Doomsday:
Part 2...
Once the doors closed behind them, Theta grabbed my hand and tugged me forward.
"Jake, check the stairway." He informed the blonde. "The rest of you, come on!" We ran down the corridor as I held on tightly to my mate's hand.
"I just fell, I didn't mean it!" Mickey explained, referring to what happened with the Ark. I knew it was, and we couldn't blame him for it. There was nothing to do anyway. The Daleks would have forced us to open it if it hadn't been by accident. My mate knew that too.
"Mickey, without us, they'd have opened it by force. To do that, they'd have blown up the sun. You've done us a favor!" Theta kissed the top of Mickey's head. "Now, run!"
We ran down the corridor until we found ourselves face to face with two Cybermen, but their backs were to us. Jackie was there too and Rose went to shout her name in horror. Pete beat up to it by shooting the Cybermen, killing them instantly as smoke filled the air. I covered my mouth and nose to keep the smoke from coming in. When it disappeared, I removed my hand as we could finally see Jackie unarmed and completely shocked at seeing Pete.
"Pete!" she exclaimed.
Rose's hands went to her mouth, emotional at seeing her parents reunited.
Pete smiled slightly. "Hello Jacks."
"I said there were ghosts, but that's not fair," she said in response, sounding almost annoyed. "Why him?"
"I'm not a ghost."
Jackie shook her head, not believing it, but from the look on her face, she wanted to believe it. "But you're dead. You died twenty years ago, Pete."
Theta stepped forward tentatively to attempt to explain. "It's Pete from a different universe. There are parallel universes, Jackie. Every single decision we make creates a parallel universe existence, a different dimension where –"
Jackie rolled her eyes and cut him off. "Shut up."
For once, he listened and backed up. I stifled a smile as he took a hold of my hand, standing close to me. Pete smiled while Jackie gazed at him.
"Oh…you look old."
"You don't."
Jackie blushed a little before getting back to the task at hand. "How can you be standing there?"
"Just got lucky…lived my life. You were left on your own. You didn't marry again…or…?"
Jackie shook her head, gazing at him. "There was never anyone else…" she affirmed quietly.
My eyes couldn't help but tear up, the hormones getting to me. Pretty soon, the tears were streaming down my face. This was so sweet. I wiped my eyes with my free hand as I felt my mate stare at me in concern.
"It's nothing…" I mumbled to him, squeezing his hand, hopefully reassuring him. I noticed Mickey smirking in our direction and I silently shook my head, knowing what he was probably thinking.
"Twenty years, though." Jackie went on softly. "Look at me – I never left that flat. Did nothing with myself."
Pete nodded towards Rose. "Brought HER up. Rose Tyler." Mickey and I smiled. "That's not bad."
"Yeah…" Jackie whispered as she looked at her daughter lovingly.
"In my world, it worked." Pete told her with a soft laugh. "All those daft little plans of mine. They worked. Made me rich."
"I don't care about that." She paused. "How rich?"
"Very."
"I don't care about that…how very?"
I stifled a laugh as Pete laughed and Rose rolled her eyes while I shared an amused look with my mate.
Pete sobered quickly though. "Thing is though, Jacks, you're…you're not my wife. I'm sorry, but you're not. I mean, we both…" Jackie nodded and he looked at her, the way Theta looked at me and I looked at him. He was trying so hard not to run over there and scoop her up in his arms. "You know, it's just sort of…" His resolve gave in and he started towards her. "Oh, come here."
As she ran to him, Jackie started crying. Of course, I started crying again. God, this baby was going to be the death of me. This seeped into my thoughts, thus sending the thought to my mate, but I was too staring at Jackie and Pete with tears streaming down my face to notice my mate looking at him with wide eyes.
Pete swept her off the ground in a huge hug, and her legs wrapped around his waist as they hugged each other tightly, not letting go for a second. I glanced at my mate to find him staring at me, an uncomprehending look on his face. I looked at him, confused.
"What?"
"Nothing…" he muttered.

Theta opened the door to where the battle between the Cybermen and the Daleks took place, peering into the lab, waiting for the moment to enter. The rest of us were standing behind him, but I was near the door as well.
Finding the right moment, he dived into the room and I watched him anxiously, wincing every single time a beam zipped past him. He picked up the two things that he was searching for. Said that they were called magnaclamps. He used them to deflect the rays so that they wouldn't hit him as he made his way towards the door. He tripped over the body of a Cyberman. I held back a cry of panic, settling for whispering,
"Come on, please."
Luckily he was quick to get to his feet and he managed to slip through the door to safety. I closed it behind him, but he opened the doors again, seconds later, and his head peered around the door. This time he had those 3D glasses. I followed the Doctor's lead and peered around the doors too, our heads next to each other.
"Override roof mechanism," Dalek Sec said, and the roof of the room began to open up slowly. "El-ev-ate."
"What are they doing?" I asked, watching with wide eyes. "Why do they need to get outside?"
"Time Lord Science – WHAT Time Lord science," the Doctor muttered baffled. He took the specs off. "What is it?"
Dalek Sec elevated through the ceiling into the open air with the Ark. The Doctor closed the doors and he ran back down the corridor, shouting to us as he went.
"We've gotta see what it's doing, we're gotta go back up! Come on! All of you! Top floor!"
Before he finished, we had already started running and had caught up to my mate. We continued to run as Jackie shouted in response to what Theta said,
"That's forty-five floors up! Believe me; I've done 'em all."
"We could always take the lift."
We stopped running and turned to see that Jake had his head out of the where the lift was. Sharing looks, we ran to the lift and quickly got inside to go and see what was going on.
We finally stepped out of the lift on the top floor and rushed to the window, the Doctor dumping the magnaclamps down on Yvonne's desk as he went. Now that all of us were at the window, we looked outside just as the Genesis Ark opened up.
As it did, Daleks shot out of it, more and more of them. I didn't have to look at my mate to know he had a horrified look on his face. I gulped.
"Time Lord Science…it's bigger on the inside," he breathed out.
"Did Time Lord put those Daleks in there? What for?"
"It's a prison ship," Theta answered Mickey, eyes still on the Daleks, still coming out of the Genesis Ark.
"And how many Daleks?" I asked, gulping as I was afraid of the answer.
"Millions."
I sucked in a breath as my stomach did another nervous flip. I couldn't even handle four Daleks so millions of them made me even sicker to my stomach than I already was. What were we gonna do?
"I'm sorry."
I looked to see Pete walking away from the window.
"But you've had it. This world's gonna crash and burn. There's nothing we can do. Jacks, take this." He threw Jackie one of the yellow buttons as she followed him.
She caught it and held it in her hands as she protested, "But they're destroying the city!"
"I'd forgotten you could argue," Pete said to her affectionately. He looped the necklace around her neck himself. "It's not just London, it's the whole world." He grabbed her face, making her look at him. "But there's another world, just waiting for you, Jacks. And it's safe. As long as the Doctor closes the breach." He let go of Jackie's face and looked at my mate, "Doctor?"
He turned from the window with the 3D glasses and he had a big grin on his face. "Oh, I'm ready. I've got the equipment right here. Thank you Torchwood!" He dashed over to a computer with me following behind him. "Slam it down and close off the breach and close off both universes."
"Reboot systems," the computer said once the Doctor turned it on and pressed a few buttons on the keyboard.
"But what about the Cybermen and the Daleks?" I asked, worry in my tone. "We can't just leave and have them destroying the—"
My mate stood up. "They're part of the problem. And that makes them part of the solution. Oh yes!" I just stared at him. To me, it seemed like he had required a new lease on life. "Well?! Isn't anyone gonna ask? What's with the glasses?"
"Okay, what is it with the glasses?" I questioned, now grinning at the Doctor's excitement. I was happy that I was finally smiling instead of crying my eyes out.
"I can SEE! That's what! 'Cos we've got two separate worlds, but in-between the two separate words, we've got the Void. That's where the Daleks were hiding. And the Cybermen travelled through the Void to get here! And you lot –"He grinned at Pete and the rest of the people from the parallel world. "Via the Void! Oh, I like that. Via the Void! Look!" He took of the 3D and pressed them to my face and I fixed them on my eyes. "I've been through it. Do you see?"
I giggled at him as he moved back and forth so I could. With the glasses, I saw that he was surrounding by floating green and red particles. I reached out to try and touch them in awe.
"Reboot in three minutes."
"What is it?" I asked.
"Void stuff."
"Oh!" I cried in realization. "It's like background radiation!"
Theta grinned. "That's it," he said. "Look at the others." Grabbing my shoulders, he turned me around to look at Jake, Mickey, Jackie, Pete, and Rose. I noticed that only Jackie didn't have 'Void Stuff' surrounding them. He pointed at Jackie, "The only two who hasn't been through the void – Jackie. First time she's looked normal in her life."
"Oi!" Jackie scowled as Rose stifled a giggle and rubbed her back.
I smiled and my mate let go of my shoulders to dash into the clear white room with me following him.
"The Daleks lived inside the Void. They're brisling with it. Cybermen – all of them. I just open the Void – end of verse. The Void stuff gets sucked back in." As he spoke, his voice grew in excitement and it made me feel enthusiastic too as I cried out with a big grin on my face,
"PULLING them all in."
"Pulling them all in!"
"Sorry…what's—what's the void?" Mickey asked my mate.
He looked over at him. "The dead space. Some call it 'hell'."
Mickey looped the button necklace around his neck. "So…you're sending the Daleks and Cybermen to hell?" He grinned over at Jake. "Told you he was good."
I was still looking around with the glasses when I realized something. I frowned as I turned towards Theta.
"But it's…like you said, we've ALL got Void stuff. Me too, because we went to that parallel world." I pulled the glasses off and stared at my mate, who stood before me. "We're all contaminated. We'll all get pulled in." Before he even said anything, I just knew what he was going to say and my heart stopped and plummeted to my stomach. From the way he looked at me now with those big sad eyes, he knew what I had just realized. "Theta…"
In response, he slipped his hands in mine and gripped them. "I know…but you got to go."
"Reboot in two minutes."
I stared at him in disbelief, unable to believe he was actually suggesting that I leave him behind.
"Back to Pete's World." His thumbs stroked the back of my hands as he nodded towards Pete. "Hey, we should call it that – Pete's World." He tried to grin but it didn't quite reach his eyes like it normally would. "I'm opening the Void, but only on this side. You'll be safe on that side."
I wanted to scream at him, tell him he couldn't make me leave, that he had a baby that needed to know its father. But none of those words left my lips. I could just stare at him, disbelievingly.
"And then you close it. For good?" Pete questioned.
"The breach itself is soaked in Void Stuff, in the end it'll close itself. Kaput."
I wasn't stupid. I knew what he meant, and I felt like my heart was breaking as I tried to keep myself from hyperventilating while my eyes welled up with tears, almost blurring my vision.
"But…but that means…you'll be stuck h-h-here…" I whispered, my voice unable to keep itself from shaking at end.
"But you'll get pulled in." Mickey pointed out, echoing my words.
My mate held my gaze, sadness in his eyes. How could he even look at me after suggesting that I stay here? Seeing the anger now building in my eyes, he quickly looked away from me as he ran over to the magnaclamps. I stayed in my spot, still not able to accept what he asked of me.
"That's why…I got these." He held the magnaclamps up. "I'll just have to hold on tight – I've been doing it all my life."
"So what? I'm supposed to just go!" My voice rose, anger replacing the sadness.
He flinched, barely sparing me a glance. "Yeah."
"To another world…without you?"
"Yeah." He obviously didn't want to talk about it as he headed over to one ofand I felt like smacking him straight across the face, for ignoring me the way he was.
"I can't believe you…I'm not going to go, Theta, and you can't make me!" I told him stubbornly.
There was crash outside, which made the building shake below them.
"We haven't got time to argue, the plan works, we go in." Pete said briskly, forcibly grabbing onto my arm. "ALL of us."
Fierce protectiveness hit me all at once, though I knew Rose's dad wasn't going to happen, but being grabbed like that, brought it on. "I said I'm not fucking leaving!" I snarled angrily, whirling around to face my mate and glaring at him. "You can't do this to me, Theta! I'm your mate, we're supposed to stay together! You promised me!"
"I'm sorry, Sophie. So sorry, but you have to go." My mate responded gently.
I went to angrily snap at him again but I didn't have the chance to as he wrapped something around my neck. Before I could even blink, I disappeared and found myself in an empty room with Jackie, Rose, Mickey, Jake, and Pete.
"Oh no he didn't!" I growled angrily. "He's not going to do this to me, not after everything we've been through!" With that, I pressed the button on the necklace and I returned back to the original world, startling my mate.
"Sophie, what are you doing?" Theta demanded, grabbing my shoulders roughly. "Go back! You can't stay here!"
"Well, I am!" I snapped, gritting my teeth together. "You can't force me to leave! And how dare you send me away without even letting me decide if I wanted to or not?! Which I didn't!"
"We don't have time for this, Sophie!" he snapped right back. "You're going back!"
"No, I'm not." I had never been this angry with him.
"You have to!"
"Why?!"
"BECAUSE I CAN'T PROTECT YOU OR THE BABY FROM HERE!" he yelled, shaking my shoulders a little. My heart stopped and stomach flipped as my anger at him slipped away. He took a deep, calming breath, loosening his grip on my shoulders while he stared into my eyes pleadingly. "Okay, that's why you have to go to Pete's World where you guys will be safe. Please, Soph."
My eyes watered as I slowly shook my head. "I'm not leaving, Thete. I know it's not safe for me…or the baby. But I can't leave you here on your own…just…let me stay. I'll be okay…we'll…" I grabbed his hand and placed it on my stomach where our baby was slowly growing. "Be okay. I promise." His eyes glanced at my torso, then back into my eyes. "So, what can I do to help?"
"Systems rebooted. Open access."
We held each other's gaze. Then after a moment, he sighed heavily.
"Fine, fine. You can stay, but you have do what I tell you to do." I nodded, knowing he only wanted me to so the baby and I would be safe. He sighed again. "Good." He pointed over to nearby computers. "Now those co-ordinates over there, set them all at six."
I did as I was told, going over to the computers to do just that as I slid the necklace off of my neck and set it off to the side. I couldn't help but wonder as I did how Theta figured out about the baby but I decided to ask him later.
It didn't take long for me to notice something on the computer. "Theta!" I called. "We've got Cybermen on the way!"
He ran over to look, peering over my shoulder. "How many floors down?"
"One."
The screen showed the Cybermen marching up the stairwell. Running back over to the laptop on the other side of the room, my mate tapped in a command on it and words sounded.
"Levers operational."
My mate grinned and I couldn't help but grin back. "There's my favorite smile." I teased, earning a wink from my mate.
"You have many favorite things about me." His grin widened as he grabbed a magnaclamp and went back over to me.
"Mm…that's debatable." In response, he rolled his eyes and handed the magnaclamp over to me.
Before I knew it, we had them both attached to the wall next to the levers on opposite sides of the room.
"Press the red button." He told me. I quickly did as I was told. "When it starts, just hold on tight. Shouldn't be too bad for us but the Daleks and the Cybermen are steeped in Void Stuff. Are you ready?"
"As ready as I'll ever be." I answered, rubbing my stomach uncomfortably as we got into position. "But they certainly are." They, meaning the Daleks, who were now heading towards the large windows.
"Let's do it!" We pushed the levers upwards and then we hurriedly took hold of the magnaclamps.
"Online." The computer beeped.
The entire room was filled with the white light once more, but this time, there was also the sound of a strong wind. I gripped the handle of the magnaclamp tightly, trying to keep myself from falling into the Void. The Daleks were sucked through the window, smashing through the glass as they were pulled into the white light and back into the Void. The wind seemed to grow even stronger and I struggled to hold on, my mate having the same problem.
"The breach is open!" he shouted happily over the wind. "Into the Void! Ha!"
I couldn't help but grin over as we were billowed by the wind. Everything finally was working out! And then, it all came crashing down as suddenly there was a small explosion of sparks and the lever on my side moved back into the 'off' position. Our smiles fell off our face instantly.
"Offline."
"Turn it on!" My mate didn't have to tell as I was already trying to reach for it. I could barely even reach it, my fingertips was the only thing that was able to touch it. I didn't want to but…I knew I would have to let go of the magnaclamp to turn it back on.
Closing my eyes briefly, I released the magnaclamp, then managed to hold on onto the lever, pulling it back into 'on' mode.
"Online and locked."
The suction increased once more and now, I had nothing to hold onto but the lever. It wasn't enough, but I couldn't let go. I promised that nothing would happen to me, or our child, and I wasn't going to let that happen. So, I held on with all the strength I had in me.
"Hold on!" My mate exclaimed, fear in his voice.
Hearing him, I tightened my grip on the lever and I thought it would be easy to hold on, but felt my hold on it slowly loosen. I tried to adjust my grip, however, it was no use. My grip slipped and I fell down, screaming.
"SOPHIE! NO!"
Life flashed before my eyes. Growing up with Sarah Jane, listening to her stories of the Doctor and his adventures, my own adventures with him, falling in love, learning the Doctor was my mate…and finding out about our baby… It happened all at once. Seeing my life played like a movie…I knew I would never regret my life with my mate. I didn't want it to end…and luckily, it didn't have to.
Before I could get sucked in, the breach closed and my body slammed into the wall, knocking the out of me.
My first and last thought was of my baby, praying he or she would be okay…
When I finally woke up, I found myself hooked up to machines in the med-bay of the TARDIS. It took me a few minutes to remember what had happened and immediately started freaking out, hyperventilating. My IV started beeping in response, the beeping getting louder and louder as my throat closed up.
Suddenly, I felt hands on my shoulders.
"Sophie, calm down!"
At the sound of my mate's voice, I managed to calm down but not by much. "The…the…baby…" I choked out.
He ran his fingers through my hair. "The baby is fine." He reassured, and I immediately was, just hearing the baby was okay and wasn't…no…I wasn't going to even think about that. "I'm making sure of it, she's going to be just fine."
This caught my attention. "She?"
"Yes…she…" He smiled slightly, his eyes welling with tears. "We're having a girl…"
"But how…? I…I shouldn't know that for weeks…"
"That's true…for normal babies…our baby is part Time Lord…"
"Half human…" I breathed, my hand sliding down to my stomach. His hand joined mine and I let our fingers curl together as we rested our hands on the life we both created together. Our eyes met and I couldn't help but kiss, glad everything was okay. The baby was safe.
My mate pulled back and rested his forehead against mine. "I'm so glad you're okay…" he whispered. "I thought…"
Knowing how he was going to finish the sentence, I kissed him again to interrupt him. "But you didn't…I'm here…we're here." I whispered back against his lips. "You're not going to be alone…ever."
He nodded, letting out a shaky breath as he pulled back. "I'm going to let you rest. It's been a long day." He kissed my forehead. Before he could leave, I stopped him.
"Theta?" He turned around. "How did you find out about the baby?"
The question made him smile. "Sometimes, love, you don't do a good job at keeping your thoughts to yourself."
This was answer enough and I laughed softly. With another smile in my direction, he left the med-bay, leaving me to rest. I didn't rest for long, somehow hearing commotion coming from the console room. I managed to get the wires off of me and I got off the bed, slowly heading over to where the commotion.
I stepped into the console room, not expecting the sight I saw. A red-haired woman, in a wedding dress, glaring at my mate as he stared at her in disbelief.
"What?"

The sequel of Written in the Stars...
Stars Aligned...
Well, guys I finally did it! Written in the Stars is finally complete! Hard to believe it, I know, but it happened LOL. THANK GOD! I don't know when the sequel will be posted though, hopefully it'll be soon. In the meantime, I did post a story, rewriting the story in third person and I'd love for you guys to check that out if you want to keep reading about Sophie and the Doctor, written in a different point of view instead of first person!
Oh, and another thing, my fanfiction friend, Yugioh13 wrote her first Doctor Who fanfiction, revolving around the Doctor and Sophie. I'd love for you guys to check it out because it deserves more than one review! It's called Christmas Cookies, so check it out and maybe it'll make me post the sequel to this story quicker! ;) FYI, if you ever want to do the same and write a story about our favorite couple on here, you can gladly do it. I'm giving you permission to do it, just remember to mention me if you write one!
Anyway, until the sequel everyone! ;)
