I glanced up from my Blackberry just in time to watch Ella do a perfect cartwheel. I smiled and gave her a thumbs up when she looked over at me. Ella had started taking a beginner's tumbling class last week and she was loving it. My Blackberry buzzed and I glanced down at the screen again. Naomi had just sent me a text asking to meet her at the Practice tomorrow morning. I sent a quick text back saying that I would meet her around ten. Then I focused my attention back on Ella's class. She was doing really well and I felt the pride swelling up in my chest. I was that kind of mom, I got overly emotional and proud over everything. Like last week Ella recited all her ABC's to me and I was a proud and crying wreck. I mean she was only four and she already knew her ABC's. Even Derek had admitted he was proud, not to the same extent I was though. Henry and Benjamin also made me extremely proud just by being the honest and kind little boys that they already are. After the class finished Ella ran over to me in her hot pink leo with the biggest smile on her face. She ran up to me and gave me a hug.

"Hey Ella bug. Did you have fun?" I asked. Ella nodded and pulled out of the hug to beam up at me.

"I love it!" She exclaimed. I smiled back down at her and pulled gently on one of her pigtails. Ella giggled.

"Go put your sweatpants on okay. I'll be waiting right here." I promised. Ella nodded and ran over to the wall where her gym bag was sitting on the floor. She reached into the bag and pulled her sweatpants on. Then she fished around in her bag for her socks. Her instructor came up to me and pulled my gaze from her.

"Are you Ella Shepherd's mom?" She asked. I nodded and offered her my hand to shake.

"Yes, hi. I'm Addison Montgomery-Shepherd." I answered she smiled and shook my hand.

"Ella is great. She is so talented. I was actually wondering if you had thought about our general gymnastics class instead of just tumbling?" She asked. Ella appeared next to me again with her warm-ups and sneakers on. Her gym bag was slung over her shoulder. She was ready to go. I smiled and ran my hand over the top of her head.

"I hadn't. I'll have to talk to my husband." I answered. She nodded.

"Well, we would love to have her. The other coaches and I see some good potential." She told me. I nodded and smiled down at Ella. She was bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet and watching us with great interest.

"Alright, we will keep that in mind. Say thank you for class today Ella." I said. Ella smiled and waved to her coach.

"Thank you! See you Friday!" Ella said happily. I smiled and took her hand as I led her out on to the street. The gym wasn't far from the subway station. We took a leisurely stroll down to the subway station and just enjoyed nature and each other's company. I loved having afternoons with my baby girl. When we got back to the house Derek was sitting on the couch in the living room watching cartoons with the boys who were laying on the floor.

"Hey babe. How did it go at tumbling?" Derek asked. I smiled and leaned over to give him a kiss on the forehead.

"Ella did awesome." I answered as I pulled away. Derek smiled.

"That's awesome Ella bug. Addison, will you give her a bath? I already got Ben and Henry. I'll start on dinner while you do that." Derek offered. I smiled and nodded.

"That sounds like a plan. Come on Ella bug let's go put on pajamas." I said and offered my hand to Ella. She smiled and nodded and then took my hand and allowed me to lead her upstairs.

Callie came into my office and flopped down in the chair across from my desk. I glanced up from my paperwork to give her a worried look.

"Something up?" I asked. Callie shrugged and played with the end of her hair.

"Maybe not?" She shrugged. I sighed and shook my head.

"Are you sure? Cause you've got that look." I pressed gently. Callie smiled.

"I'm just kinda jealous of Naomi." Callie confessed. I cracked a smile.

"Do you want another one already?" I asked. Callie nodded.

"I think I do." She confessed. My smile grew a little wider.

"So, have you told Arizona?" I asked. Callie shook her head.

"Breaching the subject is a lot harder than you think." Callie answered. I shook my head.

"You better do it soon, I can't handle you being this mopey." I told her in mock seriousness and looked back down at my paperwork. I could tell Callie was rolling her eyes at that one. "Are you hungry?" I asked after a few moments of silence. I glanced up waiting for her response. She shrugged but nodded anyways.

"I can always go for food." Callie decided. I smiled and put my pen down.

"Want to take a cab up to Central Park and get some food?" I asked. Callie shrugged and stood up from the chair.

"Oh, why not." She agreed. I smiled and grabbed my purse before walking out of my office. I was surprised by how easily we grabbed a cab.

"So why is it so hard to breach the subject with Arizona?" I asked as we sailed through an intersection. Callie was about to answer when a blur of yellow raced into my side vision. I hardly had time to react before the cab collided with ours. The car crumpled into my left side the force knocked me into Callie before her own force knocking into mine pushed me back into the shattered window. Before I could even register any pain everything went black.

That took a turn I seriously wasn't expecting. Please don't hate me too much guys. Drop a review and tell me what you thought. Much love, Jane Torres-Cooper.
