Snape wandered into the Hog's Head and immediately found a small, dodgy group of people seated inside, the kind of people you'd expect to be in the Hog's Head at any given time.

But he paid them no further attention than that because suddenly something came whizzing by his head and narrowly missed colliding into him.

He looked up and saw Lily holding a frisbee in her gloved hands. Her expression was unreadable, a forced calm that allowed nothing else to show through it.

"Don't deny it - you were lurking around, looking for me, weren't you?" Lily asked in a deadly calm voice. Snape would have flinched if he didn't possess self-control. She sounded exactly like both of her grandmothers just before they would start a screaming match. It must have been a newly acquired habit, since he'd never seen it in this girl before.

Seeing no need to lie, Snape replied, "The headmaster wanted me to do some investigating. Don't think that his favoritism extends far enough that he would actually take it for granted that you weren't getting away with murder."

Looking bored, Lily then turned on her heel and headed out of the pub door. Snape, of course, followed her and saw that she was leaning against the side of the establishment. She was anxiously looking around, almost as though she was looking for someone.

She then turned to Snape and sighed, weariness present in her eyes. "Can I talk to you later? Seriously, just leave me alone this time."

Outraged at being spoken to like this by a student, Snape said, "Ten points from Gryffindor. That disappointing attitude of yours sets you apart from the rest of your meddlesome cousins -"

But then he noticed she wasn't listening. She had a panicked look in her eyes as she stared into the crowd before them and shook her head at someone. There were too many people for Snape to actually get an idea of who she was communicating with, but he was willing to bet it was Hugo or Roxanne or both.

Then, Lily angrily stalked off back to the castle.
