Amelia Gilbert

I brought my legs up into my stomach, curling up into a little ball on Damon's bed with my face shoved in his pillow, trying to remember whether I dreamt kissing Mason Lockwood or if it actually happened.

Oh yeahhhh, it happened.

I pained groan came out of my throat when I remembered his erection pushed up against my stomach. I remember actually mentally celebrating that I had made Mason Lockwood randy, as if that was some type of achievement!

We were both drunk, both spent the day getting harassed by Damon, and I kept telling myself that it was Future Mia's problem to deal with. I don't know what his excuse was. For me, getting hit on by an older hot guy that wasn't Damon was great, but Mason? I didn't think he ever saw me like that.

But what it was, it didn't mean anything and my stomach was twisting into a knot of guilt thinking about how I could do that to Tyler. There was no way I could let him find out about it. We had finally gotten to a good place and I didn't want to ruin that. I'd be pissed as hell if he got with Elena!

And then there was Damon.

Oh God, Damon.

I kept replaying in my head how I spent the whole night pressed up against his chest, arms around his neck, lips attached to his. Butterflies fluttered around that knot of shame. It felt nice to be close to him again, to allow his hands on me, to be in a moment we came close to had it not been for his screw up.

"Morning, tipsy." I lifted myself up onto my elbows and turned my head to catch the devil himself coming out of his bathroom with only a white towel wrapped around his waist. Beads of water dripped down his naked chest and all my thoughts were tossed out the window.

Oh Holy God Damn.

"Like what you see?"

I quickly closed my mouth.

"Put some damn clothes on."

I rolled off Damon's bed, putting my hands on my hips like the strong confident woman I was. But then a chill hit my legs and Damon's eyes dropped down so mine did too. I squeaked when I realised I was still only wearing his shirt and that shirt only came up mid thigh.

I made a dramatic dive back under the covers, but never stopped rolling.

In a sausage cocoon of covers, I landed softly on the floor on the other side.

Well, that was a slight over reaction. I blame the morning - never been good at those. Maybe I'm still a little drunk? Hey, maybe that means I can kiss Damon some more!

Damon sped round the bed, letting go of his towel which to my surprise and slight disappointment, didn't fall when he offered me both his hands.

"If I see something new I'll throw a dollar at it."

I groaned out when I allowed him to pull me up right. Why did I think drinking would be a good idea? I have such a long day ahead of me and I'll have to suffer through it. Damon wouldn't give me any sympathy, Elena certainly wouldn't give me any sympathy and Jenna - well Jenna would probably be going through a hangover too so maybe I'll stick with her the entire day and we can be in pain together.

Damon reached round and removed the covers from my shoulders, tossing it back onto the bed. He then looked down at me wearing only his shirt.

"Much better." He sent a wicked smile my way.

I wrapped my arms around my waist. "Where are my clothes?"

He placed his hands on my waist and guided me into him.

"No, no," I said, planting my hands on that muscular chest of his. "We are not doing this."

"We've been doing this," he replied, walking me backwards until my back was against the wall. I had horrible flashbacks of Mason doing the same. "All night if I remember correctly."

"I just-" I stared at his chest, trying to form an excuse but the truth was that I wanted to do it. For one night I wanted to forget what he did and just pretend. "I...uh."

He lifted my chin. "You," he leant down, "don't need you explain yourself." His thumb trailed along my jaw as he held my face. "But trust me when I say this," I swallowed and tried to pull back out of his grasp but he held me at a steady eye level. "That is not the last time we're doing that." He wasn't saying it in the smug arrogant way he usually does just to wind people up, he said it like it was a promise, that he needed it and I couldn't deny it because I knew it wouldn't be our last. I knew we wouldn't be able to stay away from each other forever, but for now, we needed to. I needed to.

He let go of my face but he did nothing to change the minimal distance between us.

"Last night," he dipped down to my height. "Doesn't get to happen again," he said sternly, his jaw tightening as the words come out.

What? But he just said...

I stared back into eyes, slightly hurt and shocked to hear those words coming out of his mouth when they're supposed to come out of mine.

"You're seventeen and that means you don't touch that stuff unless I'm there with you." Drinking, he was talking about me drinking. I hated how much relief shot through me when I realised that was what he was referring to. "Anything could have happened to you last night."

"I know, but in my defence-"

"You always have a defence."

"That's because I'm never in the wrong." Except last night because I was. Big time. "I wasn't alone," I replied, fiddling with the hem of his shirt whilst trying to keep eye contact when all I wanted was to look away because I kept thinking about what happened with Mason. "Not for the most part. I was with Caroline and she ditched me. I left as soon as I realised." Liar, liar, pants on fire. "You should be taking this up with her really." He scrutinised me for a moment. "And then I ran into Katherine and then you showed up... what were you doing there anyway?"

"You weren't home, I got..." he shot me a sarcastic smile even though there was nothing sarcastic about what he was telling me. "worried," he said as if he found this hard to admit, using sarcasm to hide it.

I crossed my arms under my chest and leaned back on my heels. "And do you do that often?" I asked him. "Check up on me that is?"

"What do you think?"

"I don't know. Just tell me."

He didn't, because he's annoying like that.

Surprisingly, Damon handed me back the covers I used to cover up earlier and wrapped them around my shoulders, bringing me back into my little cocoon.

I didn't know why until Stefan came in a second later, twisting his head from left to right like he was searching for something. "Damon, did you take my laptop?"

Whoa, laptop?! Fancy that! Stefan is hitting up the 21st Century! Can anyone stop this man!

Stefan didn't find his laptop, instead, he found Damon pressing me up against the wall.

"Don't you ever knock, brother?" Damon said, placing one of his hands beside my head. "What if Mia was indecent?" He gave an arrogant shrug that matched his arrogant smirk.

I looked back and forth between the two brothers before deeply clearing my throat. "Morning, Stefan, this um, this right here, isn't what it looks like," I said, trying to edge Damon away from me with a hand pushing against his shoulder. He didn't even move in the slightest. He's always so bloody difficult. "Move!" He ignored me.

"Yeah, in my shirt, in my bed, totally not what it looks like, Stef." Damon looked down at me. "And those swollen lips, I'm sure Mia can explain that."

My hands instantly went to my lips.

"Ok, Damon, that's enough," Stefan said calmly, almost rolling his eyes at his brother. He's chilled a bit, a month ago he would have been threatening Damon to stay away from me, but dare I say it, the brothers had made progress over the last couple of months. Maybe he trusted him now which is stupid because he's brother only just got done breaking my heart.

"That's what I tried to tell her -" With all my strength I violently shoved Damon. He didn't even flinch. "I found Katherine with her last night."

And just like that, the entire mood changed.

"What?" Stefan's attention darted to me.

"She's making her move, Stefan, which means we need to make ours." Damon turned to face Stefan, blocking him from me.

"So what's the plan fellas?" I let go of my covers to punch my fist into the palm of my hands.

Damon was quick to catch the covers, scowling at me as he wrapped it back around my body.

"Get dressed," he demanded, this time his back to Stefan, obscuring his brother's view of me. What was this all about? Was Damon actually concerned about Stefan seeing my legs?

"When you're ready, I'll take you home." I could hear Stefan, but I certainly couldn't see him.

"It's fine, I'll do it," Damon dismissed.

"It's ok." I moved out from behind Damon, but just to keep him happy I kept the covers tight around me. "If Stefan takes me, he can pick flowers up on the way for the twin. You know, because their fighting." I don't know what my twin was talking about; I'm playing this so cool. I get why we had to lie to Caroline, but did that extend to Damon? Were we now not trusting Damon? A month ago I would have felt bad about that.

I shuffled over with the covers wrapped around me and picked up my clothes. I then continued to rustle over to the bathroom.

"Amelia," I looked over at Damon. "Remember what I said."

"Damon," I countered. "Put some clothes on."

As I got changed, more of last night's events hit me. I called Katherine Grandma?! Oh Jesus. Something tells me she's going to make me pay for that one.

And Amy Bradley bitching about me in the bathroom! I'm definitely telling this one to Matt, it is just the thing that will put him right off her. No one disses his best friend and gets away with it!

So I texted this to him.

Amelia: I'm sorry to tell you this, Matthew, but your precious Amy Bradley called me a whore last night. What a horrible turn off, I know. I'm just glad you found out the truth now before you got too involved.

Matt: Lol.

Matt: I think she's just became my dream woman. Legit.

Amelia: What the hell man? Where is your loyalty? The woman called me a slut!

Matt: I know 3 3

Amelia: Ok, I don't think you fully understand so I'm going to have to explain this again.

"Are you ready, Amelia?" Stefan knocked.

I pulled open the door, looking better, but probably still like hell.

Damon had already gone. He had to head off early to help set up the Historical Volunteer Picnic something something something. This town threw way too many events and for some reason, I always ending up being forced to attend all of them. Caroline signed me up too because... you know what, I don't know why, she knows I don't like being helpful but she still signs me up for these things. It's really annoying; I need a new best friend.

When we got outside, the sun was blinding.

"Urgh, I feel like a vampire," I muttered, slugging myself towards Stefan's car. He placed his forearms on the car roof and smiled meekly over the top at me. "Oh yeah, sorry."

Usually this would be the part where I chat Stefan' ear off, bond with him, cement our growing friendship, but this morning I felt like crap so I rested my forehead against the passenger's side window and dozed off.

"Thanks for the ride, Stef." I yawned and gave him a salute when we arrived. "Are you coming in?" I asked, hoisting my bag over my shoulder.

"In a minute," he replied with a small smile.

"Keep it real, Stef." I gave him a peace sign before going inside.

Yeah, I think I'm still drunk.

Unlike the Salvatore house, no one was up yet at the Gilbert's residence so I was able to slip into my bed without any questions being thrown my way.

Two hours later, I woke up, showered, had some coffee and felt so much better.

I was just putting my makeup on in the bathroom I shared with Elena when Jeremy appeared in the reflection of the mirror standing in the doorway.

"Yes, Young Jeremy?" I greeted.

"I can't believe your ex boyfriend's a werewolf," he commented. Looks like someone had clued him in.

"Tyler isn't the werewolf, Mason is." Hang on a second, I made out with a werewolf! Ok so I can check off vampire, werewolf, now I just needed to find a ghost and a zombie. With how things are going, I wouldn't be shocked in the slightest if either of them existed. "At least I don't think he is." I turned round, holding my lipstick in my hands.

"It should be easy enough for us to figure it out," Jeremy said with a simple shrug.

"Oh my god, you and me teaming up just like the old days!"

"There is no us, Jeremy," Elena corrected, entering the bathroom to rain on everyone's parade. "I said that we wouldn't keep things from you anymore. That doesn't mean that I want you involved in it."

"By definition of being in this family, I'm involved," Jeremy replied, tapping his family ring.

"This is dangerous. You have to stay out of it, ok?" she told him, raisings her brows as she waited for his answer.

"Alright. Just saying."

Elena smiled at him and turned to face the mirror.

"Oh but it's ok for me to be put in the line of fire," I muttered, turning to face the mirror too. She glared at my reflection.

"And where were you last night?"

I shifted my eyes left to right.

"Coming, Jeremy!" I abruptly called out and turned to walk out.

"Mia," she said sharply.

I sighed heavily and turned back around. "You already know the answer so why are you asking me?"

"I thought you were threw with Damon."

"And I am."

"So?"

"So... it's none of your business," I said lightly, shrugging my arms at her as I walked backwards into my room, making sure to close and lock the door behind me.

Elena has never liked Damon so she wouldn't understand. She could be very judgemental when she wanted to be and right now I was already judging myself enough for last night's antics.

"So," Jeremy was in my room! He stood up when I came out the bathroom. "Are we going to do this?"

"Do what?" I answered back clueless to what he was going on about.

"According to my sources, Tyler is at the Grill. Let's go." He threw me my back and snapped his fingers. "You're driving."

I followed Jeremy to my car. "Who are your sources?" He tapped his nose. "We should start our own PI business. We could bring Caroline in on it and get her to compel the truth out of people. That'll set us apart from the other PI's."

"Matt could be our receptionist," Jeremy said, nodding his head.

"I like it." I nodded my head too. "Elena could be our cleaner."

When we got to the grill, Jeremy grabbed us a table whilst I went straight to the bar. The bartender from last night was working and began pouring me a glass of wine.

"No, no, no!" I waved my hand. "Just a Pepsi today."

I made my way back to mine and Jeremy's table with our drinks when I heard my brother's name mentioned.

"When did Jeremy Gilbert get so cute?"

Huh?

I recognised that voice! That was the voice from the bathroom last night with Amy and it belonged to the Matthew to her Mia, Sarah. She was bending over the snooker table as she checked out my brother. If she thinks she can imply I was some kind of hussy and then get with my brother, well I'll tell you, she has another thing coming!

"Oh no," Amy dismissed, also staring into the direction of my sibling. "Stay away, that guy's damaged goods."

"That's my brother you're talking about, Amy," I announced my presence in a very bitchy tone that I don't think I've ever used before. I imagine this is how Katherine sounds all the time.

Holding the cue stick, Amy's head turned and sighed when she saw me.

"Mia."

"Amy."

I lifted my head high and stalked past them.

Jeremy wore a half smile as I slid in opposite him.

"What was all that about?" he asked, nodding his head towards the girls.

"Oh Jeremy, it's great, I've got a rivalry going on," I said, rubbing my hands together and placing his drink in front of him. "She's like the Demi Lovato to my Taylor Swift. Things were getting a bit stale with Courtney so you can understand why I'm thrilled."

"You're so weird." Jeremy laughed and took a sip of his drink. "Ex alert."

I twisted round to find Tyler sitting on his own, on his phone, not too far from the girl's.

"He has a name Jeremy."

"We should go over, see what we can find out."

"Elena said-"

"Since when did you listen to what Elena said?" Jeremy replied, raising his brows.

"While that is a good point," I held up a finger, "he hates you."

"But he loves you," Jeremy shot back.

"Look, can't we just enjoy a nice drink of Pepsi?" I asked, but Jeremy was already getting up out of his seat. "Apparently not. Jeremy!" I sighed when my sibling defied me and kept moving towards Tyler.

Truth is after last night I wasn't ready to look Tyler in the eye, but looks like I'm going to have to.

I got up and went the other way to Jeremy, coming up from behind Tyler instead of in front.

Tyler wasn't aware I was there when Jeremy approached him.

"Hey man," Jeremy said in a friendly tone that I've never seen him use towards Tyler before. Even before Vicky they didn't get along that well. Tyler was the guy on the football team while Jeremy was the artsy one. They were just two completely different people who ran in different circles. Tyler barely looked up from his phone. "How have you been?" Without being invited, Jeremy took the spare stool opposite Tyler and placed his books on the table.

"Since when?" Tyler mumbled.

"I don't know," Jeremy kept calm and cool despite Tyler's frosty attitude. "I haven't seen you much since your father's funeral. I just figured that maybe you'd want to-"

"I'm fine, Gilbert," Tyler cut him off sharply and I felt bad for my baby bro! He was just trying to be nice!

"Yeah, ok." Jeremy gave me a quick look before getting up.

"Gilbert?" I said, placing my hands on my hips. Tyler's head snapped round his shoulder. "You've never called me that before."

Tyler instantly looked guilty.

"Wait," he called after Jeremy. Jeremy turned and sat back down. "I'm sorry. Bad day, bad month." I moved to stand next to Tyler. "Listen, you were cool that day, at the wake. Thanks for that." Tyler glanced towards me. "I felt like kind of a freak show."

"We know that feeling well." Jeremy nodded at me.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I never feel like a freak." They both then stared at me like they were expecting me to do something freakish. Not one to disappoint, I started tap dance. I didn't really. If Matt was here I probably would have. Oh Matt, I miss him.

"You look nice today," Tyler said to me, putting his phone down.

I went to thank him but Jeremy spoke over me. "It's called the hangover look."

"Oh really?" Tyler laughed. "Girl's night?"

"Caroline," I corrected. "She's still..." I trailed off when I noticed Amy and her little friend Sarah coming over.

Tyler's brows furrowed as I stopped talking.

"Hey," Amy landed at our table. She shot a smirk my way before leaning real close to Tyler. "Thanks for the text. Where to?"

Tyler had this deer in the headlights look like he had just been caught cheating on his girl. He looked from Amy back to me, looking completely stumped. "Oh, um-" He opened his mouth like he wanted to explain.

"You said your mum was gone all day, right?" Amy continued, edging her hand closer to his while her buddy Sarah twisted a strand of hair, smiling seductively at Jeremy. "Empty house, fully stocked bar..."

"Sounds like you have a fun day ahead of you," I said through gritted teeth.

Damn you, Amy Bradley!

I went to abort the mission and walk away, but Tyler reached for me and stopped me by my elbow.

"You're welcome to come too, Mia," he quickly said, trying not to make it sound like he was calling Amy round for a booty call. Out of all the people, why my nemesis!

"Yeah, Mia," Amy echoed. "If Tyler's Uncles there, at least we'll have a guy each."

Ohhhhh, she is playing a dangerous game.

My eyes grew wide as Tyler looked at her. They immediately shrunk when he looked back at me.

"No thanks, I've got some volunteering to do." I stepped backwards. "You should try it sometime, Amy, it really cleanses the soul."

With the last word in, I walked away like the Miss Sassy Pants I am.

"Mia!"

I closed my eyes and prayed that Tyler wouldn't ask me what Amy meant about his Uncle. Hopefully he just assumed it meant she had a thing for Mason, not me. What if Amy told him what she saw last night? In that second, I reassured myself that she didn't see anything. All she saw was us having a drink. I bet she wouldn't spin it that way though.

I slowly turned and smiled at Tyler.

"That wasn't what-" He jerked his thumb over his shoulder. "We're just going to hang out."

"It's fine, Tyler." But my voice totally said it's not. I want Tyler to be happy but with Amy?! No! My ex and my nemesis cannot date! It's unethical. "Just, be careful, alright?." His brows dipped together, a weird smile on his face.

"Be careful?" he repeated, a crinkle appearing between his eyes.

"I don't trust that girl. I mean after the stunt she played with Matt and Caroline, I don't think you should either." The crease between Tyler's eyes only seemed to get deeper and deeper as I kept talking which probably was a sign I should shut up. "I think you could do a lot better, Tyler."

"Well you don't want me, so..." he threw a sarcastic smile my way. My mouth instantly shut from the four more points on why he shouldn't date Amy. "So you don't get to tell me who I can and cannot date," he sniped.

Whoaaaa, this has taken a turn.

"I'm not," I replied, taken back. I'm just clearly trying to save him from making the biggest mistake of his life! "I'm just giving you a warning, that girl jumps from guy to guy," I said instead, using the exact same words she used to describe me last night. Revenge!

Although this seemed to be biting me in the ass.

"And you don't?" His eyes narrowed on me. "How is Damon?"

I stared back at him dumbfounded. This escalated quickly.

"Tyler, I... " I struggled to find the words. I was not expecting this. "Where is all this coming from?" I choked out. "I was just messing around," I said uneasily.

Tyler watched me for a few moments.

"You in, Gilbert?" Tyler said to Jeremy, but remained frowning at me.

"Uh," Jeremy let out, not expecting to be invited to the orgy. "Yeah, ok."

Tyler gave me the coldest look ever and walked back to the table where Amy was smirking like there was no tomorrow!

Well. I just got owned.

This has Amy Bradley written all over it!

Jeremy went to follow Tyler but I was quick to grab his arm.

"If you get with Amy, or even Sarah, you're not allowed home!" I exclaimed and he laughed, pushing my hand from his arm.

"Relax. I'm just going to get more info out of Tyler," Jeremy replied and I nodded.

"Yeah you better," I said, glaring in Amy's direction.

Amy 1, Mia 0.

She may have won the battle, but I will win the war!

I headed over to the Volunteer's Picnic with my tail tucked between my legs. I was only trying to be a good friend, warn him off the boyfriend stealer, but you know, if that's so terrible then I hold my hands up.

I was making my way over to the table to help lay out the food when Mason appeared, squeezing between two cars and carrying a tray of food.

My heart leapt into my mouth and I spun round, moving in the opposite direction.

Not quite ready to face him yet.

Too awkward.

"Hey you." I walked straight into Damon's chest. Where did he come from? "You're looking better." I wish I could say the same but he had a shirt on.

"Are you saying I didn't look good thing morning?"

"On the contrary, I loved your whole swollen lip look." He tilted my head up with a finger underneath my chin. "Looks like I'm going to have to recreate it."

I swatted his hand away. "Ha, ha."

He nodded towards the picnic area where Mason and Stefan were now having a show down. "Aren't you supposed to be volunteering?"

"I decided to quit." I nodded.

His mouth tugged up into a side smirk. "Really?" He checked his watch. "That didn't take long."

"Yeah, just decided volunteering wasn't for me." I shrugged. "Oh, hi Aunt Jenna," I greeted as she past.

Her hair was ruffled, her skin pale and she wore big dark sunglasses. She merely responded with a blank face and a peace sign as she walked past. I couldn't help but snigger.

"Seems like you're not the only one with a hangover," Damon observed.

"Yeah but I don't look as bad as that." I jerked my thumb over my shoulder. "I look fresh as a day."

"With a bit of pink in your cheeks." He walked towards me, getting way too close for my liking. "I wonder who put that there."

I folded my arms.

"Are you done?" I asked him.

"I'm having fun, Mia, you remember that? It's something we used to have."

"Before you ruined it all," I reminded.

Damon didn't reply, his eyes shifted to the side. I glanced down to where Stefan was to find him shaking hands with Mason. I was happy to see some kind of peace treaty had been made.

"C'mon." Damon grabbed my hand without waiting for me to take his. He led me down reluctantly to where Stefan was. I tried pulling back because I didn't want to face Mason, but luckily by the time we got down the hill, he was nowhere around.

"What are you doing?"

Stefan didn't even flinch at Damon sudden arrival. Man, I wish I had super cool hearing.

"Negotiating peace on your behalf," Stefan replied.

"What a good man," I nudged Damon, gesturing to Stefan. "Would you be able to do that for me and this girl called Amy?"

"Who the hell is Amy?" Damon pulled a face and looked down at me.

"Where have you been?" I shrugged my arms out. "My nemesis..."

"Your nemesis is Katherine," Damon corrected.

"I needed a human nemesis, someone I could actually take," I told him.

Damon muttered something about me that I would have been able to hear if I had their supersonic hearing. "I don't want peace." He turned back to Stefan, sounding like a child who had just been told they weren't allowed something.

"Hm, consider it opposite day," Stefan said like he didn't give a shit. Wow, this man has so much swag.

"Stefan, please tell me you don't seriously think a hand shake just solved our problem?" Damon moved round in front of Stefan and rubbed into his shoulders. "Mia, take a walk." Damon nodded his head towards where the lady volunteers were setting up. I could see my twin and my bestie Caroline with them.

"What?" I exclaimed. "You dragged me all the way down here and then... " Damon put his hands on my shoulders, spun me around and gave me a gentle shove up the hill.

I don't understand how they didn't see me as a valuable asset yet.

"Hate to watch her go, but love to watch her leave," Damon said loudly to Stefan for my benefit.

I just held up my middle finger.

I had to climb all the way back up the hill and I was not too happy about it.

"Aloha, ladies," I said as I joined my amigos. "I want a word with you." Caroline looked up at me from shuffling through one of the boxes. "You totally ditched me last night!"

"I know, I'm sorry, I just, I wasn't feeling well, I was upset about Matt-"

"That excuse is wearing thin, missy!" I sat down on the bench next to Elena. "You know what happened because you left me?" I made out with Mason Lockwood. "I ran into Katherine."

Caroline's eyes grew wide. "You did?"

"Yeah and I was very drunk. It wasn't a good combination, I probably riled her up even more."

"I'll make it up to you," Caroline vowed. "Girl's night tonight?"

"No, no." I shook my head. "I am done with girl's night for awhile." Any more night's out and I'll end up like Jenna who is currently sitting very still in a corner. I think under those sunglasses she was asleep.

I zoned out whilst Caroline began bitching about her mom. I know I shouldn't because it wasn't fair, but I always hated when people complained about their parents. I'd give anything, you know.

In my attempts to block out Caroline, I noticed Mason.

And he was talking to Liz.

She looked completely taken back by whatever he had said and then her gaze snapped to Damon and Stefan.

"Have you seen Jeremy?"

I had a bad feeling about whatever Mason was saying to Liz. Again, that incredible hearing power would come in handy right now and since we apparently were not trusting Caroline, I couldn't even ask her.

"Mia?" Elena touched my shoulder.

"Huh?"

"Jeremy," she prompted, "is he coming?"

"No, he's on a date. Excuse me."

"A date? What?" I got up and moved past her. "Mia!"

I kept going until I reached Damon.

He was actually being helpful and putting up a gazebo as I got to him.

"Three times in one day," he said, not even having turned around yet to see me. "Dare I say am I making my way back into your good books?" I wasn't even sure if he was talking to me until he turned around.

"I saw Mason talking to Liz," I said, skipping the banter. "She started looking at you and Stefan. I think... I think he might have told her you're vampires."

Damon looked over my head and scanned for Liz.

"Right." He stepped forward placed his hands on my shoulder, rubbing his thumbs into my sweet spot. "Good girl."

"I'm not a dog."

That brought his attention back down on me.

"You were kissing like one last night, all that tongue." I was in the middle of rolling my eyes when he tilted my chin up and stole a kiss off my lips. "Thanks for the heads up."

My cheeks went bright red and I didn't get the chance to scold him as he was already making his way to Liz.

I decided to follow them. Since I couldn't hear from a distance, I stood nearby with my phone in my hand, trying to blend in with the other teenagers forced to be here.

Jeremy: Amy just told Tyler you were with his Uncle last night.

I pinched the bridge of my nose. That bitch is soooo dead.

Jeremy: ?

Amelia: Nothing happened. He was just warning me off Damon!

Jeremy: You got with three guys last night?!

Amelia: WHAAAAAAT!

Jeremy: Ha, I'm just kidding.

Amelia: Thank God. I was ready to knock a bitch out.

Jeremy: Yeah, apparently it was just two guys.

Amelia: Best be joking, bro. Found out anything yet?

Jeremy: It's a little difficult with the girls here. All they want to do is get drunk and kiss me, can't really blame them to be honest.

Amelia: This is why you need me.

" Hey, I saw you with Mason earlier," Damon casually mentioned in his conversation with Liz. See, that's how you ask the difficult questions. Damon was almost too good at it. "What was that about?" Liz paused for a split second and that's all it took for us to realize.

She knew.

Thanks for all the nice comments! Again they put me in the mood to write and I was able to bang out this chapter!

So close to Elijah's entrance, I can't wait!

Let me know if there's any scenes in this episode or even the upcoming episodes that you want to see include Mia! I love finding ways to add her in!

Thanks again!
