I'm alive! Please love this short chapter and review! I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while!
Over the next few days, Gingka watched Kuro's team, her words of how she described her team echoing through his head.
Mikeala... What is her story? Yuu found her file in the database and it's locked. Gingka thought, watching the dark haired woman as she laughed at something Ryuga had said. Ryuto was frowning at them, but Gingka could see a smile in his eyes.
The redhead shifted his eyes to where Bao, Chris, Nile were going over possible locations where Nero could be hidden- which was every property Davida Gambol owned.
Kuro's right. Gingka mused, looking over at Chris' desk, He does have a lot cases to choose from. How does he know which one to choose?
And then of course, there were the Tategami's. They were currently interviewing Damian and Davida. And, thinking about Kyoya, his file didn't have much on it except that he was dangerous with any weapon. And Kakeru, just as deadly with wires and outlets and bombs.
And then... there was his father, Gingka mused, thinking back on when he and Ryuga were teenagers. Now that he thought about it and recalled what Kuro had said, about his father favoring Ryuga over his own son, it all made sense. Why Ryo had always trained Ryuga more than he did Gingka. Why he hardly paid any attention to Gingka no matter what he did. Why no matter the successes, Ryuga always seemed to be the better one.
Gingka inhaled, then exhaled, checking his temper.
I'll talk to dad later, Gingka thought, Right now, someone's life is at stake.
"Ugh, finally!" Lucas groaned as he walked into the apartment, "Home! I'm getting sick of the hospital!"
"Maybe if you stopped getting kidnapped all the time..." Wales trailed off when Lucas turned to give him an icy glare, "Never mind."
"Hey, do you know if they've found anything out about Nero?" Lucas called as he walked into the living room. A few seconds the sound of the TV filtered through the apartment.
"No. Haven't found a single lead yet." Wales responded.
"Fuck." Lucas swore.
"Hey, language!" Wales snapped.
"Whatever. Hey, I know you probably don't want to, but do you think we can go down to Kuro's office later?"
"What for?"
"I want to talk to Kuro. I might be able to help."
Wales sighed, "Fine. We'll go after lunch."
"Luke, what are you doing here?" Kuro asked in shock, but when the redhead didn't respond, she turned to Wales with a raised eyebrow, "Should he even be out, after just getting out of the hospital?"
Wales shook his head, "No. But he was insistent about coming down here with the fact he might be able to help."
"Well, we sure could use it. We've been over everything a hundred times, we've interviewed both Damian and Davida. Nothing." Kuro sighed.
"Let me interview Davida." Lucas suddenly said.
All heads and eyes turned to the redhead.
"No, no, no, no." Wales shook his head, "Are you crazy?! You're asking for a mental or emotional breakdown, you know that?! And when we go to court, the defense can say you were unstable! T- they'll use everything they can against you!"
"Bro, I may be crazy, but if you look around this room," Lucas guestured with his arm, "You'll note that all the best people are."
