Note: I do not own any of these characters….except Ardesind. But he's only here a bit. R&R! I'm just having some fun trying my had at FanFic!

Alright I know I promised some of you an upload last night but I was helping one of my professors with a prenatal massage demo and I didn't get home until really REALLY late. So, here it is. It's sort of an important filler chapter. Lots of things will be taken care of.

Reviews and messages are appreciated! Thank you so much to all of you who subscribe and/or favorite :) It makes me feel good!

The Doctor was in the back of the Tardis fiddling with things for no reason.

His love was dead and he was stuck. There was nothing he could do.

Suddenly, the Tardis began making odd noises and the alarms started going off.

He snapped out of his thoughts and ran back to the console room.

"What is it old girl? What's the matter?"

The alarms stopped suddenly and the scanner turned back on.

He fought back tears as he saw his wife, laying there.

Then suddenly, he saw her move a little.

"River?"

He couldn't believe it. She was alive!

"Move again, love. Come on! For me? Please, River...Please."

He stared at the screen, not able to blink for fear he'd miss something.

Nothing was happening. She was motionless.

Maybe I just imagined it...the Doctor thought.

He still couldn't take his eyes off the screen.

Amy entered the room with and sat on the bed next to River, watching her and leaning down to brush a stray curl out of her face.

"Hang in there, River. It's almost ready. Just...Don't die, please. Don't die again..." Amy whispered, tearfully.

River didn't respond. She was barely breathing and she had a fever.

Rory came in the room with a bowl of water and a rag.

"How is she?"

"Still the same." Amy answered sadly.

Rory handed her the cloth and set the bowl on the little table next to the bed.

He leaned down and hugged Amy.

"She'll be okay, Amy."

She nodded and began patting River's forehead with the wet cloth.

A few minutes later, Rory exited the room quietly and returned with a small plate of lasagna and a glass of water.

Amy took it from him, shaking a bit.

"Okay River. Please, let this work." she whispered as she picked up a piece with the fork and slid it into her daughter's mouth.

Nothing happened for a minute.

Rory and Amy began to doubt again but just as they thought all hope was lost, River exhaled.

A stream of the yellow light flowed from her mouth as she did and Amy smiled.

"She's going to be okay!" she said, relief washing over she and Rory.

"Come on then, let's let her sleep."

Rory gathered up the bowl and rag and led his wife out of the room.

An hour later, Amy and Rory were in the kitchen, enjoying some of the lasagna themselves and discussing the events of the past couple hours.

"So how do you think she did it? Came alive again, I mean. She can't have regenerated, right? She doesn't have any regenerations left."

Rory didn't have time to respond.

All the sudden there was a crash from down the hall, followed by the sound of their daughter swearing. "Mum? Dad?"

They rushed in to see her, relieved that she was awake and everything was alright.

"River!" Amy cried, rushing to her and hugging her gently.

"How are you feeling?" Rory asked.

"What? I'm perfectly fine. Why do you ask?"

River looked confused at the way they were acting.

Amy pulled back and said, "Don't you remember? You bit that fruit and died. Then you were alive and really sick...Then you nearly died again but we gave you pasta like you said and now you're okay!"

"I died?" she asked, still confused a little.

"Yeah. Gave us quite the scare. But how do you feel?" said Rory

River thought for a minute. She actually felt pretty good, considering. She was a bit sick to her stomach but otherwise...

Oh, that was me. I'm sorry!

River froze.

What was that?

It was me. Down here!

River looked down. No one was there. She started shaking a little, confusion and fear finding their way to the surface.

Oh don't be scared, mum.

River nearly fell off the bed with shock.

"Mum?" she whispered out loud.

Amy and Rory looked at her, confused. "River?"

She ignored them as she heard more words filling her mind.

You're my mum! That's what I call you. Perfectly normal, I think, but If you'd rather I call you something else I can...

River looked down. Strait down.

It was her baby.

Someway, somehow, her baby was talking to her mind.
