"I can't do it." He pouted, kicking the table leg as he sat down with a quill in his hand.

Kristoff sighed and rested his cheek in the palm of his hand as he leaned up against the table. He watched Fredrik struggle to complete the math problems that his tutor was "forcing" him to do. Though Fredrik was a great kid with great morals, he was very stubborn when it came to learning and/or responsibility. You could say he shared that trait with Anna.

"You can." Kristoff encouraged as he picked up his own quill and wrote down the problem that was on Fredrik's parchment. "Tell me what you know already."

Fredrik sighed. "I know that the diameter of the circle is 8…but I need to find the radius."

"Good!" Kristoff praised and wrote that down on his paper. "Alright, now write this down. The radius is half of the diameter."

Fredrik did as told and wrote that down next to his circle. "So do I have to figure out what is half of eight since it's the diameter?"

"Don't ask me. What do you think?" Kristoff asked, eyeing his son.

"I don't know dad, that's why I'm asking you!" Fredrik half yelled half whined.

"Hey, enough." Kristoff chided. "I'm just trying to help you….now yes, you have to figure out what half of eight is in order to find the radius."

Fredrik studied the paper intensely. All of his life so far, he'd been absolutely terrible at math. He was the worst out of all of the children and he knew it. He had a thing for chemistry though. He could do the math in that; easy, but simple math like this was a battlefield to him and to the people trying to teach it to him.

"….Is it four? Because four and four added together makes eight and that's what the diameter is. So…yeah my answer is four." He concluded, looking at Kristoff's expression.

"That is correct." Kristoff smiled and lightly patted his son on the back. "See? If you just do everything step by step, it isn't so hard."

Eleven-year-old Fredrik gave his father a small smile and set the quill down. He looked down at his work and smiled. He and his father usually didn't get along, maybe because they were polar opposites so they didn't agree on much but if they were having a good day, they got along perfectly. This was one of those days. He liked it when it was just him and his father alone because with people around, it triggered an argument.

"Thanks for helping me." Fredrik said and gathered his papers together, giving Kristoff a small smile.

"You know you can always come to me, right?" He asked, wanting to make sure his son was aware.

Fredrik only gave him a small nod which didn't ease Kristoff's suspicion but he accepted it and nodded to show him he understood.

"What are my favorite boys doing?" A smiling Anna walked in the room.

"By favorite I hope you mean me, your husband, and his imaginary friend." Alexander commented following Anna inside.

Anna gave Alexander the 'really?' look and shook her head. "I meant all of you, you jerk." She replied defenselessly. Alexander just put an arm around her shoulders and brought her in for a side hug.

"Dad helped me with my math." Fredrik announced like he knew Anna was waiting for him to explain what they were doing.

"He did?" Anna asked in a surprised manner, glancing at Kristoff who just shrugged and nodded. "Well did you tell him thank you?"

"Yep."

Anna leaned down and kissed Fredrik's red locks before going over to Kristoff and plopping down on his lap like it was no big deal. However, it made her two sons hilariously uncomfortable and Kristoff tried his very best not to show what he was feeling when Anna's rear was against his pants.

"Uh…we're gonna go…" Alexander said with a grossed out face as he grabbed Fredrik's shoulders and led him to the door.

"Can you lock it?" Kristoff smirked only getting an absolute horrified expression from Alexander in return who happily did what Kristoff asked.

Evangeline wandered through the halls, singing to herself, her long platinum blonde haired braid hanging lazily over her left shoulder. She let her hands drag lightly against the walls of the hallways as she made her way to the library. Mind and personality like her father, she found him in the library reading a book. Smiling, she walked in and waved awkwardly to him.

"Hey beautiful!" Derek chimed and beckoned for her to come over.

Happily obliging, she half skipped half walked over to him and sat on his lap, snuggling into his chest and playing with the small medallion dangling from his neck. He held her close as he continued reading, just enjoying the presence of his daughter in the room with him.

"Daddy?" She asked, barely under a whisper.

"Hm?" He answered, putting his book down and giving her his full attention.

"….I miss mama." She said just as quietly. "What if she isn't safe?"

Derek almost felt guilty for the way his daughter was feeling. Evangeline and Elsa had a wonderful relationship, they'd do every girly thing together that you could imagine and she'd go to Elsa with any girl problems she had or if she just needed someone to snuggle with. However, Elsa wasn't here right now and it was his job to be mister mom while she was away.

Holding her close, he gently rubbed her back and kissed the side of her head. "Your mother is the strongest woman in the world, honey, and she'll be perfectly fine. I've seen her do the extraordinary before and no one will ever get in her way. If she has a problem, she can take care of herself okay? You aren't to worry am I clear?" He explained softly.

"But what if she gets lost at sea on her way there?" Evangeline asked as she looked up at him with her emerald eyes.

Derek just chuckled and shook his head. "Well that's seemingly impossible, Angel, because she sent me a letter already telling me everyone docked safely."

Evangeline took the letter from him and read the Norse text. Smiling, she folded it up and gave it back to Derek. Though she was happy to see her mother had gotten there safely, her smiling façade soon turned to fear.

"…..But what if she gets lost at sea on the way back." She said and snuggled even closer to Derek, tears brimming in her eyes.

"I want you to listen to me, okay? Nothing bad will happen to mama while she's gone. She is brave, and smart, and even a little sassy when she wants to be. Not to mention her powers can help in ways no one knew possible."

That elicited a little giggle from his daughter. "Do you think I'll be strong like her one day? Strong like the both of you?"

"I have absolutely no doubt in my mind, love." Derek whispered. "Now, how about we go get supper ready alright? I'm sure Auntie Anna's hungry."

"Auntie Anna's always hungry." Evangeline giggled and jumped off of Derek's lap.

"Oh so are you!" Derek playfully rolled his eyes and stood up with a grunt, grabbing his daughter's hand and walking out of the library.

"How did you and mama meet?" Evangeline asked as they walked hand in hand down the hallway. Derek chuckled and thought to himself, smiling at the memories of their first time meeting each other…..

After a long journey across seas, Elsa finally arrived in the Northern Isles. The captain helped her off the ship and she stood there admiring how beautiful this place was. She noticed how beautiful the flowers were and how great it smelled. The sun shined brightly on the red stoned pavement creating a warm feeling on Elsa's skin, making her shudder- in a good way. She admired how people of all ages, looks, and sizes were all getting along together and how the children from tall to small all played together, careless of the world around them. It was just like Arendelle, which made her happy. Her thoughts were soon interrupted when someone fell into her, causing them to fall to the ground.

"Oh my god I am so sorry miss!" A man's voice exclaimed.

Elsa looked up at him and her stomach twisted in a knot. His eyes. His eyes were absolutely stunning and mysterious. She stared blankly into his emerald eyes and felt a sparks fly around her. She couldn't be feeling anything, right? She was the Queen of Arendelle for heaven's sake. She quickly collected herself and she tried to get up but the man held out his hand for her instead. She hesitantly, but gratefully took it, giving him a half smile.

"Um thank you…..?"

"Derek. Derek Bentonia."

"Thank you Derek", she said warmly.

"I'd like to apologize."

"No no I'm fine, really."

He sighed in relief, "Thank goodness." They both locked eyes for a few seconds which seemed like years. Derek awkwardly coughed and looked down and Elsa tucked her hair behind her ear and averted her face the other way.

"Well….", they both said simultaneously.

"After you", Elsa laughed.

"No please, you first", Derek responded.

"No, really."

"I uh….are you here for Princess Genevieve's coronation?"

"Yes. I just arrived here from Arendelle. And you?"

"I live here so I sort of have no choice." Elsa giggled a little too hard, slightly putting her hand over her mouth.

"If you'll excuse me, I have to go now and get settled in. Thank you for helping me up, Derek."

"Yeah. No. I mean, you're welcome! I'll knock you down anytime…wait. No I'm sorry, I'll knock you down more so I can pick you up. Oh my god, never mind. You're welcome, anytime."

It took Elsa all the energy in her body not to laugh at Derek's awkwardness. She liked it a lot because it reminded her of her lack of social skills and how everyone gets nervous, not just her.

As she walked away, Derek noticed how gracefully she walked away, her blonde hair swaying with her every step. He watched her beautiful face look up towards the sun as it shined on her face. His daydreaming suddenly ceased when he realized he didn't know her name. He attemped to run after her but she was gone. Out of his sight.

Coming back to the present, Derek chuckled and looked down at Evangeline who was waiting patiently for an answer.

"We met in the Northern Isles." He smiled.

"….Isn't that where she is now?"

Derek nodded. "I bumped into this beautiful young woman who….

Dubach….Dubach...Dubach….Where have I heard that name before? Danielle thought to herself as she watched him closely, every movement he made. She didn't trust him…plain and simple. I mean….how on earth would he know them? She had never seen this man in her life and all of a sudden he just knows her first and last name? No. Something was definitely off.

"Well thank you so much for letting us see all of these beautiful rings you've made, but unfortunately we should be-"

"Christabel!" Johannes interrupted cheerfully and looked her way. "What do you say I show you some bracelets that I've made! You seem to be very interested in my work!"

Christabel smiled and gave a small nod. "Well…sure, I'd love to!" She said happily and followed him even further back into the shop. Danielle looked around hesitantly as she followed behind her cousin. She wanted to get the hell out of there…but she needed to make sure her cousin was safe.

"Christabel Elsa, we have to go." Danielle whispered only so Christabel could hear.

"He's going to show us the bracelets! It'll be fine just calm yourself." She whispered back, squeezing Danielle's hand for comfort.

Danielle's stomach twisted in a tight knot and she thought she was going to be sick the further they followed Johannes. The smell of the back store was atrocious and the sound of the dew dripping off of the ceiling and onto the stone pavement made both girls feel uneasy.

"Um…why would the bracelets be back here?" Christabel asked after a long moment of uncomfortable silence.

Johannes looked at her and then at Danielle and then turned to face the front again. "All of the….equipment is back here." He smiled.

Johannes then opened a room where all of the making for jewelry and other sorts of tools were held. Both Christabel and Danielle (mostly Danielle) sighed in relief. Both of them cracking small smiles, they looked around the back of the room. There were old bracelets, rings, necklaces, and earrings that never made it to the front of the shop to be sold.

"How come nothing back here made it to the front? It's all so beautiful." Christabel questioned as she looked around while Danielle kept her eye on Johannes. Something still wasn't right….

"Well unfortunately no one ever wanted any of these, nor did any sell, so I had to bring them back here to make room for the ones that were worth profit." Johannes explained.

Christabel gave him a sad nod.

"Would you ladies care to pick a piece of jewelry out for free?" Johannes asked with a smile.

"Why for free?" Danielle asked suspiciously. "This jewelry is worth a lot."

"What? Can't a family friend treat you two?" He asked and walked to the door. "When you've each finished picking something out, I'll ring you out at the front."

Both girls watched him leave and Danielle instantly gripped Christabel's forearm and looked her square in the eyes. "We are not coming back here." She concluded, her tone not giving Christabel a choice in the matter.

Christabel frowned. "Why? He seems really nice and he's letting us have free jewelry."

"Are you stupid?!" Danielle chided softly. "This man is bad news, I can feel it! I just….I feel like I have this weird connection to him…like I know him from somewhere and it's making me feel uneasy. I don't want to come back here, okay?"

Christabel sighed and nodded. "Alright fine we won't come back here." She said quietly.

"Nor will you be getting out." Johannes said and locked the door shut.
