As promised. It's 8.30pm, Sunday here so I am keeping my promise. Another chapter for the readers! Read and review please!
Both hands planted themselves against the wooden door on either side of Sakura, trapping her against her mate's body and the front door. Her hair was slightly mused by the wind he could hear howling outside and she was breathing irregularly like she had been running. Syaoran had been too consumed by panic and the bond had settled so naturally between them that he forgot to check on it when he couldn't find Sakura. He probed at their bond insistently now, letting her soothing assurances through the bond wash over him.
"What happened?" Syaoran snarled.
Sakura's shuddered as the warmth of the room slowly dispelled the wretched cold from her bones.
"I got us some breakfast." She shook the bag in what she hoped in a tempting manner. "Though I had hoped that you were still asleep when I got back."
Syaoran's eyes narrowed, closing the already limited space between them to loom over her.
"You went outside without me?" He tested the words against his tongue and found he didn't like it one bit.
Sakura rolled her eyes. "It was just to the deli around the corner and I ran the whole way there and the whole way back. It didn't even take fifteen minutes."
Sakura sighed when his expression didn't softened. She leaned just enough so that she can touch her forehead against his.
"I ran, Syaoran. People were looking at me like I'm crazy. Imagine me." She urged softly, eyes dancing.
"People look at you because you would look beautiful."
Syaoran ran his hand through her soft hair. He could imagine the strands fluttering in the wind when she ran and the soft tinkling laugh left behind when she realized how ridiculous she was being. Sakura closed her eyes against the contact and smiled shyly. Adorable when complimented, Syaoran filed the thought.
"You were tired and I did not want to wake you." Sakura said. "And I am hungry."
Syaoran brushed his nose against hers affectionately. His ire vanished when he heard her stomach growling.
Sakura winced and leaned to place a soft kiss on the base of his throat apologetically, knowing how worried he was when he couldn't find her. Syaoran searched their bond again to make sure she was really okay and Sakura sighed in content at the soft brush. He finally smiled and nuzzled into her hair, pressing his body against hers firmly to absorb any lingering cold. Sakura leaned against him gratefully
"I'll make some tea."
Hope you liked the fluff! Please review and tell me what you think! Until next time, reading addicts!
