yesterday and most cats didn't have a clue why. I can't magically leave the Clan for days at a time!" She hissed, furious with the toms thinking.

"Well what do you suggest smart-mouth?" He narrowed his eyes and sat down.

"Can't you lead him here somehow?"

"Oh course I can, I will tell him I'm a StarClan mouse and to follow me." He meowed sarcastically.

"But seriously, can't you do somthing?" Storm growled losing patiance.

"You can!" Lionclaw hissed. "You have cats!" Storm nodded, she got what he was saying.
"I should send off one of my own?" Storm said, voice wavering. "Which one?"

"Whatever needs the training, this is to decide which of your cats are loyal! Send a strong and a weak cat to find her." He instructed.
"Which ones?" Storm pestered. Lionclaw bared his teeth.
"Like I know, do something!" He snapped. Slowly, the world churned under her paws. She was waking up.
