Sakura Kiss

I sighed as I stared at the black gloves in my room.

They were a pair that Tenten had given me. Since our argument in the hospital, I haven't heard a peep from her since. Sai and I had agreed to postpone our Valentine date because of the school incident. I hadn't even gone back to see Hinata at the hospital. The guilt inside of me grew. Tenten was one of my oldest friends and it hurt me to treat her the way that I had.

Temari had come over the next day to talk to me but I treated her just the same and got into an argument with her as well. Both of them were really hurt as I pushed them away. They were making it hard with the look of hurt they gave me. I wanted to tell them everything but I didn't want them to end up like Hinata.

All for this stupid deal with Madara. Isolate myself from my friends in order to save Sasuke. I had to hurt them in order to save them all.

A shock of pain hit me as I gripped onto my shoulder. Even though Shizune injected something to slow down the poison from spreading, it was still painful. A knock on my door distracted me from the pain.

"Sakura?" A deep voice called out. It was Neji.

I frowned as I fought hard to keep a straight face and my voice normal. "What is it?"

"May I come in?" He asked.

"Now isn't really a good time." I struggled to say. There was a pause from the other side before I heard Neji sigh.

"Alright, another time then. I will be picking Yumiko from my Uncle's." Neji said as I heard his footsteps fade away.

I took a shaky breath as I slid to the floor and continued to grip onto my shoulder. Damn it all. I had to hurry and get this deal over with but how. My eyes darkened as I thought about Hinata in the hospital. I soon thought about Hikaru and how he used to live with us. I had an idea. But first, I had to get my mother goals out of the way.

I pulled out my phone and gave Shizune a call. I did my best to sound normal. I heard her pick up.

"Shizune, for my mother goal, what do you think of building a dorm on campus?"

X

"A dorm?" Tsunade questioned.

The next day I was siting in her office with Shizune and Kakashi.

"Yes, we've been getting new students, even international students. It would be good to have a dorm to house them in."

"Seems like a fine idea to me." Kakashi nodded. "Good idea Sakura." Shizune nodded her head in agreement.

"I agree." Tsunade smiled. "I will get that starting soon. Good work."

"Thank you." I said as I bowed.

"Now, how are you doing?" Tsunade said as the mood turned more serious. "Hinata Hyuuga was sent into the hospital. Do you have a clue to what or who was involved?"

I gulped as I remembered Madara's threats. I had to protect everyone.

"Sadly I don't." I frowned. I gripped onto my shoulder as Shizune came up to me and rubbed it.

"Is it still hurting?" She asked. I nodded as I heard her muttering about coming up with something to numb it.

"What happened to your shoulder?" Kakashi asked.

I looked at him in silence wondering if I should tell him or not. However, Tsunade beat me to it.

"Madara and Kabuto poisoned her a while back." She said as Kakashi gave me a worried look. "We gave her something to slow it down. I promise she will not end up like Obito."

"Rin told me he's been in the hospital for ten years. Is it a coincidence that both Itachi and Obito have been poisoned? They both must have known something!" I frowned.

"You're probably right, but they haven't had any signs of improving." Kakashi said. "Rin and I have been fighting the doctors on Obito. Luckily we have Tsunade on our side."

"We have to do something!" I said as I got up. "The more we wait and not do anything, the more people I care about are going to get hurt!"

"Sakura, calm down!"

"We have to hurry before-"I closed by eyes as I felt my eyes become watery. I quickly bolted out the door.

Why wasn't anyone doing anything? Did no one care? I shook my head and headed home. My head began to hurt but I ignored it. Sai and I were supposed to have a date today. My mood began to improve with that thought.

X

I headed down to the restaurant Sai and I was supposed to meet up at later that afternoon. I had received a text that he was on his way. He was a bit late and I was beginning to worry. I had hoped nothing happened on his way here. An hour had passed by as I frowned. It was still snowing lightly. Heading outside, I began to walk around the block to see if he was coming up. Nothing. I was heading back to the restaurant when I looked down the alleyway and saw a couple making out against the wall. My eyes widened when I realized just who those two were.
"S-Sai?" I called out.

Upon hearing my voice, the two pulled away. Raiko had looked at me with a surprised expression. A look of guilt flashed across their faces.

"Sakura…" Sai began to say but I quickly ran off.

Nothing was going right! Sai was still in love with Raiko just as Raiko was still in love with Sai. I tried to get in between that. I became angry with myself as I blindly ran through the crowd. I soon stopped as I tried to gather my thoughts. A bright light flashed at me. I looked to my left to see a truck coming towards me.

"SAKURA!" A voice said as I felt someone lunge at me, pushing me away from danger. I heard people around me chatting loudly. The person who saved me began to shake me hard. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

I looked to see a man with red hair and auburn eyes. Sasori…

"Sasori." I muttered. I saw Deidara running up behind him.

"Sasori! Is Sakura okay?" Deidara asked.

My eyelids began to feel heavy and Sasori had noticed this. "Sakura, stay awake!"

I began to feel dizzy as I felt my head fall back. Everything soon turned dark.

X

When I came to, I noticed I was in a bed. I realized I was in Sasori's room. I could hear Deidara and Sasori bickering out in the living room.

"She'll stay here. Obviously she's upset!" I heard Sasori say.

"We don't even know what she's upset about!" Deidara argued. "Look, I got a hold of one of them and they're coming right now to get her. I'm going to go buy some tea or something for her when she wakes up, un."

I heard the front door open and shut as Sasori came into the room. "You're awake." He pointed out.

"Yeah…" I said. I didn't know what to say. Sasori wasn't my brother and he had confessed his love to me. I thought back on Sai and Raiko and shut my eyes. I was done. I didn't care anymore.

'That's right. You don't need anyone but me!'

"Shut up." I muttered as I touched my forehead.

"Want to tell me what happened?" Sasori asked as he sat next to me on the bed.

"No." I said coldly.

The awkward quietness entered between us as Sasori sighed.

"Look, about what happened between us before. I shouldn't have done that." Sasori said. He sounded so tired. I sighed as I brought my knees to my face.

"Sai doesn't love me." I frowned. Sasori didn't say anything so I took that as a sign to continue. "He's still in love with his ex-girlfriend Raiko. I knew that and I still tried to make it work between us."

"Its not the end of the world." Sasori pointed out.

"Then why does it hurt so much?" I cried.

I felt Sasori scoot closer to me as he placed an arm around my shoulder. "It hurts because your feelings were real. But you'll find the right someone who will cherish you."

That's right. Sasori wasn't really my brother and he was in love with me. I wiped my tears away as I leaned my head onto his shoulder.

"Will you help me forget about Sai?" I asked as I placed my left hand onto his right.

Sasori's amber eyes widened before his other hand came to my cheek and caress it. I tried my best not to flinch. He soon leaned in.

X

"I'm back!" I heard Deidara say as he entered the house loudly. "How's Sakura, un?"

I had finished buttoning on the shirt Sasori had lent me. I watched the redhead sigh as he passed by me silently and into the living room.

"You're too loud." Sasori grumbled.

"Why I ough-why are you shirtless, un?" I could hear the frown in Deidara's voice. I soon heard footsteps heading our direction.

"Wait!" Sasori called out.

Before I knew it, Deidara had busted into Sasori's room and saw me. His blue eyes widened in shock as he took in my attire. He soon turned around and glared at his roommate.

"How could you?! I was just joking before. I left you alone with her because I trusted you wouldn't do anything stupid, un!" Deidara raised his voice. "Sakura, what did he do-"The doorbell rang as Deidara glared at us. Sasori didn't look at me as he went to open the door. Deidara followed after him.

"I'm here to get Sakura." I noticed that as Sasuke's voice.

"What took you so long?" Deidara frowned. "What the hell happened to you, un?"

I slowly came out of the room and towards the front door. I was shocked to see Sasuke with his cheek bruised up.

"Sasuke-kun…" I said slowly as I went and touched his cheek. "What happened?"

Sasuke said nothing as he took in what I was wearing. He then looked over to Sasori, noticing his bare chest. Sasuke soon took a protective step towards me.

"Its not what you think." I said in a soft voice. "Can we go home now please?"

"Hn." Sasuke held onto my wrist and led me out of the apartment. Before I was out the door, I heard Sasori say sorry before Deidara shut the door to yell at him some more.

Sasuke walked me to the passenger seat of the car as he got into the driver side. I slowly placed my seatbelt on as I waited patiently for Sasuke to say something. Yet he said nothing as he drove off into the night.

I started to get teary-eyed again as I brushed my tears away. My actions finally got Sasuke's attention as he placed his right hand on my left hand in a form of comfort. I looked up at him as I took in the bruises on his face.

"I got into a fight with Sai." Sasuke said calmly.

"W-What? Why?" My eyes widened in shock.

"Raiko and him came home and went to his room together. You two were supposed to meet up today, weren't you?" Sasuke asked.

I nodded as I tried to stop my tears.

"Ino told me you had a date with him. When you didn't come home, I knew he fucked up and I just lost it. He still had feelings for Raiko and he still led you on like that."

"Raiko was still in love with him as well." I mumbled. "You knew that already. Didn't you? You were the one helping Raiko with her plan to protect Sai."

"How did you know about that?" He questioned.

"Raiko told me." I said softly as I rested my head against the cold windowpane. I was tired and just wanted to sleep. I gripped onto Sasori's shirt with my free hand. Doing so, I felt Sasuke tighten his grip on my hand.

"Did you and Sasori sleep together?" Sasuke asked. I could hear the pain in his voice as he spoke.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I shook my head. "No we didn't."

But that didn't mean we didn't try…

.

.

"Will you help me forget about Sai?" I asked as I placed my left hand onto his right.

Sasori's amber eyes widened before his other hand came to my cheek and caress it. He soon leaned in.

I felt his warm lips against mine as he slowly pushed me against his bed. Almost immediately, it all felt so wrong. I was leading Sasori on. I was just going to hurt him like how Sai had hurt me. Sasori had lifted my damp shirt off, leaving me only in my bra. I began to tremble as the tears started to roll down my cheeks. I closed my eyes and wrapped my shaky limbs around his neck.

I heard Sasori sigh as he lifted some of his weight off me before resting his forehead against mine. "Damn." He muttered.

"Sasori?" I frowned in confusion as I opened my eyes.

"I'm not gonna try when you obviously don't feel the same." Sasori said as he got up and ran a hand through his hair.

"I told you I wanted to forget!" I argued. I felt angry.

"And I'm not the one you're in love with!" He shouted.

I blushed in embarrassment and looked away. Sasori shook his head. He began to take off his button up shirt and threw it to me. I placed it on only to realize how long it was on me. It fitted like a dress.

"Wear this. Your clothes are still a bit wet. I'll place them in the dryer." He said getting up and grabbing my shirt.

"Sasori, I-"

Sasori gave me a hurt look as he took a step away. He soon replaced his expression with a forced smile.

"It's okay. Wait for someone you truly love-whoever that lucky man is."

.

.

I was brought out of my thoughts as I looked up at Sasuke. I soon thought about Madara and frowned.

"Did your father ever give you anything of inheritance?" I asked.

Sasuke raised an eyebrow as he frowned as well. "No, the only thing he ever gave me was a green stuff dinosaur. Everything else went to Itachi."

"How funny, I have a green stuff dinosaur as well." I smiled.

"I gave mine away to a girl when I was younger because I accidentally ripped her other stuff animal apart." Sasuke said with a smirk.

My eyes widened as a memory came to mind. (A/N: the bonus story at the end of chapter 23). Realization hit me as I soon punched him hard on the arm.

"What the fuck, Sakura!" Sasuke said rubbing his arm.

"You were the ass that ripped my stuff bunny at the ice cream shop when we were kids."

Sasuke looked at me in shock. "You were that girl at the ice cream shop."

I shook my head in disbelief as I let out a laugh. Life was just too funny. "This is crazy."

Sasuke allowed a small smile on his face. "Do you still happen to have him?"

"Of course." I smiled back. "Its one of my precious items." I paused as I gave him a hesitant look. "Did you want him back?"

We finally got home and Sasuke had yet to respond to my question. He did however walk me to my room. Yumiko was already in bed, hugging the green dinosaur close to her. I went and placed the blanket high on her. I turned to see Sasuke giving me a weird look before a soft smile appeared on his face.

"Take care of him for me." He said as he began to close the door.

"Good night Sasuke-kun." I said.

"Ah."

X

I woke up the next day feeling much better. It was the weekend, which meant we could relax. Yumiko was still sleeping soundly next to me. The dinosaur had escaped her grasp through the night. However the silver haired girl, cuddled closer to me as she began to make crying sounds. "Mama…"

I frowned as I brushed a few strands of hair away from her face. What had become of Kabuto's parents? Why hadn't he done more efforts to find his younger sister? I soon thought back on what Sasuke said last night. He never received an inheritance from his father except the dinosaur and everything else went to Itachi. Maybe all this time, I was looking at the wrong brother. Itachi must have had it all this time! I had a feeling that's why Madara went after Itachi as well. I recall him wearing a necklace as well. I made a note to visit the hospital today. I also remembered what Madara wanted me to do. I had to work on that soon in order to save Sasuke.

I stepped outside my room to see Sai down the hallway. He had bruises on his faces as well. He looked at me. An expression of guilt showed on his face. I silently walked passed him as he grabbed onto my wrist.

"Sakura, wait…" He said. I immediately pulled my wrist out of his grasps.

"Leave me alone." I spat.

"I'm sorry." Sai responded.

"I don't care." I said. I'm sorry too Sai. I took a deep breath and gave him a hateful glare. "Stay the hell away from me. I hate you!"

Sai looked shocked at my words. I tried to hold my stand. It's for the best. The faster I do this, the faster everyone will be safe from me.

"If that's what you wish." Sai said as he walked away.

Making sure no one else was in the hallway, I made a phone call. The person on the other line picked up.

"Tsunade-sama, I need to talk to you."

X

I left a note for the boys to take care of Yumiko as I went out. I walked pass the Youthful café to see Lee working. I entered the café, brushing away the snow on my shoulders.

"Sakura-san!" Lee said surprised to see me. I frowned. I hadn't been visiting for a while. "What has you coming here?"

"I was passing by."

"Well luckily, you are here. Tenten, Chouji, Kiba, and Kankuro are the only ones helping me today! They're in the back. You can join us for lunc-"

"Don't bother Lee." I cut him off. He looked hurt by my tone but tried to brush it off with a smile.

"Is everything alright Sakura-san? Whatever is bugging you, I can help yo-"

"You couldn't even handle saving your shop on your own." I snapped at him. Lee, I'm so sorry.

"S-Sakura-san…." Tears formed in his eyes as he tried to hold them in.

"You're weak Lee! You also need me to help you! Be a fucking man."

"W-Where is this coming from?" Lee frowned. He took a step forward as I took a step back.

"Just don't bother me anymore. I realized that you're not worthy to be my friend."

At that moment, a knife flew to my direction. I easily avoided it with a tilt of my neck. The knife embedded into the doorframe.

"Tenten, stop!" Chouji said running and standing between the two of us.

"How dare you!" Tenten glared at me. "Lee did so much for you! How could you say that?

"It doesn't concern you." I frowned at her.

"It does when a bitch like you come and attacks my friends." Tenten said.

"I heard from Tenten and my sister but I didn't want to believe it." Kankuro said. "What's going on with you?"

"Just stick to your dolls and stay out of it." I said. Kankuro's mouth dropped in shock

"You aren't the person I looked up to. Leave!" Tenten said pointing to the door.

"With pleasure." I glared as I walked away.

"Sakura, wait!" Kiba called out running after me. I grabbed the knife that Tenten had thrown earlier and threw it at his direction. The blade had left a shallow cut on his cheek. He froze in his spot as he slowly reached for his cheek.

"Be a dog and scram." Kiba turned red with anger at my words and shook his head.

"I don't know who you are anymore." Kiba frowned. "Don't bother us again."

"You don't have to worry about that." I said as I walked away.

When I made it a good distance away from the café, I looked up and felt the snow hit my face. This was too painful. I dreaded coming home knowing Tsunade would do what I had asked her too.

X

When I did arrive home, I heard arguing coming from inside. I took a shaky breath and I pulled myself together. I opened the door to see the boys gathered around the living room with Hiashi Hyuuga, Shibi Aburame, Asuma, Yamato, Kakashi, Jiraiya, and Shizune facing them.

"Sakura-neechan!" Yumiko called out as she ran and hugged my legs. I patted her head and told her to go into our room. There was an air of hostility in the room.

"Sakura-chan!" Naruto called out. "They just came into our house and told us they were going to take us away."

"Naruto…" I spoke, not knowing what to say.

"They can't do that to us. We're family!" Naruto cried interrupting me. "Tell them they can't do that Sakura-chan!"

"Naruto, shut the fuck up!" I growled. Everyone looked at me in shock.

"Sakura." Kakashi began to say but I raised a hand to stop him.

"I asked them all here." I revealed. The boys looked at me in surprise.

"What's the meaning of this Sakura?" Neji frowned. "You've been acting weird recently."

"It is what it looks like." I said. "I asked these men to come in and take custody over you since all of you are not of age yet. Sasuke will go to Kakashi. Jiraiya will take in Naruto. Sai will go with Yamato. Shikamaru will go to Asuma-sensei. Shino will go back with his family. Neji, since you are the only one that is, its your choice to move out own your own or move back with your uncle."

"Sakura-chan, why would you try to separate us?" Naruto asked.

"Sakura-san found a loophole to the mother goals." Shizune explained. Everyone turned to look at her. She looked like she didn't even believe what she was saying. "She will be selling the house to pay the rest of the debt she owes."

"You can't do that!" Shikamaru said hurt.

"Fuck that." Sasuke said. "You didn't even ask us if that's what we wanted!"

"Its none of your concern." I said. "We have hired people to pack all your things and bring it to your new homes tomorrow."

"No." Shino said. "I will not leave."

"You don't have a choice." I said glaring at him.

"How could you just give up on us?" Naruto said as he came up and pulled me by the collar of my shirt. I couldn't look at him. "Look at me!" He shook me hard.

"Naruto, enough!" Jiraiya said stepping in.

I slapped Naruto hard across the face. That caused everyone to become silent. I soon grabbed onto the collar of his shirt, making sure I grabbed onto the necklace as well.

"You will do as I say!" I ordered. Something in Naruto broke as he shoved me to the ground. I shoved him back as I successfully pulled the necklace off him. He didn't notice due to his anger. He tackled me as I landed on my back and him straddling me.

"I can't believe you! Tell me this is a joke!" Naruto said as tears rolled down his cheek. He punched me across the face as my held tilted to the left. My face felt hot. I said nothing as Jiraiya grabbed Naruto back. Kakashi helped me to my feet. I quickly put the necklace in my pocket.

"Naruto, enough! That's your sister!" Jiraiya said.

Naruto glared at me. "That's no sister of mine."

The words hurt. But it was my fault anyways. "Get out of my sight. All of you." I said.

"Sakura…" Shizune frowned. "I don't think it will be a good idea to have Yumiko with you."

"I see. Will you be taking her in then?" I smirked.

"No, since the Hyuuga family have helped taking care of her, I decided it would be in her best interest to let them continue to do so." She explained.

"NO!" Yumiko cried. Everyone looked up at the stairs to see Yumiko covering her face with her hands. "I don't want to leave Sakura-neechan alone! I want us all to stay together!"

"Yumiko…" I said taking a step forward. The child shook her head as she ran back into my room. I sighed. "I'll talk to her. I will leave you all to discuss your new living situations."

"That's it then?" Sai frowned.

I ignored him as I headed towards Yumiko's direction. Once I entered my room, I finally allowed the tears to roll down my cheek. "Yumiko…" I sobbed as I fell to my knees. Yumiko immediately ran to me and I held her tight. "I'm so sorry. I'm so so sorry. I have to do this. I have to do this in order to save everyone. Please understand that."

"S-So you don't hate me?"

"No, of course not!" I said wiping tears away from her face. "Just keep this between the two of us okay. If you tell the guys, they will be in danger and we don't want that."

"I-I won't say anything." Yumiko said as she began to hiccup. "Does it have to do to with your bruises?"

I inwardly smiled. She was too smart.

"Yes, this is the only way I can make sure no one else gets them. Okay?" I said sticking my pinky out.

Yumiko looked at my pinky. A look of uncertainty appeared on her face before she entwined my pinky with hers. "Pinky promise."

I gave her a kiss on her forehead. "Now run along now. Neji will take care of you."

Yumiko nodded as she ran out of the room. I quickly locked it and gathered the things I needed. Making sure I had everything, I quietly escaped through my window to someone who I knew would help me. But first, I had a three more people to take care of.

X

I stared at Hinata peacefully sleeping in her hospital room. She was still recovering from her injuries. The doctors had found some head injuries and wanted to make sure everything was all right with her before they released her. I had texted Ino and Gaara to meet me in Hinata's room. Only half an hour before visiting hours ended.

I closed my eyes knowing there was no turning back from this. This final act would destroy the last friendships I had. I stared at the IV bag that was connected to Hinata. I could hear Ino's loud voice in the hallway as I opened my eyes. It was time.

I traced a finger down Hinata's face. The action caused her to wake up. Her eyes looked at me in confusion as she realized who it was.

"S-Sakura-chan?" Hinata called out before a smile appeared on her face. It quickly dropped as she saw me break down crying. "W-What's wrong?"

"I'm so sorry." I cried. "

I quickly grabbed her tightly around her neck. She began to struggle under my grip. The machine in her room began to beep rapidly. At that moment, her door opened as Ino and Gaara entered.

"Sakura! What are you doing?" Ino screamed as Gaara came rushing towards us. He immediately pushed me away as Hinata gasped for air.

I looked at my hand as it trembled before I looked at back at Hinata and Gaara. He turned to glare at me as I quickly ran out of the room. Ino followed after me, right before the nurses ran into Hinata's room. I slowed down when Ino and I entered an isolated hallway.

"Sakura! What the hell? Why did you do that to Hinata?!" Ino yelled at me.

"It's none of your concern. Just go back to Hinata." I said. I had my back turned to her.

"I got a phone call from Shikamaru telling me what had happened back at home! What is going on with you Forehead? Everyone has been telling me you've been acting weird. I'm here to help if you just let me!"

"You have no idea what I'm going through." I turned around and snarled at her.

"That's enough Sakura! If you continue this, you're going to lose me too!" Ino cried.

"Better now than later." I said. Ino glared at me as she slapped me hard across the face. It was then she noticed the bruise Naruto had left.

"Sakura-I-"

"Is that all the little princess can do?" I taunted.

"You're not my best friend!" Ino said shoving me. "I didn't want to believe the others. Gaara and I didn't. But what we saw you do to Hinata…" Ino paused as she shook her head. "We're through. Never come near any of us again!"

With that, Ino walked away as Gaara finally made it to where we were.

"Saku-"Ino cut him off by pulling him by the wrist.

"She's not our Sakura anymore." Ino said as they turned the corner.

I wiped the tears and headed to Itachi's room. He was still in a coma. I noticed the necklace around his neck as I quickly took it off him. All this time, Itachi had the third piece of the clue we were looking for.

"I'll save Sasuke-kun. I promise you that." I whispered as I left the room.

I ran out of the building to see Killer Bee on his motorcycle waiting for me.

"Yo!" He greeted. "Did you get what you needed to get done?"

"Yeah." I muttered as I hopped on.

"It's time to go, baby!" He said as he drove us away into the night.

I hope that wasn't TOO much going on for you. I wonder what Sakura is going to do next now that she has the necklaces she was looking for. Wait til next time!
