'If you shall not return with me, then I will forsake this beloved world of yours, as you have forsaken me!' Izanami-no-Mikoto said, stretching her palms to the ground, as it started to rain around them, steady at first, then suddenly a downpour.
Somewhere deep beneath them, something begain to resonate, and suddenly everything began to shake, however Izanagi-no-Mikoto gestured greatly at her, and the pressure once more began to build, however the resonating stopped. 'I can't allow you to do that, Izanami.' He said greatly, obviously under a lot of stress to prevent whatever she was doing.
'Then you shall have to die.' She shot back, raising one hand back at him.
'I cannot, for I have passed on already.' Izanagi-no-Mikoto responded through gritted teeth.
'What?' She said, shocked, however she did not let up. 'When?'
'Not long after I sealed you, however I continue to keep that promise that we made.'
'I will uphold that promise until the end of time, unless you return with me.' She said in a deadly tone.
'As will I, until you cease this madness.' He responded, raising his other hand towards the sky, however the resonating began once more, like a very large gong being hammered upon, lowering in pitch steadily, and it made the air shake around them, growing steadily louder.
Sesshomaru looked around suddenly, his instincts screaming of danger, and he drove the tip of the Tokijin into the ground next to him, then drew the Tenseiga, clearly still not used to having a free hand, and he span, as the smaller sword pulsated, shining a blue light, and the air suddenly came alive around them, pallbearers flying up and around Izanagi-no-Mikoto, before surrounding themselves around Izanami-no-Mikoto.
At the same time, the resonating grew louder, and lower, then, to Kagome, it faded out, however the ground still shook, and InuYasha's ears were plastered to his head, he released her to cover them, even Sesshomaru who was diagonally behind them was clearly agitated by the noise, however he was distracted as he looked around.
Sesshomaru was seeing something quite different, as he watched a wave of pallbearers barrel towards them, towards the cliff, and towards the two gods, Sesshomaru made a decision.
He rammed his shoulder into the back of InuYasha, who had already half-turned, and seized the scruff of Kagome's clothes, pulling the girl and following as InuYasha overbalanced and fell from the cliff face, where he hovered ten feet below the edge, watching as the barrage took flight above them, then looked down, to see InuYasha had caught his boot, and hung there, looking thoroughly unimpressed.
'What the hell was that for?' InuYasha nearly spat loudly over the noise only the two dog demons could hear.
'Your senses are dull, InuYasha.' Sesshomaru replied on an equal volume, almost rather enjoying seeing the hanyou dangle from his foot, a thunderous expresson on his face as the cliff face behind them wobbled and cracked dangerously.
Kagome was surprised suddenly by being dropped quite suddenly and without warning, but she had no time to utter a complaint as she was snagged neatly by InuYasha below her, and Sesshomaru swung the Tenseiga above them, clearly dispatching something invisible, then swinging straight down and slicing neatly at something that InuYasha could have sworn was the hanyou's nose.
'What the hell are you doing?' InuYasha shouted as he made to swing himself onto the cliff face behind them.
'Stop.' Sesshomaru said shortly, in an almost exclaimitory tone, twitching the foot his brother swung from so to dispel their momentum, his sword at the ready. 'Pallbearers surround us.'
'Remember what Hideaki said?' Kagome said, loudly though she had no need, as InuYasha swore, and she treaded carefully around the subject. 'We'll just, hang around, since we can't see them.'
'Hn.' Sesshomaru said in a tone that was clearly meant to be under his breath, as another to his side came a little too close for comfort.
Before them, however, Sesshomaru could plainly see that the goddess Izanami-no-Mikoto was nearly out of sight in a soundless cyclone of the little creatures, and Izanagi-no-Mikoto was clearly expending a lot of energy to control this cyclone.
'I, need,' Izanagi-no-Mikoto said, bracing his stance a little, as his eyes searched around, before they widened slightly on a speck on the horizon.
With obvious effort, he shifted the weight of his tasks onto one hand, and passed the other over the speck in the distance, as if snatching at something, then revealed his prize between two fingers, something so comparitively small that it was a speck itself.
'Is that...?' InuYasha said in an almost normal tone, peering up at it, frowning.
'What?' Kagome asked him, also trying to see the tiny object that hovered between the gods thumb and third finger.
'A hand?'
'Are you blind, InuYasha?' Sesshomaru said, twisting slightly so to disbatch another barer.
'No one asked you.' InuYasha shot distractedly. 'Hold on, isn't that the Kanzaa?' He said, his brows deepening.
The hand balled its fingers once, then opened, and shook, then finally released what appeared to be a tiny, jet black orb embedded in the palm, before the hand vanished, leaving the swirling orb behind.
The orb rapidly grew in size to a relative golfball in the massive hand of Izanagi-no-Mikoto, which immediately drew in incredible wind around them, and the god gently tossed it into the cyclone, and to the writhing slightly Izanami-no-Mikoto, and she shrieked a wail that vibrated the air.
In a sudden premonition, InuYasha looked at Kagome. 'Cover your ears!'
She mashed her hands against her ears, as a flash of white light burst outwards, and the scream of the celestial being shook the stars.
If her scream shook the stars, than the explosion that followed made them shatter and fall.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!
