Prompt: Their first kiss for Beau2809

It should have been somewhere deep in a garden, or chastely at a ball- they were both royals after all. But it wasn't- they weren't typical royals, and it wasn't a typical first kiss.

They had both been kissed before- Caspian's extremely uncomfortable kiss with Susan, Lucy's entirely too wet kiss with a boy named James. But this kiss was different- it felt...so right. Like two pieces of a puzzle clicking into place.

It was desperate. It was rough, and far too short. They had been captured and were being dragged off by slave traders in separate directions. They had one second of closeness left and Caspian used it to free his hands, bring them to Lucy's face and kiss her square on the mouth. Driven by fear and desire, they clung to each other until they were ripped apart.

After they were freed...it was awkward to say the least. Lucy refused to look at him and practically ran to her cabin. Caspian debated staying on deck, acting like nothing had ever happened, but he refused to lose his best friend over mistaking her feelings for him. He knocked on her door, with every intention of apologizing.

But when she opened the door, blue eye blazing, hair cascading down her back- well, every intention he may have had flew from his mind. He stared dumbly until she pulled him into the room, shutting the door behind them. Then she stood on her tiptoes and kissed him. This kiss was much gentler, not rushed or driven by fear. It was driven by love. They held each other, rather than clung- no one was there to rip them apart this time. Caspian broke their kiss to lay kisses on her nose, cheek and forehead before holding her closer and whispering, "I think I've fallen in love with you."
