Three Sheets to the Wind
"Great night tonight," Uther slurred, staggering against Merlin and causing him to stumble under the unexpected weight.
"Yeah, great," he muttered quietly. "For those that actually get to eat and drink." It seemed he was the only sober one left; the main reason this task had fallen to him.
To his surprise the King laughed loudly. "I like you, Merlin. You're very amusing."
"Ah, pardon?"
"Amusing and loyal and-" Uther hiccuped loudly. "A good companion for my son."
"Right..." Merlin shook his head as he manoeuvred the king towards his bed. "Definitely time for you to get some sleep, Sire.
