CHAPTER 51 – THE PROMPOSAL

A week had passed and it was the Friday before prom. Will Schuester walked down the hall to Sue Sylvester's office. The Cheerios had just returned from Nationals where Sue managed to once again lead them to a national championship.

"Welcome back!" Will announced from the doorway. "Congratulations, Sue. I know having that trophy back in your office feels great."

"You know, William, it does feel good. It's been too long, but now I'm back on top and I don't plan on letting it go again," Sue exclaimed. "But you know how that is. Your big day is next week. I'm just sorry that we caused a little setback for you."

"What are you talking about?" Will wondered. He walked into the room and sat in front of her desk. Sue pulled an x-ray from her desk and handed it to Will so that he could see it.

"After the competition, one of my younger Cheerios, Hayden, tripped and fell down the bleachers. She tore her ACL. I know she's just one of your kids that sway in the background and dance to make you look more talented, but she's out she won't be able to compete with you guys next weekend," Sue explained.

Will remembered Kitty bringing in the three guys and girls that never really spoke but the six Cheerios really helped New Directions when it came to the dancing elements of competition. He'd even spoke to all six of them about being more prevalent members of the squad after his seniors graduated. With the young freshman girl out of the competition he no longer had his 12 couples he needed for competition.

"I know you think I probably caused this and tripped her myself once I didn't need her anymore just so I could put a kink in your plans, but honestly Will I just don't think about your group that much anymore," she smiled in the evil way that only Sue Sylvester could. "Truth be told, I hope you do well. The more groups that do well at McKinley the more coverage I get and that is always a good thing."

"Well thanks for letting me know about her injury and I am happy for you and your squad, Sue. In fact, I had another reason for coming to speak to you. I wanted to know if you would go to New York with us as a chaperone. I need one more because we just don't think Brittany is ready to travel that far so Emma is going to stay in Lima this time," Will explained.

"Always need Sue Sylvester to save the day don't you, Schuester? Me in the bright lights of New York City? That is something that I could consider." Sue thought to herself. "I'll let you know tomorrow after I check my very busy schedule, William. I am very popular and everyone wants me right now. But I think assisting you is something I could pencil in."

"Well thank you for consideration, Sue," Will tried not to laugh at Sue's inability to be humble.

"That's just the way Sue sees it, Schuester. Now if you will excuse me it is time for my afternoon colonic and I don't think you want to be here for that so get out of my office, Deppity Doo," Sue ordered.

Will walked out and headed back to his office. He had to figure out what to do about his injured member of New Directions and how it would affect the choreography. As he looked down the hall at a group of Cheerios that included the now-injured Hayden, he got an idea of what to do. He just didn't know how people would react if he did it.

In New York the entire cast of Fame was together prepared to film the final promo for the premiere that would happen in just one week. The media blitz was already happening with them scheduled to be on every talk show and every radio show people knew for the next week. The promos for each character were being released on the YouTube Channel and ABC's website starting that afternoon. With everyone ready to perform on stage together, this would be the first major performance with all of them and the dancers.

(America by Neil Diamond – Glee Cast Version)

(Performed by the Cast of FAME)

As the music began everyone danced on the NYADA stage getting the audience of extras fired up as the performance started.

MAX: Far . . . we've been traveling far. Without a home, but not without a star.

Sam/Santana: Free . . . Only want to be free. We huddle close, hang on to a dream.

Rachel stepped forward as the others fell into position behind her.

RACHEL: On the boats and on the planes. They're coming to America.

CAST: They're coming to America.

Santana/Mercedes: Never looking back again. They're coming to America.

Moving around the stage again, this time Sam took the center singing to the audience as everyone repeated his lines in the song.

SAM: Home . . . Don't it seem so far away? Oh, we're traveling light today. In the eye of the storm. In the eye of the storm.

Blaine moved to stand with him and everyone continued.

BLAINE: Home

CAST: Home to a new and shiny place.

BLAINE: Make our bed and we'll say our grace

CAST: Freedom's light burning warm.

BLAINE: Freedom's light burning warm.

CAST: Freedom's light burning warm.

As the synchronized dance began, Sebastian found himself in the lead.

SEBASTIAN: Everyone around the world

MERCEDES: Everywhere

SEBASTIAN: They're coming to America

MERCEDES: They're coming to America!

SEBASTIAN: Every time that

Seb/Mercedes: flag's unfurled, they're coming to America.

The cast all sang together as they danced around the stage and into the audience.

CAST: Got a dream to take them there. They're coming to America. Got a dream they've come to share. They're coming to America. They're coming to America. They're coming to America. They're coming to America. They're coming to America.

The song continued and the videographers got close up shots of each actor that they would edit in and also use clips from the pilot introducing every character. The scene had to be shot nearly ten times to get all the angles and clips needed for the promo video.

Once it was over, filming ceased until after the premiere. Everyone began to head to their dressing rooms to change, but Sam made sure to pull Santana and Sebastian to the side.

"So I just wanted to thank you for helping me get everything ready for tomorrow. I think Blaine will be completely surprised," Sam beamed with happiness just thinking about the plans he'd put together for their evening.

"I just wish I could be here to witness it, but I've got to admit that I'm excited to go home," Sebastian couldn't hide the grin on his face from Sam or Santana.

"Good. I won't you to go spend time with Nick. It serves Colton right after what he did to you. I haven't even talked to him since you told me. I don't trust myself not to punch him in the face," Sam declared.

"I appreciate you going all big brother bully for me Sam, but I really don't won't you or anyone else holding things against him. That's between us and shouldn't affect his other friendships. He looks up to you and Blaine. You should give him a break," Sebastian hoped Sam would listen. "What are you two doing tonight?"

"We're taking Lily to her first Broadway show. It should be a lot of fun," Sam smiled.

"Yeah, I like having her in town. She tells it like it is just like me," Santana added. "You know me, I love anyone who isn't afraid to be a bitch every now and then."

"How is she as a roommate?" Sam asked Sebastian.

"I love having her there. We have hung out all week, but I think she really intimidates Colton. He barely speaks around her," Sebastian pointed out.

"That's how he's been with all of us all week," Santana rolled her eyes as they headed to their dressing rooms. "Every time we leave for a lunch break or anything he is gone with Keahu and Lucy before anyone can even talk to them."

"Fine with me," Sam spoke solidly and without any waiver in his voice.

"Seriously, Sam, if I can give him a second chance so can you," Sebastian pleaded.

Rolling his eyes, Sam relented. "Fine, but I'm going to have my eye on him. He's not hurting you again."

As they got to their trailers, Rachel and Blaine stood there changed out of their costumes with Tina and Mike.

"We're going to get a late lunch. Come with us," Rachel offered.

Sam walked over and wrapped his arms around Blaine. "You know I can eat anytime." He said before pulling Blaine back into their trailer to help him change clothes.

The four remaining outside looked at each other with the knowledge of what would be happening in the next 36 hours.

"Does Blaine have a clue?" Santana asked Rachel.

"Not at all. It's going to be the most romantic day ever! I can't wait to help out!" Rachel beamed.

"Which means we need to start setting up the backstory at lunch. Does everyone remember what to say?" Mike asked them.

"Don't worry, Mike. No one is going to screw up this BLAM union. We've been waiting way too long for it," Tina beamed. "But we have to get Blaine away from Sam this afternoon because he has to do that one last thing he insists on before asking him."

"Such the traditionalist. I love it," Rachel gushed.

"I think it's crazy, but that's Trouty. Are Ella and Justin ready to do their part?" Santana questioned.

"Yes, and so are Claire and Max. Operation BLAMposal is in full swing," Mike winked.

Once school was over the preparations for the Prom began in the gym. Blake Smith walked around with his clipboard instructing different people as to what they needed to do. The theme for prom was Rolling Out The Red Carpet and Blake had plans to create a red carpet entrance with "paparazzi", otherwise known as the school AV club, taking pictures. Those pictures would then be projected on the walls around the gym throughout the night.

Two hours into setup and everything seem to be going great. Michael could see how stressed out Blake was and knew he needed to do something to de-stress him. His mind went to the obvious but he knew there were too many people around for that to work. He did think about pulling him into the locker room, but knew someone would inevitably come looking for their fearless leader. Walking over to Blake, he decided to take a different tactic.

"So I got us a room at the inn for tomorrow night," Michael's hand slipped into the back pocket of Blake's jeans and squeezed. "So just remember that no matter what kind of stress or freak out you want to have I'm going to take care of it over and over and over again tomorrow night."

"What about a pre-show tonight?" Blake smirked.

"That could be arranged if you let me do the planning and go along with whatever I decide to do," Michael's mischievous side reared its head.

"I like the sound of that," Blake's head danced with thoughts that didn't include prom at all. He pushed them away so he could focus.

"Blake!" Nick called out from across the gym. "Come take a look at this."

He and Michael walked over to where Nick stood with Hunter and Kitty.

"Does the red carpet area look like you wanted it?" Nick asked.

"It's great guys. I think people will really appreciate it a lot. I think everyone will have some great prom pictures here," Blake imagined what it would look like with the lights on and the cameras flashing.

"Good, I'm going to go help Jessie and Mia get the entrance way done and then I'm going to head out and get my nails done now that I have an actual date," Kitty slapped Blake on the ass before walking towards the door.

"Kitty has a date? When did that happen?" Blake turned around to the others.

"Sebastian promised to bring someone home to go with her. He didn't say who but she doesn't seem to care," Nick laughed.

"Look at you, Mr. Happy Pants," Michael picked on his friend. "Every since you agreed to your prom date you haven't been able to stop smiling."

"Shut up, Mikey," Nick snapped. "I really don't need you to say something stupid around Sebastian."

"Dude, I'm not going to screw it up for you chill out," Michael mused.

Nick walked away. "I'm going to go help Stevie with the sound system set up and make sure he has all the music together."

"Dude, I was just kidding," Michael called out to him.

"Just give him a break, Michael. He's nervous about going out with Sebastian again," Hunter defended Nick and went back to working on the back drop for the red carpet.

Michael turned to Blake. "What did I say?"

Nick ignored them after walking away and headed over to the stage. He was about to call out for Stevie but as he headed around the corner he saw Ally talking to Stevie and Stacy and Sterling trying to pretend they couldn't hear the conversation. He stood to the side and listened.

"I just want to know," Ally declared.

"Ally, I have told you on more than one occasion how I feel and either you didn't want to believe me or you didn't care. I can't keep doing this," Stevie spoke with a tone that made Nick realize he had reached his limit.

"Don't say that. I saw the picture you drew of me," Ally called out to him causing him to stop in his tracks.

"Did you take it? I looked everywhere for it and thought I'd lost it," Stevie shook his head in disbelief.

"You didn't make it for me?" Ally realized her assumption may have been wrong.

"If it was for you I would have given it to you," Stevie was embarrassed that everyone could hear the conversation. "It was for me. I drew it because I'm trying to move on."

His words stunned Ally. She stood there unable to respond. Nick knew he needed to do something.

"Stevie, Blake sent me over to check on the sound system and do microphone checks with you," Nick called out.

Thankful for the distraction, Stevie managed to relax a little. "Okay, I'll get the band together," he stated before turning to Sterling. "Sterling, work the soundboard and Nick will tell you what levels to change while we work on the mics and music."

Nick appreciated how much Stevie could take charge and people listened to him. It greatly reminded him of Sam. He walked to the soundboard with Sterling and Stevie spoke to the band and put his own guitar around his shoulders.

"Is he okay?" Nick whispered to Sterling.

"He's trying to be," he answered. "If you ask me he's so fed up he's ready to just forget girls completely and totally focus on his music."

"Do you think he can do it?" Nick remembered plenty of things that would lead him to think not.

"Stevie? Maybe . . . probably not," Sterling worried about his friend.

"Alright," Stevie spoke into the microphone. "Let's see how this sounds."

(Not In That Way by Sam Smith)

(Performed by Stevie Evans)

STEVIE: And I hate to say I love you when it's so hard for me. And I hate to say I want you when you make it so clear you don't want me.

Ally walked around to the front of the stage so she could watch the performance. His voice was haunting and spoke to her. She couldn't turn away. What she didn't realize was that no one else could either.

STEVIE: I'd never ask you cause deep down I'm certain I know what you'd say. You'd say I'm sorry believe me I love you but not in that way.

Nick showed Sterling what levels to move on the sound board as Stevie continued and the other instruments added in. He looked up to see that Kitty, Jessie, and Mia all walked in from the hallway to listen.

STEVIE: And I hate to say I need you. I'm so reliant. I'm so dependent. I'm such a fool.

Stevie opened his eyes and saw the girls at the door. He knew everyone watched him so they didn't see the person standing at the door listening . . . Bree.

STEVIE: When you're not there I find myself singing the blues, can't bear, can't face the truth.

His eyes turned and connected with Ally. She wanted to know exactly how he felt. If this song didn't tell her nothing would.

STEVIE: You will never know that feeling. You will never see through these eyes.

Bree smiled at him but it wasn't a happy smile. It was timid and regretful. Before he could think about it anymore she walked away.

STEVIE: I'd never ask you 'cause deep down I'm certain I know what you'd say. You'd say I'm sorry. Believe me I love you, but not in that way.

Suddenly, he felt very self-conscious about the song choice. He closed his eyes just so he could get through it.

STEVIE: You'd say I'm sorry, believe me, I love you, but not in that way.

When he finished, he walked over to Nick and Stevie. "Did we get everything we need or should we go through another song?"

"I think we got it," Nick smiled. "That was a nice version of Sam Smith."

"Sterling and I thought it would be great for prom so I learned the songs he uses guitar and Sterling learned the ones with piano. No one does love songs and angst like Sam Smith," Stevie declared.

He turned to see Ally still standing there. Something was different, he could see it in her face. She finally got it. There was no denying it anymore. The ball was now in her court.

"Thanks for seeing me, Cooper. I know it was pretty short notice," Sam stated as Cooper let him inside his brownstone. "I won't take up too much of your time but there is something that I need to ask you."

Cooper led them into the living room and they sat down. "Sam, you know you're practically family. You don't need an invitation to come over."

"Thanks," Sam was nervous and Cooper could tell. "Where's Brody?"

"He is working on something for the show with April and Cassandra. He'll be back later tonight, but something tells me you don't really care that much about Brody. What's going on, Sam?" Cooper began to worry.

"Cooper, I know you, Blaine, and Kallie don't really get along with your parents. Blaine hasn't talked to them since he found out they tried to break us up. So that sort of makes you the patriarch of the family," Sam was sweating. He knew how important this was and he didn't want to screw it up. "That's why I'm here. I need to ask for your permission."

"My permission for what?" Cooper didn't want to jump to conclusions but based on how nervous Sam was he had a fairly good idea.

"I love Blaine and I know you know that. I want you to know that I will always love him and take care of him and protect him from everything in the world. You mean so much to him so I want to be able to tell him you approve when I ask him to marry me," Sam gulped.

A smile crossed Cooper's face from ear to ear. "Are you telling me this is finally going to happen?"

"Yeah," Sam breathed a sigh of relief. "Tomorrow actually, if you give me permission."

Cooper stood from his seat and pulled Sam up from his and hugged him. "Sam, you don't need my permission, but it means a lot after everything we've been through that you would want it. No one has ever made my brother happier than you have. I've just been waiting for the day where you would be my brother too."

"So that's a yes?" Sam wanted to verify.

"Yes, you have my permission," Cooper laughed.

Sam's nervousness vanished and the calm, collected version returned laughing with Cooper as he insisted they celebrate with a drink.

"What do you think he wants?" Mia questioned. She was with Jessie, Kitty, and Stacy as they walked down the McKinley hallway to Mr. Schuester's office.

"I think the better question is why is he still here at 6:00 on a Friday night," Kitty questioned.

"It's the weekend before Nationals. He's got a lot on his mind," Stacy reminded them.

"Let's just see what he has to say. There has to be a reason he called the four of us instead of the captains," Jessie pointed out.

She stopped in front of the door to the choir room when she saw Mr. Schuester and Finn.

"You texted, Mr. Schue," Jessie announced their presence.

"Yes, come in girls. Finn and I need to talk to you about something," Will motioned to the front row as Finn stood next to the piano and he pulled a chair up to sit in front of the girls. "I know that you know about Hayden's knee and that she can't dance with us at Nationals. That puts us in the position of having to find someone new or changing all of our choreography with five days left to go."

"That wouldn't work Mr. Schue. We've got a lot of great singers, but getting 23 people to relearn choreography for ten numbers in five days is impossible even if I work 24/7 to try to make it happen," Mia, the dance captain of New Directions, declared.

"That's what we think too," Finn spoke up. "That gives us one other option in finding a girl that has the ability to learn choreography fast and we have one in mind but we wanted to run it by you before talking to her."

"Why us and not the captains?" Mia questioned. "I mean I know I'd be here either way but shouldn't Blake, Nick, and Marley have a say in this?"

"I will talk to them, but if the four of you aren't agreeable to this there's no point in even having the conversation. I need to count on you girls not only to make sure she gets the choreography down but also to demonstrate that giving her a second chance is the right thing to do," Mr. Schuester suggested.

"You're talking about Bree, aren't you?" Kitty rolled her eyes. "She left us. She told us we weren't worth it."

"And then the 23 of you voted her out," Finn reminded her. "Correct me if I'm wrong but would you be in this group if you weren't given a second chance?"

Kitty knew she couldn't say anything from that point. So she turned to the other three. "Look, I'm a senior so I'd only have to deal with her for one week. The three of you should make the decision. I can play nice for seven days."

"For what it's worth, she's talked to me, she apologized to Stevie, and I know from rooming with her at Cheerio nationals that she's been really down since her boyfriend, Liam, broke up with her to date that Asian girl, Kira. I think we give her the chance," Stacy spoke up but could tell the other girls didn't completely agree. "But I'll go with what the group states."

Finally, Mia spoke to Mr. Schue.

"Put me in charge of her, Mr. Schue," Mia declared. "Give me her, Stacy, and Ally in a room and we'll watch her like a hawk. If she wants to prove herself she can have her chance, but she has to prove it to me."

"But I thought we were going to room together," Jessie commented.

"You can room with Nellie and the other two Cheerios. We need to do what's best for the team," Mia insisted.

"What changed your mind, Mia?" Finn wanted to know.

"I don't want to be dance captain next year. The team hasn't had a female Stage Manager since Rachel and I think it's time I step up and take the job. No one has been around New Directions longer than me."

Mr. Schue and Finn looked at each other and smiled. Bringing Bree back could have even better consequences than they imagined.

It was around 9:00 am the next morning when Sam heard a knock on the door. Blaine was still fast asleep in bed. He walked to the door wearing only a pair of sweat pants. When he opened the door, Sebastian couldn't resist.

"Do you greet everyone with your abs on display like that or am I just special?" he winked.

"You know you're special, Seb," Sam smiled. "I'd let you touch the merchandise but hopefully someone's going to buy the goods for themselves today."

"Does he have any idea what is going to happen to him today?" Sebastian seemed as excited as Sam.

"No idea, Lily did such a good job of keeping him occupied last night I didn't think I'd ever get him home," Sam walked into the hallway and shut the door just to make sure that Blaine didn't get up and hear them talking.

"When you guys left our apartment she just kept talking. I'm pretty sure she feels more at home here than she ever has anywhere else," Sebastian mentioned. "Though that may change without me there this weekend."

"You think Lily is going to go after him?" Sam actually hoped she would.

"I asked her not to but she listens as well as you do," Sebastian playfully punched him in the shoulder. "I asked Tina to play referee if it got bad."

"What are you two talking about?" Artie walked down the hallway with his luggage. "Lily told me you were up here."

"Sorry, Artie, I didn't know you were here yet. I just wanted to see my bro one last time before the ball and chain is attached to his ankle," Sebastian joked.

"You look good, Artie," Sam complimented Artie on his navy blue V-neck and black skinny jeans. "You look very hipster today. Are you sure you're ready to show up to prom with one girl while you ex is there with another guy?"

"More than ready," Artie had this determination in his eyes that Sam hadn't seen in a long time. "Sugar needs to understand she isn't the only one that can move on. I can trade up for a better, sexier, and blonder date too."

"Yet, Kitty still doesn't know it's you coming back to be her date," Sam laughed.

"I think she'll be okay with it. We definitely had a connection when she came up here for spring break," Artie's eyebrow raised. "Plus she moves up here in a month so why not see if there's a little sumthin' sumthin' between two sexy people, you know what I'm saying?"

"Today, I really do, Artie. Good luck with that," Sam hoped his friend found happiness.

"You too man," Artie shook his hand before going in for a bro-hug. "We all know he's going to say yes, but still I'm excited to hear all about it."

"And everything is set even your surprise from overseas. The plane arrives at two, Lindsey will take care of getting that part set up where it needs to be and I am really annoyed that I'm not going to be here for you when it happens," Sebastian explained.

"But you're where you need to be. Go! Have fun. I'll tell you all about it when you get back," Sam hugged Sebastian and watched the boys walk off before walking back into his apartment. He couldn't decide between making breakfast or sliding back into bed with Blaine. He decided breakfast could wait. He wanted to give Blaine something he didn't get very often but loved it when he did.

On the way to the airport, Sebastian and Artie couldn't help but indulge themselves in singing one of their favorite songs as they watched the City pass them by.

"This song is so inappropriate," Artie commented.

"Yeah, but you know you love it," Sebastian smirked.

SEBASTIAN: If you can't hear what I'm trying to say if you can't read from the same page, maybe I'm going deaf, maybe I'm going blind, maybe I'm out of my mind.

Sam slipped into the bed after pulling his pants off and slipped down to Blaine's waist level. Blaine's eyes opened quickly from his deep sleep.

SEBASTIAN: Ok now he was close, tried to domesticate you, but you're an animal, baby it's in your nature. Just let me liberate you. Hey, hey, hey, you don't need no papers. Hay, hay, hay, that man is not your maker.

Artie just imagined himself at prom dancing with an incredibly sexy Kitty while Sugar just watched from the sidelines in anger.

ARTIE: And that's why I'm gon' take a good girl. I know you want it. I know you want it. I know you want it. You're a good girl can't let it get past me. You're far from plastic.

The scene in his head changed to what was actually happening which was all of the senior and junior girls at the salon getting their hair and nails done while listening to the same song.

ARTIE: Talk about getting' blasted. I hate these blurred lines. I know you want it. I know you want it. I know you want it, but you're a good girl. The way you grab me must wanna get nasty. Go ahead, get at me.

Sebastian got out of his limo at the airport. He and Artie put on their sunglasses and walked to the plane. In his head the two flight attendants were shirtless and were Colton and Nick. He knew it was just a fantasy but he liked it.

SEBASTIAN: What do they make dreams for when you got them jeans on? What do we need steam for? You the hottest ho in this place. I feel so lucky. Hey, hey, hey, you wanna hug me? Hey, hey, hey, what rhymes with hug me? Hey, hey, hey.

In Sam and Blaine's bedroom, Sam was now straddling Blaine's his hips and gyrating his own as he leaned over to kiss his boyfriend.

SEBASTIAN: Ok now he was close, tried to domesticate you, but you're an animal, baby it's in your nature. Just let me liberate you. Hey, hey, hey, you don't need no papers. Hay, hay, hay, that man is not your maker.

Back in his apartment, Colton walked around nervously as Lily just sat on the sofa watching TV and drinking her coffee. His actions made her laugh.

SEBASTIAN: And that's why I'm gon' take a good girl. I know you want it. I know you want it. I know you want it. You're a good girl can't let it get past me. You're far from plastic.

Sebastian looked up and knew the flight attendants were not his two men, but he couldn't help himself. He kept imagining them both there and dancing for him.

SEBASTIAN: Talk about getting' blasted. I hate these blurred lines. I know you want it. I know you want it. I know you want it, but you're a good girl. The way you grab me must wanna get nasty. Go ahead, get at me.

Artie was in his own fantasy. Practically every girl he knew was dancing around him in his own airplane fantasy and they weren't wearing very much.

ARTIE: One thing I ask you let me be the one you back that ass into. Yo, from Malibu, to Paris boo, yeah, had a bitch, but she ain't bad as you. So hit me up when you passing through. I'll give you something big enough to tear your ass in two. Swag on, even when you dress casual I mean it's almost unbearable. In a hundred years not dare would I, from a far side let you pass me by. Nothing like your last guy, he too square for you. He don't smack that ass and pull your hair like that. So I just watch and wait for you to salute and choose this pimp. I'm a nice guy, but don't get it confused, this pimpin'

Blaine rolled Sam over onto his back and starting doing all the work so he knew Sam could feel every inch.

SEBASTIAN: Shake the vibe, get down, get up. Do it like it hurt, like it hurt, does it hurt, does it hurt? What you don't like work?

In his own bedroom, Nick was up early exercising to make his body look better than Sebastian remembered it. In his head he knew they wouldn't hook up, but he wanted Sebastian to want too.

SEBASTIAN: Baby, can you breathe? I got this from Jamaica. It always works for me, Dakota to Decatur, uh huh. No more pretending. Hey, hey, hey, cause now your winning. Hey, hey, hey, here's our beginning. I always wanted a

Now Artie's fantasy was just him and Kitty and he definitely liked what he was seeing in his head.

ARTIE: Good girl, I know you want it. I know you want it. I know you want it. You're a good girl. Can't let it get past me. You're far from plastic. Talk about getting blasted. I hate these blurred lines. I know you want it. I know you want it. I know you want it, but you're a good girl. The way you grab me. Must wanna get nasty. Go ahead, get at me.

Artie opened his eyes and he and Sebastian were sitting on the private plane just the two of them and a middle-aged female flight attendant.

"The bathroom is back there if you want to take care of your little issue before we take off," Sebastian joked.

"Shut the hell up, bitch," Artie joked back adjusting himself in his jeans right in front of Sebastian. "And trust me it's anything but little."

"Wanna show me?" Sebastian winked.

"Nope, but hopefully I'll be showing somebody this weekend," Artie spoke confidently before sticking his earphones in his ears and drifting off to a wonderful dream before they even took off.

Sam lay next to Blaine holding him tightly and running his fingers through his curly hair.

"Maybe we should just stay in bed all day," Blaine suggested.

"Afraid not," Sam kissed his forehead. "I have some surprises in store for you today."

"Really?" Blaine's eyes brightened. "What kind of surprises? Hopefully more like the one you just gave me."

"I'm sure that could be arranged," Sam giggled. "But I've made plans for us to spend time in the City today doing all of your favorite things."

"And what is the occasion?" Blaine showed his curiosity immediately.

"My birthday is in eight days and we're going to be super busy until then. We were lucky enough to get the New York leg of the press tour and didn't have to go to LA like half the cast. Then Dad and everyone will be here next week for Nationals so I wanted to do something special for my birthday before all the crazy starts," Sam answered.

"But if it's your birthday why are we doing my favorite things?" Blaine didn't understand.

"Because my favorite thing in the world is seeing you smile so I want to spend my day making sure that this beautiful smile you have right now never leaves your face," Sam leaned over and kissed Blaine again. One kiss turned into two and then three.

"Just keep doing that and I'll never stop," Blaine whispered as he tried to catch his breath.

"Want to go take a shower with me?" Sam proposed.

"That is one of my favorite things," Blaine grinned.

Sam stood from the bed and picked Blaine up in his arms carrying him into their bathroom and making sure that his every need was satisfied.

While all the girls spent the morning primping and preparing for the prom, the boys had very

different idea of how to spend the morning. Blake, Michael, and Stevie sat in The Lima Bean eating breakfast and drinking their coffee. It wasn't too long after they sat down that Nick and Hunter joined them.

"Where's Cameron? I figured he would come with you," Blake asked.

"He is picking up his tux with Jacob and Jake. I just asked him to pick up mine," Hunter answered.

"Everything okay? Things aren't weird between you and Jacob are they?" Michael wondered.

"I'm sure they'll be fine. It's just weird right now with me going to prom with his sister even though we aren't dating anymore. I think it pretty much comes down to him not knowing what to say," Hunter confessed. "It was probably a bad idea for us to still go together. I really don't know at this point."

"I think it's cool that you both want to end on a good note instead of a bad one. That's what two people that care about each other do," Stevie commented. "I mean I guess they do. What do I really know about relationships?"

"More than a lot of us. You give pretty damn good advice for a kid," Nick laughed.

"Well that's because I give advice instead of the kind of comfort you and Michael supply," Stevie smirked and both Blake and Hunter started laughing.

"For the record, I haven't done that for anyone other than Blake in a really long time," Michael defended himself.

They all turned to Nick.

"What? I plead the fifth," Nick stood from the booth. "I'm getting coffee. Hunter, you want anything?"

"Yeah, you remember my order?" Hunter questioned.

"Of course," Nick nodded before walking over to the counter.

"He knows your coffee order?" Blake side-eyed Hunter.

"Hey, after you share certain things it's pretty stupid to think you can't talk about everything," Hunter pointed out.

"Maybe I just need to find my very own Nick or Michael," Stevie half-joked.

"Let Nicky get his Sebastian fix this weekend and he might be willing," Michael declared.

"Mikey!" Blake punched his arm. "That's not nice."

"Blake, I love you but I know Nicky better than anyone and one of two things is going to happen. Either he and Sebastian will hook up and he'll be all relieved and happy or Nicky will be all noble and honorable and not sleep with Sebastian because he's not like that and then Sebastian goes back to New York and we're stuck with the sexually-frustrated and pissy Nicky with no one to clean his pipes going into Nationals. Neither of those scenarios are that appealing."

"You don't think they'll fuck?" Hunter questioned. He assumed the hook up was inevitable.

"Sebastian would have to initiate it. Nick would never do anything to try and break him and Colton up," Blake informed him.

"Can we just agree that this is none of our business and that whatever happens between Nick and Sebastian is between them and we let them do what they do?" Stevie requested.

"What are you guys talking about that has you so serious," Nick joked as he sat back down and handed Hunter his coffee.

The four boys looked awkward for a moment before Michael could cover for everyone. "Just that we all would go different directions tonight and probably wouldn't see each other until Monday which doesn't give us much time before we leave for Nationals."

"We're ready," Nick sat confidently. "I have a good feeling about things. I think this next week will be the beginning to the next stage of our lives. Everything will come up roses. You'll see."

"Sam, why are we here?" Blaine asked as he and Sam stood in front of the theatre that once held The Newsies. It was now the home of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Disney's newest musical. Blaine had not been back to the location since his final performance of the show he once headlined.

"Because I know how much you love and miss this place," Sam began. "It was a second home to you this past year and anytime you talked about it you couldn't help but smile."

"But it's so early, Sam, everything is locked up. Not to mention it's a different crew. They probably wouldn't know me anyway," Blaine seemed sad at the idea.

"Don't you think I would have already thought about that?" Sam grinned giving Blaine some hope. He knocked on the front door and as Blaine watched the door opened and Ella and Justin stood there.

"Good morning, gentlemen," Justin grinned.

"Everything is ready for you, Sam," Ella notified her client with a smile.

Sam took Blaine's hand and led him inside. They didn't notice that Ella and Justin stayed and sat in the back row wanting to watch the spectacle that Sam had in store for Blaine. He led Blaine down to the front row and sat him down before standing in front of him.

"I can't remember how many times I watched you perform on this stage," Sam began. "True confession, I came to your show several times that you didn't even know about. Most of them were while we were fighting. I would disguise myself and buy a ticket further back in the house or up in the balcony, some place that if someone recognized me they would assume it wasn't me because why would I have a bad seat when I could pay to sit up front or in one of the boxes . . ."

"You did this a lot?" Blaine inquired.

"At least ten times," Sam confessed. "I missed the sound of your voice. I would sneak out during curtain call and hit the subway before anyone saw me, but it always worked. It always reminded me of what made you happy. I never forgot that even when you thought I had."

Sam moved quickly to the stage and stood on it in front of the curtain.

"You probably think that I brought you here to get on stage and sing one last time but that's not it at all. You have the perfect last memory of being on this stage. Your final curtain call was a storybook ending to this part of your life. I just wish I could have been there. Everyone said that you were perfection and the fact that you dedicated the performance that night to me meant so much so I wanted to give you something I heard you and Rachel talking about once while you thought I was asleep during one of your Broadway movie musical marathons you put me through."

"What did you here? We talked about a lot," Blaine got a bit worried.

"Dude, I know. Did you really have to talk to her about my size down there," Sam pointed to his crotch. "And we can save why you needed to know Finn's for another day," Sam couldn't resist letting him know he'd heard that tidbit of information. "However, for this particular conversation, you talked about how great I did in Tarzan and wished you could see me perform on Broadway. Now, that's not something I've ever really planned on doing, but who am I to keep my man's wish from coming true."

At that moment, the curtains to the stage opened and the stage lights illuminated the scene. It was different from when The Newsies was there. The backdrop looked like the inside of the Notre Dame Cathedral. Center stage there was a microphone and a baby grand piano with a woman sitting prepared to play. Sam moved behind the mic stand and the lights changed to cause a glow effect around him and make the rest of the stage look like it was night time. It was absolutely magical to Blaine.

"So this might be as close as I get to the real thing, but this is my gift to you, the moment you told Rachel you wanted to see," Sam pointed to the side door of the house and Rachel walked in and sat next to Blaine. He realized in that moment that she had helped Sam set all of this up. She took his hand and they watched as Sam performed on a Broadway stage for the first time.

(If I Loved You/To Make You Feel My Love Medley by Aaron Tveit – 54 Below Concert)

(Performed by Sam Evans)

SAM: If I loved you time and again I would try to say all I want you to know. If I loved you words wouldn't come in an easy way. Round in circles I'd go.

He closed his eyes and sang from his heart. The white light shining on him turned his beautiful blonde hair into a halo around his head.

SAM: Longing to tell you, afraid and shy, I'd let my golden chances pass me by. Soon you'd leave me. Off you would go in the midst of day. Never, never to know how I loved you.

Sam's eyes opened and connected directly with Blaine's.

SAM: If I loved you.

They didn't lose eye contact once as the song changed and he began making promises to Blaine that sounded very similar to wedding vows.

SAM: When the rain is blowing in your face, and the whole world is on your case, I could offer you a warm embrace to make you feel my love. When the evening shadows and the stars appear, and there is no one there to dry your tears, I could hold you for a million years to make you feel my love.

Rachel squeezed Blaine's hands with her own and watched as the realization of what the song was actually asking crossed his face. He turned to her and all she had to do was smile.

SAM: I know you haven't made your mind up yet, but I would never do you wrong. I've known it from the moment that we met there's no doubt in my mind where you belong.

When Sam and Blaine's eyes reconnected, he saw that Sam had tears in his eyes. His heartfelt plea through the song affected him more than he expected.

SAM: I'd go hungry. I'd go black and blue. I'd go crawling down the aisle for you. There ain't nothing that I wouldn't do to make you feel my love. The storms are raging on a rolling sea and on the highway of regret. The winds of change are blowing wild and free but you aint' seen nothing like me yet.

The light on the stage went out except for the spotlight on Sam.

SAM: I could make you happy make your dreams come true. There ain't nothing that I wouldn't do. I'd go to the end of the Earth for you to make you feel my love. There is nothing that I wouldn't do to make you feel my love.

Rachel leaned over, tears in her own eyes, and whispered to her best friend, "Enjoy your day and just remember this . . . three words, three letters."

Blaine looked at her confused as she kissed him on the cheek and left with Ella and Justin.

"Ready for step two on our journey?" Sam was now next to him with his hand outstretched. "This is just the beginning."

Blaine didn't know what else Sam had in store for him, but he knew he had to find out. He took his hand and they walked out together.

"Colton, would you come out of your room?" Lily requested. Since Sebastian left Colton had spent the entire morning in his bedroom. "I mean really? If I'm going to live here don't you think you should at least learn how to talk to me?"

Colton didn't answer but there was a knock at the door. Lily walked over and opened it. Leaning against the doorframe was a beautiful female redhead that she recognized from television.

"You're Holland Roden," Lily stated the obvious.

"Yes, I am," she agreed. "And you must be the new roommate and old friend of Sebastian's that has Colton scared to death."

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm going to eat him or something," Lily joked.

Holland let herself in. "If you're going to live with Colton the one thing that you have to understand is that he can't handle conflict. That's what he has Zach for. But Zach is in Los Angeles so you get me."

"Are you telling me that Colton called you to deal with me?" Lily's opinion of Colton was slowly diminishing.

"Sort of," she helped herself to a bottle of water from the refrigerator. "He knows how important you are to Sebastian, but up until this week you were just this girl from high school he talked about. Now you're here and right after he did something stupid. You intimidate him."

"This is stupid," Lily walked back over to the bedroom door. "Colton, come out. I promise I'm not going to kick your ass and your bodyguard is here now too so come out and let's talk."

"Really, Colton," Holland spoke up. "I've been here three minutes and I already like her so get your cute ass out here so I can make it to Nick Jonas's party this afternoon."

The door opened slowly and Colton walked out looking like a scolded child.

"Oh for God's sakes, Colton, you fucked someone inappropriate. You didn't kill someone. Stop walking around with your tail between your legs," Holland insisted.

Colton lifted his head and walked into the living room behind the two women. He sat in the armchair as the girls sat on the sofa. Holland sat between them for Colton's benefit even though she knew his overactive imagination.

"Okay, let's start with something easy. Why are you scared of me?" Lily questioned.

"Because you love Sebastian and so do I but you've never hurt him and you probably want to punch me or something," Colton admitted.

"You know you sound like you're ten, right?" Holland scoffed. "Do you mind if I handle this, Lily?"

"Go right ahead. Hopefully you understand him better than I do," she insisted.

"Colton, you fucked up," she declared.

He sat waiting for more but that's all she said.

"That's it? I fucked up. That's the end of your great speech?" he inquired.

"What more do you want? You can't expect other people to treat you nicely when you're the one that fucked things up," Holland was being completely no nonsense with him.

"But," Lily added in because she actually felt bad for him that his best girl was so harsh. "It does say something to me that you are punishing yourself. I mean I don't really have to do or say anything because you're doing all of that on your own."

"Precisely," Holland agreed.

"So you don't hate me?" Colton finally looked Lily in the eyes.

"I don't even know you. How can I hate you?" she questioned. "Obviously you're a good guy or Sebastian wouldn't have wasted his time. I mean I know my boy likes to take in the scenery and ogle sexy guy booties. We usually do that together, but you two have been together for months and everything I've heard from him about you has been positive. Do you agree with me that you screwed up?"

"Yes, I definitely screwed up," Colton agreed.

"Damn right you did," Holland repeated under her breath causing Colton to side-eye her.

"Are you going to do it again?" Lily asked another question.

"Never, I promise you I'll never hurt him again," Colton declared.

"But you understand that if you do I will hurt you, right?" Lily smiled and he wasn't sure how a smile could be both innocent and evil at the same time. He turned to Holland.

"Don't look at me," she held her hands up. "If the roles were reversed I'd be saying the exact same thing to Sebastian. I'd say it's a pretty damn good deal."

"Okay, I get it. I understand, Lily," Colton agreed.

"Good, now not to sound like a common white girl, but the coffee you made this morning is crap, Colton. Why don't you get dressed and escort the two sexy ladies you have in front of you to Central Perk and buy us some real coffee?"

"Oh, have you tried their apple cinnamon latte?" Holland changed the subject quickly.

"No, but if it's good I have to try it," Lily realized she was really liking this redhead. She had spunk just like her.

"Just stick with me girl. I'll show you all the great places to get all the best things," Holland promised before turning to see Colton still sitting there. "Didn't you hear the girl? Go get ready so you can buy us coffee."

Colton couldn't get over how well Holland and Lily got along after having just met. If they could get along they could help him and Sebastian find their way back to each other. Their new friendship gave him hope. He got up and went to do one of his favorite things, pick out his outfit of the day.

"We're going to the Diner?" Blaine sounded surprised as he and Sam stood outside the Spotlight Diner.

"You're going to honestly stand there and act like the chili cheese fries here aren't your absolute favorite junk food in the entire City?" Sam questioned.

Blaine couldn't get over how Sam knew all of his details so well. He opened the door for him and Blaine walked in. They both saw Tyler working and he pointed to where his section was and they headed in that direction. Less than five minutes later Tyler showed up with two baskets of the chili cheese fries and two drinks, diet coke for Blaine and water for Sam.

"How did you know?" Blaine asked Tyler.

"Dude, you order the same thing every time you come in here. It's the same reason that I know you're going to order the chicken salad with vinaigrette to make up for it for your main course and refuse dessert when I ask you," Tyler pointed out. He turned to Sam and the boys shared a moment of silent conversation so that he knew the next surprise was ready to go.

Music began to play and Sam took Blaine's hand into his. He motioned for Blaine to look towards the stage and when he did he saw that Max and Claire stood there behind two microphones ready to perform. This was another one of Sam's surprises, and once again, he couldn't believe he didn't see it coming.

(This Is What It Feels Like by Armin Van Buuren – Cover by Jake Coco and Ali Brustofski)

(Performed by Claire Holton and Max Schneider)

MAX: Nobody here knocking at my door. The sound of silence I can't take anymore. Nobody ringing my telephone now. Oh how I miss such a beautiful sound.

"I don't want either of us to ever feel this way again," Sam whispered into Blaine's ear. "We'll always have each other now."

Claire/Max: And I don't even know how I survive. I won't make it to the shore without your light. No, I don't even know if I'm alive. Oh without you now this is what it feels like.

Max looked right into his friend's eyes. Blaine appreciated everything that they were doing for him and Sam in that moment. Claire shared the same moment with Sam.

CLAIRE: Nothing to hold but the memories and frames. Oh they remind me of the battle I face.

Claire/Max: Without you love, without you I drown. Somebody save me I'm going down.

Sam and Blaine just looked into each others' eyes knowing that they would never have to know that kind of pain again because they had each other.

Claire/Max: And I don't even know how I survive. I won't make it to the shore without your light. No, I don't even know if I'm alive. Oh without you now this is what it feels like.

They were in their own world. Everyone else in the Diner thought they were just getting a special performance, but Sam and Blaine knew it was all for them. These two people, Max and Claire, helped them find their way back to each other and it was only right that they be a part of this special day.

Max/Claire: And I don't even know how I survive. I won't make it down the road with one headlight. No, I don't even know if I'm alive. Oh without you now this is what it feels like. Oh without you now this is what it feels like.

A half hour later, with their meal over, Tyler walked over and handed Sam the bill.

"Tyler," Sam stopped him. "There's no price on here."

"That because you're meal has been taken care of. Compliments of the chef who insists that instead you go to the address on the receipt where someone very important will be waiting on you."

Sam and Blaine headed out of the Diner when Blaine said, "That was incredibly nice of the Chef, don't you think?" He looked over and saw Sam smiling. Blaine realized he'd fallen for it again. "Let me guess, Tyler is the Chef and this is totally a part of your master scheme."

"I guess you'll just have to wait and find out," Sam put his arm across Blaine's shoulders and they headed to the address listed on the fateful receipt.

"Did I con you into doing . . . you know?" Hunter asked. The question came out of nowhere for Nick. The two boys were just sitting in his bedroom playing video games so he didn't know why Hunter was asking.

"What? Sucking your dick? You can say it Hunter. I was there and no you didn't con me or force me. I definitely wanted to do it," Nick laughed. "Why? Do you want me to do it again?"

"No," Hunter actually blushed. "I mean I wouldn't actually turn it down. I have to admit it's the best I've ever had, but I wouldn't ask you to do it again especially with Sebastian on his way here." Hunter paused again for a moment then continued. "Do you think it's weird that we did something like that and yet we can be totally cool with each other? I mean you're the only person I've talked to about all this mess with Jessie. Cameron doesn't know and I live in the same room with him."

"I don't think it's weird at all. You're my Sam," Nick threw his hands up in victory. "And I just beat your ass again at this game. You should really concentrate more."

Hunter's face had nothing but confusion on it. "What do you mean I'm your Sam? I don't understand."

Nick realized he would have to explain it because Hunter had never really seen the dynamic between Sam and Sebastian. He turned towards his friend and explained.

"Sam and Sebastian is what I'm talking about. They have this incredible friendship. They call themselves brothers but there was all this sexual tension between them. So one day during spring break they hooked up, the two of them and Blaine all together. After that happened everyone noticed the difference between them."

"So what you're saying is blowing me got rid of the sexual tension and now we're brothers?" Hunter questioned.

"Not brothers because I'd totally do you again if there wasn't a chance with Sebastian tonight," Nick kidded. "But you're an only child, I'm an only child, we understand each other. You are one of my best friends, probably my best friend actually because the two I've had my entire life are a little too busy doing each other to notice my problems right now and you do."

"So do you think you and Sebastian will do more than go to the dance together tonight?" Hunter inquired.

"Why? You want to make it a threeway?" Nick joked but felt his heart jump into his throat when Hunter didn't respond. He only began leaning in really close and Nick's heart beat so fast thinking that Hunter might kiss him. Their lips were only inches away from each other.

"I bet you wish that would happen don't you, you kinky bitch," Hunter ruffled Nick's hair and laughed as he got up to grab his stuff. "It's getting late, I better get home and get changed. I have to be at Jessie's house in an hour and a half for pictures."

"Cool, so you going to save a dance for me tonight?" Nick tried to act like he was not affected by Hunter's tease.

"Sure, you can even make it a slow one. I'll make Sebastian so jealous he has to bed you tonight. I mean that's what you really want isn't it?" Hunter asked.

"Honestly, I do. But he has to make the move. He's the one dating someone not me," Nick admitted.

"Good because you're man just got out of a car next door. I guess he's staying at Sam and Blaine's," Hunter revealed as he looked through Nick's bedroom window.

Nick ran over to see for himself. It had only been a few weeks since he saw Sebastian last but he looked at him differently now. Sebastian was beautiful and perfect and he had to let him know how he truly felt.

"That address is here?" Blaine wanted to figure out this puzzle piece on his own but he just couldn't figure it out. "Why Americana Records."

"Because this is where I knew we would make it. When you heard me singing for the Tarzan soundtrack I knew we'd figure it out somehow," Sam revealed. "It just so happens that right now one of our friends is recording a song for the second episode of the show that we'll start filming in July and I thought we could listen and have a nice little private moment together."

They walked inside and said hello to people as they walked by. All the songs for Fame were recorded there. As they walked back to the recording booth, Blaine saw Santana standing inside. They walked into the viewing room next door and she waved to both of them and winked.

"May I have this dance?" Sam requested.

"Dance?" Blaine questioned.

"Yeah, I want you to dance with me," Sam slipped his arms around Blaine's waist. Blaine put his on Sam's strong shoulders as the music began.

(I Wanna Love You Forever by Jessica Simpson)

(Performed by Santana Lopez)

SANTANA: You set my soul at ease, chased darkness out of view, left your desperate spell on me, say you feel it too, I know you do.

Sam and Blaine just looked into each others' eyes as their bodies swayed together.

SANTANA: I've got so much more to give. This can't die, I yearn to live. Pour yourself all over me, and I'll cherish every drop here on my knees.

In Lima, Jacob and Hunter stood in the Reed family living room dressed smartly in their tuxedos. They were breathless when they watched Jessie and Mia walk into the room in beautiful dressed.

SANTANA: I wanna love you forever, and this is all I'm asking of you. Ten thousand lifetimes together is that so much for you to do?

Cameron and Jake had the same reaction as Marley and Kallie walked on to the porch at Marley's home.

SANTANA: 'Cuz from the moment that I saw your face and felt the fire in your sweet embrace I swear I knew, I'm gonna love you forever.

Santana continued to sing as Blaine rested his head on Sam's chest and Sam closed his eyes just feeling the moment.

SANTANA: My mind fails to understand what my heart tells me to do, and I'd give up all I have just to be with you and that would do.

Ally stood on the side of the stage watching Stevie checking everything on the stage. Stacy and Sterling could only stand there wondering what her problem was.

SANTANA: I've always been taught to win and I never thought I'd fall. Be at the mercy of a man, I've never been now I only want to be where you are.

Nick stood in his room straightening his bowtie. He smiled knowing how good he looked. Across the street, Michael and Blake straitened each others' tuxes and kissed before Blake's mother insisted on pictures.

SANTANA: I wanna love you forever and this is all I'm asking of you. Ten thousand lifetimes together is that so much for you to do? 'Cuz from the moment that I saw your face and felt the fire in your sweet embrace I swear I'm gonna love you forever.

Kitty opened the door to her car. She got out wearing a beautiful pink prom dress. When she looked up and saw Artie standing on the porch of the BLAM household she couldn't help but smile. He was exactly who she hoped Sebastian would bring home but didn't want to ask for.

SANTANA: In my life I've learned that heaven never waits. No, let's take this now before it's gone like yesterday 'cuz when I'm with you there's nowhere else that I would ever wanna be, no I'm breathing for the next second. I can feel you loving me, I'm gonna love forever, forever, forever.

Sam and Blaine kissed and just forgot anyone was around.

SANTANA: I'm gonna love . . . I'm gonna love . . . I'm gonna love . . . I'm gonna love

Nick stood at the door shaking. He'd waited for this moment for so long. Opening the door, Sebastian stood there looking more perfect than he ever had before. The smile on his ex-boyfriend's face calmed all his nerves as they shared a hug that felt so right it was as if the past six months didn't even happen.

SANTANA: I wanna love you forever. Oh, and this is all I'm asking of you. Ten thousand lifetimes together. Is that so much for you to do? 'Cuz from the moment that I saw your face and felt the fire in your sweet embrace I'm gonna love you forever, forever and

One by one each couple arrived at prom but none of the couples sparked as much buzz as when Nick walked in with Sebastian. Everyone just loved seeing the two of them together again and everyone could see just how happy Nick really was.

SANTANA: I wanna love you forever. Every day, every day, ten thousand lifetimes together 'cuz from the moment that I saw your face and felt the fire in your sweet embrace. I'm gonna love you forever, forever.

Sam and Blaine both turned to look in on Santana as she finished the song.

SANTANA: I wanna love you forever . . . ten thousand lifetimes together.

"Let me see if our ride is here. We have to get across town," Sam said before kissing Blaine one more time.

After he left, Santana walked out of the booth. "I hope you've figured out by now, Frodo, but for what it's worth just enjoy the ride because the surprises aren't over yet."

She hugged him and shared a moment before walking out to where a limo was waiting and Sam stood there with roses and champagne.

"We've got one more stop. Are you ready to keep going?" Sam inquired.

"With you I'll go anywhere," Blaine admitted before getting in the car.

Santana slapped Sam's ass. "Go get 'em tiger. Call me and let me know okay. I love you kid."

Sam kissed her cheek. "You'll be my first call."

The prom had finally begun and everything was going perfectly. The decorations looked perfect, Stevie had done an incredible job with the music and everyone praised Blake and his committee for creating such a perfect night. But there was one couple who didn't care about any of that.

"You've barely said ten words since we got here," Sebastian pointed out.

Nick was having issues within himself. As much as he wanted to be there with Sebastian, as much as he knew the night should be magical for them, he couldn't get Colton out of his head. He felt like he was doing something wrong.

"It's just different this time, you know?" Nick tried to answer his question with as few words as possible.

"Why is that?" Sebastian wanted to know.

"Because I don't have sex to look forward to at the end of the night," Nick blurted out and immediately regretted it. "That did not come out the way I meant it too." He pulled away from Sebastian. "I just meant I didn't think it would be this much different going to prom as friends."

"Would you prefer the sex?" Sebastian attempted a joke that only halfway worked.

"You know what I mean, Seb," Nick begged him to be serious.

"I do," he admitted. "I thought about it all the way here today and whether or not I'd be able to control myself around you."

"If you can't just think about Colton. The guy I love wouldn't cheat on his boyfriend," Nick reminded him.

Sebastian didn't know how to respond to that. He just pulled Nick close to him and they continued to dance.

Not too far away from them, Artie and Kitty danced together.

"I'm really glad you're the one that Sebastian brought home to be my date. I was actually hoping that it was you," Kitty confessed.

"I would have found a way to come home and be your date anyway. There's no way I could let a beautiful girl like you go to prom alone," Artie flirted

"Well this is certainly interesting," Sugar walked up to them with her Jersey Guido of a boyfriend that probably had mob ties with her father. "Aren't you two just the cutest couple?

They could both tell that she was trying to be nice to them but her annoyance with them being together spilled through.

"Well that's sweet of you, Sugar. Since that's the case you won't mind if I do this then, Kitty remarked before pulling Artie's lips towards hers and she made out with him in front of his ex.

(Treasure by Bruno Mars)

(Performed by Stevie Evans, Sterling Fabray, Stacy Evans, and Nellie Mayer)

STEVIE: Give me your, give me your attention baby. I got to tell you a little something about yourself. You're wonderful, flawless, ohh you're a sexy lady, but you walk around here like you wanna be someone else.

Artie and Kitty couldn't help but look at each other after the kiss and realize that something had just severely changed between them.

STERLING: Oooooohhhhh, I know that you don't know it, but you're fine so fine

Stacy/Nellie: Fine so fine. Ooooohhhh

STERLING: Oh girl I'm gonna show you when you're mine, oh mine

Stacy/Nellie: Mine, oh mine

The older members of New Directions all danced and laughed together enjoying the performance.

ALL: Treasure, that is what you are. Honey, you're my golden star. I know you could make my wish come true if you let me treasure you. If you let me treasure you.

Things were different for Sebastian and Nick. They're dancing became sensual and they began to forget that other people were around.

STEVIE: Pretty girl, pretty girl, pretty girl you should be smiling. A girl like you should never look so blue. You're everything I see in my dreams. I wouldn't say that to you if it wasn't true.

Ally stood on the side of the stage staring at Stevie realizing that he was no longer looking her way. He was flirting with every girl in the room and many of them were returning the favor.

Michael pulled Blake out of the gym and they headed to the school pool. As everyone else was dancing they stripped down to their underwear and dove into the pool making sure the hung out where they couldn't be seen so they could make out and test Michael's underwater abilities.

ALL: Treasure, that is what you are. Honey, you're my golden star. I know you could make my wish come true if you let me treasure you. If you let me treasure you.

Sebastian had to fight the temptation to touch Nick the way he used too. Every nerve and muscle in his body, except for his brain, told him to go for it and enjoy himself. Looking into Nick's eyes he knew his first love was thinking the same thing.

STEVIE: You are my treasure, you are my treasure. You are my treasure, yeah, you, you, you, you are you are my treasure, you are my treasure. You are my treasure, yeah, you you you, you are

Stevie couldn't help himself. He had to turn and look at Ally just once to see how she reacted to his performance. He tried to hide his smile when he saw how uncomfortable it made her.

ALL: Treasure, that is what you are. Honey, you're my golden star. I know you could make my wish come true if you let me treasure you. If you let me treasure you.

"Do I even need to tell you why you're here?" Sam asked Blaine as they stood in the lobby of NYADA. "You can think about it as we head to the Round Room where you will find your best surprise yet."

"Sam, you've already done too much for me today. I have had the best day with you ever. I don't even know how to thank you," Blaine blushed.

"You'll get your chance," Sam winked. They turned the corner to find Lindsey standing there with keys to the Round Room. "Looks like our next little helper is here."

"I borrowed these from Rachel's mom. We've got thirty minutes before I have to return them," Lindsey informed him.

"Everything set up inside?" Sam asked.

"Everything is ready and I can't tell you how much fun I've had with your big surprise all day. Just like old times." She turned to Blaine. "Just remember this, really big surprises come in small packages."

"What does that mean?" Blaine wanted her to just tell him.

"I'm going to sit in the back and watch. I have to see this," Lindsey grinned so big as she entered before them. Sam opened the door and when Blaine entered he saw Tina standing up front wearing a beautiful evening gown.

"I hope that you love this Blaine. This is your last surprise until the big one later tonight so hopefully my friend and I can do it justice," Tina did her best to hide her excitement and be professional. "You see, Blaine dear, there is one piece of this puzzle that has to be in place before we can go to the last stop."

(Listen from the soundtrack of DREAMGIRLS – Glee Cast Version)

(Performed by Tina Cohen-Chang and ?)

Sam and Blaine sat down in the front row as Tina began to sing a song they both recognized immediately.

TINA: Listen to the song here in my heart, a melody I start but can't complete. Listen to the sound from deep within. It's only beginning to find release.

Blaine reached over for Sam's hand. He loved hearing their friends perform, but he had no idea what was about to happen.

TINA: Oh the time has come for my dreams to be heard. They will not be pushed aside and turned into your own, all 'cause you won't listen.

Lindsey looked to the side and saw the shadow of their friend waiting in the wings to surprise Blaine. She knew this would be the one thing to make everything from this day even more magical.

TINA: Listen . . . I am alone at a crossroads. I'm not at home in my own home, and I've tried and tried to say what's on my mind. You should have known, oh, now that I'm done believing you. You don't know what I'm feeling.

The conviction in Tina's performance amazed Blaine he was so proud of her.

TINA: I'm more than what you've made of me. I followed the voice, you gave to me. But now I've gotta find my own.

Tina stopped singing which surprised him. The fact she moved to sit next to Sam surprised him even more, but when he heard whose voice continued the song, tears welled up in his eyes before he could even see her face walk into the spotlight.

SUNSHINE: You should have listened. There was someone here inside. Someone I thought had died so long ago.

Blaine's eyes connected with Sunshine's for the first time in what seemed like forever. Both of them started to cry as she continued.

SUNSHINE: Oh I'm screaming out and my dreams will be heard. They will not be pushed aside or worse into your own all 'cause you won't listen . . .

Sam watched Blaine watch Sunshine. His heart beamed with pride at how happy this surprise made his boyfriend. Blaine's smile was so big he couldn't contain it. He giggled he was so happy.

SUNSHINE: Listen. I am alone at a crossroads. I'm not at home in my own home, and I've tried and tried to say what's on my mind you should have known! Oh! Now I'm done believing you. You don't know what I'm feeling. I'm more that what you've made of me. I followed the voice you gave to me, but now I've gotta find my own.

Blaine turned and kissed Sam hard on the lips. "Thank you for bringing her home," he said before kissing him again and then turning back to Sunshine.

SUNSHINE: I don't know where I belong, but I'll be moving on if you don't, if you won't listen to the song in my heart. A melody I start, but I will complete. Oh! Now I am done believing you you don't know what I am feeling. I'm more than what you've made of me. I followed the voice you think you gave to me. But now I got to find my own. My own.

The second she finished singing, Blaine jumped up from his seat and scooped up Sunshine in his arms and spun her around.

"You're really here!" he laughed and cried at the same time. "I have missed you so much!"

"Yes I'm here. I wouldn't miss this for anything," she hugged him back. "Give me just a second." She walked over to Sam and hugged him. "Thanks for bringing me back."

"Like you said we couldn't do this without you," he whispered in her ear.

"Okay I need her back now," Blaine motioned to Sam to give back Sunshine. "You've already got your favorite Asian next to you and now I've got mine."

"You're right you do," Lindsey reentered the conversation. "And this is when you part."

"What are you talking about?" Blaine didn't understand. He was fairly certain he knew exactly where this was going.

"You're next gift is that you are going to dinner with Sunshine so that the two of you can catch up. You're actually going to my apartment. Don't worry I'm not cooking but I am really good at ordering Thai food from the place next door. And while you are doing that Sam and Tina will be doing something else that you'll find out about in two hours," she instructed.

"So this is goodbye just for a little while," Sam walked over and kissed Blaine's forehead. "Have fun catching up and I'll see you in two hours. Make sure you bring Sunshine with you, okay?"

"Okay," Blaine blushed.

Sam walked out with Tina. Once they got in the hallway she couldn't help herself. She had to ask, "Are you ready for this?"

"I'm so ready," Sam put his arm around her and they headed out to the limo to head to the final destination of this wild ride.

-GLEE-

It had been about an hour since Blake and Michael sneaked out of the gym when they returned. They headed over to Kitty, Artie, Sebastian, and Nick.

"Do I even want to know why both of your heads are wet but your suits are not?" Kitty questioned.

"Do you want to know that we just had sex in the pool?" Michael felt so proud of himself.

"Eww no why did you tell me that?" Kitty turned to Artie. "Take me away from them. I'll make it worth it to you."

"Sounds good to me," he turned to Sebastian. "Don't wait up."

They walked off leaving the four boys together.

"You two are a walking porn cliché," Nick laughed.

"We used to be too. Give them a break," Sebastian insisted.

"Oh it's cool. I think it's funny actually," Nick was finally having a good time and he had a pretty good feeling that he and Sebastian might forget their inhibitions later in the night.

"Hey, what's wrong with Hunter?" Blake noticed Hunter standing against the wall by himself. "Where's Jessie?"

The boys looked around and couldn't find her anywhere.

Nick looked at Hunter and as if he knew someone was watching him, Hunter looked up and their eyes connected. Nick motioned for him to come over to him and he did just that.

"Are you okay?" Nick asked when he finally got there.

Hunter wanted to talk to Nick but he didn't want to take him away from Sebastian.

"It's nothing," Hunter tried to downplay his situation. "It was just a bad idea for Jessie and me to come together. We knew it was a bad idea, but we did it anyway."

"Where is she now?" Nick wanted to know.

"Every time we danced, and I've got to admit she really did try to be a good date, she kept looking around the room for Nellie. She tried to not do it but she couldn't help herself. Eventually I just didn't see the point. I told her to just go spend time with Nellie and I left to go to the bathroom. When I came back I couldn't find her anywhere. Jake told me she saw her leave with a bunch of Cheerios and Nellie about ten minutes ago," Hunter hung his head in shame. "I was going to just go home, but I don't have a car and I rode here in the limo with Jessie so I guess I'm stuck."

"No you're not. We can take you home," Nick insisted.

"No, I am not going to mess up your night with Sebastian. Absolutely not!" Hunter insisted.

"Honestly, Seb and I have talked about going home early and just hanging out together and talking about things so this is a great reason to leave," Nick continued.

"Are you sure, Nicky?" Sebastian entered the conversation wondering if Nick really wanted to leave or just leave to help his friend.

"Are you telling me you don't want to take me home so that you and I can talk . . . alone?" Nick raised an eyebrow.

"Hunter, looks like you have a ride home," Sebastian changed his mind quickly making Blake and Michael wonder exactly what was going to happen between the boys tonight.

Nearer to the stage, Ally walked up to Stevie, but she stopped in her tracks when she saw that he was dancing with Bree.

"Can I help you?" Stevie asked her before she walked away.

"I didn't realize you and Bree had made up," Ally spoke softly.

"We just talked things out," Bree answered for him. "This dance is just a step to trying to be friends again."

"Can we talk, Stevie?" Ally asked.

"Not now. I'm better talking to someone who can express their feelings," Stevie was snarky with her and she could tell that he had given up on her so she had to think of something she couldn't do to make him believe her. She turned around and saw Stacy. Stevie's sister pointed to the stage and suddenly Ally knew exactly what she had to do to impress Stevie once and for all.

She ran up the stairs and told the bandleader what song she was going to sing next and then took her place behind the microphone.

(Crush by Mandy Moore)

(Performed by Ally Dawson)

As soon as he heard her ad libs, Stevie turned to the stage and watched as she began. She smiled at him knowing that she had his attention.

ALLY: You know everything that I'm afraid of. You do everything I wish I did, everybody wants you, everybody loves you. I know I should tell you how I feel. I wish everyone will disappear. Every time you call me I'm too scared to be me, and I'm too shy to say.

Ally was surprised when she heard Stacy and Sterling's voices backing her up.

ALLY: Ooh, I got a crush on you. I hope you feel the way that I do. I get a rush when I'm with you, ooh, I got a crush on you, A crush on you.

"If you were looking for the grand gesture, I think you're getting it," Bree pointed out to Stevie before walking away.

ALLY: You know, I'm the one that you can talk to. Sometimes you tell me things that I don't wanna know. I just want to hold you. You say exactly how you feel about her. I wonder, could you ever think of me that way?

Stevie moved to the stage front and stood in front of Ally mesmerized by her.

ALLY: I got a crush on you. I hope you feel the way that I do. I get a rush when I'm with you, ooh, I got a crush on you, A crush on you.

Suddenly for Stevie they were the only two people in the room and he'd never felt happier in his whole life.

ALLY: Ooh, I wish I could tell somebody, but there's no one to talk to nobody knows I've got a crush on you, a crush on you I got a crush.

Stevie saw how everyone reacted to her performance and he was so proud of her for putting herself out there and being honest about her feelings.

ALLY: You say everything that no one says. I feel everything that you're afraid to feel. I will always want you. I will always love.

Everyone looked up as balloons fell from the ceiling making the moment much more magical for Ally and Stevie. He jumped up on the stage and put his arms around her waist as she continued to sing.

ALLY: I got a crush on you. I hope you feel the way that I do. I get a rush when I'm with you, ooh, I got a crush on you, a crush on you. I got a crush on you. I hope you feel the way that I do. I get a rush when I'm with you, ooh, I got a crush on you, A crush on you.

Stevie turned Ally around to face him. He didn't care that everyone in the room was watching. He'd wanted to kiss her for months and he wasn't letting this moment pass them by. He looked into her eyes and kissed her. It was sweet and innocent, perfect for this relationship at its very beginning when they knew there would be many more to come.

-GLEE-

Immediately, Blaine recognized the hotel that Sunshine took him too after their meal at Lindsey's. They'd eaten together and then she walked him into the guest room where there was a beautiful Marc Jacobs suit that he'd always commented on every time he saw it in a magazine or a billboard.

He changed into the suit and they took a car to the final location of Sam's surprise for him. He saw this excited anticipation in Sunshine's eyes that helped him understand how big this would be. Blaine felt completely positive he knew what was about to happen but he didn't want to jinx anything by talking about it. Now, with the realization of where they stopped he couldn't deny the jump in his heart rate.

"Do you remember it?" Sunshine asked him.

"Our first trip to New York during senior year," Blaine remembered. "Sam and I stayed here with Cooper. The room had these huge windows and the room we were in had the most magical view of the Empire State Building." Blaine looked to his left, and sure enough the majestic building was in view.

"I'm going to walk up with you and then leave you in Sam's very capable hands," Sunshine informed him right before they walked into the elevator.

"So you know where we're going," Blaine asked as they entered the elevator.

"I do," she watched his face. "Something tells me you do too."

He watched the numbers going up remembering that when they stayed with Cooper they were on the 22nd floor. As he watched the numbers progress, it didn't surprise him at all that the elevator stopped on floor twenty-two. The doors opened and he followed Sunshine but he knew where they were going. Sam had booked the same room from that week two and a half years earlier.

Sunshine knocked on the door and when it opened Tina stood there.

"You look so handsome, Blaine," Tina commented before hugging him. "There is a very nervous and handsome blonde inside waiting on you. Sunshine and I would stay but I think this last part of your day really should be just the two of you, but don't think we won't be sitting in anticipation to find out what happened."

He hugged and said goodbye to both of them before entering the room. His breath hitched in his throat as he saw the entire room illuminated in candlelight. It was breathtaking. He walked further into the room and saw Sam standing in front of the large room sized window. His back was to Blaine but he was sure he knew he was there. He wore a similar suit but Blaine was sure his was Calvin Klein because that was Sam's favorite.

Sam turned towards him and Blaine wanted to freeze-frame that specific moment in his head forever. It was his own angel standing in front of him with a smile on his face and everything that Blaine had ever wanted in his heart.

"Do you remember the room?" Sam hoped.

"I do," Blaine smiled. "How could I forget it?"

Sam held out his hand asking for Blaine to join him in front of the window. Framed right between them was the Empire State Building; the top of which was illuminated in blue that night.

"I love you," Sam began taking Blaine's hands into his. "I know you know that but I just wouldn't feel right starting this without saying that. My life was complete chaos before I discovered you as the true love of my life. That is a fact that since that night in my bedroom when you kissed me for the first time that I have never doubted. The first time we were together I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. I just wasn't sure you would want me the same way."

Sam looked down and wiped a tear from his face. Blaine took his hand and lifted Sam's face back up so he could look in his eyes. "I love you too and I've loved you since that night."

"Great minds think alike," Sam kidded. "Seriously though, after this past year you never gave up on me. You let me go when it was the best thing for me so that I could get better, but now when I'm able to look back I see how everything that you did was for my well being. You love me more than anything else and I love you the same way. Blaine, I don't want to spend one more minute of my life knowing that this could end. I want to make it permanent and make a commitment to you where everyone knows that you are mine and I am yours."

Blaine couldn't contain his happiness anymore. He wanted to jump up and down in excitement but he maintained his composure and simply said, "What are you saying, Sammy?"

He was sure that he stopped breathing as Sam dropped down to one knee and pulled out a blue Tiffany's box from his pocket. He opened it and held it up so that Blaine could see it.

"You are the love of my life, the man of my dreams, the only person I want to grow old with and raise our children together. Every moment for the rest of my life I want to spend with my best friend and the only person that will ever control my heart. Blaine Devon Anderson, what I'm asking is will you make me the most fortunate man on the planet and marry me. Be my husband, Blaine," Sam's eyes beamed with hope.

Everything in their relationship led to this moment and in Blaine's mind he couldn't help but remember every single one of them. He couldn't stop the tears from streaming down his cheeks. He was so happy.

"Samuel Schuester Evans," Blaine got down on his knees next to Sam. "I thought you would never ask."

Sam took the ring and slipped it on Blaine's finger and then to Blaine's surprise he pulled an identical box out of his coat pocket and handed it to Blaine. It was an engagement ring for him.

"I want everyone to know I'm yours too," Sam explained and Blaine saw that their rings were identical. Blaine slipped it on Sam's ring finger. The boys stood in each others' arms and sealed their engagement with a kiss.

Behind them the blue lights on the Empire State building turned red and a huge Valentine's heart began to beat. Sam hit a remote button in his pocket and Taylor Swift's Sparks Fly began to play as they continued kissing but no longer as boyfriends.

"I love you so much, fiancé," Blaine loved the sound of it.

"I promise you, fiancé, that as long as we are together the sparks will always fly," Sam really appreciated his own pun as the boys kissed again before staring out the window realizing that this, more than anything else they'd done together, was truly a new reality in the direction of their lives.
