"What about when you tease Mommy to get her to kiss you?" Lillian blurted out.

A few of the people around them turned around to look at the little girl that was talking about the Mountie.

"Well, that's different." Jack cleared his throat and started to blush feeling all those eyes on him and Lillian. He did think it was kind of cute though…

Matthew took a hold of Lisa's hand and led her to the picnic, where they ate lunch, and talked about how school was and how they were enjoying coal valley.

"Lisa you have changed my life. I don't recall a time when I've met a prettier, or kinder girl."

"Matthew, you must be kidding me." Lisa blushed.

"I'm not, I am truthful about what I said."

"You have to be the most thoughtful gentleman I have ever met." Lisa looked away, and gave a tiny, quiet scream.

"Are you okay?" Matthew asked, quite concerned.

"Spider." She whispered.

"Oooh, are you scared of them?"

"Mmhmm." Lisa tried not to blush.

'If spiders always get her scared, I will be looking forward to when she falls into my arms.' Matthew thought, as he slowly moved with her away from the spider.

"I'm sorry, I am just so scared of spiders." Lisa blushed.

"Don't be sorry." Matthew said pushing some of her hair back.

"Why?" Lisa looked at him.

"Because then I have an excuse for you to be in my arms." He said leaning in and gently kissing her, which she happily joined.

Jon and Angelica had their own picnic, which was relaxing, and filled with laughter and giggles.

"Jon you really know how to make a girl feel good." Angelica smiled.

"Well that's my goal with you, to make you feel better, and treat you like you deserve." Jon touched her hand.

"I don't deserve much." Angelica looked down.

"Yes you do, no one took the chance to give it to you." Jon looked at her.

"And why are you doing it?"

"I like you, and, you deserve it." Jon kissed her cheek.

"Oh Jon." Angelica blushed.

"I can't wait for you to be older, Nicole." Bill gently touched her face. Nicole just looked at him.

"Then I can teach you to walk, and dance, and teach you to ride, and protect you from boys…"

"It'll be a while before you protect her from boys, I hope. Unless Louis decides to crawl after her." Abigail winked as she poured herself a cup of tea.

"Well, she is one of the most beautiful baby girls I've seen, I want to protect her as long as I can."

"Honey, you'll always be a wonderful husband, and a wonderful father, and she'll always be your little girl!" Abigail kissed the top of his head.

"And I intend to make sure our little girl knows that. Right Nicole?" Bill looked at the little girl, who smiled, as if to say 'Yes, Daddy!'.

"Honey, I got an idea, why don't we go for a walk with Nicole for a bit around Coal Valley, it might do her good."

"Alright," Bill smiled, "but we are going as a family, right?"

"Yes we are, I wouldn't miss out on a walk with my two favorite people." Abigail smiled.

Then they went out for their walk.

"Oh, good afternoon." Lisa smiled, arms linked with Matthew.

"Good afternoon." Bill tipped his hat as they passed each other.

"I think it is so sweet Lisa found someone." Abigail smiled.

"Oh yes, same with Jon." Bill responded.

"I don't think if those events would not have happened Jon and Angelica wouldn't have gotten together so quickly."

"Yes, Angelica was quite shy…and I know someone else who was shy at first." Bill said looking at Abigail.

"Me? I wasn't shy." Abigail blushed.

"Oh, you weren't were you? You admitted after we kissed for the first time you were nervous and shy about admitting you liked me." Bill raised an eyebrow.

"Oh alright, I admit it." Abigail smiled.

The next day, Elizabeth snuggled next to Jack. She was happy to have the man of her dreams next to her. Jack held Elizabeth closer, and gently kissed his sleeping beauty.

"Good morning to you too, Jack." Elizabeth kissed him back.

"It's quiet…peaceful." Jack pushed some of Elizabeth's hair aside.

"I know…I appreciate the quiet moments." Elizabeth leaned up and gave another kiss to Jack, but it was soon interrupted with a cry from one of the twins.

"Duty calls." Elizabeth sighed as she took her arms off of Jack, and crawled out of bed to help the twins.

Jack leaned back, and decided to do some thinking. He recalled when they first got married, they had silence, and it didn't take long for the announcement of their first child coming, and it turned out to be Lillian. She was a good little girl when she arrived, she didn't cry much at all, unless she wasn't tended to right away, or she wasn't handed to Daddy. She grew older and she started to behave, Jack was happy to have twins, but he had to admit I was noisier. He thought about it though, when one cries, they wake up the other and they cry too. And when one cries and the other one doesn't need anyone, they still cry too simply because their brother/sister was doing it. When you have twins, one has a lot to learn, and Jack hoped as the twins grew older, he would definitely be able to be the best father he possibly could be.

"Hi…" Elizabeth greeted him.

"Mmm hi, is everything okay?" Jack asked.

"Oh yes, your mother helped me, it's all good. Jaclyn is in there now holding Louis for me so I could get ready for the day.

"Doing something special?" Jack asked.

"Yes, I am going in to help with a Spelling Bee at the school." Elizabeth smiled.

"Sounds fun, are you going to go visit any Constables while you are downtown?"

"I think I will…" Elizabeth gently bit her lip.

"Good." Jack said getting up, and walked up to the closet.

Later that morning, Jack was going to take Elizabeth downtown, and poked his head into the study where Jaclyn was working on her studies.

"Hey, how's it going?" Jack asked.

"Hi. I'm ok…I can't wait to become a teacher." Jaclyn smiled.

"When do you have to go to the College?"

"At the end of this week, I have to leave." Jaclyn looked at her books, and then back up at Jack.

"Well, remind me that if no one steals you tonight, I want to, we need to talk." Jack gave her a look to let her know it wasn't bad.

"Alright, I'll make sure Bradley doesn't steal me tonight."

"Good. Now I gotta go find a giggly girl so I can take her and her mother downtown." Jack winked.

"Have fun!" Jaclyn smiled.

"See you later." Jack smiled, and shut the door.

Jack walked into the living room, and looked around.

"Now where's my Lillian?" He asked, spotting a pair of shoes hiding behind the curtain.

Lillian giggled, and Jack walked over to the curtains, swept them aside, and picked up his little girl.

"I found her!" Jack spun her around.

"Teeheeeeee!" Lillian giggled.

"Come on you two, I don't want to be late." Elizabeth laughed.

"Alright, now remember to listen to the teacher, Jack, and to eat your lunch on time." Mary handed him a lunch in a bag.

"Thanks Mum." Jack blushed.

"And here is a lunch for my favorite granddaughter, and her Mum." Mary smiled.

"Thank you!" Lillian smiled and ran outside.

"Thank you." Elizabeth smiled.

Later that morning after the spelling bee, Lisa took the spelling bee participants outside as a treat, and Elizabeth took over teaching the younger students their ABCs, so Angelica had to assist the older students with reading time.

"Well, I guess we'll read the next chapter. I don't know what chapter you're on right now because I usually help with the younger students, so read your next chapter I suppose." Angelica still was shy helping with the older students, and Elizabeth noticed her shyness, and offered to switch.

"Oh I couldn't do that Elizab- I mean Mrs. Thornton." Angelica apologized realizing the students were there still.

"Please, I believe if I were to try to teach Lillian, we wouldn't get very far." Elizabeth looked at Lillian, who giggled.

"Alright, I can do it." Angelica smiled gratefully and walked over to the younger students to help them with their letters.

A little after lunch, Lisa returned, and Elizabeth left to go be with Jack for a bit. After school was dismissed, Lillian waited for Jack to come pick her up, since Elizabeth had headed home to be with the twins.

"Ms. Carpenter?" Lillian asked slowly walking up to the desk.

"Yes , Lillian?" Angelica asked.

"May I ask you something?"

"Yes," she looked up as Jon walked in, "go ahead."

"Can you help me to be able to write the ending of Daddy? I know," she paused and thought of how to spell it, "D-A-D-D- and then something else." Lillian smiled.

"Well, it isn't time yet for you to learn the letter 'Y' yet, but I can help you. Alright look here." Angelica said standing up to the chalkboard. "I'll be right with you, Jon."

"It's fine, take your time." Jon sat down.

"Alright, now watch, this is the letter Y, and it goes at the end of," she paused to write 'Dadd'.

"Oooh that's a 'Y'?" Lillian asked pointing to the 'Y' she wrote.

"Now why don't you try. Here." She said handing her a piece of chalk.

"Okay!" Lillian said happily starting to practicing her new letter.

Angelica walked over to Jon, very carefully. "How are you?"

"Oh I'm good, I came to see if a certain teacher would be able to have dinner at the Café, it is just reopening for the first time in the while. I got reservations…" Jon said.

"Mmm I like the sound of that, alright, I'll join you. What time?" Angelica gently bit her lip.

"I will come pick you up at Mr. Rhode's house at six thirty, alright?" Jon smiled.

"Yes, I would like that." Angelica smiled.

"Ms. Carpenter?" Lillian asked.

"Oh sure honey let me see." Angelica said walking over.

"Oh Lillian, it is a good job. I think you are learning fast. This is wonderful, your Daddy will be so proud!" Angelica smiled.

"Thank you! Jon will you take me to my Daddy?" Lillian looked up at Jack's cousin.

"Sure honey, I'd be happy to. See you later, Ange- I mean Ms. Carpenter." Jon smiled.

Once Jon led Lillian outside, she quickly started to ask him a question.

"Do you like Ms. Carpenter?" Lillian jumped from one foot to the other, waiting for the reply.

"Of course I do, everyone likes Ms. Carpenter."

"But…I mean in a different way."

Jon bent down next to Lillian and took a hold of her hand. "I do, and this secret is just with you and me, alright?"

"Oh I can keep a secret." Lillian giggled, but soon stopped when she saw Jack coming.

"DADDY!" she exclaimed and ran over to where he was walking Dreamer to the school.

"How's my princess?" Jack asked, picking her up and kissing her cheek.

"Good…" Lillian smiled.

"Afternoon, Jack." Jon smiled.

"Afternoon. How are you?"

"Oh good." Jon smiled.

"Ah I can tell, is it because of anyone in particular?" Jack winked.

"Uuuhm maybe." Jon gave a small smile.

"It is, Daddy." Lillian whispered in his ear.

Jack just smiled and got onto Dreamer.

"Do you have reservations for tonight at Abigail's Café?" Jack asked Jon.

"Yep, do you?" Jon smiled.

"Yep, I'm taking Elizabeth out. I thought about my Mom, but we need to take advantage of having chances of being alone as long as we can." Jack smiled.

"Yes, I can imagine." Jon smiled.

"See you later then?" Jack asked.

"Yep. Bye Lillian." Jon tipped his hat.

"Byeeee!" Lillian happily replied.

"Come on, we gotta get home, I got a night planned with your Momma, and I have to talk to Jaclyn before we go." Jack said as he got Dreamer to head home.
