Dustin bolted up right in an instant as the man entered the apartment.

"I thought you were heading strait to Japan after your meeting in San Diego" Dustin said very formally and nervously.

"I was planning on it but the strangest thing happened today" the man said looking around the apartment. "I got a call today on your direct line to me by some stranger that was in your apartment. I thought it must have just been some type of joke but I though I should come check in on you anyways" he said as he picked random objects up and examined them.

"I uh better go" Cody said nervously trying to get up quickly "it was nice to meet you sir." As Cody got up Dustin reached out and grabbed his pant leg pinching Cody's thigh. Cody stopped moving.

"Oh really dad that's strange indeed" Dustin said through a fake smile and gritted teeth as he twisted his hand causing Cody more pain. "I don't know why that would have happened"

"Yes I found it quite odd. He told me you were having trouble at school and proposed that I have you switched out, but I see I am being rude. You have a guest over and I have yet to introduce myself" Dustin's father said. He took a step towards Cody and toward over him. He extended his hand out. "Hello young man. You may call me Robert. You don't have to leave on my account this visit was unscheduled after all. Please have a seat"

"Yes Cody sit down. Maybe you could help us make sense of the strange call my father got today" Dustin said pinching him harder. Robert looked down at his watch.

"Unfortunately Dustin I have to cut our meeting short. I will be in town for a few days so we can sort this mess out before I leave for Japan. For now I have some calls I must take" he said before taking his leave. As soon as the elevator door shut Cody spoke up

"Can you let go of my leg now please" he squeaked.

"Why does it hurt" Dustin said through a menacing smile.

"Yes a actually. A lot"

"Good because it's only a fraction of what your going to feel" Dustin said letting Cody go "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU"

"I was just trying to help" Cody said innocently.

"YOU CALLED MY FATHER CODY. MY FATHER. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU CALL HIM" Dustin shouted.

"I thought maybe I could talk him into letting you switch schools" Cody said meekly.

"I told you no Cody. I told you it wasn't a good idea and you completely ignored me" Dustin shouted and turning his back to Cody. Cody went up to Dustin and tried to put his arms around him only to have them shaken off.

"I'm sorry I didn't know he'd show up here. I just wanted to talk to him" Cody said placing his hands on Dustin's shoulders. He started to rub them softly. He kissed Dustin on the cheek.

"You still shouldn't have done it. Now I have to put up with him for the next few days" Dustin groaned.

"I said I'm sorry" Cody said. Dustin looked at the clock and realized the time. It was already ten.

"What's done is done I guess. I'll just have to grin and bare it. I have a big day tomorrow thanks to you so I'm going to bed." Dustin said. Cody sat down on the couch and took off his shirt. "Oh no you get to sleep on the other couch tonight" Dustin said throwing a pillow over.

"What am I a husband being kicked out of his bed" Cody said jokingly.

"Yes" Dustin replied matter of factly.

Dustin's dad showed up early the next morning before Cody could step out. Just like the previous day Dustin put on a fake smile and greeted his dad.

"Hello sir. I was just leaving" Cody said as he headed for the elevator.

"Actually boy...Cody was it...before you leave I would like to speak with you" Cody saw Dustin flash a quick frown "actually if you wouldn't mind come take a ride with me" Robert said as he pushed Cody into the elevator before Dustin could protest. Cody was terrified, he wasn't sure what had just happened. As they entered into the lobby the lady greets them. Robert greeted back politely. As they entered the car Robert told the driver to drive around until he said to stop. As soon as the car started to move Robert put up the barrier undid his tie a bit and leaned forward. As he did so Cody felt an immense aura push down on him. He looked at Roberts eyes and fear flooded every inch of his body.

"So let's get strait down to business then Mr. Cody Martin" Robert said.

Cody couldn't move couldn't speak he was terrified.

"So I'll get right down to it. What are you exactly to my son"

"I'm...I'm just a friend" Cody gulped. Roberts eyes narrowed

"Now we both know that's not true. I'd rather you didn't lie to me . I have all day. I also know that you've been spending a mime we amount of time with my son. You seem close enough where he didn't send you away instantly like he has in the past. I also know it was you who called me using Dustin's direct line to me which means you didn't heed my advice to leave the apartment. So let me try asking again. What or who are you exactly to my son" Roberts eyes narrowed like a sniper ready to go in for the kill. Cody gulped. He was terrified and didn't know how to respond.

"I...I promise I'm just a friend sir" Cody stuttered.

"Your not very good at lying . Of course I know an honor student like you wouldn't be. Too focused on grades to perfect the skill of lying. Which means you are either protecting Dustin or perhaps yourself" Robert said.

"How did you know I was an honor student" Cody stammered.

"I know a lot about you . You get good grades unlike your brother who is you complete polar opposite despite you being twins. Your mother is a singer at the Tipton hotel while your father who is not married to your mother is a rock star on tour right now. You make up for your lack of physical ability with your mental capability. However I know your not Dustin's tutor due to his excellent grades. I also know you must be rather close to him for him to confide in you his problems at school. His lack of friends and the bullying. So I'm going to ask you one more time Cody Martin. What is your relation to my son. If I were you I'd answer wisely. Not many people get me to repeat myself three times before they end up at the bottom of Boston harbor" he said. Cody sat their stunned. He didn't think he could say anything even if he wanted to. Luckily for Cody Roberts phone rang breaking the silence. Cody observed his face as he looked at the caller. As soon as he answered the phone he quickly jerked it away from his face. Cody could hear who was speaking or in this case screaming into the phone.

"DAD. BRING CODY BACK RIGHT NOW. YOU BETTER NOT DO ANYTHING TO HIM. DAD ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME" he heard Dustin scream into the receiver. Robert put the phone up to his ear and spoke in a different tone them he just had with Cody.

"Don't worry Dustin. I'll bring him back as soon as we are done talking. Yes he is fine." Robert said into the speaker. As he hung up his attitude changed again.

"So what is your answer. And don't tell me your just friends because I've never heard Dustin this worried about anything before in his life"'Robert said with the daggers back in his eyes.

"I'm...I'm Dustin's...I'm his boyfriend" Cody said quietly. Roberts eyes narrowed. He stared at Cody for what seemed like an eternity. Suddenly he sat back crossed his arms and nodded his head.

"I see. So that's how it is" Robert said with a grin across his face. Cody looked stunned.

"Um sir. I'm...confused." Cody said.

"I already knew you were his boyfriend. I wanted to see how you'd react. You held your ground pretty well there. I approve" he said. Cody's face showed even more confusion.

"Listen, I'm glad Dustin finally found something he cares about. Cares so much that he even stood up to me. Also you stayed determined for the most part to stick to your beliefs. You wanted to defend Dustin even if it cost you your life" he said with a deep laugh.

"You weren't actually going to kill me if I didn't tell you were you" Cody said.

"Of course I was so" Robert said giving Cody three hard pats on the arm "just look out your window." As Cody looked out he saw the car had stopped in a port at the harbor. His face dropped a little. "But you passed my test with flying colors so now there is no need too." He gave another deep laugh.

As Cody and Robert entered the apartment Dustin ran to Cody and gave him a big hug. Then all at once he changed and went from doting boyfriend to looking like a cat protecting its turf as he stood between his dad and Cody. As they walked to the couch and sat down Dustin didn't leave Cody's side.

"Dustin leave Cody be he has been through a lot today" Robert said as he sat down.

"I wonder who's fault that is" Dustin said.

"So Dustin after talking to Cody today I've made a decision. I've decided that he is a good match for you and I approve"

"I don't care what you say dad Cody's my...huh..." Dustin said just registering what his dad had said.

"I think you and him make a great couple. He's changed you for the better and I'd be happy giving control to him one day" Robert laughed. Dustin just stared in disbelief.

"You...you know about Cody and I" Dustin said astonished.

"Of course I knew. Oh and before I forget here"'Robert said taking an envelope from his inner jacket pocket. "Transfer slips. All you have to do is fill in the school name and file the paperwork" Dustin just sat there shocked. Cody reached out and took the papers. "Well I've put off Tokyo long enough. I need to get back to wok" Robert said leaving the apartment.

"What...what just happened" Dustin asked in shock.

"It's a long story" Cody replied kissing Dustin.
