Let's start writing chapter 53 because finishing chapter 52 somehow inspired me! Haha, anyway, to chapter 53! Oh but one thing, I saw this thing where the author posted the songs that she listened to while she wrote, maybe you guys would be interested in the songs I listen to?

Amu's P.O.V:

"Does it still hurt, it's forming a slight bruise." Persephone placed the ice pack on my cheek gently and I smiled at her.

"Your mother slaps hard, I guess I can now understand the mother-in-law jokes I always hear." She laughed and I held the ice pack, allowing her to look through the grand kitchen. It was like one of those that you would see in the fancy hotels, and I never thought I would be sitting in one.

"I really should apologize for her, she can be quite cruel, and her mind is never open for anything that doesn't involve her way." She sighed, clenching her fists but they quickly relaxed, as if she was trying to make sure that I didn't see them.

"You should not have to take responsibility for her, she says that you act like a child but yet she is stubborn like one." I reassured her, Jewel opened the kitchen doors.

"You have a visitor, Persephone." Jewel informed her and Persephone rolled up the sleeves on her yellow sun dress.

"I'll deal with her this time." Persephone growled and Jewel raised her arms up to stop her in her tracks.

"I think you would be rather glad to see this visitor." She giggled softly and gently took Persephone's hand, she gestured for me to follow them and I did just that. We ran into the throne room and saw a beautiful woman standing there, but it was not Demeter.

Her black hair flowed to her waist and she quickly looked over her shoulder, her brown eyes were filled with love and excitement as soon as Persephone appeared in the room. Her white dress flowed elegantly as she turned to face us fully, smiling brightly.

"Hera!" Persephone exclaimed, jumping into the woman's arms, Hera let out a beautiful laugh and stroked her blonde curls.

"It has been far too long, my spring seed." Hera said and Persephone pouted.

"Is that what they call me behind my back still? That is just terrible of you Hera." Persephone pretended to be angry and turned away to look away from her, but smirked slightly once she knew Hera couldn't see her expression.

"I suppose this is your daughter." Hera approached me and I grew nervous, was she going to treat me just like Demeter did. Her pale hands reached to touch my hair and she smiled. "It is natural, what a beautiful color for a goddess."

"Thank you." I blushed lightly.

"The Goddess of Death, if memory serves me correct, that is your title?" I nodded and she smiled. "But I was never told of your name."

"Hinamori Amu, pleasure to meet you." I greeted her properly.

"Hera, Goddess of Woman and Marriage, I suppose I should be bowing to you." Hera joked around, Persephone swatted her shoulder.

"Don't be so formal, then again, you never change." Persephone giggled.

"Perhaps, but I actually came down here to deliver news."

"How come Hermes did not come down then?" Persephone questioned her.

"I would never pass down an opportunity to see my best friend." Hera explained. "Your father, Zeus, wants to hold a ball for your daughter's return. Since none of the gods or goddesses at Mount Olympus have seen her yet, he wanted his granddaughter to have a proper introduction."

"When is this ball?" I asked.

"Tomorrow night." Hera bit her lip and Persephone's eyes widened.

"Tomorrow night!? What about preparations, we need to find a gown!" Persephone began to panic, mumbling different things that she said she would need for such a ball.

"You know how he is, he goes with the moment and does not care about such things like preparations." Hera tried to calm her down but to no prevail.

"An entire ball just for my arrival?" I repeated quietly to myself. What if the gods and goddesses do not accept me like Demeter, what am I supposed to do then?

"Do not worry Amu, we will make sure everything goes smoothly." Persephone chuckled nervously, playing with one of her blonde curls. It seems as if Persephone was a nervous wreck herself, but I wonder how she will be the night of the ball.

I laid down on my bed, hoping sleep would just help me take away these terrible thoughts of tomorrow night. I closed my eyes and felt darkness take over me, but a golden light appeared and my eyes shot open, I looked around and saw my room. What was that?

"Sleep well?" I heard and jumped out of the bed, my face colliding with the ground below. I groaned and the woman chuckled, I looked over the bed to see the woman with pink eyes.

"You scared me, but how did you get out of my mind?" I asked and she laughed.

"We are in your mind, you are still sleeping. Remember how I can depict an image for you in your subconscious, I am doing that right now." She stood up and I nodded, we have been through this so many times that it was normal now.

"But you truly came out, when you killed Saaya." I whispered, but I could tell she could hear me.

"Yes, it was the peak of our powers so I could expose myself for a short time, but I went a bit insane with the power. Your body passed out because of all the power I absorbed on that last shot, so I apologize." She said and I shook my head.

"It's fine, but it feels like you have something to show me as well." I said and she smirked.

"It seems as if we are one after all." She said and walked out of the room, I quickly followed behind her. We walked out to the garden and I was a bit confused as we headed deeper and deeper out into a dark forest. We stopped in front of a wilted flower and she knelt beside it, so I followed.

"Amu, you hold a very special power within you that needs special training. No one else can give you that training beside me, so I decided to first tell you." She stuck out her two hands in front of me.

"Your parents come from two different worlds, Hades is from a world of death, and Persephone is from a world of life. Persephone has given you the power to allow flowers to bloom in spring and brings life to the fields." A golden orb appeared in her hand, floating above her palm.

"Hades gave you the powers to command the dead and see back into their memories." A dark one appeared in her other hand. "When their bodies connected to create you, their powers combined as well into a beautiful combination." She clasped her two hands together, slowly opening them again to reveal a purple orb, a fog surrounding it. "You have the powers to brings life to the fields and command the dead like the both of them, but you also claimed the powerful gift to bring the dead back to life." She explained and my eyes went wide, did I really holding something like that.

"Is that why Saaya wanted me, to bring her mother back?" I asked and she nodded. "How did she even know?"

"The Sword of Five Bloods, once it is connected to you, it whispers secrets in your ears, but Saaya was greedy and the sword eventually took control of her. Her father though, he did not go insane from the sword." She turned to look at me with a grave expression. "Akako wanted freedom for his people, nothing to do with greed. Everyone thought that he went insane, but no one truly knew the full story. The sword told him the events of the future, and he told his people that, including Saaya. Saaya waited centuries for your arrival, far before your own birth. Once you were born, she was not going to give up until she caught you.

"The only thing was that she didn't know what to do, she thought that the once piece of information would be enough, but if she ever caught your soul, she wouldn't even know what to do with it." She stared at the wilted flower with a blank expression. "I want you to touch the petals of this flower, focus to bringing it back." She instructed and I nodded, cautiously reaching for the flower. The petals were brittle and I was afraid that they would turn to dust. I focused like she told me to, to bring the vibrant color back to the flower.

I closed my eyes and imagined it blossoming under the bright sunshine, I exhaled deeply and opened my eyes once again, a bright light surrounding the flower and I saw the stem straighten out, the petals becoming soft under my touch. It was a violet flower, stained with a darker purple inside.

"I did it." I smiled and she nodded.

"You are capable of great things, you can even form flowers if you wanted, but that is a lesson for another day." She patted my back and everything went dark, as if my eyes were closed. I opened them and saw I was back in my bedroom, so it was just my subconscious.

"One last thing, do not tell anyone of this power, you do not know how they will react or if they will try to use you." Her voice said and I nodded. I would understand why she wouldn't want anyone to know, I stared down at my hands, I do not want to be used by anyone anymore.

"Amu, are you in here?" Someone knocked.

"Come in." I called and Ikuto opened the door, my heart lightened at the sight of him.

"You heard of the ball?" He asked and I nodded.

"Of course." I said.

"I guess I should do this properly." He rolled his eyes and stood in front of me, his arm over his stomach and he bowed, his other hand reached out to me. "Hinamori Amu, will you please allow me to accompany you to the dance?" He said in a mocking voice, I giggled and took his hand.

"No thanks." I shook my head and he looked up, I burst out into a fit of laughter on the bed and he smirked.

"You think you can get away with that?" Ikuto said and my laughter ceased, he crawled onto the bed and pinned me down to it, hovering over me and I blushed. His lips met mine and I closed my eyes, leaning in to deepen the kiss.

"Was that supposed to be the punishment?" I pulled away for a second then brought myself back to him, I felt him smirk against my lips.

"No, this was." He sat up and began to tickle my sides, I started laughing and couldn't escape since he was on top of me.

"I-Ikuto!" I spat out, tears in the corners of my eyes from laughing so hard.

"Better think twice next time." He chuckled and finally stopped, I took this chance to regain my breath.

"I'm so nervous though, you saw how Demeter treated me, how will the rest of them feel about me?" I sighed.

"It's their loss, they miss out on a beautiful friendship with an amazing girl like you." He said and I grinned.

"Thanks, that calmed me a bit." He smirked once again at my response.

"I know how to calm you." He leaned down once again, his tongue licking my neck and I shivered. He began to suck at my neck and I reached for his hair, tugging at the soft, midnight-blue strands. Suddenly, I felt his fangs poke at my skin and I felt my body go numb slightly when he dug in.

"Ikuto..." I tried to stop him but it turned into more of a moan. The pain was quickly replaced with the familiar pleasure, I felt light-headed but I didn't care right now. Ikuto finally let go of me and wiped the blood from his mouth, I touched my neck and felt the two holes.

"How am I supposed to hide this?" I panted, I was completely out of breath again.

"Just keep your hair down, but did I calm you down?"

"Yes." I admitted.

"I'll go get you a snack." He said and got up, walking out and leaving me alone with my thoughts.

"I think it looks great." Persephone said and Hera shook her head disapprovingly.

"You wonder why I never allowed you to pick your formal dresses." Hera sighed and looked at me. The dress was completely pink with pink roses all over it, it was a bit too much though.

"I don't have to wear this, do I?" I looked at the dress once again, it was completely cringe-worthy.

"Well Jewel thinks it's great, right?" Persephone turned to the nymph, Jewel smiled sheepishly. "Maybe if you put your hair up then it would-" Persephone approached me.

"No!" I replied quickly, she backed up and stared at me strangely. "I don't like the way my face looks with my hair up." I chuckled and she raised a brow, I looked away from her. I wouldn't know how she would react to the bites, so for now, I just won't tell her. After Ikuto got me that snack yesterday, he left the room so I could rest, but my heart beat quickly at the thought of his fangs on my neck.

"Jewel, can you find a more attractive dress?" Hera asked sweetly, Jewel nodded and ran out of the room.

"The guests are arriving at eight, I need to pick out my dress and then decorate the ballroom."

"The ball is being held here?" I asked.

"Yes, Zeus demanded to see what we did with the place." Persephone mimicked his deep voice and Hera slapped her over the head.

"Do not behave so childishly." She scolded and Persephone pouted.

"You're so mean Hera." Persephone huffed, her cheeks turning a light red. No matter if she was my mother, she acted like a child, but that wasn't always a bad thing. It's actually reassuring, maybe the gods and goddesses wouldn't mind if I wasn't as mature as them.

"How about this one?" Jewel walked in, a black dress in her hands, I was unable to make out the details with the way she held it.

"Let us see, try it on Amu." Jewel handed it to me and I ran behind the changing screen, taking off the horrid dress and slipping the black one on. I stepped out and they all gasped, Persephone's smile took over her face right after the moment of shock.

"You look stunning!" She shouted, jumping up and down, the other two nodded in agreement. I looked at the mirror on my right, observing the dress. It was a black, strap-less dress, the fabric flowed like water around my body as I looked at it from every angle. It had white roses scattered at the bottom portion of the dress, I think it did fit it nicely.

"The black of the dress represents her position in the Underworld, and the white roses represent the purity that a goddess and a woman should have. Great choice Jewel." Hera said and Jewel blushed.

"Jewel, pick my dress!" Persephone commanded and Jewel laughed, running out of the room again. "I can also get a nice flower crown for you, I can make one quickly!" Persephone walked over beside me, placing her hands on my shoulders. She was the same height as me, and it made it hard to think that she was my mother.

"Thank you." I whispered.

"Even though I see them every summer and spring, it is still hard. They say such cruel things about Hades, besides Zeus. If they only saw his true beauty, it would make it so easier." She rested her head on my shoulder. "This will be hard to me as well, so let's get through it together, alright?" She smiled brightly and I nodded.
