So… that just happened. Haruhi was just as lost as I was. Like, I knew that Honey's family were great martial artists, but this is crazy. Shuriken? Staffs? Is there anything these guys can't do?
"Hey guys, I'm completely lost. You wanna tell me what's going on here? Who's that kid and why did he attack Honey senpai?" Haruhi asked.
I heard Niko chuckle behind me, "for a smart girl, you're pretty oblivious Ru." The red head just seemed to be sitting behind everyone, hiding.
"What? You mean you can't tell just by looking at his face? He's Honey senpai's younger brother." Tamaki explains to Haruhi who just seemed dumbfounded.
So this kid, he really is Honey's brother? How did Niko know that? Of all people she was not the one who I had imagined who'd have to tell us.
Everyone began to move towards chairs, and Chika sat on the couch by himself, "The Haninozuka's are a noble family. We excel at martial arts. We've combined styles over the years to create our very own method of fighting. When we're away, we study karate and judo, but when we're home, we work hard to master the Haninozuka technique. So, to make sure that we always stay alert, we've been taught that whenever two family members come face to face, they must engage each other in battle."
"I get it now. They were fighting because their family makes them." Haruhi comes to a conclusion.
Tamaki wanders over holding a slice of cake on a place which he had snatched from Honey before he ate the last piece. "Go on, Yasuchika. We've saved you a yummy piece of cake."
The cake was placed in front of the middle school child, "Thank you, but I don't care for sweets. Besides a basic principle of the Haninozuka technique is refraining from selfishness. So to let myself indulge in sweets would be out of the question."
"I wouldn't call eating something sweet being selfish?" I sat down on the same couch as him. "Surely one small piece of cake isn't going to hurt you."
"Hold on. I happen to know of a sweets-loving overly pampered little loli boy who happens to be…"
"The next head of the Haninozuka's."
"And he's sitting right over there." Hikaru and Kaoru speak together.
That look in Yasuchika's eye, I've seen it before, in Azalea's eyes. There's so much resent in the small boy's eyes towards his brother, that I don't know how to handle it. "Let me just say, there's no way I'm ever going to recognize a dimwit like Mitsukuni as the next head of our family. There's no doubts my older brother is strong. But he lives a decadent life style and has failed to show any self-restraint. He no longer has the right to be called a Haninozuka."
I looked over to Honey, who just seemed to be taking it all in. He even stopped eating his cake, "I can't allow someone who arbitrarily quit the Karate Club only to become hooked on cake and stuffed animals to be the head of the Haninozuka family even if he is my older brother. I've been meaning to make that clear for a while. And another thing, Mitsukuni, I've said it before and I'll say it again, stay away from me at school, got it?"
And with that, he left the room. Poor Honey…I can't believe that someone could say that to their own family. "Honey…are you ok?"
He was just unresponsive, looking at the small piece of cake in front of him, which was only a mouthful left. He then stood, holding his rabbit tightly as he walked over to the window, staring out at it with a longing in his eyes.
I wanted to go and ask if he's ok, but he looks like he could burst into tears at any moment. What should I do?
A soft hand touched my shoulder, and Tamaki smiled at me. "Honey senpai, so what should we do with this cake?"
And just like that, he was back to his old self. "I'll eat it!"
"I guess everyone has their own strange family issues to deal with." I swear I saw Haruhi look at me quickly. But she's not wrong. "So, you used to be in the Karate Club, Honey senpai? I had no idea. What made you decide to quit and join with the Host Club?"
Niko spoke up, "Yeah, the Karate club is on hell of a lot cooler than this 'Host Club'."
Tamaki sun to her faster than lightning, "Why did you just say the Host Club like that? What are you getting at, huh?"
"Karate club is cooler than this club. You guys don't even do anything." She shrugged with a smirk.
She's egging Tamaki on for a reaction.
"WE ARE A VERY PRESTIGIOUS ESTABLISHMENT AND YOU SHOW IT RESPECT! IT'S MY PRECIOUS BABY!" He screamed in her face before running off to cry in the corner.
She rolled her eyes, "Fuck you're nuts." She mumbled to herself, leaning back against the pillar.
"She's right though, no matter how you cut it, the Karate club is a much more reputable club than ours is, senpai."
"If you really want to know,"
"We'll have to take a little trip down memory lane,"
"It was long before the Host Club had been established,"
"Listen up, and we'll tell you the legend of Honey Senpai, the captain of the Karate club…"
..
As Niko listened to the story, a lot of things began to make sense. Why she heard about Mitsukuni Haninozuka was frowned upon in the karate world, and why she began seeing more of Yasuchika Haninozuka. He didn't follow the traditions of their families.
And she knew what would happen if you didn't follow your families orders. She knew quite well.
But finding out that the master of the Haninozuka clan was brutally beaten by his own son? Now that's impressive.
"Rumour has it the referee that happened to be officiating was Japan's Secretary of Defence at the time and he begged Honey senpai to never fight in public again, at least not at his full potential." Tamaki continued to explain. Niko had met the referee once, before that match occurred, but they say that afterwards, he was never the same.
Haruhi was confused, "And why would he do that?"
"If the world ever saw Honey senpai's true abilities, they'd suspect Japan of possessing a weapon of mass destruction. The secretary was afraid it might upset the UN and then they would take it out on all of Japan."
They're kidding right? She thought to herself, rolling her eyes, Japan literally has Artemis and the Red Lady running around the city, and yet nothing has been done about them.
The twins cried onto each other, "How awful!"
"So, Honey senpai quit the Karate club, and decided to become a member of the host club." Kaoru spoke, looking to the red haired girl in the room, who just stared back, before turning to the boy in question.
"All things considered, Honey senpai's behaviour is too unconventional for even the Haninozuka's to contain."
"So, because of that, his younger brother had a more strict upbringing. One more in keeping with the Haninozuka standard."
Honey had climbed onto his cousins shoulders, just like he always did, before muttering, "Sometimes I think Chika-chan hates me because I'm not following the family rules."
"All right, gentlemen! Time for operation, Haninozuka Brothers Reconciliation!"
Niko was taken back by the sudden outburst, not to mention the roses flying around the room. One she had to dodge out of the way just so it didn't hit her face. "What the fuck was that?" She muttered, almost in disbelief.
The twins seemed ecstatic that their leader had said it, shouting hurray with joy.
There seemed to be only two people who don't share the same joy. These are the only two other females in the room. "I knew he was going to say that."

…
So, after Tamaki announced that we're starting this new operation, they had us walk down to the karate club building and spy on Chika.
I'll tell you what, watching the karate club do their training exercises was kinda cool. It kinda made me wish I learnt Karate! How cool would that have been! Like, in the middle of a fight, when someone is expecting magic, I'll just give them a round house kick to the face!
"You don't need karate lessons." Haruhi scolds, "You'd get too lazy to do more than three classes. Especially if you have Chika as a sensei. He just made them get back to lessons without giving them a break!"
"Doubt you'd last five seconds in the ring." Niko smirked, watching the karate students in awe.
I arched an eyebrow, "You don't think I can fight?"
Niko laughed, "Oh I know you can fight. Just not like that."
"Oh yeah? Come on, let's go!" I challenge, tapping my chest. To be completely honest, she could probably kick my ass in hand to hand combat. I don't think she noticed that she would mimics the moves the karate club was doing. They were only small, but I did manage to catch them. It's like a dance, when they're sketching through a dance when their song comes on in public.
"Bring it." She says, before grabbing my hand and twisting it behind my back, and pushing me into the twins.
"Oh shit." I mumble, as Hikaru catches me, trying to steady me.
There was genuine concern in his eyes, "you ok?"
He helped me back to my feet, "Yeah, I'm good."
"This is boring." He complains, "Well, so far it looks like a simple inferiority complex."
"He's always being compared to Honey senpai so that's why he feels such animosity towards him. His older brother is more attractive, more popular, and a better martial artist than he is. I think he's just letting his jealousy get the best of him." Kaoru sighs at the situation.
They then speak together, "It's totally normal and way boring. We're gonna go find something more entertaining!"
Then they begin to run off.
"Hold on! Come back here you two!" Tamaki shouts, making the twins stop, "Why are you suddenly being so uncooperative?"
The shrugged with boredom, "Well, we thought there'd be an interesting secret reason they're fighting. This is just lame."
"But guys, Honey is your friend, should you want to help?" I question.
Tamaki nods, "Aren't Honey senpai and Chika's feelings exciting enough?!"
A small tug at my hand pulled me to look down, "It's okay, Gi-chan, really." He says with sad but brave eyes.
"Honey…" I whisper, crouching down to his level.
"It's alright." He gives me a sweet smile, "Don't worry about me. So what if Chika-Chan hates me? I would be happy just seeing him grow up to be strong and healthy. He is my brother after all."
"Umm, he's already a lot taller than you, Honey senpai."
"Yeah, he's pretty grown up and plenty healthy."
How could Honey just stop fighting for family? Sure I wasn't crazy about the whole operation that Tamaki concocted, but for honey to just give up on his brother? It breaks my heart.
The doors to the Karate Club slammed open, with a glaring Chika standing there. "Excuse me, could you guys keep it down?" He asks, fairly politely, but the glare given off by his glasses made it impossible to see his eyes from this angle now. "What are you doing here? I thought I had told you to stay away from me at school, Mitsukuni!" growls, threatening his brother.
But it wasn't a threat, it was a fight. Chika leapt straight in for a kick, with all of us surrounding them. I was tugged back by my collar, causing me to stumble out of the way of the flying kick. "Woah."
"Thanks Niko." Haruhi smiled at her.
That girl is really strong…it's crazy. And she's fast. There's something about her, no human can move that quickly. But then, she doesn't radiate magic. So what is it? Like, in Haruhi I could sense there was something was there, even though it was really faint.
"You alien, would you just leave me alone?"
"But, Chika-chan…" Honey trailed off hugging Usa-chan tightly, but we seemed more interested in the fact that he had just call his brother an alien.
"Out of all the words you could have used, you said…alien." Niko tried to wrap her head around it, "Seriously kid?"
The twins looked to one another, "What's he mean alien?"
"Why would you call him that?" Haruhi asked, "just because your brother is stronger than you are doesn't give you the right to call him an alien."
"Yeah, why are you so upset about cake and stuffed animals?"
Chika sighed, "Well, if it was just about the cake and stuffed animals, I would never have said anything. Let's get this straight. I didn't call my brother an alien because he's stronger than me. Have any of you ever seen him devour an entire cake?! Don't tell me you guys think that's perfectly normal! He has three whole cakes every night for dessert! Seriously, three cakes a night! And he never gains weight!" Chika screams pointing at Honey.
"So, Honey senpai eats that way at home too…" Tamaki notes.
That boy is going to get another cavity. I can almost guarantee it.
"And then something crazy occurred last week. I happened to wake up in the middle of the night and I noticed that the light was on in the dining room, so I had a look inside and the he DEVOURED THRE GIANT CAKES RIGHT BEFOREMY EYES!"
I sighed, "There you go. That's why he thinks his brother is an alien."
"Come on, be honest… You know there's no way that a regular human being can eat that much cake! Aren't you terrified?! I bet he gets signals from his home planet through that weird bunny of his! Why can't you see that he's an alien?!"
Niko just raised her eyebrows, "did that just make sense?"
"I mean, you're not wrong…"
"I don't know though… There was a time when Mitsukuni and I got along really well. While it's true that my Brother has always had a fondness for cute things and more of a sweet tooth than I have, I still respected his ability to avoid that stuff even though he loved it. And then this idiot came along and brainwashed him with some ridiculous nonsense, something about acknowledging who you really are and just being yourself. That that's true strength. Not long after that he fell apart and became the alien he is today!"
Tamaki…it's Tamaki's fault. The boy paled.
"Oh, I see. So all of Chika's troubles…"
"Can be traced right back to you. Isn't that true, Boss?"
Tamaki began dancing around like an idiot, trying to defend himself, "What are you talking about?! I didn't mean to! There's got to be some way we can fix this! Come on, you guys!"
I look to Mori, silently asking him if there is anything we can do. "There is a way to solve this, you know."
"Oh shit, he speaks." Niko raised her eyebrows in surprise.
"So Mitsukuni, you know what to do."
…
Tamika
…
Jumping, that's easy right? Jumping silently, not so much. But she made it look easy. She was fast, she was swift, and she was determined.
The cool marbled floor felt smooth beneath her bare feet, as she began to run down the halls.
Here we go again… She thought as she followed the magical trail of her two older sisters. They come here often enough for there to be a strong trail as to where they would be, not to mention that they talk really loudly.
Her sparkly blue eyes were able to see that there was someone standing down the end of the hall.
She was dressed into Fireon armour. The reds, browns and golds seemed to stick out in the dimly lit area.
With her silent breathing, she snuck up on her, targeting the one weakness on the armour. It's the pressure point next to their shoulder pad. The armour is designed to protect them against other magic, not hand to hand combat.
Let's face it, a Non-Enchanted isn't going to pick a fight with someone who can burn their skin off easily, right?
Well, that was her thinking anyway. She narrowed her sparkly blue eyes on the guar, creeping up behind her with her hand outstretched. She knew this was going to work, it had to work. She had been studying this for days.
Once she was close enough, she struck, hitting the guard on the pressure point on her neck.
She stumbled for a second, but did not fall. She only turned around sighing, "You're really trying this?" She said with boredom in her voice, "Seriously Tamika?"
Tamika stopped for a moment, eyes blinking at what didn't work, before back flipping away from a fire ball being thrown at her, "Oh come on! I practiced really hard on that!" She cried out, bounding around from place to place.
"Stay still!" The guard shouted, spinning in circles trying to hit the girl.
The little blonde was light on her feet, springing from place to place, before she jumped on the guards back. Now, Tamika isn't your typical Fireon. Oh no, she doesn't fight with a different kind of magic, and seems to use it better than any Fireon that she knew.
Her hands heated up, to such an incredible temperature that she was able to bend the metal on the helmet that the guard wore. She tightened it around her head, so it wouldn't come off easily, just to blind the girl.
Tamika jumped off, watching as the girl struggled to pull it off. She bit her lip, watching as the guard was clawing at the metal around her eyes, but Tamika didn't stick around for long. "Sorry Charlotte!"
So she was back on her trail, following the magic residue that her sisters left. It was really easy today, she got past the guards with such ease. Today was the day that she was finally going to see him again.
The boy that she fell so madly in love when she first laid eyes on him. Finally, she'd see him, and hopefully convince him to be hers.
She stopped at the large, vine decorated door, which was fancy enough to be one of the main features of the castle. Well, it probably was before her sisters had burned the Fireon symbol into the door. The three point flame was everywhere now days. On buildings, doors, rocks…people…
Butterflies flittered around her stomach as she gripped the golden handle of the door, pushing it open with almost an effortless shove.
The first thing she saw was the throne. A single, red throne sitting alone, with a long red carpet leading up to it. The curtains that hung on the golden rods had been burnt at the hem, and the room smelt of smoke. "So much red…" She mumbled to herself looking around the room.
She could sense him. She felt the connection between them, and there was no way she would ignore it. He was here, and full of magical energy.
Tamika smirked, jumping away from the spot she stood, like she was a cheerleader. Bouncing from her feet to her hands, perfectly finishing it off with a finishing pose. There, where she was standing only moments ago, was a charred circle in the ground.
With a small giggle, she looked upwards. "Hi sweetie."
The look of pure evil did not bother her, and those red, glaring eyes didn't even make her flinch. That feeling of nerves in her stomach weren't from fear…they were from the fact that her soul mate was standing just there.
Flames licked at his hands as he held two fireballs there, before all hell broke loose.
Balls of fire were being thrown at the moving target, but she was so light on her feet and unpredictable that he couldn't tell where she was going to land next. And she loved that she had that edge on him.
Tamika grew up around what her sisters called 'Circus Freaks', so she learnt the acrobatics, she learnt to be unpredictable from the magician, and to have fun with it from the clowns. They were a great group of Non-Enchanted Folk.
The blonde girl laughed, bouncing around without a care in the world, showing off the spring in her step, and any complicated move she could muster to get out of the way and impress him.
But after a while of this, she knew she needed to get closer, and maybe, show him how she fights. Well… if you could call it fighting.
She pulled at one of the red ribbons which decorated her hair, and she let it hit gracefully float to the ground whilst she hand the one end. It was much the same as a whip, especially when she used it like she could.
The magic in the air changed, and she caught a glimpse of a flaming fist flying at her. All she did, was giggle and move to the side.
Everything is moving in slow motion. She, wrapped the ribbon around his hand, before taking off again. She bounced over him, then, like a child, began to run around him in a circle.
Taking a step back from the scenario, one would think that this cartoonish behaviour wouldn't be possible. It shouldn't be possible, but here it is, working like a charm. And in only a few short seconds she had the man of her dreams wrapped up in her…ribbon.
A giggle escaped her lips as she bounced next to him, giving him a small kiss on the cheek. "Sorry Honey!"
Blayze was fuming.
But still, she was not worried by the murderous look in his eyes. He wouldn't be able to give that look in a moment. With one good tug, she pulled, sending him spiralling through the air like a spinning top. He then crashed to the ground, before standing up quick again, trying to fire another spell at her.
It missed. She didn't even need to try dodge it.
She could see him trying to stop the spinning room. He leant one hand against the wall, and it looked like he was going fall over. Tamika noted the magical change in the air, and knew he was preparing to use his magic.
So, she did the only logical thing she could think of. She jumped up, grabbing the part of the curtain that held the rod up, melting it almost instantly. The rod fell, giving him a good knock on the head.
She smiled, looking at her work. Whilst it pained her to hurt him like that, it does also she off her skills. He'll be hers by the end of the day, now that he's seen what she can do. Or at the very least, he'll let her stick around, and be a warrior.
"Soooooo…" she stretched out her word, walking up to him, hands clasped behind her back, "what did you think?"
His red eyes snapped up, a deadly glare sat there, piercing her blue eyes, but that wasn't what worried her.
"What do I think?"
The sudden cold on her feet was what worried her. Her feet were covered in a sheet of ice, which wasn't melting no matter how much she increased her temperature by, she couldn't break free.
"I think that you move too much." He fire in his hand grew, as he held it out to her face.
But she did not flinch. It didn't even phase her. She wasn't scared, but her mind was pre occupied.
"You're not scared?" he asked, as he searched her eyes for the tiniest sense of fear. But could not find anything.
She shook her head, "Nope." Her tone was so casual, so simple, that there were no traces of fear even in her voice, "My feet are just really flipping cold right now and I can't melt it. Not to mention the fact that you have ice powers." She smirked, "That's pretty cool." She couldn't help but wink.
The boy in front of her looked almost amused, but hid it well. "I think you're an idiot." He said as he melted the ice around her feet, "But, you could be useful."
Her eyes lit up as she bounced up and down excitedly before bounding into his arms, "OMG REALLY?! YOU'LL LET ME STICK AROUND?! YESSSS!" she have him a quick kiss cheek, before he dropped her. But she still landed on her feet.
Blayze sighed, rolling his eyes, "Leave, before I change my mind."
"But I wanted to spend time with you!" She complained, pouting to the taller guy.
He rolled his eyes again, "Leave."
His voice was cool, and demanding, but still very powerful.
Tamika pouted like a child, before turning on her heels and leaving the room, shutting the big wooden doors behind her.
Then, she screamed. Pure excitement echoed down the hall, and she bounded up and down once again. Their first date had gone so well! She couldn't be more happy. But there was one thing still on her mind.
Pausing her excitement, she peaked back through the door, seeing her future husband slumped on his chair, tired and angry. "Just so you know, I kinda blinded one of your guards. Her name is Charlotte, so if you could fix tha-"
She had to slam the door shut to avoid getting hit in the face with a ball of fire. But, yet again, un-phased, she opened the door, "Thanks Honey!"
