I don't own Big Time Rush! I only own Meghan Knight & other unfamiliar faces! Please review & favorite for more!
Kendall stood outside of the room his son was in during daycare, some of the other parents stood out there as well. Kendall felt a bit odd because he was the youngest parent there and he always got weird looks from the other parents.
Kendall heard a beep and turned, it was the phone of one of the dads. Kendall exhaled and looked into the room from the window, he sees Jacob laughing as he plays with the blocks before they start to clean up. Suddenly Kendall heard someone walk next to him.
"Picking up your little sibling?" A female voice asked.
Kendall turned seeing an older women, he hadn't seen her at the daycare before. Likely knew to these parts, she had long brown hair and brown eyes. Her outfit was something classy but also didn't want to look trashy.
"No, I am actually picking up my son." Kendall said.
"Son? But your just a baby yourself." She says.
Kendall awkwardly smiles, "Yeah but I am eighteen. I am an adult now."
She looks at him, "Are you taking care of him all by yourself?"
He shakes his head, "My mom helps out when I am at school. She works during the daytime, that's why I decided to put him in daycre. That and to meet friends." Kendall said.
She eyes him, "And what about your son's mother?"
Kendall shifts his eyes, "I told my friends that she has a strict schedule with her private school but in reality- she doesn't want to be in his life."
The women exhales, "That's a damn shame."
Kendall rubs the back of his head, "Not really if she doesn't want to know him that's her fault. Besides, once I graduate high school I am going to find work and also start classes at the community college near here."
The women smiles, "I am glad you've thought this through. Most kids your age would be terrified to care for another human being."
Kendall chuckles, "Believe me I was scared at first but now- I don't know. I kinda like having that squirt around, he makes me feel complete."
She smiles, "Kids can do that."
Kendall nods, "Oh by the way my name is Kendall."
"Nancy," Nancy said.
Then the door opened and out came the kids, the ages were anywhere from one year old to four. These kids were of course different gender and even race. Jacob saw Kendall and ran over, the two year old ran straight for him as Kendall knelt down to hug his son.
"Hey buddy," Kendall smiled, "How was your day?"
Jacob poked his head out, "Fun! I made a new friend!" He spoke.
Kendall smiles, "Really?"
"His name is Timmy." Jacob smiles.
Nancy turns seeing her two boys coming over, the boys looked so much like her. One being six and the other being two just like Jacob. Jacob points and smiles at the two year old who belonged to Nancy.
"Him! He's Timmy!" Jacob laughs.
The boy called Timmy smiles, "Mama this is Jacob!"
Nancy turns to Kendall, who was still knelt down at the same height of his son. Nancy formed a smile on her face.
"Well Kendall, maybe we can schedule play dates for these two." Nancy said.
Kendall looked up at Nancy, "Oh that would be great."
Nancy looks at her wrist watch, "Well kids we better go. Daddy will be getting off work shortly. Say goodbye to your friends."
The two boys waved goodbye and headed out with their mother. Kendall messed with his son's hair and he picked up on his back, the two began to leave. Kendall overheard the other parents mentioning him under their breathes. How he was a teenage parent, how he got a girl knocked up, how he messed up his whole future just to have sex.
Jacob was placed in his car seat and as Kendall drove them home, he hears how his son's day was. Though there were times when Kendall would zone his son out just to think about what those parents think about him and then snap himself out of it.
Once he pulled up in the driveway and parked the car he heard Jacob still rambling on. Jacob was taken out from his car seat, and the boy ran into the house to tell his grandma how his day was. Once Jacob and Kendall entered the house there was Katie reading a book, Meghan playing video games with James, and Mrs. Knight doing her taxes.
"I'm home!" Jacob screamed with a big smile.
Kendall rubbed his son's hair, "Jacob use your indoor voice."
Jacob gasped, "Oh! Sorry." He covered his mouth afterwards and laughed.
James poked his head up to see Jacob, "Wow he's gotten big."
Meghan nods, "He sure has."
Jacob ran over to his Aunt Katie, "Auntie! I made this for you." Jacob handed her a bracelet.
Katie smiled, "Oh Jacob. That's so thoughtful." She hugged him.
Jacob giggled and ran to Meghan, "I made you one too!"
Meghan smiles, "Oh thanks little man." Meghan then messed with Jacob's hair.
He giggled, "I made one for grandma and daddy!"
Mrs. Knight took hers from Jacob, "This is beautiful."
Jacob smiles, "Thanks grandma."
Then Jacob hands his to his dad, Kendall picks his son up and hugs the little guy.
"I love it." Kendall says.
Mrs. Knight gets up, "Jacob wanna help grandma make dinner?"
Jacob smiles, "Yes!"
With that said the two left the room. Kendall fell onto the couch and Katie scooted over for him, Meghan and James turned to face him. The couple were cuddling against the couch while they were playing video games. Kendall exhales and rubs his hands on his face.
"Tired bud?" James asked.
Kendall nods, "Yeah."
Katie shrugs, "Well this is a good reason why Meg and I aren't having sex. Thanks big bro."
Meghan made a face, "She didn't mean it in that manner."
Kendall glanced at his baby sister, "Oh I know."
James grins, "How is he handling daycare?"
Kendall nods, "Good. He's made some friends."
Meghan smiles, "That's good."
Kendall heard his phone ring, he pulled it out and looked at the caller ID. It was Lucy. Kendall stood up and left the room, he knew his sisters and best friend was probably wondering who was calling him but he didn't want to hear it from them.
"Lucy, hey." Kendall answered.
Lucy sounded tired, "Hey Kendall. Sorry for calling out of the blue."
Kendal chuckles, "Sounds like I am not the only one who is tired."
Lucy giggles slightly, "Well I had tennis practice after school."
"Tennis, never pictured you in tennis." Kendall replied.
"There is a lot about me you don't know." Lucy answered back slyly.
Kendall rubbed the back of his neck, "Yeah I would know. Is everything okay? You haven't called over three months."
Lucy sighs, "Its been complicated here."
"Complicated how?" Kendall asked sounding concern.
Sure Kendall and Lucy are not a couple and Lucy has finally accepted it, but Kendall does look after Lucy like a good friend. Lucy is the mother to his son and Kendall will help her if she needed help.
Lucy groans, "The academics here and rules."
Kendall nods, "I see."
Lucy sighs, "I won't be around to visit for a long while."
Kendall looks into the kitchen, "How long?"
"I'm not sure. Maybe a few months or a year." She says.
"A year!" He shouts.
Lucy sighs, "Kendall I- have a life here."
Kendall was angry, "And it doesn't involve our son?"
"Kendall, I'm sorry." Lucy said.
Kendall rolls his eyes, "Like hell you are."
Lucy sounded upset, "Kendall- I gotta go." She hung up on him.
Kendall exhaled and paced in the dinning room. He looked out the window seeing the swing set for Jacob as the sun was setting. He leaned against the window and put his phone in his pocket, he glanced up seeing Meghan standing there.
"Need to talk?" Meghan sounded concerned.
He shakes his head, "It's fine."
Meghan took a few steps, "Kendall- you're overloading yourself with all of this."
Kendall looks at his sister, "It's nothing to worry about. I just- I need to figure some things out, though."
Meghan hugs her brother, "If you need to talk I'll listen."
"I know." Kendall replied with.
A shout from the kitchen shouted, "Dinner!"
I wanted to make Kendall a little more adult like since he is a father now and I want to show that there is some stress going on with the teenager that he isn't sharing with anyone.
