Author Note: I hope I don't disappoint with this present. Merry Christmas. Oh and Happy Hanukah. And…something/something Kwanza! Wahoo!

What's better? The fact that we (the readers and I) have made it to fifty chapters, or the fact that this story has gotten 1,000 reviews?

"I still can't believe he is letting me do this!" I squealed through the excitement.

Just yesterday my plan had began. I was so tired of being locked up. And it didn't help that I was as pale as a ghost. I use to call myself pale in California. But I swear that I would have looked tanner than Snooki compared to my current color.

Jedidiah and I had been arguing for days, but I hadn't been really committed to my goal. But it changed when I woke up this morning. Suddenly I had to have my dream come true.

"She is already fourteen months old! She hasn't even seen sunlight yet! Do you know how many experiences she is missing out on?" I yelled.

"Chloe, rules are rules." He said still involved with his paperwork.

"Jedidiah. I have been here for twenty two months. In that entire time, not a single threat has been made there or here." I argued.

"Who's to say it wouldn't happen the second you got home?" He urged.

I sighed. I was getting frustrated but I was surely not giving up.

"I am the Uniter." I said.

"Yes, but you are not Queen Elizabeth and you are not going to get your way." He reminded.

"I'm not saying that! I am just saying that I am the Uniter and I was born to unite the Mai and the Humans." I told him.

"Oh, that's what you're for." He said sarcastically.

When I first came here, I could have sworn that nobody had ever even heard of sarcastic humor. But I rubbed off on them and they now used it against me.

"My point is that I'm not doing my job! How can you ever expect me to unite when I can't even go outside?" I yelled.

"Chloe, how many times do we have to have these arguments before you realize I'm right?" he asked.

"What if we make an agreement?" I proposed.

"An agreement?" He asked.

"An agreement." I confirmed.

He set down his papers and looked me straight in the air.

"Like what?" he asked.

"Well, I could…I could take Adam with me." I said quite proud of myself.

"What would I gain from that?" He asked confused.

"Your son's happiness!" I smiled. "And, you would get his feedback on other Prides that might help you in some….some Pride development-ness or something." I said, hoping I was affecting him in some way.

"I'll only let you go for a few weeks to see how things work out." He sighed.

I was so ecstatic that I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs. After all this time he was finally letting me go home!

"BUT!" He started cutting my happiness off. "At the end of the month, if I don't think it is safe enough, you are all to come home. No whining about it. You'll come home. And if you disagree or try to stay, you will be sedated and brought back. Do you understand?" He said.

I jumped up and hugged him while screaming my thank yous.

"Us. I can't believe he is letting us do this." Adam corrected me.

"Is this your only time leaving the palace?" I asked him.

"Besides that hour when I got to pick you up from the airport. But then I was only in a car and the building. It wasn't anything like this." He said.

"Are you liking the plane ride so far?" I asked him.

He seemed to constantly stare out the window, amazed at the view.

"As of now, yes. But I have a feeling that this is not going to be anything like the next four weeks." He said.

"You haven't seen anything yet." I smiled. "I hope the next four weeks don't fly by." I sighed.

"Only if we are having fun." He reminded.

This made me laugh so I turned to him to shoot some sarcastic comment his way.

"We will have so much fun that you will lack sleep. And eventually you'll get tired of having fun." I said.

He smiled.

"Adawm!" An excited little girl called from the seat in between us.

"Yes?" He asked her.

"Fun! Fun!" She begged.

Adam tickled her and she laughed.

"Shh!" I hushed. "People are looking at you!" I laughed.

A little while later the flight attendant came on the overhead speaker.

"Please fasten your seatbelts and remain seated. The plane will be landing shortly." She said in a tone that was a little too friendly.

"Guess what! We are about to get off the plane!" I excited my little girl.

"Pwane, pwane!" She yelled.

"So, Chloe. Where are we going first?" Adam asked.

There was no way that I was ready to face my old Pride just yet. I wanted to start off small. A human. But I didn't know exactly what my mom knew. And I didn't know what kind of terms we were on.

Before I saw her I needed to learn what kind of lie the Mai told her, and the rest of the school for starters.

"Do you mind if we stop by Amy's house?" I asked.

"Are you sure you want me to come?" He asked.

"Yes. You do know that you are pretty bad at the whole I-am-the-Uniter's-protector-and-I-need-to-make-sure-she-is-constantly-safe thing, right?" I said.

He laughed and then he smiled.

I wouldn't say that my only job this next month was to convince Jedidiah that San Francisco was safe. I'd also have to make sure Adam has a good time.

The plane landed and we waited anxiously to be dismissed into the airport.

Nobody anywhere knew that we were here. Only a few select people from back at the Palace.

Last night I told Chiles I was leaving. It was so sad that I felt my heart melting.

"Chiles, I am going back to California." I said.

She stared at me.

"I'm leaving tomorrow morning." I added.

"Why!" She demanded to know.

She was already so upset that I didn't even want to add that I was taking Adam with me.

"Chiles, it's my home." I said softly.

She hugged me as she cried into my shirt.

"No, Chloe. This is your home. I am part of your home." She said through her tears.

I sat with her and rubbed her back while she finished crying.

"Chiles, we have to go. There are people that miss and love me." I said.

"You are coming back right?" She asked.

I was about to answer her when Adam walked in.

"So, Chloe told you we are leaving tomorrow, huh?" He said sadly.

"You are leaving too?" She started to cry again.

"I hadn't really gotten to that part yet," I said.

"Oops." He apologized.

Chiles hadn't been too excited about the whole idea. At all.

After we got off the plane, we headed over to baggage claim.

Adam and I collected our bags.

"How much did you pack?" He complained.

"It's mostly Pyper's stuff. Like her clothes and bibs and toys." I said.

"She didn't need these toys. You could have just bought new toys when we got here." He argued.

I turned to Pyper.

"Pyp, do you want your old toys?" I asked.

"Twoys!" She yelled excited.

I turned to Adam.

"That's not fair!" He smiled.

Pyper began to clap in excitement.

"Fine! Fine, I give up. You girls win." He sighed and continued to collect our bags.

When we found them all, he looked at them.

"We have to take all of these to the apartment?" He moaned.

"Not when you live in California." I said.

He looked confused.

"Do you see that desk?" I asked while I pointed to the nearby desk. "We give it to them and they deliver it. Of course we have to pay, but it's easier." I said.

"You fancy, rich, spoiled California girls." He teased.

"You can carry it to the car if you want to." I said.

He shot me a glare and then began to drag the luggage to the counter.

After everything was handed over, we went to catch a cab.

Adam walked out and attempted to flag one down, to no avail.

"You're doing it wrong." I called.

He walked back over to me.

"How am I getting a cab the wrong way?" he sighed defeated.

"Here," I said handing him Pyper. "Watch me." I said.

I went to the curb and stuck my hand in the air. I walked out in front of a cab and opened the door. I then turned around to usher them to follow me.

As Adam brought Pyper to me, I saw him shaking his head.

I looked out the window as we were driven to Amy's house. I missed this place so much that I wanted to squeal every time I saw a familiar building, which was often.

It was about a week and a half after Christmas, and the early January snow was falling.

When the car stopped at Amy's, we got out.

I was still kind of scared for her reaction. What if she was mad at me for not calling? It wasn't like I had a choice seeming as I set off alarms with every attempt.

I shook off my worry. Amy was my best friend. She isn't going to hate me.

I walked up to the door. Adam held Pyper off to the side. We didn't want to give Amy an immediate heart attack.

I prepared myself before knocking on the cold wooden door. I waited for a good minute after. This was a really hard thing to do, and if she wasn't home I was going to be upset.

Finally I heard someone approach the door. The handle turned and the door swung open. In the doorway stood a girl that once knew all of my secrets and whom I trusted my lives.

Amy looked the same as she had when I left, but just a little more mature. She still had the same sense of style, but with a little bit more of an edge to it.

She stood frozen in the doorway staring at me, trying to figure out if she was dreaming.

I stood awkwardly in front of her, letting her give me a good look through.

Finally I heard the voice that I had missed for so long.

"Chloe?" She whispered.

Author Note: Do you guys like the name? Oh and I have a complaint. First I had people threatening to stop reading if I didn't speed things up. Now I have people doing the same if I don't slow things down?

I'm not trying to sound mean, but I already have planned the next couple chapters. Your threats won't affect me. If you don't like the way I right MY story you don't have to read it. I'd love it if you kept reading, but I don't plan on rewriting all my ideas just so you're happy. I have tons of readers that want tons of things. Nobody can get what they want all the time.

Honestly, have you ever read a story/article/book where every single thing went your way?

No, you haven't. So stop complaining about my story. I appreciate criticism not threats.

If you want to talk about threats take this one…

Review or I'll end it here. Fifty chapters is enough, right?
