Why she had given into the asinine request she had no idea, but all Relena knew was that she was going to die very soon.

Motorcycles were for the insane.

Especially if they belonged to former Gundam pilots. Particularly a former Gundam pilot who felt his life was cheap and therefore expendable.

Tightening her hold around his midsection, she leaned her helmeted head against his back and prayed that the ride would be over soon. This was, by far, the worst decision she had ever made in her life. She stayed wrapped around his torso for several minutes until he said her name.

"Relena?"

Opening her eyes (when she had shut them she'd never know) she realized that they were stopped and the motorcycle's engine had been turned off. "Heero?"

"You can let go now," he said, his voice low and gentle as if he were trying to coax a wounded animal to his side so he could help it.

"I…oh, sorry." After peeling herself off of him, she slid off the bike and removed the helmet.

"I guess I should have taken it easier. You're not used to it," he said as he reached out to take the helmet from her hands. "I apologize."

"It's not your fault. I should have said something sooner," she replied, staring at the toes of her boots.

"Next time I take you out, I'll make it an easy ride. Maybe along a beach somewhere," he said as he headed off towards the garage to stow the helmets before he stowed the bike.

"I'd like that," Relena said with a smile before she turned to enter the house.

As he made his way to the cabinet where he stored all of his motorcycle equipment, Heero fought the urge to smile at the memory of her clinging to him for dear life. Yes, for the most part he'd make sure that it wasn't too fast and weaving in and out of traffic, but he'd crank up the speed just a notch if it meant she'd wrap herself around him again.
