The picture I have in use as the cover for my CaH saga is from dA by an artist lychi and the picture's name is just simply Zelda.

Also, another note: I do NOT own the characters or places unless said otherwise. Nintendo has the rights. =P Honestly speaking, all I have is the idea for the story, few monsters, creatures and bit of changing the places. Oh, and couple of OCs here and there. ^^; I'm certain everyone can figure out which belongs to me and which doesn't. =)

And who in Goddesses names called forth Halloween a week too early?! D= So, yeah... Be freaked out... Be very freaked out! *evil chuckle* Also, the idea for the first baddie in there is from Swamp Dragon Princess. =)

DARK LINK'S QUEST

CHAPTER 44: The Shadow Temple, part 7: The Boss Fight

The room Link and Dark entered was round with a huge hole in middle of it. The Hero sighed bit heavily before giving apologetc smile to the darker Hylian while already bringing out the Hover Boots. "Going down." He simply stated before taking couple of steps to stand on the hole.

Dark was fully shocked but before he had a chance to do a thing, Link was already falling. The dark Hylian tried to be as swift as possible while getting the Hover Boots on and over the hole. "I hate this fall!" He thought, closed his eyes and was close of screaming when he finally started to fall.

Surprisingly the magic of the Hover Boots slowed down the falling so it wasn't as bad as it could've been. By the time Dark came down to the new area, Link was already waiting for him with a slight grin. "Nice of you to join me." He said before already drawing out his sword and shield.

Dark gasped slightly as he finally reached the bottom of the fall and gave slight glare to the Hero about his choice of words. After that, though, he sighed heavily and mimicked Link. Once he was fully ready for the upcoming fight, he finally took a check around them.

Like the Shadow Temple had been nearly whole time, this area was dimly lit too. The walls were either too far to be seen or then hidden by the darkness around them. Unlike during the fight with Bongo Bongo, there was no podium anywhere around them. There were fires in torches that were standing on the floor and created round area that was lit into light. After that came darkness.

The duo looked around for quite some time but nothing seemed to attack them. "Dark... Maybe you should check the area with the Lens..." Link finally suggested while trying to find out what they were supposed to fight against. The ex-shadow nodded and took the Lens out.

He turned nearly a full circle before he got a glimpse of something. Yet, before he had a chance to know what it was, the air was split by a chilling scream of a ReDead. Both of the Hylians gasped and took a step backwards while staring into the darkness around them. As the scream was echoing in the room, the ground under them started to shake as a podium was slowly lifted from the ground.

The duo nearly lost their balance until the podium was to its full height. Its edge came few meters above the torches so the light couldn't come over to there as well as they had hoped for. The torches weren't further than about couple of meters from the round walls of the podium.

Once the scream faded out, the room was fully lit into light. The walls of the square room were about sixty meters away from the podium in all directions. The floor was filled with skeletons and different kinds of bones. But, that wasn't the worst thing. The worst thing Dark and Link saw was a huge ReDead Knight.

Even though the ReDead Knights were already bigger and stronger than the normal ReDeads, this one was enormous. Its eyes were blazing red and its flesh was even more decaying than with any of the other ReDead creatures. The monster had a gigantic sword and broken armor around its body.

Both of the fighters gasped and took a step backwards as they stared at the hideous creature they were meant to fight against. Suddenly the ReDead Knight screamed out again and all of the light, besides the torches close to the podium, went out. The duo blinked couple of times to get used to the dimmer light again. "I'm gonna hate this..." Dark mumbled while looking around with the Lens.

Link nodded while keeping his back against his closest friend. "Yeah, me too..." He replied while keeping his sword and shield out but he had bit of a feeling those wouldn't help him in this fight. "So, um... How do we handle this?" The Hero inquired while desperately trying to find the monster.

Dark shrugged and tried not to shake so much. "I don't know..." He answered while fighting to keep his voice from trembling. Suddenly he gasped as he found the enemy. "There!" The dark Hylian called and tried to keep the monster in the Lens' notion.

Link turned around but he couldn't see the ReDead. "Where? I can't find it!" He half growled while trying to get a check through the ex-shadow's Lens but not seeing anything else than the area through smoky red glass. The Hero took out his bow and arrows before taking once a deep breath and shooting an arrow towards the area where Dark's Lens of Shadows was pointed at.

They both cursed as they heard the arrow clang into a wall. The darker Hylian gulped once. "I-it went straight through it..." He mumbled and tried to calm down. Link sighed heavily.

"And I had hoped I only missed..." The Hero mumbled bit angrily while letting slight Din's Fire burn in the tip of the next arrow. "How about with this then?" He mumbled and started to take a new aim.

"Get down!" Dark suddenly screamed and hit the floor of the podium. Link blinked once in surprise but he wasn't fast enough to follow the given order. He heard the moan of the gigantic monster just before the decaying hand came into his sight and slammed into him. "LINK!" The ex-shadow shrieked as the Hero screamed while flying through the air by the impact of the strike.

Link hit back first into the floor of the podium. He gasped at the impact as it struck his air out. The Hero wasn't able to do a thing as he slid closer to the edge of the podium. Yet, luckily, the movement stopped couple of meters before the fall.

Dark scrambled to his feet and started to run towards Link. He knew he wouldn't be fast enough to stop the movement but maybe he could help some other way. Suddenly the air was split by the horrendous scream and the ex-shadow gasped in pure terror while stopping his running.

The scream of the ReDead Knight echoed around the room as the devilish monster came out of the darkness. It slammed its left hand into the podium while pulling itself over it. Dark gasped and started to shake while staring thoroughly wide-eyed at the shadowy floor of the podium. The head of the living dead creature came right behind the ex-shadow while opening its mouth for a bite.

"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Link screamed and started to shoot arrow after arrow towards the monster. First two went straight through the enemy but that was when the Hero lit the arrows into fire. The third one, first of the fiery arrows, hit into the decaying creation's shoulder. Fourth hit into the torso. Fifth found its place from the creature's chin. Sixth hit into throat. Seventh went into the hand.

Eight one missed as the ReDead Knight moved away from the podium and avoided the attack. The monster took back into the shadows behind the line of torches. "Dark! Are you alright?!" Link shouted in full worry while scrambling to his feet from the floor and running to his brother. The darker Hylian was still staring at the floor and gasping for air. "Dark!" The Hero screamed and placed his hands to the ex-shadow's shoulders.

Dark gasped and shot his gaze up while taking a step backwards. "L-Link?" He half whispered before sighing heavily and relaxing. "I... I'm okay..." The dark Hylian continued while taking couple of deep breaths to calm down fully. He gasped again as Link pulled him into a tight embrace.

"I'm grateful of that. Just..." The Hero started but sighed heavily and pulled off. "We need to get that monster defeated." He told sternly while feeling fully fearful of where the said creature was at. Dark nodded and took a grip of himself by raising the Lens of Shadows up again. He started to search for the monster nearly frantically but the way he found the creature got his blood run ice cold.

"DOWN!" Dark screamed in pure terror and pushed Link away as harshly as he could before hitting the floor again. What he had seen was the gigantic mouth of the monster coming straight towards them with full intention of eating them. The only thing the ReDead Knight got a bite of was the black cap of the ex-shadow's. "HEY! Give it back!" The dark Hylian shouted and stared angrily after the long black hat of his.

Link had gasped in shock at both the shriek of command and at the harsh jolt. He crashed back first into the floor again before being quite startled about the rise of the black hat. "What the..." The Hero mumbled but very swiftly started to take aim with the arrows again and sending a Fire Arrow towards the black hat.

The ReDead Knight moaned angrily as its only prey had been the hat. It slowly moved its hand into the black fabric and tore it into two. Just as the two pieces were falling towards the floor, the arrow flew through the air and struck into the monster's shoulder. The fully hidden creature gave out a moan of pain while pulling fully back into the shadows around it.

As the duo got back to their feet, Dark was already searching for the monster. "Can you find it?" Link inquired while being fully ready with the bow and arrows. The darker Hylian shook his head but didn't stop searching. Suddenly the air was once again split by the scream of a ReDead. Both of the Hylians gasped and shivered while desperately trying to get back into moving.

Dark was bit faster of getting through the terror inflicting shriek and started to search for the enemy. Link was still trying to catch his breath when suddenly the enormous hand came out of the darkness around them. "LINK!" The darker Hylian screamed but he wasn't able to do a thing as the decaying brown hand closed around the Hero.

Link screamed and tried to struggle to get free. The monster raised him off of the floor and started to squeeze him. The Hero was growling and gasping in pain while being unable to get away. Suddenly the decaying creature screamed in pain and opened its hand. Link gasped as he fell and hit harshly into the floor just before the podium.

The ex-shadow had been staring in pure horror as the ReDead Knight took Link off of the podium. "NOO!" Dark shrieked and send as strong Din's Fire as possible. It hit on full force into the decaying monster's side. Only fifth of the attack struck into the armor around the creature but rest hit into the target very harshly. "LINK!" The dark Hylian shouted and ran to the edge of the podium as he saw the Hero fall. He already knew that Link would miss the podium.

Link groaned in pain as he forced himself to a sitting position. He gasped few times to get some strength back before getting up to his feet. "Link..." Dark called in full worry as he was kneeling on the edge of the podium and offering his hand to the Hero. "Come on... We gotta finish this..." He continued while fully wishing he could've somehow kept Link off of the harm's way.

The Hero took once a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah..." He half mumbled before already taking a grip of the offered hand and let the ex-shadow pull him back up. "Where's the monster?" Link inquired on the second he was on the podium. Dark shrugged and took a swift check around without the Lens.

"Hopefully giving us a short moment to gather ourselves..." The dark Hylian answered in a slight whisper. "Are you alright?" He continued straight off and turned his notion back into Link.

"I'll live..." The Hero replied with a slight lopsided smile. Dark was just going to inquire more when he suddenly found Link's finger over his mouth. "And I don't think I got broken bones or such. Was close but not close enough." The savior of Hyrule continued as calmly as he could.

The darker Hylian nodded with a slight smile before getting up to his feet. He brought the Lens back up and took as quick check around as possible without leaving anything out of his notion. "There." Dark half whispered as he found the monster and followed it.

Link nodded and stood up bit shakily. He took once a deep breath and took out his Ocarina. "I just wonder why I didn't come up with this straight off..." The Hero thought while taking once a deep breath and closing his eyes as he brought the blue Ocarina of Time to his lips.

Dark glanced at Link before smiling a bit. "Glad you came up with that..." He thought while bringing his notion back into the monster. "Now we just need to let that freaking monster out of Shadows and we can freeze it to attack better..." The ex-shadow realized and send a slight fire attack towards the area where the monster was at the moment. He knew it wouldn't cause any of harm but maybe it could usher the creature out into attacking.

The strike did do exactly that. The monster groaned angrily, stopped and send its hand towards the duo. "Link... Now!" Dark commanded while calling out Din's Fire so he'd be ready to attack on the moment the creature would freeze. The Hero started to play the Sun's Song on the second the dark Hylian gave the command for it.

The sound of the freezing ReDead was heard but the hand kept coming towards them. "Damn it!" Dark shouted and send strong fire ball towards the hand. It didn't get the monster to stop its attack and the ex-shadow kept attacking over and over again. "Move!" The dark Hylian commanded and started to run towards the center of the podium.

Link had been frowning slightly in confusion but with the command, he realized what Dark already knew. The song hadn't worked. The Hero avoided the hand just in time. "So... That's out of using..." Link half mumbled and backed right next to the ex-shadow.

Dark just simply nodded while already searching the ReDead Knight out again. It had returned back into the shadows around it but the dark Hylian was able to keep eye on it through the Lens. "I'm surprised it hasn't yet slashed with the sword..." He half mumbled and frowned slightly in confusion.

Link nearly deadpanned at that. "Don't encourage it..." He replied quite sternly. "It's hard enough as it is already..." The Hero thought bit unnerved while readying a new arrow.

As the monster came for a new attack, the duo struck back with fire. Dark send full Din's Fire into the decaying creature while Link used Fire Arrows. The ReDead Knight didn't get a strike in but the dark Hylian noticed something about the enemy's sword. The creation of darkness wasn't holding the sword normally. It was tied into the arm of the monster but since the arm and shoulder were broken, it couldn't use the weapon for anything else than to keep itself from crashing as it went for an attack.

The ex-shadow grinned nearly victoriously as he came up with an idea. "I know how to finish this fight." He whispered to the Hero and winked once. Link was fully confused but he was more than ready to wrap up the battle and get the hell away from the Temple so he nodded his acceptance to whatever Dark was planning to do.

When the creature came again to attack the duo, the dark Hylian didn't strike at the monster but at the sword. The ReDead Knight gave out a gasp as the sword was knocked to side. This caused the decaying enemy to crash into the floor. "Now!" The ex-shadow screamed as he tied the monster into the floor by several vines of flames.

Link didn't need another command. He already ran to the edge of the podium and jumped while performed a downwards thrust. The sword went straight through the decaying creature's heart. "Link!" Dark called as he shot the Longshot towards the Hero. Link pulled his sword off of the monster's body and took a grip of the Longshot's chain. The darker Hylian pulled him back to the podium.

The gigantic ReDead Knight screamed and trashed but it wasn't dead yet. The fiery vines burned through the creature's arms and it forced itself back to its feet. "What's going on?" Link asked while taking a step backwards. He could still hear the monster's breathing and moaning. Dark stared wide-eyed at their enemy and just barely understood that the fight wasn't yet over.

"I-it's s-still alive..." The dark Hylian whispered and gulped once. The Hero sighed heavily and shook his head.

"I guess we gotta go for bit harder way then." He mumbled and looked apologetically at his closest friend. "I'm sorry, Dark." Link whispered before taking a new arrow out and aiming. He followed the way where the Lens the ex-shadow was holding was pointed towards. The Hero took once a deep breath before using Light magic in the arrow and send it off.

Dark had been fully confused but he kept slight notion on their enemy. When the Light Arrow was created, he gasped slightly but understood fully what Link was going for. As the arrow struck into the wall, the ReDead Knight screamed in pain. It was forced out of the Shadows but before it had a chance to react, the next Light Arrows was already flying towards it. Each of the arrows forced the decaying creature closer to the podium and further from the walls. Once it came into the reach of the torches, Link went for the last part of his plan.

The Hero tackled Dark to the floor before calling out as strong Light magic as he could. He moved swiftly and struck his hands into the floor of the podium while coming over the darker Hylian and so trying to create some shadows to protect him. As the light magic in the form of a dome left to hit into all around them, Link tried to hide the ex-shadow by his own body.

The ReDead Knight screamed in agony as the Light Magic struck. It burned the front of the decaying creature and got it to stumble few steps backwards but it still stood on its feet. Link stood up once the worst of the Light Magic had gotten far enough from him and Dark. He scowled at the enemy as it still was alive but hunched forward. The Hero didn't really think as he ran again towards the edge of the podium while charging his sword.

Link thought about doing a Spin Attack to knock the monster down but instead of that, he unconsciously charged the blade with Light Magic. Once he got close enough to the edge, he slashed and sent the attack at the monster. The arc of light was a thorough surprise for the Hero but he managed to keep the magic on.

The attack struck harshly into the ReDead Knight and knocked it to its back. The light had fully cut the monster into two but the head of the enemy was still moving. The gleaming red eyes turned to look straight at the Hero of Hyrule.

Link flinched slightly and took a step backwards. He knew that the monster wasn't able to do a thing but thinking about going down and finishing it off felt more than disgusting and unnerving. The Hero turned to look at Dark. The ex-shadow was staring at him with wide-eyes but more in surprise than shock. The dark Hylian gave a short and slow nod which got Link to sigh heavily and turn his notion back into their enemy.

The Hero took once a deep breath before he jumped down from the podium. He walked as calmly as he could to the head of the gigantic body. The monster still tried to bite at him but without the body, it couldn't really do a thing. Link grimaced but he took a better grip of his sword before he already plunged it into the skull of the ReDead Knight.

When the Hero drew the Master Sword off, the gleaming red eyes slowly dimmed until they vanished. Link shivered slightly while backing off by couple of steps. The sudden purple colored light caught his notion and got him to turn around to face the podium again. "Impa!" Link called and started to run towards the podium while sheathing his sword.

The Sheikah Sage was slowly lowering down with the purple light. She opened her eyes around midway and gasped about what she saw. "Link! Dark Link! Look out!" The Sage of Shadows shouted as she stared at the extremely small ReDeads that were separating themselves from the broken body of the gigantic ReDead Knight.

The Hero had just climbed up to the podium as he heard the sound of footsteps. He gasped in shock as he saw the army of small ReDeads. Dark drew out his sword and shield and backed to Link. It didn't take long before the tiny creatures started to get up to the podium.

The two Hylians started to fight as well as they could against the mini monsters. The room was very soon filled with blood stopping shrieks from the ReDeads. Even for such small creatures, they still created similar sound without any of trouble. It got cold shivers run down the duo's spines and forced them to stop fighting for a few seconds. Yet, those few seconds were enough for the ReDeads to get close enough and start to bite at their legs.

Link and Dark weren't only slashing at the monsters. They were kicking, punching and throwing the small creatures off of them but they were thoroughly outnumbered by the small army. Suddenly there was a loud crack and the room was filled with blinding light. It took a while before the duo could see again once the flash of the Deku Seed had vanished.

"Dark Link! Get rid of the Lens of Shadows!" Impa shouted while throwing the Deku Seeds in hopes of helping the two Hylians. Dark hesitated fully and glanced at the Lens which was still in his hand. "NOW!" The Sage screamed but the dark Hylian was still fully unwilling to get rid of the item.

"B-but... I... I need it..." The ex-shadow whispered nearly pleadingly. He didn't dare to look at Link nor at Impa, yet deep down he knew that the Sage was right. Still, he couldn't just throw the Lens off like it was nothing.

"Damn it, Dark!" The Hero growled and fought his way to the ex-shadow. "You either throw it off yourself or I'll throw it for you!" Link threatened in near rage before gasping in pain and turning his full glare into a tiny ReDead that had latched itself into his right arm. "Damn you..." He mumbled and took a grip of the monster before throwing it off.

"If you don't throw it NOW, these ReDeads will eat you two!" Impa screamed in near panic. She was still in midair and watching the creatures just come out of nowhere. Her Deku Seeds were of no use for other than blinding the duo.

The threat of getting eaten alive finally snapped the ex-shadow back into reality. "I'm sorry..." He mumbled before already throwing the Lens of Shadows as far as he could get it. The item crashed into the floor far behind the light of the torches and smashed into pieces.

Right after the sound of the glass shards was heard, the mini ReDeads gave out a shriek and turned into black smoke. The room was very soon lit by more torches further off from the podium. The new light showed a black smoke right above the destroyed Lens.

"The Demon..." Impa whispered and gasped slightly as she started to continue her descend down to the podium. Both Link and Dark were startled about the given information but they were very quick on getting close to the Sage. Once the Sheikah landed to the floor of the podium, she was standing surprisingly steadily unlike every earlier Sage the duo had rescued so far.

The black smoke slowly took a form and opened its golden eyes. As the demon brought out its four limps and the head started to form out better, Link carefully took out an arrow and started to light it. Yet, before he had a chance to get the Light Magic fully on or to get aim, Impa already placed her hand over the arrow and shook her head. "That won't work." The Sage told calmly. The Hero frowned but also got bit more worried of the situation.

"Then how...?" Link inquired while lowering his bow and arrow. The black smoke was still taking a form but it was nothing the Hero could recognize. It was like being a mix of several different enemies he had fought with but they were subtle and nearly unnoticeable features. Suddenly Dark gasped and fell to his knees while bringing his hands over his ears and slumping forward. "Dark!" Link screamed out and crouched down next to his brother.

Dark was trembling and breathing shakily as the cruel voice in his head was snarling at him. He flinched at the harsh remarks and tried desperately not to break down. The dark Hylian didn't hear a word the Hero was saying nor did he feel the touch when Link embraced him. The voice had fully taken him over and all he could do was desperately to try and fight against the voice but he knew it wouldn't be possible.

Impa watched with a confused frown as the ex-shadow crumbled to the floor and was having an internal fight with something. She was keeping slight eye on their enemy but the demon was still changing without finding a proper form it would've liked enough to stay as it. "Link! Look out!" The Sage shouted as a black tentacle shot towards the Hero.

Link didn't have any of time to try and avoid or fight back before the tentacle had already wrapped around him. He gasped in shock as it harshly yanked him away from Dark. The Hero struggled but couldn't get free from the hold as the tentacle lift him into the air and slowly tightened its hold.

"Link!" Impa screamed before already throwing a Deku Seed towards the demon. The flash of light forced the black smoke to back away and let go of the Hero. Link gasped as the crushing hold around him vanished and he started to fall down. He grit his teeth while forcing himself to land to his feet instead of crashing into the hard floor of the room. Yet, he fell to all four right after that while gasping for air. The hold the demon had had on him had been close of breaking his bones.

Suddenly a new tentacle came from one side and struck harshly into the Hero. He half screamed as the hit got him to fly a short distance before crashing to his side. As Link forced himself back upwards another tentacle was already coming at him before wrapping around his legs and lifting him into air.

The Hero gasped in shock before already growling and moving to stab at the tentacle. As he attacked the one holding him, he failed to notice the tentacle that was coming towards him. The black vine like thing let go of him when the blade of the Master Sword struck at it. Link grinned slightly as he tried to get ready to land into the floor again.

The second tentacle changed its movement very swiftly and hit upwards instead of going horizontally. The Hero gasped slightly as he noticed the threat but it was way too late. The harsh vine struck hard into Link's back and the Hero gasped in both pain and for the hit to strike his air out. He wasn't fully sure whether or not the tentacle had broken his spine by the attack.

The tentacle continued upwards and forced Link to change his position so he was falling head first towards the floor. "Shiiit!" The Hero thought in near panic as he realized not to have enough of time to change his position anymore. He knew even more that the way he was falling could easily cause his death so he closed his eyes tightly and prayed for the best.

Suddenly a tentacle struck nearly horizontally into his side. The hit broke couple of his ribs but it also changed his way of falling. Link half growled, half screamed at the hit before already gasping as he crashed into the floor side first. The Hero was gasping for air and desperately trying to get his body to move again when he felt a tentacle wrapping around his body. Very soon after that it raised Link's nearly limp body off of the ground. He growled slightly as he couldn't hold on to the sword and it was left into the floor.

Impa tried to save the Hero by throwing several more of the Deku Seeds but they didn't have any of effect anymore. The demon's black body was too thick and dark for the bright flash to have any of chances to cause harm. As it pulled Link up again, it created much thinner tentacles and brought them around the Hero. Those small vines circled around Link's arms and legs as the thicker vine held him from around his torso.

The Hero tried to fight back and get free but the tentacles were having too strong hold of him. Slowly the four thinner vines tightened their grip and Link growled at the pain. Suddenly he screamed as his left arm was snapped in two by a quick movement of the tentacle. His right leg gained similar treatment very swiftly after his left arm.

"LINK!" The Sage of Shadows screamed as she stared at the situation with wide-eyes. She knew there was nothing she could do and the Hero would eventually be killed by the demon if the situation wouldn't be changed. Impa growled and ran to Dark who was still desperately trying to block the voice out of his head. "Goddesses damn it, Dark Link!" The former guardian of the princess of Hyrule growled and very harshly slapped the ex-shadow into the back of his head. "Snap out of it!" She screamed in fury.

Dark gasped in shock and pain while moving forward by the hit. He blinked few times while gasping for air and he slowly raised his gaze up while being fully wide-eyed. Yet, very soon his confusion and shock turned into pure terror at the scene in front of him.

The demon let the four small vines move off before throwing the body of the Hero into air. As the first tentacle was left below, another one was coming with fast speed in slightly diagonal angle towards Link. The beaten Hylian gasped, closed his eyes and brought his arms in front of him. He screamed as the tentacle hit into him and got him to fly far past the podium and hit harshly into the floor back first before sliding nearly into the wall.

"LIIINK!" Dark screamed in pure horror as he stared the Hero get hit first by the tentacle and next by crashing into the floor. "LINK!" He shouted again before already scrambling to his feet and being ready to dash to his brother's side. Yet, the Sage stopped him by placing her hand over his shoulder.

"If you want to save him, then we need to finish that off first." Impa told sternly and nodded towards the black formless creature that was above the broken Lens of Shadows. Dark stared wide-eyed at Link whom hadn't moved even an inch after hitting into the floor. The ex-shadow growled while closing his eyes tightly and clenching his hands close. "Aim your anger at the demon, not at yourself." The Sage stated while carefully raising her hand off of the dark Hylian's shoulder.

Dark sighed heavily and turned around to face the demon. He raised his hatred filled glare into the black formless monster and slowly drew out his sword. "Impa... I need you to say my words out in Shadowy since I can't speak it currently." The ex-shadow whispered and took once a deep breath.

As Dark spoke the words in his mind in full Shadowy, Impa said them aloud in that hissing language of the Shadows. Out of the dark Hylian's request, she had raised her hand towards the demon and kept her gaze fully in the cruel eyes of the enemy.

"From Shadows to Shadows,

Hear my call.

Do not come forth,

But hear me out.

From Shadows to Shadows,

Give me the link,

For two swords to be so alike.

One to rebel evil and the other not,

To fight this Demon with what I got

From Shadows to Shadows,

Hear my call.

Do not let me fall,

As I fight for what is right,

Let this be the demon's end!

Dark had closed his eyes somewhere during the prayer but with the last word he shot his eyes open and ran. He jumped down from the podium, did a quick somersault and continued to run. The black formless demon send the tentacles towards him but the dark Hylian slashed with his sword and cut them into two. With each contact with the black tentacles the sword flashed blood-red. Soon the ex-shadow reached the enemy and just started to strike at it with all he got.

Impa stared wide-eyed as the dark Hylian attacked the monster. She knew what the words had meant in all reality but she doubted for the ex-shadow to have full knowledge of his own words. The Sheikah kept her hand straight and pointed at the demon. She wanted to glance at Link but she didn't dare to look away in fear of breaking the connection and so letting the demon free. Right now the prayer Dark had come up with was slowing the enemy down and keeping its full notion in the dark Hylian instead of anything else.

The ex-shadow moved slightly as he avoided the attacks of the tentacles along with cutting them in two. Yet, his full notion was in the demon in front of him. The sudden crack of a glass got him to glance downwards and frown slightly as he had stepped on one of the red glass shards of the broken Lens. Though, the bigger notion was in the visible and pained flinch the demon made as he accidentally broke the glass shard into smaller pieces. "I see..." Dark whispered and grinned nearly wickedly.

The dark Hylian glanced once at the demon before striking his sword through the handle of the Lens. The monster gave out a scream of agony while flinching like it would've been physically hit. Dark didn't stop there. He started to hack the broken Lens into smaller pieces. First he cut the round area off of the handle. After that he broke the glass from several places. Next he cut the round area into three different parts before cutting those into smaller pieces too. From there he returned to slash at the handle.

With each strike the demon screamed out and flinched. It couldn't attack nor mover. The demon was slowly shrinking and becoming more and more see-through and misty. Eventually the purple and pulsing creature came into sight. It had light and small wings. In its head was pair of horns. It had a short tail that ended into a triangle shaped blade. It had four claws in both of its feet and hands. The monster itself was colored blood red while a purple light was pulsing to and fro around it.

The true demon opened its eyes only to see the sword coming straight at it. The sharp blade slashed horizontally through the small monster and cut it into two. Dark held the darker version of the Master Sword by both hands and held it above his right shoulder while being fully ready to slash again would the beast be still alive. Yet, the demon closed its eyes and slowly fell towards the floor while vanishing. The black smoke vanished slightly before the demon. Right after the small creature was gone, the destroyed pieces of the Lens of Shadows vanished in black smoke.

Dark sighed heavily and relaxed while closing his eyes. Yet, he shot them open nearly instantly and turned around as quickly as possible. The dark Hylian started to run towards the podium while sheathing the sword. He swiftly and expertly picked the Hero's sword and shield up before already climbing up to the podium. Still, he didn't stop there.

The dark Hylian ran to the other side of the podium and jumped down. He didn't somersault this time as he forced himself to regain his balance and keep running before already hitting to the ground and skidding into a stop right next to the Hero. "LINK!" Dark screamed while looking fully terrified and worried sick for Link's sake.

Still in working:
1)
Do a drawing from one of my stories and I'll write you a story OR I can give bit of preview from upcoming chapters or next stories. =)
2) Send questions to Dark and/or Link! Also, other characters will be answering if you want to send a question for them! =)
