We have done it! We have passed 50 chapters!
Izuku: Are we running out of things to celebrate? Cause I don't see it as a big milestone.
We are running out of things to put before the chapters, I'm just trying to do my best to keep up the traditions!
Izuku: Why did we even start with this?
Cause that way, we can fill in a few words and paragraphs, making our story seem a slight bit longer than it actually is. You see that 190K word count? Well about 10K of that are author's notes!
Izuku: That still makes our story a 180K story, which is pretty damn long in fanfiction standards.
I know, but I want my stories to have more personality to it, sort of making a "self aware" squad that is sort of relevant to the story.
Izuku: Sort of relevant? Unless we actually appear in the story, I don't see how we can be so relevant.
I don't either, I just wanted to trick you into talking more to fill that word count.
Izuku: Author! You son of a-
Yes! Keep going! Keep this up and we will have 500 words filled.
Izuku: ... I'm out!
Class A were paired in teams of four, sans one, who was forced to be three due to there only being 19 students, going against each other in Ground Gamma. In the presented scenario, a group of villains just escaped from jail and the heroes tracked them down to an abandoned factory. The villain team must escape the factory, similar to the first semester's final exam, while the heroes must return them back to their cells. Above all this stood Aizawa and Shigaraki, both carefully observing how the students were gonna perform.
"You gotta be kidding me! There's no way they'd let a villain into U.A! This has got to be some sort of joke!" Sero asked with a great amount of rejection.
"A hero must be used to change. If we were truly to believe that a villain will remain a villain, then Midoriya would be right about us." Aizawa explained, as he set up the teams, "He is still out there, planning his next move. So if we are going to stop him, then we can at the very least prove him wrong while doing it."
Suddenly, Shigaraki came up, slapping the pen out of Aizawa's hand.
"If you are going to prearrange the teams, then you're doing a lousy job." Said the reformed Villain, "First of all, remove the pink girl from tape-arm's team, and replace her with midget in a diaper."
"My class, my decisions." Aizawa replied.
"Well you might need to rethink those decisions." Responded Shigaraki, "First of all, Pink Girl's acid doesn't really bode well with tape, as the two aren't very compatible. However, with the midget's sticky balls, you can combine the strength of the tape and the adhesiveness of the balls to create a perfect lasso. I suggest putting the pink girl with Pikachu-boy. Assuming her acid is a conductor, which it probably is, this can lead to some clever traps, combining slippery puddles with electricity. I mean, we've seen her sliding around on the stuff, so it's logical to assume that she can somehow dilute her acid to lessen it's acidity, as well as boost it's conductibility, allowing for a follow-up combo with the yellow hair guy."
He then went on to scribble over Aizawa's notes.
"I suggest you separate Katsuki with Bird Face, as his shadow quirk won't bode well in light, instead, but him with more physically strong students, like fish-lips kid or Kirishima. Bird Face can then use his shadow to armor them, boosting their defense and making up for their low mobility..."
Shigaraki eventually finished, completely redoing the teams.
"The teams ended up completely different from what I planned!" Aizawa complained.
"Trust me, it's for the better!"
The first match was between team villains (Todoroki, Hagakure and Yaoyorozu) and Team heroes (Tokoyami, Shoji, Kirishima and Sato).
As the match started, Todoroki immediately put up an ice wall, cutting off any and all routes the enemy team could have taken. Momo was told to create flashlights, in order to combat Dark Shadow in case they get separated. However, before they got any further, black arms came launching at them from both sides.
"Dark Shadow!? But how?! How can it be so powerful already!?" Todoroki yelled out in confusion, shooting one of the arms with fire, allowing the arm to pull back, only to realize that Kirishima was hiding in it.
"Surprise!" Yelled the student, nailing him across the face.
The hit caused him to stagger, allowing for the other hand to grab him. Igniting his left side, he was able to shake off the shadows, only to realized Sato was hiding in the other hand, and now had him in a headlock. Attempting to break free, Todoroki amplified the flames erupting from his left, causing Sato to let go. But in doing so, he emitted flames that were so bright, it allowed Kirishima to detect Hagakure. As the student grabbed the girl, Todoroki realized his mistake, and turned his attention to Hagakure, attempting to freeze Sato first. This allowed Dark Shadow to come in, grabbing both Kirishima and Hagakure and pulling them away.
"Hagakure!" Momo yelled out, chains sprouting out of her body to try and lasso her back. But the chains were swatted away by Kirishima as the two were pulled out of sight.
Back with the spectators, Aizawa stood in awe, amazed by Shigaraki's ingenuity: He used Shoji's big size to completely cover up Tokoyami, similar to what he had done with Tsuyu and Mineta in the sports festival, and within the darkness of his arms, powered up Dark Shadow enough to extend his gigantic arms out much farther than usual, allowing for long ranged attacks in an otherwise range-lacking group.
But it didn't stop there.
As soon as Hagakure was caught, Todoroki and Momo scrambled for the exit. Then network of pipes allowed easy maneuverability for Todoroki, but he knew that if he activated One For All in there, he would be leaving Momo behind. However, the black arms of Dark Shadow came rushing in again, and this time, they were aimed for Momo.
The girl activated her quirk, releasing several flashbangs, expelling the two arms, and exposing Kirishima and Sato. Todoroki saw an opening, and delivered a 20% punch to Kirishima's guts.
"Hah! You've got try than that!" Kirishima grunted, activating his unbreakable form.
Now the plan was all clear. By having Dark Shadow around, it restricted Todoroki from using any ice attacks. This means that his only bet is to use fire and one for all to keep dark shadow at bay. But Sato and Kirishima were making sure to keep the two from making it towards Tokoyami, hidden safely within Shoji's defense. This must have been the reason why Shigaraki put them together, which brought up the question, why have him and Momo put together?
Looking back at Momo, he saw her, struggling to hold back Sato, who was trying his damn hardest to not harm her too much. The buff student smashed through every shield Momo had to make. But when Todoroki tries to help her, Kirishima jumps in. His fire was the only this keeping Dark Shadow away, meaning that in order to win, he had to find a way to activate all three quirk simultaneously.
"You dumbass!" A voice was heard as Todoroki tried to focus and use all both of his quirks, "Stop relying on yourself and try leaning on your teammate!"
He recognized that voice, it was Shigaraki. The guy everyone described to be a man-child was giving HIM advice. At first, this disgusted him, but then, he realized that he was right. They weren't gonna hold for much longer, so he had to act quick, and he literally had every means to do so sitting right in front of him.
"Momo! Quickly, make another flashbang!"
The female student was barely able to accomplish his request, and in a flash, blinded both Sato and Kirishima. Todoroki then erected another ice wall, a much smaller one but still enough to slow the two down. Grabbing Momo and running back into hiding, they took a moment to catch their breath.
"Damn, All Might wasn't kidding, Shigaraki's really good at this." Todoroki commented, before turning to Momo, "You got a plan?"
The student nodded.
"When you threw up that first wall, the must have found us since you ended up giving away our position. However, keep in mind that When they grabbed Hagakure, they pulled her back using Dark Shadow, meaning that they whoever gets grabbed with be sent closer to the source."
"So in other words, they are trying to pick us off one by one, since having too many opponents near the ranged units will be too risky." Todoroki deduced.
Dark arms thrashed across the maze of pipes, like tendrils.
"We don't have long until they find us again, what do we do?" Asked Todoroki.
Suddenly, Momo opened her jacket, revealing her chest, as she began to create something huge.
Kirishima and Sato scouted for the two remaining students.
"Any sign of them yet?" Asked Sato.
Sudden, two cloaked figured ran off a few feet away from Kirishima.
"Found them!" He yelled. Suddenly, A giant black arm flew in, engulfing Kirishima as they zoomed towards the two.
"One of you is probably use a light source to dispel the arm, in which case, I'll leap right onto Momo, then Sato will attack Todoroki from behind while he's distracted, catching both of them!" Thought Kirishima, only to realize they weren't attacking, "Not fighting back? Alright then..."
The black arm snatched the taller one of the two slamming her into the pipes multiple times to make sure she was limp unconscious. Then another one came in, barraging the other cloaked figure and trapping him too. The two were pulled back towards Shoji and Tokoyami.
"Good work dark shadow!" Congratulated Tokoyami, as they made their way towards the cells.
But something felt off. Then captive in his right arm didn't feel right. Opening it, the entire team was lead into shock: The one in the right hand was a dummy, one with several flashbangs strapped onto it. As the bombs exploded point blank on Tokoyami, freeing Todoroki on the left hand, the student then unleashed the full power of his ice side, freezing all four of them.
"Damn... well played..." Uttered Kirishima, "BUT NOT WELL PLAYED ENOUGH!"
Suddenly, with his remaining strength, Sato rushed in before Todoroki could regulate his body heat, smashing him into his own glacier, barraging him until the ice behind him shattered. But by then, a ringing was heard, as Momo had reached the exit.
"Momo has reached the exit, hence, the villains have won!" Aizawa announced, with amazement apparent in his voice.
As medical bots entered to retrieve the injured students, All Might turned to Aizawa.
"What did I tell ya?"
Aizawa sighed, letting out an annoyed grunt.
"I hate to admit it, but the guy's got a lot more to him than I originally though." Aizawa grumbled, "Although..."
He turned to Shigaraki.
"Teaching isn't an easy thing, so how the hell are you capable of it?" He asked.
"The methods I'm using were the same methods my Sensei use to train me. I'm just re-applying them, now if you please, the second match is about to start."
As the second match begun, Aizawa was more focused on Shigaraki than he was on his students. The fact that he was actually doing a better job than him was a bit infuriating, but also fascinating.
"Perhaps... I misjudged you, Shigaraki..."
Out of the movie theater came what most people sees as just an everyday family, bringing their daughter out for a movie night, when in reality, the "ordinary family" was composed of Japan's most dangerous criminals, with the least dangerous little girl walking alongside them.
"I'm amazed you found a movie all of us can enjoy, Kurogiri." Izuku commented, "Especially since Toga's with us."
"What do you mean by that?" Toga pouted.
"I dunno, it's just pretty surprising that someone who enjoys murder and gore as much as you would like "Spirited Away" so much."
"Cute things." Toga corrected, "I like cute things! Covering them in blood just makes it cuter in my opinion."
"So... You would like Eri better if I cut her?" Asked Izuku jokingly.
"Izuku! That's terrible!" Toga yelled out like a concerned mother.
"Relax, she's asleep." Izuku laughed, caressing her.
"You of all people to say that..." Muttered Kurogiri, chuckling.
While the group headed back to their hideout, a very odd fellow approached the exact same theater.
"Hey, are you sure this is a good time to rob the place?" Asked a female voice.
"Of course! Theaters are at their most spectacular at night time, now, start recording La Brava!" The man said, pulling out a butterfly knife, "For it's time for the Gentle Criminal to strike!"
"Argh! Why are your view counts still stagnating!? You were so awesome out there, Gentle!" Cried a frustrated young girl, dressed in a pompous outfit that was also as ridiculous as the man she was talking too.
"I suspected as much." Gentle replied, clumsily pouting his tea all over his outfit, with only 20% of it actually going into the cup, "My fans have grown tired of me."
"Tired? That can't be right! You are Gentle! The coolest, more amazing villain of all time!" She protested.
She then started stomping furiously.
"Damn it! It's Mightless isn't it!? That brutish nobody that suddenly showed up on the news. All of a sudden, everyone's talking about him! All of your fans, following the mainstream like a bunch of sheep! But you're so much better! It's not fair! Not fair! NOT FAIR!"
"Ah, so you heard of him too." Gentle took a sip of his tea, "But you shouldn't be bad mouthing him. After all, I am what you might call a bit of a fan of him myself."
"What!? No way! You have have him as your idol!?"
"Everyone has an idol, my dear La Brava. Even the ruthless Hero Killer Stain is revealed to have idolized All Might. But he is simply too bland for my taste, too simple, and violent, like any other villain. But Mightless, he is different! He has a certain charm that other villains don't possess. An element of tragedy to give reason to his anger, and a human edge to him that will make us all understand the reasons behind his violent actions. And yet, for him to remain composed enough to think, to have it in him to fight against the law for the sake of making it better. Truly, a modern gladiator!"
"Now that you put it that way..."
"Stain may have the same goals, but lacks originality in execution. I strived to find a way to differ myself to the average criminal, and yet, failed to generate more tremor than Stain. For a young lad to take the path I have took an gained true glory from it is truly worthy of praise and admiration."
"So true!" La Brava replied with beady eyes.
"Hence, I have been inspired by him! I have now been enlightened, and guided to the path of true success. My execution is different, but my targets are far too small." Gentle explained, striding across the room in a sort of graceful way, "So I have decided: Out next target shall be U.A's Culture Festival! A true act of villainy. Once all is said and done, we will be seen as legendary!"
Two weeks have passed, and now, the Culture Festival has begun with explosive colors. Of course, with two weeks worth of planning time, Izuku and co were able to lay out a perfect plan not to get caught. Luckily, Sachi, Irina and Yeong are not known criminals, in fact, not even the Heroes know about their involvement with the league. So they are able to go out and wander freely. As for everyone else that was showing up, Twice can easily blend in since he no longer needs to wear his mask, while Toga can simply disguise herself.
The hardest ones to disguise were Spinner, Dabi and Kurogiri, but with enough long trench coats, shades, face masks, all of different colors, and making sure they keep their distance from each other, they were perfectly in the clear.
Izuku's biggest concern was with Eri. Currently, him and Toga are taking Eri to see this huge concert Class A threw together, meaning that he was gonna be right in front of every student from U.A that knows him from head to toe. Something was going to go haywire, he could just feel it. Luckily, the concert hasn't started yet, so they decided to check out some of the other activities.
"Izuku! Izuku!" Eri tugged nervously on his sleeve, over there.
She was pointing at a big teddy bear at the shooting gallery. She clearly wanted it. the group went up to the front. The sign said "Shoot Down the spaceship and pick a prize (No Quirks Allowed)"
Buying 5 pellets, Izuku loaded his gun, and shot. The first shot proved tricky, as the ball went over the spaceship. Of course, he wasn't trying to hit the shit, just deducing how far the gun shot the pellet. Having the calculations down, he needed to make sure they weren't being scammed, and that the spaceship can actually be knocked down.
However, upon firing the second round, the bullet seemed to have changed course, and instead hit the side of the ship. It was obvious now, the cashier was cheating. Shooting another round, the same thing happened, only this time, the bullet bounced off the walls and hit him instead. The cashier let out a chuckle, which seemed to piss off the boy.
"Hey! I thought you said no quirks were allowed!" Izuku complained.
"What? Are you implying that I'm a scam?" The cashier asked, clearly feigning his surprise.
"Then what do you call this!?" Izuku shot the bullet again, and once more, it veered off it's course and missed, "You are clearly cheating."
"Don't put your blame on me kiddo!" The cashier grunted, staring at him with his menacing brown eyes, which matched his puffy hair, "You might regret it."
"I can report this to your manager, you know!" Izuku argued.
"Go ahead, but first, you still have one more bullet." The cashier said in a provocative tone, "Who know's maybe your aim won't be so shit this time!"
He grunted as he fired the last round, only this time, the unforgivable happened. The bullet veered off it's course, bounced off the wall, and the speed doubled as it zoomed past Izuku, hitting Eri on the forehead.
"Eri!" Toga cried out as Eri rubbed the red mark the bullet left.
"Oh my! Won't you look at that! This is one for the ages! How about you stay a mile away from that little bitch next time you play here? You might hurt her again!" Laughed the cashier.
Hearing this, anger boiled up within Toga, but was quickly drowned out with concern when she turned to Izuku. His eyes were covered my the shadows of his hair, and from the looks of it, if someone doesn't stop him soon, he's going on another rampage.
"Hey now, don't be a sore loser! Here, have a consolation prize." He said, pulling out a band-aid, "Don't play anymore though, this is my only band-aid and I'm afraid that if you play again, you won't have enough to cover up all the bruises you left on that little girl!"
"WHAT DID YOU-"
"Stop!" A sudden tug was felt as Eri stopped him, "It wasn't your fault!"
Then, the little girl hopped onto the counter. It wasn't easy due to her size, but she was eventually able to make the top of her head and her eyes visible by going on his toes.
"Mr Cashier, I'm sorry my big brother's a bad aim, so please stop bullying him..." She said with a voice beaming with childhood innocence.
The sudden behavior coming from her caught the guy off guard, as he unexpectedly blushed.
"Uh... Okay... but you got to know that your big brother was the one who hurt you!" The cashier replied nervously as he gave Izuku a mean glare.
"It's my fault I got hurt. I just wanted a teddy bear, but my big brother had such poor aim that he ended up hurting me, so it's my fault." Eri cried, tears flowing down her beady eyes, "So please stop bullying him! He's nice, I swear..."
"Fuck It."
Suddenly, the cashier ran up and handed her the teddy bear, along with some candied apples and every other prize he could get his hands on, passing them to Eri.
"There! I'm so sorry!" He cried, "I promised my little sister I would keep the giant teddy bear for her, but we only had one in stock."
"You have a little sister too?" Asked Eri.
"Yeah... a little older than you, actually." The cashier said, in a guilty tone, "I'm sorry I hurt you."
However, Eri then gave the teddy bear back to him.
"Keep it for your sister." Eri said generously, "We'll keep the rest."
"Thank you..." The cashier muttered, "Now please, kindly leave..."
As the two finished their short conversation, Izuku stood, jaw agape.
"Izuku, are you alright?" Asked Eri, looking at his shocked expression.
"Y-yeah... I'm fine... Let's go Toga..." He said.
Toga didn't respond.
"Toga?"
"O-Oh yeah! Yeah! Let's- uh... Let's go..."
"She's so pure!" The two though in unison as they blushed at her cuteness, while she was gnawing on her candied apple.
It was then that Eri's cuteness was revealed to be the most effective weapon yet. As the three stacked up prizes after prized, all won over thanks to Eri's cuteness. Eventually, the three made their way towards the auditorium, were the concert was being hosted, all the while carrying carrying several bags worth of stuff animals, key chains, candy, snacks, figurines, T-shirts, Hats and other small toys and gadgets. Having a massive bag of goodies blocking his face, Izuku was able to get pass the ticket booth with minimal suspicion.
They had a super close call with Present Mic and Aizawa, but luckily, the room was too dark for the two to notice who they were. Even Eri with her unusual hair color which contrasted the darkness was not enough to peek the teacher's attention, who still was unable to get over the fact that they had a former villain in U.A that was just as skilled in teaching as him.
The lights dimmed, as the curtains opened, revealing Jiro at the front as the main singer. Suddenly, Katsuki, who was the drummer broke the silence.
"LET'S FUCKING GO!"
"Typical..."
Like the sound of a starting pistol, the band kicked off the song with an explosive entrance, both figuratively and literally. The dance team was perfectly choreographed, making sure their movements matches the tone of the music.
"THANK YOU ALL FOR COMING!" Greeted Jiro with her booming voice, leading to the opening verse.
(Author's note: Insert any rock music you want, and let your imagination do the rest.)
A sudden glacier erupted from below Aoyama, launching him into the air as he fired beams of shining light from every direction thanks to his costume. the shining lights gave out the effects of a human firework.
"I've never seen anyone use fireworks indoors, impressive..." Thought Izuku, "Although, I bit short for a finale..."
However, looking at Eri, she seemed to be enjoying the concert way more than him. From the looks of it, she could hardly contain her excitement. And while Izuku was happy about this, he also prayed to any lord he knew that she wouldn't accidentally activate her quirk by accident.
Just then, almost on queue, right as the true grand finale was about to drop, the support beams of the building came crashing down on the band. This sudden unexpected turn of events put the crowd in a state of shock, as well as the students, some of which ended up caught below the support beams. The crowd was in panic, as wild chattering of whether this was staged or not flooded the room. Aizawa and Mic scrambled, trying to keep order in the building. Suddenly, a familiar voice was heard talking through a microphone as the speakers were seemingly hijacked.
"Isn't this just saddening?" Asked the unknown voice, "The supposed "Most Secure School" in Japan, broken in during such a meaningful festival."
Suddenly, a man dress in a suit with excessively over sized collars, making look like a steampunk cosplayer, came flying down the ceiling, as the metallic support beams he landed on were turned to rubber to break his fall, allowing him to bounce off and do a flip, bowing down to the confused crowd.
"Of course, such a feat could only have been done by one man..." He said, revealing his face to the public, "The Modern Chivalrous Villain: Gentle!"
"Kyaaaa! So cool!" Squealed a girlish voice that followed his speech.
"Gentle!? As in that villain who posts all of his criminal activities online in hopes of fame?!" Asked Aizawa, "What is he doing there!?"
Izuku, however, didn't seem amused by the unwelcome guest, as he saw the Eri's initial smile was turned into disappointment. Seeing this, the rage he had pent up inside him was about to blow.
"Toga, hold Eri for me please." He excused his partner.
"Izuku? Where are you going?" Asked the blond haired girl, currently disguised as a slightly chubbier brunette.
No answer. Instead, he walked up on stage while Gentle was too busy absorbing all the glory. Some of the crowd noticed.
"Hey who's that?" Whispered one of the guys.
"I dunno, a hero maybe?"
Izuku ignored the chattering, as he walked up aggressively to the party crasher.
"Oh? Who might you be? A fan perhaps?" Asked Gentle.
"Eri was having so much fun until you showed up..." Izuku grunted.
Suddenly, without warning, he punched the eccentric villain across the face. The crowd gasped as the man went flying back several feet.
"YOU RUINED HER DAY!"
Some of the class A students saw this, and froze, recognizing the voice.
"Oh, an angry father huh?" Gentle retorted, getting back up, "And who might you be?"
Suddenly, Izuku's trench coat came flying off, revealing his identity to the public.
"The Prince of The Criminal Underworld, The heir to the Dark Throne, The holder of All For One and a true villain..." Izuku grinned, posing almost as stoically as Gentle, "I am Mightless!"
