Andrew's POV

I looked down at my watch, it was 10am, I still needed to get Sum's present. I decided that I would say I needed to go to lassiters for work, so then I could go shopping for her.
"Sum, I have to go to lassiters I'll be back later. Sorry" I said, then I kissed her and stood up.
"When will you come back?" Sum asked, she wrapped her arms around my waist.
"I'll meet you at Harolds at 2?" I replied, I put my hand down on her hair, I didn't really want to leave, but I still needed to get her the presents. I put my hand in my pocket, I could feel the ring I took from her desk. I smiled and pulled away. I walked to the door, Sum followed me. We stood at her front door, Sum looked back up at me.
"I'll see you at 2 then" Sum said, I smiled and then forced myself out of Sum's house. Lyn would have some satisfaction for 4 hours until I get back. I walked quickly down the street, I couldn't let myself get snapped back towards Sum like a magnet. I was smiling, I could see Sum in my head. Sure, I'd look like a creep smiling at nothing but who cares. I started jogging towards the shops, I passed lassiters, I could see the large building of the shops poking up in the distance. I slowed down because there were more people on the footpaths that lead to the shopping centre. I tried to weave through the crowds but it didn't work. All I got was a couple of filthy looks and some pushes. I finally got through the doors, I walked into the jewellery store that I saw Sum in that day. I couldn't see the ring anywhere, my heart sunk. I looked in all of the glass showcases for that ring she liked. I decided to get her a necklace instead, I moved to the area that had the necklaces. A girl which I guessed worked at the store came up to me.
"Who are you looking to buy for?" She asked.
"My girlfriend" I replied, she sighed. I didn't look at her, I just continued looking at the necklaces. I saw one I thought might look good on Sum, it had two hearts on it and it had little diamonds on the hearts. If she didn't like it she could always take it back and choose what she liked. I looked at the stand thing infront of it that said the price. $899.
"I'll take that one" I said, I pulled out my wallet and got out my card. I walked over to the cash register and waited for the shop keeper to bring me the necklace. She put it in a fancy bag and I swiped my card in the machine. I typed in my pin and then the girl passed me the bag. I walked back out to the shopping centre. I held onto the bag tight so that no one took it from me, I remembered how in her room she had a tiny little makeup case. Once she said how much she needed a new one, I had no idea where to look for it so I just walked around a little shop that sold hair things and makeup. I could see a couple down on the bottom shelf. I bent down and pulled one out. I opened it up, I was no expert on anything that had to do with makeup but that case looked good. I walked up to the girl that was working there, I was holding the case.
"Is this a good case?" I asked, holding out the case.
"Yeah, it's the best one we have" She replied, I put the case down on the counter and pulled out my wallet.
"40 dollars please" She said, I took out a $50 note and passed it to her. She gave me back the change and put the case in a bag. I probably looked like a girl, I already had 2 bags of shopping. I walked out and checked my watch, it was already midday. I had 2 hours to get back to Sum, well one and a half if I didn't want her to see what I'd gotten, after all I was 'at lassiters.' There was just one more thing on my list for Sum. The Melbourne Heart jumper, she needed it if we were going to a match. I walked in to the sports store and picked up a jumper, she would probably be about 2 sizes below me, anyway she looked super cute in baggy things. I took it up to the counter, the guy scanned the barcode and I took out my card. I paid and walked back out. I decided that I would go home and change so then I could go out somewhere nice with Sum. I walked out the shopping centre and walked around the back way to get home so that Sum didn't see me. I turned back, I had forgotten literally the most important thing, the card. I walked quickly back to the shopping centre and then into a card shop. There was only one for turning 17 so I chose that one and took it to the cash registar. I took out my wallet and got out a $5 note. I passed it to the guy, the card was only $5 so I took it and put it in one of the bags along with the reciept. I walked back out, trying to remember if I had forgotten anything. I continued to go through the back street, so I could go through the back gate of the house. I pushed the gate open and ran around the front. I got a spiderweb caught in my hair, I quickly brushed it off and pushed the front door open. Rebecca was standing at the kitchen bench sipping on her tea.
"Where did you come from?" She asked, I ran my fingers through my hair to make sure the spider web was gone.
"I went to the shopping centre to buy Summer some things for her birthday" I said, I walked upstairs and hid the bads in the back of my wardrobe behind lots of boxes. I pulled out my jeans from the wardrobe and changed in to them. I checked my watch again and quickly walked to Harolds. I couldn't get Sum out of my head, she never left it. I smiled when she waved at me, she was sitting at one of the tables, I had guessed she had been there for a while. I sat down on the chair at the table, she stared dreamily into my eyes.
"Do you want to go to the movies or something?" I asked, a smile spread across Sum's face.
"Bowling?" She said, smirking. I nodded, Lyn came over to take our order. We weren't intending on staying but it would be rude to go now.
"Umm, I'll have a hot chocolate please. Sum what do you want babe?" I said, Lyn shot me a filthy look and turned to Sum.
"I'll have the same, and chocolate cake" Sum said, laughing. Lyn walked away, leaving us sitting down at the table.
"Did you have fun without me?" I asked.
"Nope" Sum said, I stood up and walked around the table to where she was sitting, I dragged my chair with me. I sat back down and leant in to kiss her. I felt her arms wrap around my neck when we kissed. I heard the drinks bang down on the table, I pulled away and looked up at Lyn who was staring down at us.
"I hope I haven't disturbed anything" Lyn snapped, then she walked off. I watched as Sum sipped her drink, she had a cheeky grin on her face. I drank down my drink quickly, Sum started eating her cake. She stuck the fork in and picked up a bit, she forced it towards my mouth, I reluctantly bit the cake from the fork then she started eating again. I couldn't help but laugh at Lyn, I could see her looking through the window at us. Sum pushed her plates away to the middle of the table, indicating that she was finished.
"Can we go now?" I asked, she nodded so we stood up, I took her hand and lead her to the shopping centre.
"I know you weren't at lassiters today" Sum said, raising her eyebrows.
"I was shopping, for your birthday" I replied, I kissed her.
"What did you get?" Sum asked, I smiled, I wasn't going to tell her.
"It's a secret... Until your birthday" I said, poking my tongue out. We walked through the doors of the shopping centre and saw the bowling place. We walked in and got our shoes from the rack. We walked up to the counter holding the shoes.
"One game please" I said, the man at the desk checked out Sum, she turned to me and put her arm around me. I glared at the guy, he backed off and took the money from me. It wouldn't be the best thing to start checking out my girl. I put my arm around Sum, just so that the guy would get that we were together. We walked away to the bowling lane, we typed in our names and waited to start the game. I looked behind me, that guy was still looking at Sum. I pulled her closer to me and I kissed her, we stood there kissing until some old man came up to us, he was staring at us like we were disgusting. That would make that guy stop looking at us. I bowled first, I got a strike. I poked my tongue out at Sum, she was standing behind me holding her ball.
"You're a pro" Sum said, bowling her ball. it went into the gutter.
"I'll show you" I said, Sum walked back to the machine to pick her ball up. She walked over to me holding out the ball. I pushed it back towards her, I stood behind her and put one hand around her waist and the other hand on her arm with the ball. I guided her arm so she could release the ball properly.
"Release" I said, I was leaning down ontop of her so that she guided the ball down on the ground instead on letting go in the air. Sum let go of the ball and it hit like 7 pins. I kissed her on the neck and then lifted her back with me. Sum giggled and smiled at me, she wrapped her arms around me.
"Thanks" She said, her smile automatically made me smile.
