Just as Zoe thought that she was starting to get closer to Lucy, the girl changed. She started to become more nervous and self-conscious. Zoe was worried that it was something that other girls were saying and was keeping a lot eye on what Lucy was eating. However the girl's apatite hadn't changed. Zoe was starting to get really worried about Lucy. She had even refused to take off her cover ups during cheerleading. Previously she had never minded doing cheerleading in her sports bra.
Lucy woke up and walked down the stairs. She quickly had her breakfast before going back up the stairs to get ready for school.
She took off her pyjama top and looked at herself in the mirror. She sighed and lifted her hands up to her chest. She gently held her left breast in her hand and moved her hand around. It was still there, she wished that it would just disappear. She was so worried about what this was. What if she died?
Lucy put her bra on and then finished getting changed. She went down the stairs and stood waiting in the hall with her hands crossed high. Her chest was hurting so much and this was just making her panic even more.
"Are you okay?" Zoe asked Lucy as she saw her standing looking nervous. Lucy nodded before they went to the car. Zoe knew that her daughter was lying and was really starting to worry about why Lucy was being like that. They got into the car and Lucy climbed into the front as she was first ready.
"Are you sure you are okay?" Zoe asked and Lucy nodded.
"Yeah, I have a little bit of a sore stomach but I'll be fine" Lucy said which wasn't a lie as she did have cramp.
"Is it your time of the month" Zoe whispered just before Eryn walked into the car and Lucy nodded.
"Okay, well if you want anything just call" Zoe said and Lucy nodded. They arrived at the school and Lucy jumped out the car.
The day at school went really quickly and Lucy just stayed quiet the whole day. She couldn't concentrate all day, she was just far too worried about what was going on with her body. It worried her, she could die. She knew they always said the quicker they knew the more chance they got but she couldn't. She was far too scared. She didn't want to admit that something was wrong she hoped that if they just ignored it then it would disappear. Once the day was finished Lucy just decided to walk home, usually she waited until her sister came out but she just didn't want to. She texted Eryn telling her that she was just going straight to the hospital and that she would just met her there.
Once Lucy arrived at the hospital she went into the staff room and grabbed a blanket. She put it around her and put the TV on. She wasn't properly watching it as she was worrying too much. Not long after Eryn walked in.
"Eh, thanks for abandoning me" Eryn said.
"Sorry, I texted you" Lucy said and Eryn nodded.
"I know that but it's not like you. I like walking home with you. It's one of the only times in a day that I get to speak to you" Eryn said and Lucy smiled.
"Can I get a cuddle" Eryn asked and Lucy nodded. She leant forward and gave her sister a hug.
"Do you want to tell me what's up" Eryn asked and Lucy shrugged.
"I don't really want to, I can't tell you" Lucy said.
"Why not, I promise it's easier once you tell someone" Eryn said.
"Come into the bathroom" Lucy said and Eryn nodded. She was getting a little worried now.
They walked into disabled toilet and Eryn locked the door.
"What's going on" Eryn asked looking at her sister.
"I have a lump" Lucy said before bursting into tears.
"Where about?" Eryn asked. Lucy pointed to her chest and Eryn nodded.
"Can I have a look" Eryn asked and Lucy looked unsure.
"Please, it will help" Eryn said and Lucy nodded. She opened her shirt and took it off before gently taking her bra off.
"I know this is awkward but can I please feel it" Eryn asked and Lucy nodded. Eryn checked it and she found the lump.
"I think you should tell mum" Eryn said not really knowing what was going on. Lucy nodded.
"Look, you stay here and I'll go find her" Eryn said and Lucy nodded.
She placed her shirt back on but just didn't fasten it up. Eryn disappeared to go and find Zoe.
Once she found her then went back to the toilet and knocked on the door. Lucy opened the door and Zoe walked in.
"What's going on baby?" Zoe asked.
"I have a lump" Lucy said and Zoe looked worried.
"Can I see" She asked and Lucy nodded. She opened her shirt up and let Zoe check it out.
"Now, I really don't think it is anything. I think it is just because your breasts are still growing and because you are on your period that's another reason" Zoe explained and Lucy nodded.
"So it's not cancer" Lucy said.
"Oh baby, have you been worrying?" Zoe asked "Of course it's not"
"I was scared" Lucy said and Zoe pulled Lucy into her arms.
"Mum, let me fix my top" Lucy said.
"No, it's no problem. Don't worry I'm your mum, it's fine for me to see you like this" Zoe said and Lucy laughed slightly.
They stayed like that for a while and then Lucy went into the staff room to find Eryn.
"Mum, doesn't think it is anything but she said she will arrange an appointment with the doctor just to be on the safe side" Lucy said and Eryn nodded.
"That's good" Eryn said pulling Lucy into his arms.
"I love you so much" Eryn said and Lucy smiled.
"I love you too" Lucy said. They stayed like that the rest of Zoe's shift and then went home once it finished.
They arrived home and all got changed into their pyjamas.
"Come on girls. I think I need a big group hug" Zoe said and the girls nodded. They went into the living room and cuddled up on the sofa.
"I love both of you so much" Zoe said.
"Love you too" They both said back in unison.
They spend the rest of the night cuddled up on the sofa watching the TV until they decided that they wanted to go to bed as they were all tired.
Hope this is okay :) what should I do next. Love to hear more ideas :) thanks in advanced.
