A screamed echoed into the mountains as Murasaki turned around to see the smoke rising from the village. He knew that whatever Kyran did...bought time for the both of them. Ariana looked as well. That scream she knew well...it was her brother.
"We have to go back Murasaki." Ari said as he grabbed her hand stopping her.
"No we aren't. Your father is there. If you are there now, you will be killed. I will not allow this!" Murasaki yelled as Ariana shrugged him off.
"What gives you that right? To tell me what not to do? You tell me!" She yelled back at him.
"Your brother gave me orders, he told me to keep you safe no matter what I had to do. And if he is dead, then I am not going to let you follow in his footsteps!" He yelled as she just stared at the fire and smoke that eminated from the closest thing she had to a home.
"So...what's our next step?" Ariana asked holding back tears.
"Don't...please don't act like that Ari." Murasaki put his hand on her shoulder as she turned around crying. She embraced Murasaki as she began crying in his shoulder.
"What if he really is dead Mura? Then what happens?" She said crying. Mura embraced her while still looking at the destroyed village.
"Then God help us all." Mura simply responded as he watched the fires of hell. Consume onward.
2 hours later...
The sound of seagulls were prominent and loud as my eyes fluttered open slowly and painfully as I saw the white sand of...a beach. Where was I? I tried moving as I slid down painfully off of...Kyran. His limp and bloody body was the one I was top of. Raising my hand, I placed it onto his chest. Please...please don't be dead. For a moment, there was nothing then...a faint beat of a nearly broken heart. I let go looking up to the sky as I heard a faint voice speaking a one word song. Daddy...daddy...daddy. The world went dark as I blacked out once more.
"Daddy!" The young girl pointed to the two bloody bodies odn the beach. Alex looked over seeing two people. One with long black hair and the other with...white. He knew her before but wasn't sure.
"Get back Sara." Alex said as he approached past the young girl to the two people. Lifting over the man seeing him and the young girl were both severely injured. I flipped over the girl he immediately backed up seeing it was the one person he hated more than anyone else. Weiss Schnee. He kept his impluse under control as he lifted the man and Weiss over his shoulders and began carrying them back to his home. It didn't matter who they were, much less why they were here. The bigger question he wanted to know is why Weiss Schnee, the Heiress of the Schnee Dust Corporation, washed up on the beach bloodied and injured with a total stranger.
"Daddy! Look!" Sara came running up behind Knives holding a long Katana in a Sheath which she held with two hands due the immense weight.
"Where did you find that Sara?" I asked softly as not to cause alarm.
"It was next to that man!" She said cheerfully as she carried it along with her. I guess another weapon in the home couldn't hurt. I proceeded up the hill with both of them on my shoulders. Weiss was not heavy as I had expected but the man was given his size. Why the hell was that? I approached my old home I had used on trips before, but not was a permanent residence due to the President and his reckless tactics.
"Sara, sweetie, get the door for daddy." I asked and she smiled before getting the old door opened enough for me to carry in our two new guests into my old house. Heading down the hallway, I went into the empty room I kept for excess items. Given with the shortages though, there hasn't been much of that.
"Sara, can you set up the two cots Daddy keeps in his closet?" I asked her as once again she responded happily. Seeing an innocent girl helped me forget the horrible past of mine. All of those faces that made me feel so much pain. I placed down Weiss and the mysterious man as Sara came back with two collapsable cots ready for me to use. I began folding them next to each other in the mostly deserted room.
"Daddy!" Sara cried out as she pointed towards the man with long black hair who was coughing up blood. His eyes were fluttering open which were examing the enviroment and eventually spotted both me and Sara who were a reasonable distance away from him.
"You're alive...suprisingly. What' is your name?" I asked him as his head leaned back groaning from the pain.
"I...I...don't remember." He responded painfully. Blood dripped from his coat as his wounds began bleeding once more. Walking over to him, I lifted him off the ground as his coat fell away to reveal a massive impalement wound on his lower abdomen.
"How in the hell did you get this? Better yet, how in the world did you wash up on the beach down from the mountains?" I asked again placing him on the cot as it stained the worn fabric.
"I don't know..." He responded the same way. Amnesia...he must of hit his head on the rocks in the rapids. But it still didn't explain why he had this many cuts and wounds. None of them from the rocks.
"Daddy...why is that man bleeding? Is he hurt?" She asked innocently as I forgot about Sara in this instant.
"Yes Sara, he is hurt, which is why were are going to play doctor. Go ahead and get the supplies Daddy keeps in his room okay?" I asked her smiling before she nodded playfully before running off quickly. I quickly picked up Weiss and placed her on the opposite bed. Her wounds being less serious, I decided to tend to the stranger who was with her. Sara came running back into the room holding a small medical kit.
"Here you go Daddy!" She presented to me smiling. I calmly took it from her as I began working on the stranger in order to keep him from bleeding out.
Weiss...
What? Who are you?
You knew me once before...however none of it matters. He needs your help.
Kyran?
Yes...so please wake up...
I opened my eyes to an old wooden ceiling as pain began flowing back into my body. Where was I? What...happened. Turning my head to see a man who was working on Kyran. I tried to speak but my mind refused it.
"Daddy! The snow lady...she is awake!" A young girl cried out pointing at me as if she was unaware of the current situation. The other man turned his face towards me as I fearfully stared at what I thought was a savoir. He could of done something far worse and I wouldn't even know.
"What...are you doing to him?" I asked weakfully as he stopped with bloody covered hands and smiled.
"Saving his life Ms. Schnee. If you want to be of help, tell me his name." He asked as I showed a look of confusion.
"His name is...Kyran...why?" I responded hesitantly. The pain coming back so suddenly.
"Because he doesn't know who he is...or why he is here. And You do. Which can help me help you, understand?" He asked me as I nodded looking back up at the ceiling. He lost his memory? How...when did that happen. Wait...during the rapids. He was knocked out when we resurfaced. Maybe...maybe that's when it happened. But when did we wash ashore? When were we brought in? All I remember before waking up here is the sand of the beach before being brought here. Also, the voice of a small girl. Who was this man? And why...why would he help us both?
3 hours later
Northen Village
Ariana looked around in horror as she saw the destruction of her father. All these Faunus...dead by his hand and the work of his men. Why would such a deprived man do such a sick and horrible thing?
"Ari! Did you find him?" Mura yelled from across the bloodied wasteland.
"No! No sign of Kyran, Weiss or..." Before I could speak his name, the man was strewn across the ground headless and rotting amongst the corpses.
"Oh god..." I said holding my mouth shut from the horrifying sight. Murasaki came running towards me before stopping moments before seeing not Gale...but his former love Cecilia amongst the corpses as well.
"No...Cecilia...god no." He lifted up her bloody pale body hugging it tightly before crying. I looked over seeing her as well. What the hell had happened...Kyran would never let any of this happen yet...neither of us found him.
"Mura...are you okay?" I asked him as he looked up with a face of pure trauma. He was scarred to see her like this and refused himself to even speak. I walked past him as he still head Cecilia in his arms tight, still crying the tears of horrific pain. I walked towards the edge of the battlefield as I noticed a trail of blood leading to the cliffside. Following it, it may have a clue. One I didn't see before. Stopping before the cliff. I looked down into the freezing rapids below. Could it be that...they fell? But how is the better question. What if it was forced or maybe...no.
"Mura, I think I have an..."I stopped talking as I saw him lift the frail body of Cecilia off the scarred ground. "MURA!" I yelled as I ran over to him grabbing his shoulder. "Muras..." I stoppe again as I saw the painful tears in his eyes.
"Please Ariana, let me at least bury her. Somewhere proper...somewhat of a proper burial...please." He spoke still heartstruck in his mind and soul. I smiled as I turned to look once more at the cliff.
"Alright Mura, we'll give her a proper burial. Its what she deserves." I said smiling. He held back his tears for a moment.
"Thank you Ari." He said softly continuing once more in his intended direction. We would bury Cecilia in a place where she would no longer worry about the world anymore. However, after. We would need to investigate that lead...and fast. Otherwise...I may lose my brother forever...
I would never...let that happen.
