Author's Note: There is no excuse for why this chapter is so late other than the fact that despite the fact this arc is based off of a video games, it's giving me so much writers' block. Thankfully, we have four or five more chapters left plus the Helmeppo Group OVA before Act IV. I can tell that Act IV is going to be a great act, as so much stuff is going to happen.

Disclaimer: I don't own One Piece or Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

"What?!" Hadrian cried.

"We have thirty minutes to kill the dragon and rescue Pomponia and Arvin. If we fail, they'll die," Desdemona answered.

"We can't kill the dragon in a short amount of time!" Linus cried. Desdemona readied her blades in anticipation.

"If we work together, we can!" Desdemona cried. "Get your weapons ready! When the dragon passes over us, go for it!"

"That won't do anything!" Hadrian shouted as the dragon sped toward them. As everyone ducked down, Desdemona shot back up and cut the dragon's tail off.

"If we start slow, maybe we can take it down soon!" Desdemona yelled.

"That's not a solid guarentee!" Greta argued, the dragon flying above their heads.

"Greta's right! We need to act now if we want Pomponia and Arvin back!" Linus yelled in agreement. Hunter spun his crowbar in his hands.

"I can go and try to free them," Hunter offered. "What's the use of a crowbar in this fight?"

"I'll help," Hadrian and Odette said at the same time.

"Quit your loitering and help! We're going to lose them if we don't act now!" Linus yelled. Out of fear, Hunter, Odette, and Hadrian ran over to where the two pirates were chained up.

"What's his problem?" Hadrian whispered to Odette and Hunter.

"I'd be super-pissed off if I docked on an island, get bombs thrown at me, and had two of my crew mates chained up while a dragon guards them," Hunter answered.

Back with Desdemona, Linus, and Greta, they had begun their assault on the dragon.

"Got him!" Desdemona yelled as she leaped up into the air and sliced off part of the dragon's torso. "At this rate, we've destroyed about 30% of the dragon. We're making good time."

Before Linus or Greta could react, the dragon took a deep breath and breathed out fire. While Greta and Desdemona ran, Linus ran straight toward the dragon and cut off both of its claws.

"Oi! Linus! What do you think you're doing?!" Greta shouted.

"So much for doing things his away," Desdemona commented. "Is he always this angry?"

"No. Linus' twin sister, Lucy, recently died, and Linus hasn't been taking it well," Greta commented as Linus plunged his dagger right into the dragon's head.

"What happened?" Desdemona asked.

"Lucy… Well, she was an assassin who killed their father. Linus was forced to kill Lucy in order to keep us safe," Greta answered.

"That's really horrible," Desdemona said, the dragon crashing to the ground right behind them.

"Got the dragon!"

Linus approached Greta and Desdemona, the blade of his dagger coated in blood.

"How do we get –" Desdemona asked. Linus then held up a set of keys. "Oh. I see."

Linus ran over to Hunter, Odette, and Hadrian, who were using Hunter's crowbar to get Pomponia and Arvin out of their chains.

"…That was quick." Was all Pomponia said as Linus freed his two crew members.

"That's because we need to get out of here," Linus answered. "Everything and everyone on this island wants to kill us. It was a bad idea docking here for supplies."

"I think I may have an Eternal Pose for Alubarna in Alabasta. Would that be a good location?" Arvin asked his captain.

"Of course, it would. Anywhere but here," Linus answered. As Linus continued to speak, Desdemona felt herself grow hot, as if she were running a fever. As she looked around, Odette gasped.

"Des, you're on fire!" Odette shouted before Desdemona passed out.

When Desdemona came to, she was lying on the deck of a pirate ship, the four Geminis surrounding her.

"Where am I?" Desdemona weakly asked.

"You're on the deck of our ship, the Bravia. The dragon managed to survive, and he got you," Linus explained. "You were burned, but, thankfully, you didn't get any third-degree burns."

"Then how did I faint?" Desdemona asked.

"Your body probably went into shock. Have you been burned this badly before?" Pomponia asked.

"I'm a scientist. Of course, I've been burned," Desdemona answered. Arvin then tossed Desdemona a light-blue T-shirt, dark-brown shorts, and red, high-top sneakers.

"Linus had to cut your clothes off because they almost burned off. Sorry about that," Arvin explained. Desdemona responded by pulling the blanket around her tighter.

"Linus, you pervert!" Desdemona yelled. Greta laughed nervously.

"They're my clothes. I don't wear these anymore, so you can have them," Greta said meekly.

A few more minutes of rest later, Desdemona was leaving the Bravia.

"Thanks again for all of your help," Linus said to Odette, Hadrian, Desdemona, and Hunter.

"Anytime. Will we see each other again?" Desdemona asked.

"It's possible. We're heading out to Longjing Island. Linus has to be there because there's a chance that he's going to become a Shichibukai," Greta explained.

"You?! A Shichibukai?!" Desdemona yelled. "How did you get to that level?"

"As I said, Linus was forced to kill his assassin sister, so, along the way, he killed the infamous leader of the group," Greta answered.

"Well, I hope you get in," Desdemona said. "Also, I have a favor to ask of you. If you run into the Shichibukai Seven Weintraub, tell him that the Virgos say 'hi' and that we're on our way. He's on paid sabbatical on Longjing Island right now, so you might still catch him."

"Of course, I will," Linus answered. "After all, if I'm going to be a Shichibukai, I have to get to know them and see who's an enemy and who's an ally."

Meanwhile, Seven sneezed.

"Why do I have the feeling that I'm going to see the Virgos soon?" Seven asked himself.

Back in Fort Byrd, the entire prison looked like a war zone – Destroyed rooms, dead Rhynocs, fires burning in several cells, and sirens blaring throughout the prison.

"Security breach! Security breach! There has been a group of escaped prisoners! Anyone who is not a Rhynoc will be apprehended immediately and taken to Queen Nerissa for execution!"

"Well, we're all screwed," April said sarcastically as she bashed a Rhynoc's head in with her baseball bat.

"I've seen worse," Cooro said with a shrug. "Hey, Stein, remember the last time I went on a paid vacation?!"

"I remember! That was literally a trip!" Stein yelled back as he wrapped a bandage around Griffin's ankle.

"Ow! Stop! It hurts! I think I'm going to die!" Griffin screamed. Everyone else sweatdropped.

"Griffin, you sprained your ankle. You aren't going to die. Stop being such a crybaby," Arrowe slowly explained.

"Shut up, Arrowe! If I die before Des comes back, tell her that she gets all of my stuff!" Griffin sobbed.

"Griffin, be quiet! I hear someone coming!" Hettienne shouted. Immediately, a silence fell upon the room. Footsteps echoed off of the hallways, sending shivers down everyone's spines.

"Please tell me that's Des," Griffin said meekly and quietly.

"That doesn't sound like Desdemona," Arrowe pointed out, raising his bow and arrow. Then, everyone realized who their incoming enemy was.

"Kazura, I'm scared," Yukari whispered to her brother as she kept a firm grip on his hand.

"Oi! Get on out here! We aren't scared of you!" Nikolai shouted.

"If you aren't scared of me, then why are you cowards so scared of dying?"

Everyone screamed.

So... The 50th chapter is up next, and it's going to be so awesome. Yuki-Rin dies! Nikolai does a strip-tease for the female readers! The Dragon Lady gets sent to the prison Orange is the New Black takes place in! Desdemona wins the Nobel Peace Prize in Chemistry!

I'm joking. None of that stuff is going to happen.
