Chapter 52
"What game are you playing?" Henry sneered.
"You'll see," he taunted. Terrence walked over to Erica. He squatted down in front of her and started caressing her face. "This one has caused a lot of trouble for you. Siblings really do know how to mess things up. I wonder if you hate her as much as I do."
Henry clenched his fists. "Stop touching her," he sneered.
Terrence chuckled. He walked over to Rachel. "She's your future. Congratulations on the baby by the way." He stood up eyeing Henry. "I think it's time to wake them up," he said. He motioned for Henry to do it. "No funny business," he said.
"Rachel, honey, it's me. It's time to wake up," he said softly shaking her. She stirred. "Rachel," he called out.
"Henry," she whispered. He kept his voice even.
"Yes, I'm here." Her eyes snapped open and she shot up. She started to cry as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
Tears fell down his eyes as he stroked the back of her head. "Everything is going to be okay," he whispered.
She pulled back. "When did you get here?" she asked.
"Minutes ago," he replied. Rachel glanced over to Erica before glancing at Terrence.
"What do you want from us?" she sneered.
"A sick game," Henry said.
"What game?" Rachel asked.
"You'll see Mrs. Mills. Now wake her up," Terrence said pointing to Erica.
Henry pushed himself off the ground and walked over to Erica. He shook her gently. "Erica, wake up." He saw her stir and slowly opened her eyes. He came into her field of vision and she sat up.
"You're here," she said. He cracked a smile.
"Yes, I'm here," he said. He silently told her that they were going to make it out of this place soon.
"Now that we got reacquainted, it's time to play," he said. "Mr. Mills, sit next to your wife." He did and Terrence left the room.
"What is he doing?" Rachel asked. She didn't have to wait long for an answer. He came back with a gun and laid it on the table.
"This game is called Russian Roulette. You've heard of it. Guess who gets to be the lucky person to pull the trigger?" he asked. He handed the gun to Henry. "Take your pick Henry."
Meanwhile, Regina was pacing around the apartment. "We should have heard something by now. What if he got lost or he didn't make it in time? I knew we should have followed him."
"Regina, Henry can take care of himself. I'm sure he is doing what he can to bring the girls home," Daniel said trying to calm her nerves. She nodded her head but pulled her cell phone out.
"Winters," Regina heard.
"Where are you? Where is my son?" she yelled into the phone.
Winters sighed. "I lost him," she admitted. She heard Regina yell into the phone calling her all kinds of names. "Mrs. Richards, calm down. I'm not giving up. Please let me do my job." She hung up before Regina could yell further.
"She doesn't know where he is," Daniel said shocked. Regina shook her head no. "I'm trying so hard not to intervene. My babies are out there. My grandchild is in danger because of another psycho. I should've gone with him."
"You know he wouldn't have wanted you to go," Daniel said. "I have faith in Henry. He'll bring our girls home."
