"Excellent work Miss Granger! I daresay, at this rate, I may ask the Headmaster to allow you to take seventh year classes next term." Professor McGonagall praised.

Hermione tried to hide her smile but her eyes sparkled maniacally at the thought of being able to start in second term seventh year classes while she was only a sixth year herself! Of course that would mean extra studying over hols in order to make sure she was equal footing with the seventh years and of course she would have to spend more time in the library…

The three Marauders scowled. They were not overjoyed at the thought of Hermione away from them and in other classes with older boys without their supervision. Of course, they knew they could never say that to Hermione's face.

McGonagall dismissed the class and Hermione fell in step with the Marauders as they walked her and Remus to Arithmancy before they went to Divination. Giving hugs to James and Peter, Hermione was engulfed in Sirius' lean form.

"See you at lunch darling." He whispered before pressing a kiss to the corner of her mouth and walking away, leaving a blushing girl and an amused werewolf behind.

And the game's afoot. Keep in mind, its about mid-November in the school term for them.
