Bellamy's POV
"Clarke!" I howl as we flash back to the room. There is one less door and Clarke isn't breathing. "Clarke, please be okay."
"Stop whining. She's just recharging. She's fine." Alie says appearing above us.
"Why is this happening? Why did I have to kill her? Do we die like this in every life?" The questions fly out of my mouth so quickly that I don't even take a breath.
"So many questions. Does it matter? All life ends in death. Why would yours be any different?" Alie answers as if she's telling me that she needs strawberries from the grocery store.
"I get that these are our past lives but why do we have to keep dying? I plunged the dagger into her chest. I felt her take her last breath. I died with her in that moment. I can't take it anymore. Let us leave." My words continue to rush out of my mouth.
"Do you want to leave?" She disappears to reappear directly in front of me. Clarke is ripped out of my hands. She moans and shifts. I can see her eyes start to flutter and I yell to her.
"You said you wanted to leave. That means that you can go."
"That easy? We can go?" I ask standing up and walking towards Clarke only to hit an invisible wall.
"Ha!" Alie releases a cruel laugh. Her face turns up in a sneer. "I said you could go, not both of you. If she leaves right now she will die."
"What? No, she's fine. Just like I was okay when we got here the last time. I should have been dead, but this place somehow healed me."
"Yes. It healed you, but only one of you will get out of here. You pass the tests and we'll know who."
"No." I shake my head vehemently. "We are both getting out of here. You said that we had to pass the tests and then we could leave."
"Yes, but you want to leave now. That is the only way." She picks at her red nails.
"So, if we stay and keep going through the worlds then she will be okay. We will get out?"
"We'll see. You have to pass them first."
"Fine." I walk to Clarke and this time I'm not stopped. "Clarke, are you ready? Can you do this?"
"Yes." She stands up.
"Are you sure?" I ask her, pushing the hair out of her face. "I think you should just go. Get to Octavia and she'll help you get out of her. You'll be safe and will be able to live your life."
"Bell you better not be trying to convince me to leave you for dead." She gives me one of her most stubborn looks.
"Open your eyes Clarke." I say irritated that she won't do what she should. "This is all a trick. We're going to die here. One of these times we won't be healed. We'll die and I can't face this world without you."
"You're a selfish prick, you know that?" She shoves me away from her.
"What are you talking about? I'm trying to save you." I try to grab her hands.
"No. What you're doing is trying to make me leave. Then I'll be the one who has to live without you. I'll be alone and you'll be dead. That is selfish."
"Clarke." I plead with her. "Princess, please just go."
"I will not leave without you." She says looking me straight in the eyes.
"Fine." I know that she has won.
"Good. Now let's get this over with." With that she grabs the next door knob and pulls me through.
We bounce as we hit something soft and then the world fades.
