The Color of Hope: Chapter 53: Rejected Offer
Naraku, and whatever monstrosities he employed had thrown them together. Like it or not they were stuck that way until their mutual threat was terminated.
To protect the priestess and Kibou, they would need to put earlier events behind them and make the effort to work together. Had Ryutakami known then what he knew now, their earlier meeting would have been vastly different. Perhaps they could find equal footing after the group was reunited. But there was no easy way to correct the situation now.
Deciding on this course of action, and making one last attempt to help Inuyasha, Ryutakami offered, "I can help-"
"I don't need your help!" Inuyasha hissed. "If you really wanna help, make yourself useful and fuck off!"
"Oh, I think I'll be sticking around actually," the dragon supplied, his tone matter of fact.
"We'll see about that," Inuyasha snarled.

To everyone who responded to my last update- you guys are so very amazing, and you each remind me that no matter my absence, no matter the delay, that you will always be there, and you prove it to me time and time again. I can't tell you how very much it means to me.
But I will say that you guys mean the world to me.
Thank you all…
