"Absolutely not. Not chance is Hell." Don threw the photograph and contact information for the fifth cardholder Howard Scuderi onto the table looking up at the team.
"Look, we could break into the guys house, a week minimum, or his office a week minimum – or, we could follow the guy twelve hours out of town to Nevada and have card five by midnight." Alex was standing up, staring into Don's eyes darkly. "How does that sound?"
"Well," Don cleared his throat, "how does this sound: if you aren't back by midnight, you're going to jail!" He snapped. "Yeah, don't I know it." Alex said coldly.
Don watched him, "lets talk outside." He pointed at Alex then to the door, making his way toward the exit, Alex glanced back at them, before following behind Don.
"So, what is the plan?" Fernando asked staring down at everyone from the loft, Lincoln looking up at him, "We're going to Vegas." He said sharply.
"WOOOHOO! VEGAS! YEAH!" Roland screamed throwing his hands up in the air with excitement. "I call shot-gun!" Roland was pulsing with excitement.
"Nuh uh." Lincoln caught his attention giving him a deathly stare. "I called it!" Roland said making his way down the loft steps with Fernando and Brad.
"And I said, nuh uh!" Lincoln jabbed him hard in the chest with his index finger the force almost enough to knock Roland onto his ass but he was holding onto a railing.
"You were an agent longer then me, what's my play here?" Don was freaking out, having told Alex that Wyatt tracked him down, that he had no idea what to do.
"You turn your back on me, leaving me to go back to jail and now you wanna know your play?" Alex scoffed, feeling the breeze through his thinning hair.
"What would you have done if the tables were turned, huh?" Don watched the shorter man with dead-set eyes.
Closing his eyes for a minute, Alex inhaled; "I've tracked down rapists, killers – even former military. But a structural engineer from Illinois got to me. You wanna know how?" He relived the last few months like a tape rewinding in his head.
"Yeah." Don said with an obvious tone. "He stopped running." Alex said darkly. "He got aggressive and he took the game to me. That's your play." He explained, "that's your only play." He nodded before heading back inside.
Brad came running down the stairs from the loft, seeing everyone sitting together in the small makeshift living of red chairs and a couch. "I just gotta call, someone has whereabouts on T-Bag."
"What's the catch?" Olivia asked knowing it couldn't be that simple. "She want's two grand and I'm meeting her at noon." He had his hands in his pockets.
"The next are is more important though, so Vegas first – then T-Bag." Roland wasn't missing his chance to be back in Las Vegas again.
"Shut up!" Fernando snapped at Roland, the stress of everything was finally getting to him.
"I'll stay." Alex was leaning against a cage of supplies, looking at Michael, nodding.
"All right." Michael looked from him to the others. "Linc." He stood up, the throbbing in his head getting worse.
"Yeah?" Lincoln was standing behind Olivia who was sat in a chair, her legs crossed over one another. "Take, Liv, Sucre, Sara..." He trailed off, he needed to talk to Nikole and he didn't want Sara around. "And Roland..." He said dryly. "To Vegas, the rest of us will handle T-Bag." He watched his brother go in and out of focus briefly.
"Don't get married in Vegas," Michael added seriously looking between his brother and Olivia. "In some sleazy chapel married by Elvis in a powdered blue suit." Brad tagged on laughing.
"But if you do, at least pay the extra 15 dollars for the ceremonial DVD." Nikole had joined them. "Aren't you all hilarious." Lincoln said dryly.
"You heard the man, lets go!" Roland said excitedly, grabbing his backpack heading toward the gassed up SUV.
"If he doesn't stay quiet, I might push him out onto the highway." Olivia said having a hormonal moment of agitation.
"I might just let you." Lincoln admitted, holding the passenger door open for her as she slide into the seat, holding a travel mug of lemon water.
Waiting for the door to close, Olivia glanced to see Lincoln watching her, "what?" She wondered and he shook his head quickly. "Nothing, I was just ... Admiring how beautiful you are." He still struggled with expressing his emotions that weren't anger.
A smile crept across Olivia's lips, it was involuntary she couldn't help it. As Lincoln finally closed the door, making his way around to the driver side, they set off East toward Nevada.
"We have a couple hours until noon, what do we do until then?" Brad looked at Alex and Michael. "Just, relax." Michael offered, Alex looking distracted by deep thoughts as Nikole stood behind him, one hand on his shoulder, the other Alex held in his own hand against his lips.
"Nik?" Michael pulled her from her own distracted reality. "Hmm?" She asked while zoning back in. "I need to talk to you." He picked his words cautiously. "Doctor Wilson." He said lowly.
Nikole nodded, that was something she had not been called in a long time, Michael caught a flash of something in her eyes as she slipped her hand from Alex's after squeezing it consolingly.
She headed toward the back of the warehouse, Michael shortly behind her.
"Oh the heat." Olivia muttered, feeling the sun shining down hard of them as they walked toward Planet Hollywood, her bag over her shoulder. "and if you don't shut up!" She snapped stopping outside the door, Fernando almost tripping over her while she glared at Roland.
"I'm just saying, Vegas baby..." Roland averted his eyes from the scary look in Olivia's eyes. "I'm just saying, shut the fuck up." Olivia snapped.
"I think it would be in your best interest if you didn't piss of the pregnant lady anymore, Roland." Sara said as they walked into the resort, the cool AC hitting them and it felt wonderful. "Look at all those slots." Roland whispered under his breath. "We're here to copy the card and that's it." Lincoln warned him.
Over the speakers he could hear the low music of Born in the USA, "I love this guy." Lincoln admitted, "when this is over I'm taking you to a Springsteen concert." He looked down at Olivia who laughed. "What, me, you, Elle, LJ and the baby?" She asked.
"No, we get LJ to babysit," Lincoln laughed as Sara checked them in, "he plays good shows." He shrugged. "Oh and you're been to many have you?" Olivia wondered.
"Just one, '85 at the Soldier Field in Chicago. I was fifteen a couple buddies and I rushed security to get inside." Lincoln recalled, which made Olivia recall, she remembered. "Yeah, Michael was in the hospital..." She said lowly.
"I... Yeah." Lincoln forgot how good her memory was sometimes, "Linc." Olivia said thinking about the nose bleed Michael had in Oren's office.
"I checked us in." Sara said coming back with room keys, making Olivia stop talking. "Let's set up and get changed, Scuderi likes blackjack and we need to look the part." Lincoln wanted this done.
"How long have you been getting nose bleeds?" Nikole watched Michael sitting on the exam table. "The night we got here." His voice was a whisper, "and the pain?" Nikole touched his forehead, it feeling hotter than average.
"I started feeling it in Panama ... I thought it was just dehydration." He admitted, "it comes and goes... But when it comes back, it comes back worse every time. There's always a constant dull ache though." He had laced his fingers together.
"What other symptoms are you experiencing? Double-Vision? Loss of short-term memory? Weakness?" She stood in front of him.
Nodding, Michael spoke; "All that..."
"Michael, I'm not a Neurologist, but from everything you've told me and given the medical history with you mother... You need an MRI, because it's pointing in the direction of a hypothalamic hamartoma."
"I was worried that was what you were going to say." Michael admitted, shaking his head. "I can't get an MRI, we need to finish this Scylla business and after this is over, I can... I can..." He paused.
"You forgot what you were saying." Nikole watched a panic in his eyes. "Nikki, please don't tell anyone about this, please." Michael found her hands and squeezed them pleadingly.
"I'm going to fill a prescription for Dilantin – it's an anti seizure medication, it might help with the double-vision, and subside some of the pain." Nikole thought about it.
"Okay." Michael nodded. "And you promise you wont tell anyone?" He watched the woman whose blonde hair was glowing under the light above them.
"Agains't my better judgement, no. I'm treating you – you are my patient, confidentiality - I'm assuming that's why you called me Doctor Wilson and not Nikole." She figured him out.
"Holy ... Fuck." Was all Lincoln could manage as Olivia came from the washroom of their room, the others waiting across the hallway in a business centre.
She stood in a silver sparkly bikini, which pushed up her breasts enough they gave the appearance they could pop out any second, her hair up in a messy bun and stray pieces rested against her face.
"Oh stop." Olivia muttered seeing him drooling, and he stood up, his hands finding her bare sides, pulling her close to him. "Make me?" He offered, grinning leaning down his lips finding hers quickly.
Olivia wrapped her arms around his neck, returning his kiss – one thing she hadn't lost during her pregnancy thus far was her sex-drive much to Lincoln's delight.
She gasped, feeling her breath getting stuck in her throat as Lincoln's fingers moved into the bikini bottoms and rubbing against her clit, he moved them around, walking her backwards toward the large bed.
Laying her back, Lincoln was on his knees over her body, starting to undone his button down shirt, Olivia started pushing if off of him until it met with the floor and he lent down, his lips greedily kissing down her neck and exposed breasts.
As Lincoln kissed down her stomach, he fingers pulling off the bikini bottoms letting them meet the floor by his shirt, he fingers rubbing her clit and tormenting her, watching her breathing changing, how she squirmed under him.
He stopped, undoing his jeans and he pushed down off with his boxers, Olivia closed her eyes feeling him rubbing her clit with his cock, and arched her back, getting out a moan as Lincoln moved himself into her.
Their bodies moving together, Lincoln used his finger tips to rub her clit, feeling her tightening around him, he started rubbing her clit quicker with more pressure, keeping his movements deep and hard.
The way her fingernails were starting to dig into the sides of his body, her head pressing back into the pillow, Lincoln smirked. "Cum baby." He growled at her.
Feeling Olivia get lost in her orgasm, Lincoln groaned letting himself go inside of her, his breathing hard.
"What took you guys so ... Aye... Mami..." Fernando trailed off, his eyes watching as Olivia walked into the room behind Lincoln her hair still a little unkempt.
"Nando..." Olivia whispered, fixing the chocolate wrap she was now wearing to hide her baby bump and a godly gold necklace as an accessory.
"Eyes front." Lincoln snapped at Roland seeing him ogling Olivia. "Sorry bro, she's smoking." Roland muttered before grabbing the back of his head when Lincoln cracked him upside it.
"I could've been in his room by now." Sara said feeling a tinge of jealousy from the woman who looked so beautiful and flawless in front of her.
"With all due respect Doc, but those ... Melons." Fernando was gesturing to his own chest, "those would bring any man down..." He added and Sara rolled her eyes.
Olivia walked over to the poolside bar, seeing Scuderi sitting alone popping a peanut into his mouth, she could feel Lincoln's eyes on her from across the pool where he stood, arms crossed.
"Tonic and lemon please." Olivia said to the bartender as she stopped right beside Scuderi, "thanks." She put her hands on the glass, as he put it down.
"I'm in the middle of a nightmare... I was wondering if you could help me..." Olivia glanced to him as he watched her intently. "It's my friends hen party." She paused.
"Well, that's hardly the salt mines." Howard said, staring at her breasts before looking to her face behind his sunglasses. "Oh wait for it." Olivia was playing with the small red stir stick.
"There's a scavenger hunt and my team has tasked me with getting a picture in a Whale-suite" She explained. "I'm a whale?" Howard tried cracking a smile none-the-less.
"You... Have a very scary-body guard and a very ... Expensive watch." Olivia looked from the black man standing behind him to Scuderi. "And you wanna take a picture in my room?" He finished his drink. "I realise it's a really inappropriate request." She stepped carefully closer to him.
"I'm sorry, I just can't help you." He shook his head. "Even if I said... Please?" Olivia gave him big pleading eyes. "Best of luck, I really wish, I could help you." He stood up.
"Drinks on the gentlemen." The body guard put down a five nodding at Olivia, before he walked off to join his boss.
Olivia sighed, rubbing her forehead. "Hey, don't take it to hard... You aren't his type." The bartender looked over a defeated Olivia. "Before you showed up, he asked me if I liked to party." He explained.
"Huh." Olivia said, nodding. She took one sip of the drink before heading back to Lincoln.
Alex came running back into the warehouse, he hadn't stopped running since T-Bag set them up, "Nikole?!" He called for her, hoping she hadn't gone out.
"Nikole!" He called again as he stopped to catch his breath. "What, what?" Nikole came running into the main area quickly, for once not wearing heels but flats, her bag was over her shoulder.
"Help?" Alex asked holding his arms up that were zip-tied together, "what happened?" Nikole asked quickly, rushing over to him, digging in her bag she pulled out a small switch blade.
"T-Bag set us up, when he was loading us into a van, I jumped the wall and I took off." Alex explained quickly and watched Nikole cut the zip tie keeping his restrained off and they fell to the ground, "you always carry that?" He wondered
Nikole kind of shrugged, closing it and slipper it into her pocket this time. "Do you have any idea where he took them?" She was worried. "I found a crane... I have a pretty good idea of where to find them." He nodded.
"Well, lets go..." Nikole said making a gesture to move. "You stay here, I got this." Alex put his hand up. "No, I'm coming." Nikole watched him before trying to get around him, Alex stopping her again, looking into her eyes, his hand rested on the nape of her neck,
"I would really like if you stayed here." He whispered. "Please." He touched her cheek carefully. "Alex." Nikole said, "I can look after myself. I can help you know." Nikole pressed.
"I know that... I know that." He moved his hand cupping the side of her face. "I would prefer you here and safe... Better yet, I would prefer you to just leave... And be free." He gave her the lightest kiss he could on her lips, trying to keep himself distant.
"Alex." Nikole said feeling his hands leaving her body. "ALEX!" She yelled after him as he stepped back and took of running again.
Lincoln stared out the large windows down onto Vegas as they waited for Fernando to return, looking over as Olivia walked up to him, Sara and Roland on the other end of the room.
"What's wrong?" He asked seeing the troubled look on her face. "What is it?" He put his hand on her arm, "It's Michael..." Olivia said lowly.
"What about him?" Lincoln had been holding onto a nervous knot in his stomach, "he's getting nose bleeds." Olivia let out and Lincoln stepped back, leaning against the window.
"Since when?" He watched her, she was twisting her engagement ring around her finger, "since we got here, I think... In Oren's office I told him I seen it... And he told me it was the climate... But Linc, we both know this is what happened to your mom."
"He asked me to promise I wouldn't say anything, but I can't keep this from you... He's being stubborn." Olivia sighed. "He's being Michael." Lincoln shook his head.
"Here." Fernando came through the door, handing the device back to Roland, and grabbing a beer.
"I'm gonna hit the head, I'll be out in a minute." Roland said coyly as they left the resort and casino, "hurry up." Lincoln warned him.
"We have a problem." Michael said coming back into the warehouse with Brad, Alex and Don, seeing Nikole sitting at the table. "What kind?" She asked, seeing Alex looking a bit disappointed she wasn't gone.
"Gretchen." He said darkly and Nikole stood up. "No." She said seriously. "She has pages that we need... And I'd like... I'd like if you came to the meeting." Michael watched Nikole.
"Don't involve her in this Michael." Alex whispered, "when?" Nikole spoke up, "about 35 minutes," Michael nodded, "she knows you, she knows you get things done and you're efficient... Plus." Michael looked at her ignoring Alex glaring at him, "if she has plans to fuck us over she might tell you first."
"Okay." Nikole picked up her bag. "Lets go." She didn't think twice about it and Michael nodded. "Thanks." He put his hand lightly on her mid-back guiding her toward the car.
"Where's the device!" Lincoln snapped at Roland pushing him against a cement wall looking pissed off. "I... It's okay, I can make another one." He held his hands up.
"You said that would take months!" Olivia was beside Lincoln, "I... I..." Roland stammered. "I have a good mind to leave you in the damn desert!" Olivia hissed.
"Lets take him back to LA and let Self sort him out." Sara tried being the voice of reason. Lincoln shoved Roland harder into the wall as he let him go and started walking away, putting a bag over his shoulder.
"Thank you." Roland looked over Sara. "I know they would've done it." He thought about dying in the desert. "I didn't do it to help you, I did it because I want this finished." Sara looked annoyed leaving him behind as she walked beside Fernando.
Getting out of the SUV, Olivia watched Brad and Michael coming down the ramp, Brad grabbing Roland and putting him upside the vehicle, his arm against his throat.
"We ought to blanket party your ass." He snapped at the scared looking man. "Where's the device?" Michael stood behind Brad.
"Tell him!" Lincoln stood behind Michael, glaring. "The pit boss walked off with it." Roland swallowed after Brad let him go.
"Okay..." Michael exhaled. "We're going to call this your early retirement, you can either go upstairs and sit on your cot and ride the rest of this thing out, or ..." Michael looked dangerously to him.
"Or I'm going to call Agent Self and you can ride out the rest of your prison sentence." He snapped. Roland looked around, he was the odd man out, he grabbed his backpack quickly and he scurried upstairs.
Her mind kept thinking about the fact that Gretchen was officially a part of the team, Olivia recalling every run in with her in Panama, in her own mind as the team discussed getting the last card from the General.
"You wanna talk?" Nikole was by Olivia, seeing her biting her nail as she ran around inside her own mind and Olivia looked over to her, shaking her head. "No, I'm good." She promised.
"This thing, with Gretchen it doesn't mean anything – we're still close." Lincoln had a hand in his jean pocket, seeing Alex by himself sitting on a desk.
"Closer to Scylla, farther from Wyatt." Alex looked bleak. "You dunno that, just stay focused alright?" He tried pep-talking the man. Alex stood up quickly, "this is my focus, alright?" He held up the picture of Cameron.
Lincoln recalling how he told Alex to go screw himself on the beach after the break in, leaving the picture to become distorted from the salt water, instead of inside the plastic bag with his cell phone and he felt guilt, but in that moment he hated that man.
"I'm doing my job, okay? Alright... Everyday the trail to the man who killed my son gets a little colder, I'm sorry if that doesn't sit well with me." Alex hated the pain he felt.
How every morning he woke up and for the first five seconds he didn't feel the pain, until he opened his eyes and everything came spilling back to him.
"If I asked you, not to go through with this plan, would you listen to me?" Olivia asked, watching Lincoln who was watching her carefully after they figured out a hit and run plan to get the General's card.
"If you asked me not too... Yeah." He admitted, "but I know you wont ask me not to." He moved to put his arm around her shoulders, pulling her against his warm chest.
"I know." Olivia sighed, "I'm scared Linc." She said in a lower voice, her hand resting on his chest with her head. "I'm scared this will go wrong and I don't wanna lose you." She could feel him rubbing her arm slowly.
"Everything is going to go fine and you wont lose me." Lincoln tried to sound as assuring as possible. "Yeah?" Olivia didn't believe it. "If it was going to be so fine why didn't you include me in this plan? I have to stay here and wait with Nikole."
"You're pregnant..." Lincoln trailed off, "that hasn't stopped me being useful before." Olivia sat up, "you didn't include me because you know its more dangerous then the other plans we've done... Don't treat me like I'm stupid Lincoln." She broke their gaze looking off to the water where a cargo ship was making its way into port.
"Hey, the last thing I've ever done was treat you like you were stupid, since I've known you." He put his hand on her face making her look back at him. "So don't act like I have."
"I'm worried about you!" Olivia exclaimed at him. "I love you." She watched him shake his head. "Liv, I'm going to be fine. Everyone is going to be fine and we'll be back in no time, then its a break in and we're free." He kissed her forehead.
"Okay?" He asked and she stayed quiet. "Linc, we gotta move." Fernando walked up to join them, the plan was ready, things were packed and the operation was a green light.
"Okay?" Lincoln asked her again as he stood up. Shaking her own head, Olivia knew this was insane. "Be safe." She kissed him quickly, before he took off with Fernando.
"Stay with us Fernando, you're gonna be fine!" Sara exclaimed as they came running back into the warehouse a little more then an hour later, Lincoln was keeping Fernando upright as they moved quickly, Sara carrying the jump bag from the ambulance.
"What happened?" Olivia pushed the tables off the table as Fernando moaned in agony. "Oh Nando." She covered her mouth seeing his shirt covered in blood.
"We were ambushed!" Brad was white, the sight of blood made his stomach queasy. "You're going to be okay Fernando." Sara was pulling gloves on, as Lincoln laid him on the table, Fernando's blood all over him.
"I... I..." Sara pulled up his shirt, seeing the gunshot wound, she froze. She kept picturing Michael in her head, unable to help him and she froze up.
"Nikole!" Lincoln yelled, his voice echoing the large space seeing the blonde appearing, she looked at the blood smear on Lincoln and she ran up to join them. "Sara, move." Nikole watched the woman unmoving.
"Sara..." Michael pulled her aside, Fernando breathing heavily, moaning. "I'm gonna die." He whispered. "You will not die on my clock Fernando." Nikole assured him.
"Nando." Olivia stood on the other side of the table, she took his hand and Fernando grabbed onto it, squeezing it hard. "Oh Mami." He hissed in pain.
"I need some gauze." Nikole pulled blue gloves on fast, grabbing the gauze from Brad's hand. She pressed it into Fernando's side. Finding a pair of tongs.
"I'm gonna die." Fernando was positive of it, "Papi." Olivia caught his attention from staring at Nikole seeing his blood on her gloves and shirt sleeves.
"Huh?" He looked worried at her. "You're gonna be fine, think about all the playdates Baby Burrows and Lila will have together." She squeezed his hand. "Right?" She gave him a smile.
"Breathe Fernando." Nikole was fingers deep in the wound, feeling for a bullet, "almost." She said, as she dug. "There we go..." Nikole was talking more to herself. "Come here baby." She grabbed onto the bullet with the tongs and pulled it from his body. "There is it." She held it up, before putting it down.
Grabbing more gauze and some solution she shook, "imagine if its a boy, we can set them up." Olivia laughed, sitting with him. "Only if he takes your personality." Fernando warned quick.
"What's that suppose to mean?" Lincoln was standing with his arms crossed, sweat all across his face. "It means I know you Linc!" Fernando wanted to laugh but arched his back up, hissing seeing the solution Nikole had stinging.
"Thank you Mami." Fernando was looking into Olivia's eyes. "You're welcome." She smiled. "And thank you, Doc." He turned his head as Nikole stitched him. "If it wasn't for you I'd have died on the table." He whispered.
"Just wait till you see my bill." Nikole said softly and Fernando cracked a smile.
Olivia kept focus on Fernando, she couldn't help but feel a lot of anger toward Lincoln, "guys, Roland's GPS just went offline." Michael was holding his phone.
Lincoln, Alex and Brad rushed upstairs with Michael. "He's gone, he took the Corolla." Brad yelled from the stairs fire escape. "Son of a bitch," Lincoln came running down the stairs with the others behind him.
"We'll be back." He said quickly. "You got this covered?" Michael looked between Olivia and Nikole who nodded. "What?" Lincoln noticed the way Olivia had her eyes set on him. Alex and Brad rushing toward the outside.
"A few inches to the left and this could've been you." Her voice was barely audible. "Linc, come on." Michael said holding his phone in his hand, knowing Roland took his computer.
"When I get back..." Lincoln said nodding at her and Olivia rolled her eyes waving him away.
"Tell me where the brothers are." Wyatt was knelt down beside a whimpering Roland who had both his kneecaps shot. "There in a warehouse." He squealed.
"Pier 31, San Pedro, there all there..." He had tears streaming down his cheeks. "Thank you." Wyatt stood up, he raised his gun to Roland who started screaming.
Shooting him in the chest, Roland screamed out in pain, ignoring him Wyatt took out his phone as he went to dial, he fell toward, feeling something impact him on the back.
Alex grabbed him up, "Alex, no!" Lincoln grabbed the tire iron from Alex's hand, trying to pull the man back who looked savage, he pushed Lincoln off of him, grabbing Wyatt he started punching him in the face as hard as he could.
"Enough, you'll get your shot Alex." Lincoln stopped him again, "you'll get your shot, I promise!" He was holding onto the back of the mans dress shirt who kept fighting him.
"Alex, listen to him!" Brad pipped up, avoiding Roland bleeding out on the ground. "Michael, lets go – we sold us out!" Lincoln held onto Alex.
"I know." Michael whispered, kneeling beside Roland, taking the laptop from his backpack. "We gotta move!" Lincoln pushed Alex away, grabbing Wyatt off the ground.
Michael held onto Roland's hand as he died, the good person inside of him feeling guilt rising in his body.
