Summary Okuninmitama learns a lesson
Okunimitama stared at the ruins of his palace. He should have known better. It was at his invitation that Alia has come to Izumo. He arranged the naming ceremony . Arranged to usher Alia's party to the site All in the name of peace and family harmony
Ouji and Alia were his cousins . InuHime no kami was his mother. Inuyasha and Kagome though not kami were his aunt and uncle. His grandfather Susanoo presided over the ceremony. The ceremony took place at Izumo during the months when violence was prohibited.
In order to obtain the permits for humans and youkai to enter Izumo during the month of gods he had given his personal guarantee to Amaterasu. Anything that happened would be on his head. What could go wrong?
A baby and small puppy. A hanyou and a miko. A minor would simply escort them to the grounds and escort them out . Nothing could simpler. Nothing could go wrong If only he had realized how much Amaterasu hated Alia She was Basho's nightmare. Basho has tried to fix the mistake by killing Alia and had her ass handed to her. Since Basho was Amaterasu's wish, she was also responsible tor her actions. or so he thought.
Seeing Alia again brought all the hate back to Amatersau. Alia did not help by threatening her Sticking out her tongue and biting her thumb at her been the last straw. They knew that they would never hear the end of it.
They stayed at his palace for as long as they could. Finally he obtained Susanoo's protection for the shrine at Inu Jinja and hid them there. Finally Inuyasha and Kagome could stand it no more. They decided that living with Amaterausu's threats were better than living with Princess Puppy. Besides they had Alia to protect them
He came home thinking it all was over. The month of gods ended. It was time to get back t Izumo and deal with the day to day business of running Japan's main shrine. Except it along with his house was in ruins
He was a kami. Repairing and replacing the shrine was a piece of cake. The destruction was Amaterasu's way of telling him to mind his own business. He had been warned Next time he would listen.
