What happened last:

Finn found himself waking up in the Fire Kingdom unexpectedly after Flame Princess kidnapped him and now the Candy kingdom is being threatened with a declaration of war. Now he needs to get back in time to defend everything before it's too late.

Maja: "I'm declaring war against the Candy Kingdom. You have approximately 24 hours to prepare." She said in a low and demonic sounding voice.

The room fell dead silent after that sentence was said. The video turned off shortly after.

Princess Bubblegum sat and stared at the screen with empty eyes. Her lip began to quiver as her mind began to comprehend the gravity of the situation. She's protected her kingdom for hundreds of years without anyone that could stand a chance in taking it down… until now.

The massive army of the undead was terrifying. It was massive and full of ruthless murderers, thieves, criminals and every possible demon that's ever been involved with wrongdoing. Most of the undead beings on Maja's side were raised from the dead and had no other way to repay her other than fighting for her in this war.

Bubblegum's heart kicked into gear and she forcefully pushed herself from the table and ran out of the room, yelling commands throughout the castle.

PB: "Peppermint Butler!" She screamed. It was obvious that there was a great deal of fear in her cracking voice.

P. Butler: "Yes, princess?" He said as he ran into the room and took a knee. Whenever he's not doing anything involving dark magic, he's waiting for the princess to give him any command. He may have things that take up his time but the princess always comes first for him. No matter what.

PB: "Rally the troops. There's an army threatening the Candy Kingdom and I need everyone to be prepared."

P. Butler: "At once, princess. Do you want me to signal the sirens as well?"

PB: "Y-yes. Do whatever you need to. I'm turning over the command of my armies to you for now. I have other things to deal with.

P. Butler: Of course, your royal highness…" He said happily.

Peppermint Butler turned his back to the princess and dark thoughts began to fill his mind. He already knew how many undead beings that he would have to face and that didn't bother him. He was convinced that he could unleash all of his dark magic finally and the princess would not stop him.

Finally, he could show the princess that dark magic can be controlled and useful when done correctly. His corrupt heart knew nothing but what he wanted… to be the lord of all of the dark worlds and to keep the princess the most powerful leader in Ooo.

Even he didn't understand his own desires. He loved the princess as a sister and would die for her. But… he also has a passion for dark magic. He never had a problem with differentiating which was more important but the coming was could possibly cause some problems…

The princess had only one last request for the humble servant.

PB: "Peppermint Butler, get all of the leaders of my armies and police force in my office in five minutes. We have much to discuss."

P. Butler: "Yes, Princess. You'll see them in your office soon."

The princess left the room to prepare herself for the upcoming battle before the meeting with all of her war "generals".

She went to her room and walked up to a very seldom used chest in the corner of the room. It had a sleek suit of armor in it. It's the armor that the princess used whenever she had to join a battle in fear that she may lose it if she didn't participate. She was a skilled fighter because she's had much to fight about during her life but she wasn't the best.

She placed the smooth yet sturdy armor on her body. She knew that it offered her all of the protection that she could need but it still didn't feel right. She had a gut feeling that the day would not end in a victory.

After putting on the armor, she went to her rarely used war room to find that all of the leadership in charge of her banana guard and army were sitting in anticipation for her arrival.

The most senior army person stood up and yelled for everyone to stand for when Bubblegum arrived. Usually, there was no "highest rank" or most senior person. Most of the soldiers and guards just did the right thing. But sometimes… they needed a leader. Someone fearless and passionate to taste victory. Someone to motivate the masses to deliver death to their enemies. Someone to show that the Candy Kingdom is here to stay and anyone who stands in the way of it will perish.

General Pretzel was an outstanding general. Nobody really ever told him that he was the leader, he just acted as such and everyone followed. And they saw victory every single time.

PB: "At ease, everyone. Thank you, GP." She thanked the general with a nervous voice. She was still terrified of the rapidly approaching army. Time was of the essence…

PB: "So… many of you may not know this yet, but we're going to be attacked… by a very large force. I'm not sure how many-"

GP: "-Excuse me, Princess. There are about 50,000 personnel in the undead army. If we had your elite warriors at the front line we would have a very good chance of winning this battle and ultimately the war." He interrupted, knowing that his information would change the conversation entirely. He knew the taste of battle and how to quench the thirst of victory.

PB: "Ok, Good. You and Peppermint Butler prepare all of that. I have to find my royal elite." She said and hastily left the room.

First, she was going to find Marceline. She back to the kitchen but found her going back and forth through the hallways as fast as she could, as if she was looking for something.

PB: "M-Marceline?" She said as she chased after the distraught vampire queen.

She didn't respond; she just kept going. It was painfully obvious that something was troubling her and it wasn't just about the impending attack.

After a few attempts of calling out to Marcy, Bubblegum finally decided to physically get her attention. She approached the vampire queen quickly and placed her hand on her shoulder to get her attention before she floated away.

PB: "Marceline, what's wrong?" She knew something was bothering her but she didn't know what it was.

Marceline slowly turned around to face Bonnibel. She was crying. Her heart was full of fear and dread for everything that was sure to transpire in the coming hours.

M: "I can't find Finn…" She went in to hug the princess; needing a shoulder to cry on.

Bubblegum knew what this possibly meant. Maja is on the verge of a full-on assault and Finn is nowhere to be found. He was to be the greatest warrior in the fight and he disappeared without an explanation.

PB: "D-don't worry… we'll find him." She was even more terrified than before. Was there a spy amongst her castle staff?

She comforted Marceline for a few moments before getting serious again. Normally, she wouldn't let anything, including her friends get in the way of important business. But recently, she's been changing her outlook on life. Friends and family should always take precedence over everything.

PB: "Now Marceline, I need you to call Jake and get him over here. We'll need him and Lady to help out in the fight.

M: "O-ok. And… thanks, Bonnie." She wiped away her tears and forced a smile.

PB: "Anything for you, Marcy." She smiled back and left the room to take care of other things to prepare.

Marceline called Jake and him and Lady immediately went over to the Candy Kingdom. It took them a bit longer to get there because they were visiting their kids at their apartments.

There were candy people running around the Candy Kingdom everywhere, trying to prepare for the attack.

Everyone was getting back to the war room, to include Marceline, Jake and Lady Rainicorn when the small tremors started.

PB: "What's that?" She said and the room got quiet. She was in the middle of briefing everyone how she wanted them to defend. It was surely the most effective way to do it.

She got up and walked out of the castle and towards the front gate of the Candy Kingdom. Everyone else in the room followed her. They all needed to know whatever was going on as much as she did.

The gate was closed as it should have been but Bubblegum told the gate guards to open it just enough so she could exit.

Once she was outside the gate she could see the terrifying horde of the undead. It was massive and it was coming straight for the candy kingdom. There was a massive dark cloud coming over the horizon making everything look more evil and horrifying.

Everyone stood there, paralyzed by the sight of the undead army headed for the Candy Kingdom. Their hearts grew cold and their legs felt frozen.

Suddenly, the horde of the undead stopped and got silent. A single demon began sprinting across the space between them and the Candy Kingdom, wielding a white flag. Everyone was on their guard but they didn't anticipate that the demon would attack.

The ugly and mutilated demon approached and handed the princess a piece of paper. It was obviously a message from Maja. She read it out loud.

PB: "Over the mountain, the ominous cloud coming to cover the land in a shroud. Hide in a bushel, a basement, a cave but when cloud comes hunting… no one is safe."

The message was obviously mentioning the dark cloud looming over the horizon. Maja found a way to make a generally innocent nursery rhyme into a terrifying threat.

Bubblegum turned the note over because she felt something wet on the other side. There were a few words written in blood.

PB: "First Blood is yours."

PB: "Huh? What's that supposed to mean…?" She was confused with what the cryptic message was truly intended to mean.

Then the demon quickly took out a jagged looking dagger and stabbed itself in the chest repeatedly. It kept jabbing the knife into itself until it died a very agonizing and bloody death.

It was shocking to watch but it explained what the message meant. The battle was about to begin and it would start any minute now.

PB: "P-peppermint Butler, get everyone ready and on the front lines. It's time." Her voice cracked and sounded raspy. She was trying her best to keep her composure but anyone who just witnessed what they all just saw would challenge even the toughest of mental constitutions.

P. Butler: "Everyone, follow me please." He said in his normal voice, as if what he saw didn't seem all that strange to him; seeing something sacrifice itself soo willingly for someone.

All of the leadership followed Peppermint Butler back inside. From there they were instructed to go to their soldiers and banana guard and bring them outside the front gate to make a stand.

Bubblegum was left standing outside the gate by herself. She looked at the menacing horde of demons and various monsters just standing there… waiting… watching… anticipating.

The wind gently blew through the Princess's hair as her legs remained still, not daring to budge in fear that the army may think of her movements as an assault. She was caught in a thousand yard stare as terror and fear clenched her heart threatening to take away her kingdom and all of her citizens. The kingdom that she's fought soo hard to build from the ground up and protect.

She's fought battles before and she's had to rid the world of many things trying to take her down but it's never been on a large scale such as this. She always fought with confidence and prowess because she always went into a fight or battle with a four to one ratio. But now it's very different and she's out of her comfort zone. In fact, she's about as far away from it as possible. It's about one thousand to one and she has to call on all of Ooo to even stand a chance. She doesn't know how skilled these enemies are. If they have little experience then they have almost no chance. But if they have a little bit more than some experience then they are already all dead.

She was frozen in the spot that she stood. She felt nothing but her heart thumping as if there was a hammer pounding on the inside of her chest and the chilling breeze. It was a relatively warm day but it got much colder once the wolves were knocking at Bubblegum's door and all they were selling was death.

M: "Princess…?"

PB: "Y-yes, Marceli…?" She stopped in mid-sentence.

PB: "Why did you call me "Princess"? You never do that." She kept gazing at the evil army across the way.

M: "I… I don't know. I guess it's something that I got from Finn. He says full names and proper titles and stuff when he's nervous or upset or something."

PB: "Hmmm… Interesting. So… what did you want?" She said as she turned to face Marceline.

M: "I was just letting you know that I just contacted the other kingdoms. They're all coming immediately except for the kingdom of Lumpy Space."

PB: "Why aren't they coming? I've been their ally since like… forever!"

M: "We'll LSP answered…"

PB: "Lemme guess… she's still upset about the whole "gossip time" thing isn't she?"

M: "Yeah…"

PB: "Ok… let's get everything else prepared. I'm sure Maja's army is just waiting for a fair fight."

M: "We'll isn't that nice…" She said sarcastically.

PB: "Yeah…" She sounded out of energy although her adrenaline was slowly flowing through her veins.

Six minutes later

All of the personnel from the Candy Kingdom were in position outside the front gates. There were some relatively skilled banana guard archers placed on the outer perimeter walls high up so they could defend as efficiently as possible. Her army wasn't massive by any means, but it was still impressive for the size of the candy kingdom.

Many kingdoms offered their own armies and volunteers from their castle guards to fight as well. Most of the armies from the other kingdoms were comprised of mostly volunteers. Even though it was mostly optional, everyone on the battlefield was ready willing and prepared to lay their life on the line to defend the Candy Kingdom as well as their own. All of the kingdoms that were present would all fight to the death for one another.

There's a reason why they still exist.

The kingdoms and villages that provided fighters were the Breakfast Kingdom, The Goblin Kingdom (surprisingly), Hot Dog Kingdom, The Earldom of Lemongrab, Marauder Village, Slime Kingdom and Wildberry Kingdom.

The goblin kingdom was a surprise because they agreed to help but it's only because the goblins are bloodthirsty and their silent king, Whisper Dan, apparently told them that this battle was something they had to partake in.

The Hot Dog Kingdom wasn't expected to be of much use but they couldn't just say no to the princess of the Candy Kingdom. They had been helped by them many times over the years and they weren't going to remain idle as it was torn to pieces.

The Earl of Lemongrab felt that he was obligated to help even though he didn't seem to care for the princess much or even her kingdom for that matter. He decided to send his "less preferred" citizens to the battle.

The Marauder Village was a bit surprising as well because they had virtually no ties to the Candy Kingdom but they couldn't pass up the opportunity to roughhouse with demons, zombies, skeletons and other undead creatures.

The Slime kingdom couldn't provide real soldiers to the battle but they had technology. They still had an army of slime tanks sitting dormant in the basement of the slime castle. They would be able to provide much support for the war.

And the last kingdom that promised to send support immediately was the Wildberry Kingdom. They, for some reason, had an amazing ability to make various types of explosives and that was their main way of helping out in the war.

That was all of the kingdoms that decided to send immediate support and promised to fight the battle as soon as they arrived.

Lumpy Space didn't seem to feel like the war was urgent because Lumpy Space Princess was appalled that she wasn't invited first so they will "get to it when they feel like it."

The Ice King decided to show up but only because he thought that it was a date with Princess Bubblegum…

The Fire Kingdom didn't answer their emergency phone but Marceline thought that happened because they didn't favor the Candy Kingdom anyway because they were evil by nature. If only that was the real reason…

Lastly, Wizard city immediately denied sending any help because they weren't a kingdom like most places and the only real way to get help from wizards was to set a bounty on someone or something.

And that's what was going to happen as soon as someone got around to it. Placing a massive bounty on the entire army as a reward when the undead forces were dead was an excellent way to get the wizards' attention and help.

One by one, the support that was soo generously provided by the other kingdoms, villages and cities showed up and got on the front lines. It wasn't the biggest of armies but it was diverse. And maybe, just maybe… the diversity would be enough to at least fend off the undead long enough to figure out some way to defeat them.

If that was even possible…

While the Candy Kingdom was scrambling to find every possible able-bodied fighter to help, Maja was watching from the front of her horde of monsters and demons, laughing at the Candy Kingdom's feeble attempts to preserve its own life.

Maja: "Haha! This is cute. They think they can defend themselves."

One of the demons that Maja deemed worthy enough to lead the attack when she couldn't be present approached her and requested when to attack.

Maja: "Send a small group of about… hmmm… I don't know. Two hundred? I want to test their mettle." She said with a conceited tone. She expected to destroy all of them by only using a small portion of her forces.

The first two hundred bloodthirsty demons and various beasts began assaulting towards the Candy Kingdom. It would take them about 5 minutes to sprint across the vast distance but it was still alarming and put everyone on their guard knowing that the battle would begin as soon as they arrived.

Princess Bubblegum took the opportunity to attempt to raise everyone's morale before the first contact with the enemy.

PB: "Everyone, get ready. I know that we're outnumbered, unprepared and we have nowhere to run... But that doesn't mean that we're outgunned. We have more technology and diversity than Maja and we have more heart. She has no reason or right to come and take over the Candy Kingdom and I fear that if she defeats us here, she's going to move on to all of your kingdoms as well. So never forget that we're all here today, fighting to protect Ooo as a whole, not just the Candy Kingdom and this war shall go down in history as the greatest conflict in Ooo within the last millennium." She tried to make up a speech without preparation and she realized that she did a relatively good job. Or at least she hopes.

The war begins.
