Hey guys, hope you enjoy this chapter. I know it's short, sorry. :/

I own nothing.

It was very easy to track Dorium. My only problem was that there was nothing in my possessions of significant value, which was what I would need for a vortex manipulator. I knew that Dorium mostly stayed on Maldovarium, so I did as well. It was a wild planet, with a lot of illegal activities going on its surface. A perfect place for a girl hiding from the law. I spent a lot of time looking for something valuable I could steal, but I was having little luck. At least until I ran across a travelling arms dealer. I had started talking to him out personal interest when he showed me something that I could easily twist into my needs.

"Micro-explosives. You stick them in a man's food, a woman's bottle of wine, anything edible, and once they're digested, kaboom!" the man tried to sell me.

"I'm not a spy. I don't need to kill people subtly. A gun does that fine for me."

"No, no, it's good for questioning people too! It comes with a Calisto Pulse. You can disarm them after they've been eaten!"

"Really?" I said, now extremely interested. "How much did you say this would cost?"

Another problem with Dorium was that he only would do business with people that he knew or had a close contact. I had learned that the hard way when I had tried to approach him randomly at a bar. His bodyguards hadn't let me within twenty feet. When I went through the appropriate channels, it asked for any notable allies that I had. Since I only really had one I kept in contact with, I put down the name, The Doctor.

Apparently, that was all I needed, because that evening I had a meeting with Dorium. I of course arrived early, and waited for the blue skinned man to appear. When he wondered over to the table, he simply asked, "River Song?"

"Dorium," I greeted.

He smiled as he sat down. "I've heard a lot about you, Dr. Song."

"Really? And you still were willing to meet with me?" I feigned surprised.

"A beautifully dangerous woman? Without a doubt." Suddenly, two drinks were laid in front of us. "I hope you don't mind I ordered drinks for us."

"Not at all," I said. I grabbed for the glass closer to him, dropping the micro explosives into the other. I took as sip as we got down to business.

"Well now, word on the belt is you're looking for time travel."

"Are you selling?" I checked.

His affirmative answer was a snap of his fingers. One of his guards quickly brought over a small brown box, and I assumed that it was in the vortex manipulator that I wanted.

"A vortex manipulator, fresh off the wrist of a handsome time agent," he confirmed. He opened the box before he sighed. "I said off the wrist." His guard took it away, I assumed to remove the hand. Dorium looked back at me. "Not cheap, Dr. Song. Have you brought me a pretty toy?"

I took off one of my earrings, where I had hidden the toy in question. I showed it to him, but didn't let him touch it. "This is a Calisto Pulse. It can disarm micro-explosives from up to twenty feet."

"What kind of micro-explosives?" he asked, more out of politeness than interest before he took a sip.

My next line captured it. "The kind I just put in your wine," I told him the moment after he swallowed.

"What?"

"The kind I just put in your wine."

"You're joking! Tell me you're joking!"

I simply smiled and shrugged. "Sorry."

"But you said you were friends with the Doctor!"

"I am. Depending on when you meet him, I'm his wife."

"Are we talking about the same Doctor?"

"The one who hates violence? Yes. Now, down to business," I said putting my arms on the table. "Your vortex manipulator for the Calisto Pulse?"

"Yes, yes! Bring it back out here." The guard brought it back out again, this time without the hand attached and gave it me. I quickly put it on. Before giving both earrings to Dorium. Once he had deactivated the explosives, he leaned back in his chair. "You, Dr. Song, are not what I was expecting."

"No one ever expects me."

"Yes, but a doctor of archaeology and a friend of the Doctor. I was expecting someone more sensible."

"Oh sensibility is no fun. And I'm a girl who likes to have a good time."

"And you've decided to spread your fun throughout time and space?" he questioned.

"It's a benefit, but not the reason," I admitted. "The Doctor is trouble. His TARDIS has been depicted exploding, and I refuse to let that happen. I have to warn him."

"Why in heaven's name do you need a vortex manipulator?"

"Have you tried to get the Doctor's attention before? He doesn't answer his phone."

"What are you going to do? Kill someone?" Dorium seemed a little concerned that I might.

"No need to do that again. I don't really want to add on to my sentence in Stormcage." I saw his blue skin go pale.

"Dr. Song, how are you out of Stormcage?"

"I'm very clever. Besides, I always go back eventually," I assured him. I finished my glass of wine before bidding Dorium goodbye, before I sauntered out of the bar with my new vortex manipulator on my arm.

I realized that I needed a something that would draw the Doctor's attention. I racked my brain for about an hour before a detail from my doctoral studies came to the surface. On Planet One there was a message that no one could translate. The oldest message in the universe, that would attract the Doctor's attention. I quickly placed in my coordinates, and was gone.

When I got to the diamond cliff of Planet One, I was a little thankful that there was nothing there. It seemed as if I was meant to write this. I thought for a moment, before figuring out the perfect message. Once I had the message, I pulled out one of my laser guns and began to write out the message on the cliff. I wrote it out the message in Rongorongo, the written language from Easter Island. I wrote out a simple message he would know was from me and the same coordinates that the painting gave. And then I followed the coordinates myself.
