Chapter 53: I Don't Want To Say Goodbye.

September 5th X794

Lisanna's POV

Fairy Tail Guild Hall

She was dying, she knew that and it was obvious for the world to see, her world was ending, it had ended when she'd met that blonde woman, whom she'd lost everything for, she'd tried so hard to get rid of that bitch and she had, at least Lucy would never be part of her guild again, that was a plus of her dying.

She stared at the wall in front of her, she was confined to a bed in the infirmary now, she couldn't walk and she hadn't been able to for a while now, she found it ironic that she couldn't use her legs now, she was the same as Lucy had been, but she knew she'd never walk again, not in this life anyways.

Lucy, Lucy, Lucy. That's all anyone cared about, what was so damn important about the blonde celestial mage, why could no one look at Lisanna the way they had looked at Lucy.

She wanted that love, she had craved for it. But not anymore. She still wanted the blonde to die.

She lifted her hands to the blue fuzzy hat that kept her bald head warm, she'd lost her hair a while back because of this, the curse she had cast was what had caused that, but she couldn't find it in herself to care about something as petty as her hair, she didn't care about anything, she just wanted to, just wanted to...

What did she want again?

She shook her head slightly, the small motion sending jolts of pain into her body, she really did hate the pain that came along with dying, but it was well worth it, even if she hadn't succeeded in killing the blonde she had still accomplished pushing Lucy away from her.

'Are you still happy' a voice questioned. There it was, Lucy's voice, it was always her who visited her thoughts and she couldn't understand why.

'What do you want' she asked aloud, unaware that she had gained some curious looks from her brother and sister who hadn't left her side once since they had returned from Lucy's wedding.

'I want you to open you eyes' Lucy said once again, Lisanna glanced around the room, she saw everything, the white walls that surrounded her, the door off to the left, the rows of beds to both her sides and the windows that let the cool autumn air breeze into the stuffy room, the flowers that had been placed in a crystal vase beside her bed and that was it.

'There's nothing to see' she snapped back, slowly the blonde appeared in front of her bed, a malicious grin on her face, Lisanna had seen this face every night in her dreams, but lately she'd started showing herself in daylight as well.

'And your here again, because' she snapped harshly at the blonde who was hovering over her bed.

'You're missing it' Lucy laughed in a sadistic manner, her brown eyes which Lisanna had come to know so well were a harsher tone, Lucy looked truly evil, the take over mage wasn't going to admit it, but she was scared.

'Missing what? Not that I care. Why are you even here' Lisanna snapped, she was getting extremely tired of these stupid hallucinations and she wanted the stupid blonde who ruined her life to go away.

'You'll care once you figure it out, unfortunately I can't tell you. I'm here because like I've said, you created me, I come out when you want me and it seems as if you always want me' The blonde laughed loudly as she finished her sentence, Lisanna got over her fear and growled at the hallucination.

'Like hell I want you! I want you dead' she growled once more.

'You'll be dead soon, don't worry, love' Lucy said with a wink, the celestial mage moved closer to where Lisanna's head rested on a pillow, grabbed her head and laid it softly on her lap, Lisanna tried to struggle to get away, but the hallucination held her down, soon she became to tired to fight back and just let her back be stroked by her enemies hand.

'They'll miss you, you know, even thought you don't deserve it, she'll forgive you to. You were loved in this life, you had so many adventures, do you remember all the wonderful times we had in this life? But you've always been selfish haven't you' the blonde laughed lightly, a sorrowful smile replacing her usual malicious smirk.

Lisanna stayed silent, she knew what the blonde was saying was the truth, she was selfish, but she also didn't care.

'You needed more. It's almost time to say you're farewells, love. It's getting darker isn't it? I hope you've had fun, goodbye, love. - Soon, soon, there'll be no more pain...I promise' the voice had changed at the last part, it sounded like a woman was crying, it wasn't Lucy's voice, Lisanna gathered that much.

But she decided not to look for the sobbing woman, slowly she slid her eyes shut, faintly registering that her face was getting wiped very gently.

'We love you, Lisanna'

Mirajane had gathered her sisters frail form in her arms and lifted herself onto the bed, Lisanna's head was resting in her lap, her hand was gently rubbing her sisters back while her other was wiping away the tears the young girl had unknowingly shed.

The youngest take over mage had thrashed alas soon as Mira had touched her but she'd held her down and eventually Lisanna had lost the energy to fight back and it seemed as though she had been having a conversation inside her head, but Mira and Elfman had thought nothing of it, for their master said that being this close to death could cause hallucinations.

Mira felt tears rolling down her face and the rough but gentle hand of her brother wiping them away, they were already mourning for the loss of their sister, it just wasn't fair that she was being taken away from them again and to witness her deterioration first hand was heartbreaking.

But this time at least they were prepared for her departure.

'We love you, Lisanna' she whispered to the dying girl in her lap, this was painful for both Mira and Elfman, but they knew that Lisanna had brought this on herself, what they didn't understand was why. Maybe they would learn more when Lucy came to see Lisanna for the first and final time...

'I'm going to miss you' she whispered to her little sister as she slept peacefully on her lap, she didn't know what to feel anymore, she wanted to believe this was all some big horrible nightmare, but Mira knew better than that, this was life, and for the second time it was coming crashing down around her.

'Sis...' Mira looked up to see Elfman with tears streaming down his face, she couldn't blame him, she also had tears running down her cheeks.

'Its as if she doesn't realize we're here anymore' Mira said, her voice barely above a whisper, it was true, it was as if Lisanna had forgotten her entire reason for living, her whole day was spent either cursing Lucy of talking to something that was invisible to them, she never acknowledged anyone from Fairy Tail anymore, not even when Natsu comes to visit, which Mira admits is very, very rare, but it happens maybe once a month for no more than ten minutes, but the youngest take over mage doesn't even see him!

Mira wanted to scream at her sister in frustration, she could never catch the attention of the girl, she wanted to say goodbye to her sister before she passed away, but with the way things were going it was likely to not happen, it couldn't happen if Lisanna couldn't register the world around her.

'Sleep tight baby sister' Mira whispered as she got up from the bed, gently putting Lisanna's head on the pillow.

'I'm going now' she said as she walked to the door, she noted the torn look on her brothers face before she shut the infirmary door behind her.

She walked through the guild and to the doors, nodding at everyone who greeted her but never speaking, for if she did she would burst into tears.

Letting the guild doors slam shut behind her she walked out into the rain, the city of Magnolia was deathly quiet today.

Ten minutes later and soaked to the bone Mira came to a stop on a grassy green hill and fell to her knees, by herself she didn't have to be strong like she did in front of her brother and sister, when she was alone she could let her sorrows come pouring out.

So that's exactly what she did...

She screamed and she cried and she cursed the world...

Because she didn't want to say goodbye...
