Chapter 53: Something Old Part VI
A/N: A bit of Blis and Amlee fluff at the beginning, but it gets back to the girls quick enough.
A/N #2: This is the last part of this chapter. 3 more and an epilogue to go...
Doris breathed in deeply, stretching her back as her eyes blinked open. The room was dark around her, even with the curtains half open. She tried to raise her right hand only to realize that it was pinned to her side. Yawning, she raised her left hand instead, running it through her hair before wiping the sleep from her eyes. She glanced at the clock on her nightstand; her eyebrows furrowing when she saw the time.
9:47 PM.
What the hell?
The softness against her side shifted; smooth skin brushing across her own as Blake shifted in her arms.
Oh.
Right.
The memories of the last few hours slammed through her, making her shudder as she wrapped her free arm around the redhead and watched her slowly wake up.
"Hey."
Blake blinked at her in confusion for a moment, and then made the mayor's heart swell when a gorgeous smile graced her lips.
"Hey yourself." The redhead moved even closer; dovetailing their legs together. "Been awake long?"
"Just a few minutes."
Blake watched her closely, her smile fading slightly. "Is everything okay? You have a strange look on your face." She took a breath before swallowing. "Do you want me to leave?" "
"No!" Doris tightened her grip, only relaxing when the other woman snuggled deeper into her arms. "I'm..." She shook her head. "I'm just surprised how much I don't."
"Don't what?"
"Want you to leave."
The redheads smile slowly returned. "Oh my... from what you've told me of your history that's practically a proposal." She laughed when the blonde stiffened. "Relax, Mayor. I'm not that easy." She quickly put a finger against her lover's mouth. "Don't. Don't even say it. Save the snark for Olivia. I like the cuddly side of you."
"Cuddly?"
"Yup."
"I am not cuddly."
Blake pulled up tightly against her, fitting the entire front of her body across Doris' torso. "Oh... I think you are..." She dropped her head, biting at the pulse jumping in the other woman's neck. "You're practically a teddy bear."
Doris gripped the redhead's hips hard, flipping her over and sliding her leg up; groaning at the wetness she found. "I'll show you a teddy bear..."
Blake pushed up with her hips; grinding against the women above her. "Doris..." She whispered.
There was a pause.
"Pick another name."
The redhead paused in confusion. "I beg your pardon?"
"I've never liked my name. Pick something else..."
"Oh..." Blake took a breath as the other woman slid her hand down to dip her fingers into the wet heat between her legs. "Dori..."
"Dori?" The mayor's hand stilled as she looked down at the woman beneath her. "Are you serious? Like that little fish in the cartoon?"
Blake grinned at her. "Well... She was cute... and strong..." She blinked and half sat up. "And, Oh! Played by a lesbian!"
Doris stopped short. "I have absolutely no idea how to respond to that."
Blake's eyes darkened. "Just keep swimming..." She grabbed the other woman's hand firmly, pressing it down; her head falling to the side and her mouth going slack when she felt strong, knowing fingers stroke deeply inside of her.
Doris chuckled. "Oh no..." She kissed the redhead deeply. "You're not easy, but you are definitely worth the effort."
Friday 10:27 PM
"So..." Amy opened the door for Ashlee, leading her out of Company by the hand as they headed for the parking lot. "This was nice."
Ashlee smiled at her shyly. "Yeah... Yeah this was... really nice."
The redhead pulled her up short when they reached her van, looking up and down the street and grinning when there wasn't a car in sight. "Ya know... Springfield isn't exactly a hotbed of activity on any night of the week."
Ashlee laughed. "I know."
"So then..." Amy started walking backwards. "What did you want to do?" She gripped the blondes hand more firmly. "I know a bar... it's called 13..."
"Is it...?"
"THAT kind of bar?" She smiled. "Yeah... yeah, it is."
"Oh..." Ashlee smiled sheepishly. "I'm not sure I'm quite... ready yet... for that much... diversity."
"Ahh." The redhead pulled them to a stop. "Then I guess this is goodnight."
The younger woman turned her head slightly to the side. "Why?"
"Uh... because we've kind of run out of options?"
"But... I don't think I'm done... being with you... just yet."
The older woman rocked back on her heels, her surprise evident on her face. "So, I'll ask again. Where did you want to go?"
Ashlee studied her closely. "Do you love Davina?"
"Davi?!" After getting over her whiplash from the rapid topic change, Amy smiled broadly. "I love her completely. But not the way you mean."
"Then tell me. How did you end up here... with her?"
"I..." The seamstress ran her fingers through her hair. "I didn't. I met Davi in Chicago. I was an intern at a big movie supply warehouse. We did everything from props to costumes. I loved my job." She hung her head a little, her smile turning slightly sad. "But I loved her more, so I followed her here." She took Ashlee's hands. "I still love her... just not the same way. Before she used to be my reason for getting up in the morning. Now... now she's my family."
"So then..." Ashlee moved closer, crowding into the older woman's personal space. "What's your reason to get up in the morning now?"
Amy looked at the woman in front of her, feeling genuine affection and happiness bubble up in her chest. "I'm open to suggestions."
The blonde smiled, taking small steps forward until Amy was pressed tightly between her and the van. Bringing her hand up she curved it around the back of the redheads neck, using it to pull her into a deep, passionate kiss.
Amy grabbed Ashlee's shoulders tightly, slipping her tongue between the blonde's lips and groaning when she found her invasion more than welcome. "Ash..." She gasped between breaths. "Ashlee!"
"What?"
The other woman's voice was sharp, her eyes unfocused, making Amy smile. "If we stay here we're going to get arrested!"
"It's fine." Ashlee dragged her head back down. "My mother is the mayor."
Amy blinked. "Wait... you were serious about that? I thought..." She blinked. "I thought that was like... a joke or something."
"Uh... no, not unless you count my social life." The younger woman kissed her again, growling when Amy pushed her gently away. "What?"
"Uh... I'm right here with you... believe me... but I would feel so much more comfortable if we went somewhere a bit more... private..."
Ashlee shrugged. "Okay." She let the other woman go slowly, running her hands down her arms. "Then take me home."
Amy's eyebrows crawled up her forehead. "Your home?"
"Oh, heck no!" The blonde looked green just from the suggestion. "Doris had a date tonight and if I know my mother... That is just another therapy bill I don't need..."
"Then...?"
Ashlee smiled at her gently. "Your home."
Without another word she closed the van door, leaving her date looking like a fish suddenly very much out of water.
Friday 11:47 PM
"Olivia."
Nothing.
"Olivia."
The blonde's nose twitched. She brought her fingers up to scratch it before she snuggled deeper into Natalia's arms, trying to ignore the fingers that were gently tapping her on the chest.
"Olivia."
She finally took a deep breath, realizing that she wasn't going to get back to sleep until she responded. "Yes, dear?"
There was a pause.
"Really?
"What?"
"Yes, dear?"
Trying not to laugh, Olivia rolled over, tucking the younger woman's breasts under hers as she drew her close. "Would you prefer Honey Bun? Sweetie Pie?" Her eyes brightened. "Sugar Tits?" She laughed when Natalia slapped at the hands trying to get under her shirt. "You have to admit... they are pretty sweet..."
"Olivia!"
"Okay! Okay..." She laid back, letting her arms wrap loosely around the other woman's torso. "What, sweetheart?"
Natalia stared at her for a moment, making sure she was being serious.
"What are you going to say at the wedding?"
Olivia chuckled. "We've already had this conversation."
"But you didn't tell me!"
"And what makes you think I'll tell you now?"
Natalia moved closer, letting the older woman feel the heat between her legs as she slid them open to straddle her waist.
"Uh uh!" Olivia grabbed her by the shoulders, pushing her back. "We've had this conversation too. With the aching and the wanting and the... Yeah... no."
"So just tell me what you're going to say." The brunette laid down on top of her. "And I'll let you go to sleep."
"Ha! Like THAT'S an incentive!" She blinked when she felt a familiar warm slickness against her thigh. "...Or... really an option... at this point."
Natalia pouted and Olivia had to admit... it was her best argument so far.
But it still didn't sway her.
"Why are you so worried about this?"
The younger woman stared into her eyes, her throat bobbing as she swallowed quickly.
Olivia frowned slightly. "Are you worried.. That I'll let you down?"
"NO!" She buried her face in the older woman's neck. "Oh, no, Olivia. Not at all."
"Then what?"
"You..." Natalia felt her eyes fill with tears but couldn't stop them. "You always surprise me. You always make me feel... Like I'm... full up on love." She kiss' Olivia deeply. "Like I'm drowning in it." She traced the older woman's lower lip. "I'm worried I'll let you down."
The blonde smiled broadly even as her own eyes filled. "Never. You never could." She laced their fingers together. "I promise... I'll do you right." She grinned as she pinched one perfect buttock. "Hey, I'm marrying you aren't I?"
"Really?" Natalia's eyes narrowed. "I think I might be the one doing you the favor there."
"Oh, you think so?" Olivia laughed as she started tickling her lover, adoring the way her skin felt as it slid smoothly against her own.
When they were both finally breathless, laying in each other's arms, covered in a light sheen of sweat; she took the younger woman's face between her hands. "I promise..." She whispered.
Natalia's hands went to her hips, pulling her closer. "I accept."
