52: Lock

Following her mother's death, the then eight year old Kirsty would hide herself away in her room.

When at his lowest point, back when he was human, Elliot would drive others away and drown in his sorrows at the nearest tavern.

Times may have changed, but the wish to lock themselves away from the outside world remained, though for different reasons.

The world was a cruel place, filled with cruel, traitorous people. However, often they would find sympathy and understanding with each other. Like kindred souls, separated and newly found, just the mere presence was enough to make each feel whole.

They now wished to be away from the world, to be alone together. To lock away the world and throw away the key, leaving two broken souls to become one and whole once again. To love and be lovers, undisturbed by what was going on through that other world that mattered to them no more.
